Built during the development of the ski area and thoughtfully renovated since then, this cabin with thought vintage ski decor, classic furnishings, & patterned textiles that exude character & warmth. Come home from a day on the slopes (a short walk away from Cranmore Mtn and under a mile from North Conway Village) or a fall drive on the Kancamagus Highway & relax in the warmth of the pellet stove.

This home is practically equidistant from the center of North Conway Village (half a mile west) and the base of the historic Cranmore Mountain Resort (less than half a mile east). You`ll have no shortage of activities and attractions at your fingertips, whether you choose to go outlet shopping in town, take a ride on the Conway Scenic Railroad or the Kancamagus Highway, or tee off at the North Conway Golf Course. In addition to the slopes of Cranmore, you`ll be close to several other beloved mountain resorts, including Attitash (nine miles northwest), Wildcat (18 miles north), and Bretton Woods (30 miles northwest).

Take extra caution when walking from the driveway to the front door in the winter as the walkway can be slippery, especially in ski boots. Should you need them, shovels and ice melt are provided.

4 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. (Sheets, pillow cases and bath towels are not provided). The lower level Master Suite has a smart HD TV and a 4-person outdoor spa. The main level has a living/dining room (with a second flat-screen HD TV as well), kitchen, bedroom and a full bath. The upper level has 2 bedrooms (one is a loft). The mountain lodge design will remind you of Big Sky Country! Take the five-minute walk to Echo Lake for swimming. Snowmobile, cross-country skiing and mountain bike trails from the front door! The Saco River is 1/2 mile away for tubing, kayaking and canoeing. Diana's Bath waterfalls are just a mile hike or drive away as well.

Private get-away: Our home is located in a small, quiet neighborhood next to Echo Lake and the national forest. Nearby homes are obscured by trees so the back yard is private. Relax on the deck or in the screened porch or outside deck. Stake out your spot at the beach and watch climbers scale the face of Whitehorse Ledge. This home sleeps 6 comfortably, with 2 full bathrooms and multiple living spaces to spread out. Open concept with a fully equipped kitchen that has everything needed for an easy stay - along with standard appliances (refrigerator w/ ice maker, gas stove, dishwasher) there’s a Keurig, toaster, microwave and a crockpot.

Home also has a washer /dryer, Weber grill, fire pit, window A/Cs in the bedrooms, 4 flat screen TVs with You Tube TV, Amazon Fire, & Apple TV capabilities (for your account access) and an xbox in the basement TV and WiFi.

Well behaved, trained dogs (no furniture dwellers, please) can be considered with limited access to the finished basement only, for an additional fee .

Note, there is an outdoor camera facing the driveway for security purposes for when the house is not in use.

This house is not child-proof, please bring any items you may need to keep small children safe. The property has a small easy accessible pond - children MUST be supervised at all times.

Note to previous renters - We are no longer offering access to the hot tub as maintenance has too many challenges. The local hot tub service is terribly unreliable and thus we don't feel comfortable offering use of the hot tub any longer.

**WINTER NOTICE** - Roads get plowed after every snow fall but it might take some time for the plow to get to our road, please be aware that older or small cars without All Wheel Drive may have difficulty driving to the cabin while it is actively snowing. KITCHEN: The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need to cook meals, and there is even a Nespresso coffee machine and tea bar with complimentary Nespresso pods assortments of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate!

PETS: We ask for visitors not to bring more than 2 pets. Pet fee of $100 applies per stay. Pets are not allowed on the furniture/in bed. We ask that any pets that stay with us be well behaved and house trained. Please make sure they are up to date on their flea and tick medications since there are a lot of trees on the property. If you choose to leave your pets alone in the house please make sure they are crated (one large crate provided, please ask for its storage location). Thanks!

About the cabin: This is a rustic cabin with modern features. It is furnished with Green Mountain Furniture and décor throughout to complete the cabin feel. The cabin has all new appliances and a new ductless mini split system (heat and AC) for your comfort during all 4 seasons. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the gas fireplace in the living area. There is patio furniture on the screened in farmers porch to enjoy 3 seasons. The courtyard has a hot tub, grill and fire pit!

30$ per night for 1 dog. Must clean up all pet waste and keep off all furniture or bring your own covers for beds & couch. If there’s dog waste left behind anywhere or excess dog fur or other signs of the dog on furniture the extra cleaning fee that our cleaner charges us will be charged to you.

