This chic, updated cabin is nestled in the pine trees of Sprucewold, a 100-year-old, summer, log cabin community and is sure to provide an unforgettable Maine experience. Relax on the deck with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and enjoy the peace and quiet of the woods with deer, wild turkeys and the tranquil sound of Woodcocks.
Or, take advantage of restaurants, boating, shopping and breweries, just a mile away in downtown Boothbay Harbor. Whatever you choose, its sure to be a memorable experience.
Once inside, you’ll see that it has been furnished with an original dining table, but most pieces are newly updated and includes a Restoration Hardware sofa and chairs. The original fireplace is still operational, and the mantel displays a 40-inch flat screen TV that has basic channels, or you can stream your own services if you have them: Netflix, YouTube, Amazon, etc.
The kitchen has been updated and includes a new refrigerator, sink, small appliances and countertops. It is perfectly designed and stocked with all the supplies you need to fix a simple breakfast or a gourmet dinner. A new propane gas grill is available on the back deck.
- "This newly updated and pristine cabin, nestled in the woods, was THE perfect place for our weekend getaway in Boothbay Harbor. Great location, a 5min drive or 25min walk into town. The area provides many restaurants, activities, boating excursions and shops. Don’t miss the day trip to Monhegan Island! Pack your clothes and the rest is taken care of! There definitely was no lack of amenities - fully stocked kitchen with pans, baking sheets, plenty of dishes, new appliances, including Keurig and Nespresso (with the coffee & sugar too!), cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, sheets & towels, games, puzzles, and even extra fans. They literally have it all covered! We had warm summer days, but the cabin stayed cool and the ceiling fans at night were great for circulating the cooler Maine air. The decor provided the perfect New England feel, and we were blown away by the history of the cabin and how it was restored back to beauty - we even met the neighbors who put love and hard work into rebuilding the home! The space was cozy and held our group of 4 adults without issue. We didn’t want to leave, and could have sat on that front porch forever! We will be back to visit again soon for sure!"

Beautiful, picturesque 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage overlooking pristine marsh and waterfront.
There is a hiking trail along water's edge and also kayaks or a canoe for rent to explore the waterways.
The cottage has wood beamed ceilings and pine floors. There is a large wraparound screened porch from which you can enjoy sunset views over the water.
Two bedrooms offer queen size beds and the third has two twin size beds.
For those who desire to stay 'plugged in' we offer basic television channels and wifi.
The kitchen is complete with full size refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee pot not to mention all the pots, pans, dishes and utensils you will need. If you enjoy to BBQ there is a charcoal grill just outside the front door. For lobster lovers we have a large pot available for you to cook them fresh in your cottage.
The Midcoast area of Maine is known for its miles of white sandy beaches and Lobster wharfs where you can enjoy their famous lobster dinners on the dock as you watch the lobstermen bringing in their catch for the day. What makes the midcoast so appealing is the fact that you get to enjoy all this without the crowds. You will love the slower pace of life and the pristine beauty of this untouched area.
- "This was both a great base for exploring the Midcoast region and a place for relaxing on rainy days. We would certainly stay here or at one of the affiliated properties in the future - this cottage is not accessible to guests with mobility issues." - "Our family loved spending time at this beaucolic property, and found so much to do on - and nearby -Georgetown island. Great intro to Maine for us first-timers from California." - "We had such a great stay at Sebago. Plenty of room for a family of three and dog to spread. The screen porch was such a respite during rainy days and hot days (we had both and not much in between). Great breezes too. Close to everything and a perfect home base. Also an easy on/off Route 1, which is key. And you definitely get the family-owned vibe of the entire peninsula, which was unique for our other stays in the area. Katie was great to work with. Very responsive. We already have next summer on the books!"

- "Steps to the beach and everything you could need for a relaxing get away!" - "I grew up coming to Popham beach with 6 siblings every Sunday from Lewiston, Maine. My mom and dad packed up the station wagon, rain or shine... this was our paradise during the 70's through the 90's. My husband and I rented on the beach when our children were young... but haven't in many years. This cottage was amazing. Clean and cozy. Everything that we needed was available. We were lucky enough to get in on a cancellation, and spent three splendid days and nights on a beautiful August weekend. Thank you for a great stay! We would love to stay here again in the future... and recommend it as a premiere and affordable stay at Popham!"

- "The cabin was as listed. Off the beaten track but still close to the action of Boothbay. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and extremely well stocked. Only drawback was no cable or satellite tv, only internet access. But then, who needs tv on vacation?" - "This cabin is in a great location! We walked to everything in the downtown area. The cabin was very well equipped with everything we needed. There is no AC but there are plenty of fans to make it comfortable at night. We’d stay there again!"

