There is a normal level activity from cars and pedestrians during the day and evening hours. At the end of the block is one of Hudson's oddities—the freight train tracks. These trains run infrequently.

Although this is a new listing on VRBO ,we are not strangers to renting and managing apartments. We have rented this and two other apartments in the building on long term leases since 2007. This apartment is very bright thanks to 3 large windows facing the street and 4 windows on the side facing the garden which is a rarity on Warren Street.
The apartment offers a complete kitchen including a large oven, dishwasher, microwave and all the necessary utensils to prepare breakfast,lunch and diner should you decide to eat in. The kitchen island offers seating for two and the dining table seats 6 adult comfortably.

The large bedroom offers a king size bed, flat screen tv and plenty of storage .
This apartment is perfectly suited for the business traveler or a vacation stay in Hudson .

This grand Federal style house at 216-220 Warren Street was originally built, probably in the last decade of the 18th century, for Thomas Jenkins, who is believed to have been the richest of the original Proprietors. It was Thomas who, with his brother Seth, set out from Nantucket in 1783 to find a safe harbor for their vessels and those of other seafaring men from New England and found and purchased Claverack Landing. Tradition has it that, in the good Quaker community that was early Hudson, Thomas Jenkins was considered to be 'somewhat aristocratic' and was roundly criticized for the ostentation of his palatial home.

In her Colonial Restoration and Old Upper Hudson Walking Tours, first published in 1984, Mrs. Granvil Hills tells us that 'the house was later divided into 2 dwellings.' It is definitely two dwellings today, but it is not entirely clear when the division happened. In 1848, more than half a century after it was built, the house became a school for young ladies. What Anna Bradbury has to say about the school in her History of the City of Hudson suggests that it had already been divided at that point.
In 1848 the Misses Peake established a 'Young Ladies Seminary,' that for more than thirty years attracted the patronage of the best people of the city and vicinity. It was located at Number 216 Warren street with a fine schoolroom in the adjoining dwelling. Miss Elizabeth Peake, the head of the institution, was a person of superior mind and culture, and was the author of two very excellent books, one 'Pen Pictures of Europe,' and the other a 'History of the German Emperors,' which necessitated research in the great libraries of Germany, and exhibited great ability.

Before he bought 400 State Street and made it his home, the building had been the Reverend J. B. Hague's Hudson Female Academy, and he moved to this house on Warren Street soon after it ceased being the Misses Peake's Young Ladies Seminary.

In 1894, all or part of 216-220 Warren Street became the Howard Hotel, and so it remained until 1944.

Some time after the Howard Hotel closed in 1944, the building where Savoia is now located was added, and a bar opened there named for Hudson's most notorious home-based industry.

The building that started out as the grandest house in Hudson went through hard times in the 1980s and 1990s, but today, at more than two hundred years of age, it survives and thrives, although clearly as two separate and distinct parts.

- "We had a lovely stay at this property. Peaceful, beautiful views of the Hudson River. Owners were very responsive and went above and beyond. Thank you!" - "We were lucky enough to spend a spectacular spring week here. Every day, the view seemed just a little different. We loved sitting out on the porch enjoying the area come alive (pro-tip: if you like to blow bubbles, this is your place). This home is so well stocked—you know that feeling when you arrive late in the day to a rental and immediately head out to the store because there’s maybe 2 ketchup packets in a drawer and a quarter-roll of 1-ply? Not this home. This home is ready for you. Everything you need for cooking, stocked bathrooms, even welcome candies and water bottles in the fridge. Sheets are so soft, there are more towels than I have at home, and they even have robes hanging in the closets. You feel like a guest not a renter. The house is private and soooo quiet, other than the occasional train horn, which I loved hearing. We had deer, groundhogs, and even some sassy wild turkeys looking in the bedroom window one morning! Communication with the owner is excellent and prompt—they even send restaurant recommendations! And yeah, you want to go the restaurants—we had some wonderful meals in both Hudson and Catskill. Caution for anyone with mobility issues: there are 3-4 steps to get in, and the staircase to the downstairs area might be a challenge. All in all, this is a lovely place to feed your soul (and your belly—I’m not kidding about those restaurants!)"

