- "This lower level apartment was too cute! Just be careful on the stairs. There are "grip pads" (not sure what they are really called) on the stairs but they slide too. Other than that, I, along with my family and friends that came to see me while I was in town, were VERY impressed by this cute hidden gem. I had a small gathering on the large patio that moved into the apartment later. There is plenty of space/seating and they have extra folding chairs in the apartment. If you happen to run into the tenants upstairs, they all seem super nice. In conclusion, great location, really nice appliances, lively colors, nice cookware set, dishes/utensils (only needed to get a whine bottle opener) and great response time from the agent when needed. Hopefully this place will be available again on my next trip back home."

Prior to my trip, I told her about an event I was in town for, and she left a handwritten note welcoming me to her property and included the event; I appreciated that personal touch so much! I also loved the candies and treats left for us. The apartment was huge and unassuming! I was not expecting it to be so large. The kitchen is filled with modern appliance (I didn't use them, but it was nice to have the option). The bed in the master bedroom was comfy, and everything was spacious. Great care has been put into this listing by Michelle. The bathroom was clean and equipped with everything needed for the stay. Michelle provides a thorough binder with everything one needs to know while staying. Overall, the stay was wonderful and just what I needed. - "We had a great experience with this property. It was clean and comfortable. It does not have air conditioning, which was stated in the description of the rental. We did bring a couple of fans for at night, just in case. It was quite warm at night so we used the fans. The neighborhood was fairly quiet which was nice. The grounds are kept up and nice to sit out in the back listening to the birds. The hosts were easy to contact and fairly quick to responding with sny questions or concerns."

The Master Suite has a custom four-poster bed with a new hybrid mattress, a new couch, sitting area, free WiFi, microwave, smart TV, TWO closets, a dresser and a desk / workspace area with several surge protectors. New windows have been recently installed, which reduces noise and keeps the room warm. The room is decorated with some of Christine's original artwork. The private Master Bath has two sinks, Hollywood-style mirror, lots of plugs and a separate toilet/shower. The 26 x 12' space takes up the whole width of this 1974 Raised Ranch. There is a window air conditioner unit.

The outdoor raised deck offers a relaxing getaway to unwind in the Adirondack chairs amongst colorful flowers that attract a wide variety of birds, especially hummingbirds in the summer! The lawn is naturalized with native plants. The property is a certified Wildlife Habitat from the National Wildlife Federation. There are three cats: Suki, Zowie & Bandit. Suki hides, but Zowie and Bandit love guests.

The area: enjoy day trips to Connecticut’s cultural treasures, from Hartford to New Haven. Bordering on the gateway to the Litchfield Hills, explore the beautiful fall foliage and rolling hills of Northwest Connecticut, or take a drive into the Berkshires. Nature trails can be found right around the corner. Connecticut boasts amazing food, from famous New Haven pizza, to seafood, wineries and local breweries.

Waterbury is a very ethnically diverse city with lots of great restaurants. Everything is close and convenient and the neighborhood is very safe and quiet. Metro-North is close by, New York City is only a heartbeat away.