- "My husband and I stayed at Ocean Breeze with our 15 month old daughter. It was a tight squeeze for the pack n play, but we managed just fine! The cottage had everything we needed for a HQ for exploring the area. Having outdoor seating was really nice as well! We loved the guide that was provided as well. Greg was very quick to respond and checked in often to assure we had everything we needed. We loved our time on Pemaquid Peninsula." - "We had a lovely stay and enjoyed revisiting the area. The cottage is nicely and carefully decorated and well supplied with all we needed. And it was a special treat to have a garden of lupins in full bloom outside the sitting room window while we were there!"

Come stay at our peaceful, newly renovated cabin, located on the outskirts of Brunswick, close to Harpswell ! This log cabin is situated on 5 acres of land, near the ocean, a perfect retreat ! Recently renovated cabin & as an interior designer, I'm passionate about sustainability and making spaces as eco friendly as possible.
If you are looking for a cozy, peaceful retreat, the Lawless Log Cabin is the place!
The space
We really care about sustainability and being eco friendly. During the renovation, we tried to be as sustainable as possible. (We are not perfect, but we always try to do our best!) Another aspect is using non toxic products and finishes in the space. All of the bedding is Oeko tex certified, along with the mattresses and fabrics in the home. Any stains and paints have no VOC's, too. We sourced a lot of vintage, small business, and eco friendly shops for the furniture and decor.
It sits on 5 acres of land in a quaint part of the town. It's a 10 minute drive into downtown. We are right on the water, (just a slight view and we don't currently have available access, but we are working on it!)
When you walk into the cabin, there is an open living room, dining room and kitchen. The cabin is just under 1200 sq/ft. I did some very quick floor plans to show the basic layout of the space.
We have two bedrooms and a loft. One bedroom has a queen bed and this is where the desk/workspace is. The other bedroom has a full bed. The loft upstairs is very large and has two queen beds, along with a reading nook.
There is one full bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo.
This is a perfect location for a home base while exploring neighboring towns such as Harpswell, Bath, Wiscasset, Phippsburg, Boothbay, Freeport (home of the famous LL Bean and many outlet shops, as well as Portland, and only a 10 minute drive to Bowdoin College. Each coastal town has trails, small and large beaches, fine shops, great restaurants, music theatre, movies, and even a Botanical Garden ! There is so much to explore in this area, there's sure to be something for everyone ! The cabin is also an inviting couples getaway !
The Lawless Log Cabin is proudly managed by Coastal Connections Property Mgmt, Harpswell.
Guest access
The first floor and loft.
Other things to note
While the cabin property is near the ocean, we haven't made full access down to the water just yet. But, we are working on it! There isn't a view of the ocean from the cabin, but if you walk through the property, you can catch a small view through the trees. It's not much, but it's still a pretty area. You can see the photos on the listings of the property/view.
We also fully renovated the entire inside of the home. We are working on the exterior, but it's still a work in progress ! We think it's still a cute little log cabin on the outside!!
While we absolutely love animals, we are not having pets at this time. You can imagine that after the long months of renovations, we are being a bit more cautious about our home. You may see photos of an adorable cattle dog/Aussie, but that is our pup, Kona.
Please note: Cancellations will receive refund as stated in the policy, less any processing fees. This lovely cabin can be viewed and booked on Airbnb, Vrbo, and Maine Coastal Connections, Harpswell, Maine.

- "A great, clean little cabin in a quiet spot!" - "The 4 of us (mom and adult daughters) had a lovely time at the cabin- we appreciated the elegant simplicity of the property- lots of thoughtful details but so clean and uncluttered and well-lit. Thank you for a great trip!" - "This cabin was perfect for us! It sits on a quiet road, but is still close to stores which is convenient. The inside is aesthetic, clean, and spacious. The only issue we had was that we like to cook the majority of our meals, and the kitchen was not well-stocked with cooking equipment, and what was there was not in good shape. We made it work, and that was our only complaint. Such a nice stay!"