Please be advised-- the bedrooms are connected which is better suited for families and close friends. (To get to the queen bedroom you must walk through the bunk bedroom.) We have installed a curtain divider for better privacy!

Our cabin is serviced by a private well with a water treatment system, ensuring water is safe for showering and cooking. For drinking, we recommend using bottled water, as the well water may occasionally have an unpleasant odor or taste (though we drink it without issue). The hot tub, filled with treated well water, is thoroughly cleaned and balanced between each guest to ensure a refreshing experience, though minor staining or scale may occur due to the natural mineral content.

This is a Cabin in the woods of New Hampshire. There may be bugs and other wild life outside of the cabin depending on the season. Bugs & other wild life may end up in the house if the doors are kept open too long. We do have a monthly subscription to keep the pests at a minimum.

There are security cameras on property. Disabling and/or tampering with them is a violation of the rules and subject to cancellation with no refund.

Camera 1 is a spotlight facing outward, toward the porch.
Camera 2 is a spotlight located on the side, facing outward toward the driveway.
Camera 3 is a spot light located on the home facing the yard and swing.
Camera 4 is a spot light located on the garage facing the driveway.
The cameras do not look into any interior spaces or the private courtyard. The cameras actively record video when motion is detected by the device. The cameras are used for security of our property including; confirm the cleaners have arrived, necessary maintenance has been performed, guests have checked in / out at the correct time, there aren't any unauthorized guests or pets and all rules have been followed.

The Cabin is located on a 5mph private dirt road. 4X4 / AWD may be necessary in winter / spring. Please be advised it can get dusty when it’s dry and muddy when it is wet!

There is a beach on the Saco that is a 15 minute walk. There is no parking down at the beach as it is private to the neighborhood. If you’re interested in walking to the beach let me know and i can explain how to get there!

The two full beds are on the landing above the living space and are not completely private.

Welcome to our cozy 3-bedroom A-frame cabin, nestled in the heart of North Conway. Originally built by our grandparents in the 1960's, this A-frame serves as the perfect home-base for adventuring and exploring all that the White Mountains have to offer; skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, hiking, biking, breweries, dining, leaf-peeping and the like!

The Space:
While this cabin was constructed in the 1960's, it's been modernized over the years while maintaining its rustic, mountain-town character. Enjoy our brand new kitchen with all new appliances. Get cozy and gather in the main living room around our wood fireplace and play board games or watch a movie. Catch the sunrise or sunset from the front deck, as it lights up the mountains orange and pink. Have a campfire and roast some s'mores while taking in 180 degree views of the mountains. The house itself sits on a spacious 3 acre lot, overlooking North Conway's farmlands and mountains.

Located just off West Side Road in North Conway, it's just a short drive to all of your favorite spots; 9min to Echo Lake State Park, 10min to Cathedral Ledge, 13min to Cranmore, 18min to Attitash, 35min to Wildcat, 1min to Marshall Conservation Mountain Bike Trails, 31min to Pinkham Notch Visitor Center, and just 10min to shopping and dining in downtown North Conway.

Guest Access:
From the moment you arrive and make use of the convenient self-check-in, we encourage you to enjoy the entire house. The property is at your complete disposal with the exception of the third floor attic, which is used as owner storage, and the sheds on the property which are also for storage.

The main entrance into the house is up three stairs to the landing, then another step up into the house. The front door will have a 4-digit code for access, which is also used to lock the door when leaving.

The door at the back of the house to the utility room only locks from the inside via a sliding deadbolt.

Other Things to Note:
Because the house was built in the 1960's, some features, such as the stairs to the second floor, are a bit smaller than what's seen in modern new-build homes. The stairs to the second floor measure just 19 inches wide. The second floor bathroom has similar "smaller than normal" dimensions typical for an A-frame from the 60's.