Hudson Milliner is centrally located on the 400 block of Warren Street in Hudson. You have a great selection of restaurants, incredible antique stores, coffee shops, local pubs, as well as live music venues within walking distance. A nature walk just north of Hudson in the reserve is just a bike- or car ride away. A little further away are our personal favorites Bash Bish Falls and Kaaterskill Falls. If you are interested in Skiing during the winter we are 40 minutes or less away from 3 different ski resorts!

The unit is two floors above a bar and it can get noisy on weekend nights. However, you'll be on the top floor of the building so the noise shouldn't be too disruptive. You will receive a discount at Lawrence Park, the bar downstairs (details provided when booked).

- "The property was misrepresented as two bedroom when only one. The location of the second bed does not have a door nor a closet. A desk was listed and not in the apartment. I used the apartment for remote work and needed a desk. Many of the power outlets did not work. The lamps in the bedroom with a door did not have light bulbs.When the oven and stove did not work, the owner responded 6 hours later after I notified VRBO and Evolve. She told me the stove needed to be plugged in. This required me to move the oven away from the wall and plug in the 240 V power plug. I also move the oven back to the original location. The oven did work after I plugged it in. I feel this is unreasonable to ask a guest to do.I had safety concerns because the door to the apartment could not be secured from within the apartment as it opened out into the hallway and did not have a secondary lock on the inside."

POOL AVAILABILITY & HEATING:
The pool is open during the warmer months from mid-April to October 14th. If confirmed available, there is a $150/day fee for pool heating at this home.

Once the heating fee is settled, the pool will be set to an auto-non-adjustable 77-82°F degrees to avoid bacterial growth.

Please let us know at least 72 hours before your arrival if you want the pool heated for your stay between the months mentioned.

Note: Pool service is scheduled every Tuesday at Wander Hudson Ridge. While we aim to minimize any inconvenience, please be aware that the service team may need to access the pool area briefly during your stay.

CELL SERVICE
You may experience cell service disruption in this part of New York. To ensure you have no issue with arrival, please be sure to program your GPS ahead of time in a service area.

The Skinny: Built in 1848 as a wedding present, the Catherine Bushnell Mansion had become a prominent bed-and-breakfast by the mid-twentieth century. Guests at the inn, included First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, actress Helen Hayes, and mid-century icon Marilyn Monroe. Our well-appointed, first floor guest suite is a centrally-located, cozy place to stay in Hudson, just a 12 minute walk from the Amtrak train station, and ideal for those without the need for a kitchen who plan to eat out at the great restaurants within walking distance. Guests will enjoy staying in a home built in 1834 that has been tastefully updated and renovated, with high ceilings, a mix of modern and retro furniture, and a bedroom connected by French doors to a living room with sofa bed.

The guest suite is on the first floor and consists of a bedroom with a queen size bed, living room, and bathroom - there is no kitchen in this unit - though there is a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and electric tea kettle in the living room.

The guest suite is equipped with fast and reliable WiFi, as well as wired internet via an ethernet wall outlet, and a 40" Roku Smart TV with YouTube TV, HBO Max, Hulu, Disney+, Apple TV+, and access to other app-based streaming services (there is no traditional cable/antenna TV service). Heating and cooling is controlled by ductless Mitsubishi AC/heat pump units and a bedroom ceiling fan, with backup radiator heat monitored and controlled by a Nest Thermostat.

Just outside the suite is our cafe, a kitchenette set up for the exclusive use of our airbnb guests, stocked with tea, coffee (via Keurig or french press), sweeteners, place settings and glassware, a mini-fridge, microwave, electric kettle and toaster. The cafe is a communal space, shared by guests in the Sunrise and Oakview Suites.