Historic, newly renovated, and secluded cabin with 3 bedrooms, this cottage provides everything you need for a quintessentially Maine vacation. The Boathouse literally sits atop a secluded cove in Casco Bay, and features access to the ocean via a private float, as well as a private trail system on 21 acres. The cottage is private, and quiet.
Built in 1920 by local craftsmen for Wall Street stockbroker Herbert Pomeroy Brown, this magnificent structure straddles Long Cove - known locally as Smugglers’ Cove for its colorful past - and features a 30 x 30 living room with an imposing stone fireplace, three bedrooms, a full kitchen, screen porch and laundry. Immediate access to Casco Bay is afforded by the property’s float. Our 12-foot tides mean that at low tide the cove becomes a sandy beach and wading location. A stream (locally called Devil’s Drean) runs through the property and under the Boathouse where it enters the ocean.
Two other cottages on the same property are nearby if guests want to add one or three bedrooms, and baths and kitchens.
Saturday 4 pm to 10 am weekly rental.
Kayaks and paddleboards are available for rental from a local company that delivers and picks up. A private trail system on our 21 acres (see map in photos) connects to a trail system maintained by the adjacent resort.
Guests share - with one other 3 BR cottage 80 yds away - access to the float and a small sandy beach that forms at low tide, as well as to the laundry and bicycles found in the shed. The newly built, signed trail system affords access to the property's 21 acres and to nearby lookouts.
The cottage is at the end of a dead-end gravel road, and is private and quiet.
Guests' primary contact will be with a local property manager, but our summer home is literally down the road and we have a welcoming attitude to new visitors, while respecting guests' privacy.
Play golf or tennis or dine at the adjacent Sebasco Harbor Resort.
Weekly linens and cleaning, high-speed internet; smart TV on request; all new kitchens, baths, and beds..
Our cottages are located in the Sebasco area of Phippsburg (“coastal Maine at its prettiest”), about an hour’s drive from Portland.
Phippsburg was named as one of the ten best cities in America ”to go off the grid” in March 2022, ranking Phippsburg alongside Carmel, California; Aspen, Colorado; and Sedona, Arizona. The website Livability.com had this to say about Phippsburg:
“This is coastal Maine at its prettiest, with picturesque wooden boat houses standing atop thick timber stilts plummeting into the Atlantic. This is the kind of place [where] you . . . chow down on the best lobster you’ll ever put in your mouth. It’s . . . a great place to ‘go dark’ for a bit.” (https://bit.ly/PhippsburgME)
At the southern tip of the Phippsburg peninsula, you can immerse yourself in American history by walking through American-Revolution-era batteries at Fort Baldwin, Civil War-era Fort Popham, and the site of the 1607 Popham Colony, a failed British colony which preceded the Mayflower’s landing at Plymouth. Play tennis or a round of golf at nearby Sebasco Harbor Resort, or go on a beautiful hike to Seawall Beach at Morse Mountain. Experience quintessential Maine’s fresh lobster and oysters at one of the peninsula’s waterfront restaurants. Take a stroll through galleries, local shops, and the Maine Maritime Museum in the historic shipbuilding town of Bath, just 20 minutes away. Or, head back towards the bigger town of Brunswick for dinner and a concert (30 min), check out the outlet shops of Freeport (45 min), walk through historic Boothbay Harbor (55 min), or explore the bustling port and nightlife in Portland (1 hr).

- "We had a lovely stay at the Boathouse. Very quiet and secluded at the edge of the cove, we were able to launch our paddle boards right from the back deck. The stream and hiking trails that surround the house bring extra beauty and an opportunity for amazing sunsets. From this base we were able to dine at local restaurants, play a round of golf down the road, and visit beautiful Popham Beach. It’s a reasonably short ride to Bath, Brunswick, Freeport and even Boothbay to explore the region. Both Bob the owner and Callie the property manager were amazing communicators and provided ample suggestions for maximizing our stay. The home itself was comfortable and had everything we needed, though a quick message to Bob or Callie was an option if we needed anything else. They even left us a loaf of fresh baked bread and fresh flowers with a personal welcome note, a great touch. The deck off the main level is screened in, which was key to enjoy the evenings bug free. Highly recommend. "

This quaint and cozy log cabin built in the 1940's is located in the summer colony of Sprucewold. It is just about 1 mile from downtown Boothbay Harbor. At 750 square feet, this adorable cabin is suited for no more than 4 people. You will have access to a small, private, sandy beach; a rare find on the rocky coast of Maine. There is so much to see and do in the Boothbay area. Life slows down and there is no better place to experience that "Maine, the way life should be" feeling.
Guest access