- Guest making the reservation must be over 25. All guests must be over 25 if not part of a family. This is non negotiable. Please do not book if everyone in your group is not 25+ years old.
- No smoking in the house
- The number of guests requested on the booking is the max amount allowed to spend the night.
- A rental agreement may be provided with more specific rules and information.
- Quiet time is from 10pm-8am (inside and outside of the house)

The space
Location, Location, Location. That's what is unique about the Cabin Rest. It's a short drive to the Albany Covered Bridge and the Kancamagus Highway, which brings you to the other side of the Forest, Franconia, Whales Tale, Woodstock and Historic Lincoln, NH. and only 40 minutes to Storyland. Huge country yard, for kids to play, gentle hill in back for sledding, white National Forest all around, only one neighbor can be seen. Lots of parking space, Red Eagle Pond is a quick nearby walk for nature lovers, and fishing folks. Lots of trails and easy 10-minute walk on forest trails to the Swift River. Camp fire with permit, and a place for a tent or two, extra charge for tents.
The house is simple and clean, and a single dwelling place so no sharing anything. Our cabin is not new, it is a family camp. Many people have enjoyed our place for 20 years. Our kids are grown, and we only use it occasionally, now we get to share the White Mountain experience with others at a fair and economical price.
Canoeing, hiking, but most of all Resting is available in our quiet setting.

We share the forest with animals, an occasional bear, or moose, (keep porch door closed and trash covers on please), a mouse or squirrel once and a while, definitely some mosquitoes in the spring, (nice screened in porch for protection), and whatever else loves forest life.
Most of our place is available for your use, our stuff is there but you can use it. Please keep the cellar trap door closed, and do not open the sheds up, they are private, thanks. Games, puzzles, books, magazines, movies, game console, no cable, but we do have Wi-Fi so enjoy.
Toys and dolls, trucks and diving stuff, thank you for using with respect.

Other things to note
The property owner behind us occasionally use our driveway to access their back pasture, but always with a good notice. Sweet people and though you can't see them they are great neighbors as are the property owners to the left of our Cabin Rest. Neighbor to the left is a wonderful young man, quiet with a bunch of boys. They keep a watch on our place when we are away. They know we are having guests a lot and do not mind. You can't hear them ever. Traffic slows down in the winter when the road is closed about 4 miles in.

Other things to note
First and foremost, this is a cabin-like house near the woods. It is comfortable with standard amenities; however, this is not hotel quality. It was recently updated including floors, cabinets, counters etc..

We are pet friendly (1 pet only) but contact host for fees for an additional pet. The expectation is that the guest picks up after their pet, do not leave alone and keeps pets off the furniture especially the beds since the comforters are difficult and expensive to clean. Please be courteous so others can enjoy the retreat also.

The house/landscape is maintained regularly by a local person but keep in mind that we are situated close to nature (e.g., woods, brush, uneven landscape, critters) so if you are uncomfortable with nature-like conditions then this is NOT the house for you.

We only have shower capability, no bath option.

For TV, you can stream or connect to the VSH/DVD player. Live YouTube and Prime streaming are available for guests. There is a small DVD only TV in the bedroom with the twin beds. We have an assortment of older VHS and DVD available in the blue cabinet near the entry way.

We do not supply fire wood for the wood stove or fire pit or lighters for liability purposes but they are available for responsible guest use. I would recommend bringing "fire starters" also to make it easier to start a fire especially if you are not familiar with wood stove usage. There are multiple places along RT 16 and within town to purchase wood (e.g., street stands, Lowes/home Depot etc..).

Winters (November thru April) in the white mountains can be unpredictable. It is common to have brief electrical outages and snow squalls resulting in snow drifts and fast accumulations. The driveway and pathway to house is plowed regularly but is on a schedule so may not be fully plowed/shoveled depending on snow conditions and guest arrival time. Therefore, there may be times a guest may encounter snow/ice on the driveway or pathway to the house prior to the plowing/shoveling. If you are unable or unwilling to adjust to these unpredictable winter conditions and activities then this is NOT the winter cabin for you.

Caution: The driveway and deck can become very icy in winter. It is recommended to to wear boots with good traction when coming and going from the house and walking around the driveway/property.

Accessibility to the front and back yard in winter is severely restricted due to snow accumulations. It can often be several feet deep. We will try to maintain a small space for pets to use but depending on the conditions cannot be guaranteed. Please plan on walking your pet and be careful as it is always slippery.

If the power goes out; it is usually for only a short time. The propane heater will not operate without electricity. Plan on using the wood stove. There will be some battery operated lanterns that are accessible. Please do not use candles if at all possible as they can be dangerous (especially if left unattended). The host has no control over the power outages so plan accordingly.

The property has an out building which contains the small game room but this is not available between December thru April as it is not heated and stores the snow blower.