Eat, drink and be merry around the table in the airy loggia or sit back in the cozy rocking chair looking north across the rooftops toward Warren St.

Free alternate side of the street parking is in effect seven days a week, except for summer weekends, when you can park on either side of the street (still free). We will fill you in on the details upon booking. This suite is located on the second floor of the house, up one flight of stairs (17 stair steps).

We love your pets! However, we do not typically allow animals on the property except for service animals. If you have a service animal, we will ask (per Airbnb policy) if you: a) require your service animal because of a disability; and b) what work or task the service animal has been trained to perform.

There are neighbors on the second floor, so some noise (muffled voices, background TV or music) can be heard from floor to floor depending on the circumstances. This has never been an issue, but if you are especially sensitive, please be advised.

The guest house is newly renovated within the former 350 square foot attached garage. The design is inspired by our love of LA's Case Study houses. Warm hardwood floors, high ceilings, large windows, skylights, heat/air conditioning, upgraded insulation, and a kitchenette were added to convert the space into a comfortable space for visitors.

The guest house is located in the garage. You'll find the entrance on the left side of the house. The gravel side yard and adjacent woods are there for your enjoyment and use, however the grass section of the back yard is closed to guests.

If you plan to bring a dog please let us know in your initial message. Please note the pet fee and select the option for a pet when sending a reservation request. We do not allow cats. Dogs must be house trained. We discourage guests from leaving dogs in the apartment unattended. We require guests either bring a kennel or use ours if a dog is alone. The Second room separated by a half wall with windows is setup as either a living room or sleeping space as it contains daybed and pullout trundle bed (sleeps 2).

This second floor apartment is located above a Warren Street storefront. The space is fully furnished and decorated with a modern aesthetic. There is plenty of natural light and an airy feel with views of the park across the street.

The apartment is located on Warren Street (Hudson's "Main Street") with windows along the front in the living room and front bedroom. There is a normal level activity from cars and pedestrians during the day and evening hours. At the end of the block is one of Hudson's oddities—the freight train tracks. These trains run infrequently.

Welcome to my 120+ year old home in downtown Hudson, NY. This sweet, cozy semi attached house has charm and character. It's perfectly situated for exploring the historic city of Hudson, especially the downtown commercial district. Come in by Amtrak and walk right to the home, shopping, city parks, dining options, and more. Or, drive in and use this home as a launching site for exploring the greater Hudson Valley, including hiking, farms, art and cultural sites, and more.

The space
Perfectly situated on the downtown "grid" of the teeny city of Hudson, my home is a quick walk to the major commercial district that stretches across Warren Street.

My home is functional, comfortable and overflowing with good vibes. This home is ideal for singles, couples, or small groups of friends (with any well behaved pets that accompany you). It’s not a party house or high end B and B.

The home is attached to a building on one side, and a few yards from the neighbors on the other. The front entrance sits behind a picket fence, bringing you into a charming, sweet home among the brick row houses of the block. It's the perfect intersection of "city living" and a private Hudson Valley retreat.

You'll enter the home through the sun porch in front or the mudroom via the backyard, and I hope you'll feel at home in this old (but new-to-me) home. A well-stocked kitchen, laundry room, and living spaces will be at your disposal. You'll notice my abundance of cooking equipment and spices, a huge variety of books (including middle grade and YA novels), the Peloton and exercise equipment, and mixture of vintage furnishings and decor pieces.

The home is a work-in-progress! Rather than wait until the decor and storage solutions are "done" to list the home, I'm thrilled to be able to host trustworthy guests at an affordable price to spend time in my primary residence when I'm away.

My ~1100 square foot house has two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. You'll be able to check yourself in using the lock box, and you'll have access the whole home. Downstairs there is a sun porch, living room, dining room (that I mostly use as my "home office" and "home gym"), kitchen, and half-bath/laundry room. Up the stairs, you'll find two comfortable bedrooms and a full bathroom.