Enjoy uninterrupted quiet on the Maine coast in our light-filled waterfront cabin. Just 5 minutes from lovely Boothbay Harbor for kayaking, sailing, hiking, seafood tasting, you name it! Or just relax at the cabin in a stunning natural setting.
The space
Enjoy uninterrupted peace and quiet on the Maine coast in this sweet, rustic cabin perfect for artists, writers, or anyone else wanting to unplug and unwind for a few days or weeks. This charming cabin, built in 1982, is situated only 50 feet from the water's edge, and, with only one house visible through the woods, it is difficult to find a more private location than this.
The cabin is of rustic design, with one private bedroom and single common area that includes a kitchenette, eat-in table, couch, and TV (no cable though). Above the common area is a loft with a double bed mattress, accessible by a wooden ladder. Off the common area is an enclosed flush toilet. There is no shower so all washing up must be done in the bathtub. There is no oven, so cooking is done on a two-burner gas hotplate. There is high-speed internet but no telephone connection. Two portable electric heaters are kept permanently in the cabin for any chilly Maine nights. Such simple living is certainly not for everyone, but can be a tremendous treat for those interested in enjoying this beautiful natural setting.
The cabin looks over a salt river (Back River) which is part of the ocean but looks more like a river/lake due to the protection of Barter's Island across the water. The cove that the cabin sits on is tidal, which means that half the time you are looking at the ocean and half the time it is a natural mud flat. So the view changes every 6 hours! To enjoy the water to its fullest when the tide is up, a double kayak may be rented from the property owners at a very reasonable rate.
The cabin is located 5 minutes drive from lovely Boothbay Harbor, a stunning destination for travelers of all kinds. Enjoy fine local seafood, kayaking, whale watching, sunset sailing trips, and the charming downtown with its quaint shops. There are also many beautiful walking trails through the Boothbay Region Land Trust, along with one of the world's finest botanical gardens at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, located only 2 miles from the cabin.
The owners of the cabin live on the adjacent property so any questions or concerns can be immediately addressed.
Other things to note
Please note that there is no sink in the bathroom so teeth brushing and shaving takes place in the kitchen sink or over the tub.

Winter or summer, the Little River Retreat will help you step away from the world - but still be minutes from Reid State Park, Five Islands Lobster, the Georgetown General Store, and the rugged beauty of Midcoast Maine.
This is our family camp, with our own books, games, and “vibe”. It is not a hotel, and some things may not be “industry standard”. We love the unique charm of this space and place, and many repeat guests do too. We hope you will treasure (and care for it) as we do!
The space
This cozy cabin is great for a winter or summer getaway for a small family. One queen bedroom and two twins will host up to four people. There is a fully equipped kitchen, dining space and living room, with games, books, and toys.
The Little River Retreat is our family’s private camp, and is a comfortable and cozy place to get away from the world. It’s a special place, and we are happy to be able to share it with other people who look forward to enjoying the beautiful coast of Maine. We “tread lightly” on the land, the cabin, and the planet and hope you will too.
The property contains a small private pond with one other camp. It’s perfect for watching wildlife and water lilies (though not good for swimming!).
The cabin is one mile from Reid State Park or Five Islands Lobster, and five minutes to the Georgetown General Store for pizza or provisions. It is 15 minutes to downtown Bath for a larger store, laundry, or other facilities. A car is essential for exploring the area.
Guest access
Private residence with plenty of parking.
Other things to note
This lovely camp gets its washing water from a spring on the property and a shallow well. This is plenty for basic camp needs, but won’t support lots of long showers (especially during very dry summers!). We ask guests to help us be good stewards of the water resources by taking shorter showers and being careful with washing, brushing, and flushing.
The property includes a small private pond which is great for enjoying wildlife, but not for swimming. We do have a canoe you can use with two adult life jackets and a few youth-sized jackets. Children under 10 must wear their life jacket by law, and there must be one life jacket per person in the boat.

The space
The cabin, built by my father in 1985, is hand-made from logs harvested on site. In this tiny home, the loft offers 1 double futon on an elevated frame, and a couch downstairs that opens to a bed. The cabin has a private and quiet 180 degree view from a peninsula overlooking Pleasant Cove. High tide provides refreshing swimming (we have a solar shower, but washing up in the cove is exhilarating) and canoeing (one two-seater is included). At low tide try, clam digging and bird watching.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking utensils you'll need for your visit. Just need to bring your favorite food and ice to put in our cooler. (Hannaford's grocery store is about 7 minutes away).