Please note that this is a rustic cabin in a rural area! The cabin is warm, comfortable, completely updated, and features all the regular amenities, plus a hot tub! However, due to the rural area and services available, please note the check-out procedures, which include stripping the sheets, starting dishes, and laundering the linens (on-site washer and dryer). On-site garbage disposal is now available (there is a bear-proof dumpster - never leave trash anywhere but in the dumpster as bears are a reality of this area!) We try to go green as much as possible, so recycling is available, but it must be rinsed, sorted, and taken to the transfer station. Our cleaning service can take care of the laundry for an extra fee, with advance notice.

Welcome to our cozy 3-bedroom A-frame cabin, nestled in the heart of North Conway. Originally built by our grandparents in the 1960's, this A-frame serves as the perfect home-base for adventuring and exploring all that the White Mountains have to offer; skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, hiking, biking, breweries, dining, floating the Saco, leaf-peeping and the like!

The space
While this cabin was constructed in the 1960's, it's been modernized over the years while maintaining its rustic, mountain-town character. Enjoy our brand new kitchen with all new appliances. Get cozy and gather in the main living room around our wood fireplace and play board games or watch a movie. Catch the sunrise or sunset from the front deck, as it lights up the mountains orange and pink. Have a campfire and roast some s'mores while taking in 180 degree views of the mountains. The house itself sits on a spacious 3 acre lot, overlooking North Conway's farmlands and mountains.

Located just off West Side Road in North Conway, it's just a short drive to all of your favorite spots; 9min to Echo Lake State Park, 10min to Cathedral Ledge, 13min to Cranmore, 18min to Attitash, 35min to Wildcat, 1min to Marshall Conservation Mountain Bike Trails, 31min to Pinkham Notch Visitor Center, 5-10min from the start and finish for floating the Saco River, and just 10min to shopping and dining in downtown North Conway.

From the moment you arrive and make use of the convenient self-check-in, we encourage you to enjoy the entire house. The property is at your complete disposal with the exception of the third floor attic, which is used as owner storage, and the sheds on the property which are also for storage.

The main entrance into the house is up three stairs to the landing, then another step up into the house. The front door will have a 4-digit code for access, which is also used to lock the door when leaving.

The door at the back of the house to the utility room only locks from the inside via a sliding deadbolt.

Other things to note
Because the house was built in the 1960's, some features, such as the stairs to the second floor, are a bit smaller than what's seen in modern new-build homes. The stairs to the second floor measure just 19 inches wide. The second floor bathroom has similar "smaller than normal" dimensions typical for an A-frame from the 60's.

You'll drive in to the Echo Lake State Park area and be amazed with the views of Cathedral Ledge. Pulling into the driveway, you'll be welcomed with how serene the cabin is among the trees. You'll enter right into the living room and be blown away by the mountain chic decor curated by a local interior designer. Relax on the hammock chair with a book or look out the floor to ceiling windows facing Cathedral Ledge. A new firepit built in 2022 is perfect for summer nights. Cozy up on our sectional with your wine in front of the gas fireplace to watch Netflix or a movie on the Smart TV. Enjoy coffee or cook a basic homemade dinner in our kitchen. Wireless internet is available, along with heat and air conditioning to keep you comfortable.

There are 3 bedrooms in the cabin, 2 with queen sized beds and 1 bunk bed for the kiddos. A full sized bathroom and linen closet has just what you need after a long day skiing or hiking.

Please note - you are in a dog friendly cabin in the woods! A stray bug may join you inside, especially in the summer months.

Please Note:

❗ We're currently in the process of upgrading the furniture and enhancing other aspects of the guest experience. Some of the items shown in the photos may be updated or improved by the time you check in :)

❗ While there are woods on either side and mountain views in the back, we are on a beautiful 35 mph road with varying busy-ness. There's a privacy fence and some trees that keep it feeling relatively private, but you can see the road and will hear cars passing.

❗ The cabin is professionally cleaned between each stay but please note the occasional cobweb or ant may be found (given the nature of the area).

Guest access
There is a keypad on the door and we will send guests the code the morning of their arrival to make things easy. Check in is at 4PM and check out is at 10AM. Parking for 2-3 cars in the driveway.

The entire space will be available for guests to use. Please make sure to not go onto the neighbors property. We have put up yellow chains to make boundary line more clear but if there are any questions please feel free to ask!

- We are located on a beautiful 35mph road, you will hear street noise

- There is no fire pit on property and no outdoor fires are permitted due to safety

Please check the cancellation policy and make sure it works for you before booking. The weather in New England is unpredictable and refunds will not be given for weather related cancellations. Please note date modification requests will incur the same fees as the cancellation policy.