This is my primary residence and not a full-time guest house or short-term rental facility, so you will notice that my personal items are here. Help yourself to books and puzzles during your stay, light candles for a cozy vibe, use the bath salts for a nice soak, take a Peloton class or do some mat yoga, and feel free to dip into my pantry items if you're cooking. Feel free to make yourself breakfast (eggs, toast, jam, oatmeal and fixings) while you're here.

When the weather permits, the backyard and sun porch are lovely places to spend time!

We are located on U.S. Route 9. It is a well traveled, main road but close to everything! It is peaceful but not quiet. For nature lovers, explore the area with hikes on local trails or on a kayak down the river. We are 5miles from the Hudson River Skywalk, Olana and Thomas Cole. We are 3.9miles to Warren Street where you can enjoy a full day of shopping, spa and food. The Catskills has much to offer. The cottage is in the perfect area to enjoy it all year round!

This country escape is the ideal getaway from the busy city life. Guests will experience the best of both worlds. The farmhouse is located in an idyllic acre of land with a lovely garden and huge deck to enjoy the sunsets and picturesque mountain views. This serene location is the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. When you're ready to hit the town, the house is only a 5-minute drive to downtown, where you can enjoy its many restaurants, shops, bars, café, art, and vibrancy of Warren Street.

The space
As you enter the property you will be welcomed with an acre of land that is surrounded by trees which blooms beautifully in the spring and summer. From the side of the house, as you walk down the rocky pathway leads you to a deck that's furnished with outdoor patio chairs, and a huge sombrero, for you to chill out, and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner outdoors. This deck overlooks a lovely flower garden that guests can enjoy on a rustic garden bench during the spring and summer, as the flowers blossom. As you go down the steps to the garden, you will encounter a breezy patio area, paved with stone and gravel, where you can delight in the summer breeze, while sipping your favorite beverage. There is also a hammock in another area, where you can relax and enjoy a good book, or bird watch on the hand made log bench or do yoga if you wish.
As you enter the house through the side door, there is a foyer area. Straight ahead is the main bedroom that has a comfortable King size bed with memory foam mattress for a peaceful sleep. The room is also equipped with a vanity and closet for your convenience. To the left of the foyer, there is dining space, and a comfortable and a cozy family room. Down a short hallway you'll find the laundry room and a bathroom. To your right is an open concept kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, a stove, coffee maker, microwave, and blender. Next to the kitchen is an inviting living room with a non- working wood burning fire place ( will be repaired at a later date) for you to get comfortable, and enjoy the space as you do at home.

As you continue up the stairs to your left is a bathroom. To your right is a large bedroom with a queen size memory foam bed, with a sitting area for you to sip a beverage before retiring for the night. There is also a closet and vanity for your convenience.
Downtown Warren Street is a vibrant area with plenty of parking space, that is easy to find if you are driving. There are also local taxi services available if you decide not to drive. You can find details of taxi service in the manual. There are other activities in the surrounding area, which includes hiking in the Catskills and the Berkshires. There is also apple picking. You can go Skiing at Catamount it is only 20 min by car.

This is a lovely bright home that is furnished mostly with items bought from shops and auctions in and around Hudson. Has a charming porch and backyard to relax in when you need a reprieve from all the fun Hudson has to offer.

Other things to note
There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor. A bedroom at the front, another bedroom in the middle, and a bathroom at the back, off of a small hallway. So the person staying at the front bedroom needs to go through the middle bedroom to get to the small hallway and bathroom. There is an alternative way to get to it though. Person staying in the front bedroom can use the main stairs to go down to the first floor and then use the back stairs to come back up to the hallway that the bathroom is off of. This is if one needs a full bathroom. There’s also a guest bathroom on the first floor that the guest staying at the front bedroom can use by going down the stairs.