'Honey Haus' is located in historic Sprucewold in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Sprucewold's original log cabins were built throughout the 1920's by the "Rusticators" - a group of forward thinking city folk, who valued getting away from hustle and bustle. Named for the honey colored tones of wood throughout, Honey Haus is a wonderful place to relax after a day of boating in the harbor or hiking in the woods. We open the calendar for bookings in February - stays are available from June - Sept.
The space
Honey Haus comfortably sleeps five to seven guests in three bedrooms. There are three twin beds total, one lofted full-size bed with a ladder, and one queen-size bed. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed. Bedroom 2 has two twin beds and a lofted full-size bed. Bedroom 3 has a single twin bed.
Honey Haus has everything you need to cook meals and entertain at home. Whether it's hosting an intimate dinner after a long day out on the water, making quick sandwiches to bring on a hike, or heating up your yummy leftovers from last night's restaurant meal, we've got you covered. Dishes for 12, glassware, mugs, cast iron, storage, no problem. There is an electric range, stove and microwave oven for your use, as well as a full size refrigerator.
Guest access
Guests can access the entire cabin.
Other things to note
There is parking available for 2-3 cars in the driveway. The driveway is located at the very bottom of the road to 103 Crest, directly beside the cabin. Please do not park on the wooden platform just before the driveway (this is our neighbor's parking area).
At the bottom of our hill on Lobster Cove Rd. is Barrett’s Park, a wonderful spot featuring beautiful bayfront views. At this park, there are two rocky beaches that overlook Linekin Bay. We think Barrett’s Park is the perfect place to swim or enjoy a picnic! This is a rocky beach, like most in the area, so bring your swim shoes :)
For clarity, Sprucewold's small private beach is not accessible to renters at this time.

*WATER VIEWS - NOT WATER FRONT*
Cottage on the Coast is in the heart of historic Sprucewold, an almost exclusively log cabin neighborhood. This year-round cottage offers access to a gorgeous (private/community) sand beach that's a 10 minute walk away, 20 minute walk to town and all the amenities you'll need for a small family. This cabin is privately owned and is a REAL vacation home - not a cheap investment property.
The space
This quaint log cabin has beautiful garden in the front and small yard in the back, with a great ocean-facing deck and screened-in porch with lovely views of the water. It's a 10 minute walk to a private, neighborhood sand beach with clear water and protected from the ocean waves and currents (safe for children). There's outdoor spigots that you can use to wash the sand off your feet, and a hammock and loveseat in the yard to read a book or just relax in.
Inside, there's a kitchen big enough to accommodate any cooking needs with a beautiful wooden table for family dining. The living room is set up for enjoying the views, but if you'd like to watch a movie at night there's a medium-sized 4K television with outstanding bookshelf speakers. The speakers are top of the line, and once you connect your phone or laptop to the wi-fi you can play music through them on most platforms (Spotify, etc). Netflix, HBO and Amazon Prime are all included in the rental, so you won't have to enter any login information.
The bunk room is set up to sleep as many people as possible, with a twin bed, bunk beds and a small twin trundle bed underneath. The master bedroom is upstairs, which has a queen sized bed and its own private bathroom, with a skylight in both rooms, which provides plenty of light throughout the day.
Sprucewold is primarily a seasonal neighborhood, and is mostly empty from November through April. This cabin is unique, in that it has it's own well for water (vs the seasonal town water supply) and it's fully winterized. It also has a backup generator that automatically turns on in the case of a power outage, which happens occasionally in the winter.
Other things to know:
-security camera is outside
-living space is approximately 1,500 square feet
Guest access
Sprucewold is a very walk-friendly neighborhood, with plenty of great cabins, ocean views and wildlife to see.
The rental includes two parking spots directly in front of the detached garage. This property is limited to two cars per stay - so please don't park on the street or in the neighbor's spaces.
Other things to note
This cabin is perfect for couples, families or small groups of friends. You're encouraged to have guests over, but I ask that you limit any gathering to 12 people total, which includes the guests in your booking. And during the warmer months when the neighborhood is bustling, there's a strict noise ordinance after 9pm - stay up as late as you want, but please respect the early-risers.
Cozy and *very* rustic 1930s family cottage overlooking Pemaquid Harbor. Enjoy gorgeous views of the working harbor during the day and gather around the fireplace at night. Short drive to town for shops and restaurants, as well as historic sites, beaches, and hiking. It's not winterized, so the water is off and the cottage is closed between October and late May. A small tidal beach is a 5 minute walk away, and it's a 4 minute walk to the shared dock.
The space
This is an older, rustic wood cabin with a large common room with fireplace, couches, and a daybed. The kitchen has a dining table that fits 8 and has a large bay window out to the harbor. The porch is the perfect place to relax, read, and have a sunset happy hour. It's an easy drive to TONS of restaurants, towns, outdoor activities, etc.

Come stay at our air conditioned, peaceful, newly renovated cabin, located on the outskirts of Brunswick, close to Harpswell !
