This is a cozy rustic guest cottage with a view of the marsh and fall colors (and sunsets). Our main house is on the property, but privacy is assured.

It has a loft bedroom with a queen-sized bed and an adjacent full bath (shower, no tub). To reach the loft is a steep staircase (not a ladder).

Downstairs, the living-dining area has a dining table and a sitting area with a comfy daybed for reading and napping. The generous screened porch has lovely views of the tidal salt marsh, forest, and sunsets. Nature’s chorus forms the soundtrack—we have an array of non-human neighbors.

The kitchen has a refrigerator, oven, range, coffee maker, and microwave. It also has glassware, dishes, silverware, basic pots, pans, and cooking implements. No dishwasher.
There is Broadband Wifi, AC window units upstairs & down (seasonal availability, summer only), and electric heat.

We are not far off the main road (Route 127), and you can hear occasional traffic if the windows are open, but it’s rare to hear cars or trucks at night. You are more likely to be awakened by owls or coyotes or perhaps the early morning calls of geese, crows, and other birds.

Just minutes from historic downtown Bath shops and restaurants, the Maine Maritime Museum, Maine’s First Ship, and the Saturday Farmer’s Market. It is a short drive to Reid State Park (beach walks) and a dozen nature trails. Walking distance to Sewall Pond (freshwater swimming).

It's under an hour from Portland or Rockland. Fifteen minutes to Brunswick and Bowdoin College. Twenty minutes to Reds Eats. And less than 3 hours from Acadia National Park.

This sweet 3-season, 2-bedroom tidal waterfront cottage is perfect for hours of relaxing or as a base for excursions to the many attractions in Mid-Coast Maine. The living room boasts large windows, offering a lovely view of the tidal cove. A spiral staircase leads to the second-floor bedroom with a queen bed. This room features a high ceiling and windows on all sides, making it bright and airy. The main-floor bedroom has 2 twin beds. Between this bedroom and the living room are the bathroom with shower, and a cozy reading nook. On one side, there is a stone patio with table/chairs/umbrella, on the other a small deck with gas grill. The eat-in kitchen (renovated 2020) is well equipped and has its own view of the cove.

Walk steps to swim, watch the tides, or see resident osprey and occasional bald eagles. Explore the cove and Winnegance Bay by kayak (available from owner for extra fee & signed waiver).

On the western shore of a private peninsula, this one bedroom cottage is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax. Surrounded by conservation land, the area abounds with wildlife.

There is a hiking trail along water's edge and also kayaks or canoes for rent to explore the waterways.

The cottage has the warmth of wood floors, wood beamed ceilings and comfortable furnishings to add to your relaxation. The screened in porch makes a great place to watch the sun setting over the water.

There is a queen size bed in the bedroom. The futon in the living room converts to a bed for additional sleeping accommodations.

For those who desire to stay 'plugged in' we offer basic television channels and wifi.

The kitchen is complete with full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster and coffee pot not to mention all the pots, pans, dishes and utensils you will need. If you enjoy to BBQ there is a grill just outside the front door. For lobster lovers we have a large pot available for you to cook them fresh in your cottage.

A fully equipped kitchen to have lobster dinner one night and steaks on the grill the next is at your fingertips. But if going out for dinner is your preference there are some spectacular ocean side restaurants just a short ride away. Enjoy walking the 7 miles of pristine sandy beach, riding the waves, watching the sailboats dance across the water , fly a kite at the beach or spot a seal off one of the islands. There is so much to enjoy right from the view of this cottage you'll never want to leave. But if shopping and sight seeing is of interest there is much to do in surrounding area. As of 2020 we no longer supply linens or towels. With current sanitizing and cleaning protocols we have decided it is in the best interest of all guests to bring their own linens and towels. We do have a washer and dryer in cottage ( detergent supplied). However if this is a logistical issue (airplane travel) please let me know and we can arrange professional linen service at an additional cost.

This charming beachfront cottage is one of 15 at Driftwood....formerly one of the beloved cottages that were known as Ocean View Campground. My cottage is perpendicular to the beach and four cottages down the line. You can see and hear the ocean from every window. In the surrounding area you can also enjoy Fox Island at low tide, Fort Popham and hiking trails at Morse Mountain. Boating and fishing and other recreational and cultural opportunities at the nearby towns of Bath and Brunswick.

Come relish in the serene location of this adorable cottage! Located on a saltwater peninsula directly on the New Meadows River in West Bath, Rosedale enjoys saltwater recreation on both sides of the peninsula.

Once there you will immediately be taken away by the smell of the salty sea air. There is, along with the beautifully landscaped gardens, a patio with outdoor furniture, a charcoal grill, a picnic table to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner on and a firepit sit around and cook smores .
Upon entering the cottage you will notice the homes newly remodeled kitchen. Off of the kitchen is the brand-new bathroom with a stand-up shower. Beyond the kitchen is the living room which is full of windows with views of the river. This room is cozy and set up perfectly for enjoying a book or puzzle. Off of the living room are the two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with a full size bed. Continuing through the living room is a riverfront sunporch directly over the water. The sun porch has a day bed that sleeps one. The cottage is equipped with WIFI, local TV, and internet-capable programming.

With Rosedale's pier and brand new expansive deep water dock with swim ladder, this place is the perfect location for enjoying all water activities such as swimming, kayaking, fishing and boating. While some parts of the New Meadows River may have no water at certain times due to the tides, you can always enjoy deep water access here. With the New Meadows Marina less than a mile down the road it is so easy to launch your own boat there or even rent one through them.

Beyond the cottage, there is a wide variety of restaurants in scenic Bath and Brunswick to enjoy the local cuisine. Brunswick features Bowdoin College, the Maine State Summer Theater, a Summer Music Festival, a farmer's market, fine dining and convenient shopping. We are a short drive to Popham and Pemaquid beaches, lakes, mountains, and state and national parks.

The guest house features a large ocean-front living/dining area overlooking a Japanese garden and a small efficient kitchen on the first floor. Upstairs are two large ocean-front bedrooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, the second bedroom a double.

Enjoy our herb and perennial gardens and panoramic ocean views, or simply enjoy a nap in a hammock. Access to Middle Bay with kayaking, canoeing and swimming are at your doorstep, with easy access from our dock. The Pennellville area offers a beautiful bicycling and walking venue among historic farms and vistas.

We are also open to home exchanges (which do not need to be simultaneous), especially in Europe and the Caribbean. Our three bedroom house on the same property, featuring ocean views from every room may also be available. The views from inside the cottage and from the beautifully landscaped yard and dock outside are nothing less than spectacular. Inside the king bed was very comfortable would have liked some draws to put clothes in bedroom. Small smart TV , so remember to bring your Netflix, Hulu, Prime passwords with you. Kitchen was good the owner had left coffee, tea, OJ , milks of all varieties , and tons of bottled water . Deck had nice rocking chairs to sit outside, remember to bring bug spray or get citronella candle. It was very centrally located to Bath and lots of local drives as there were many informational brochures, that were there from the information center in Bath . Take a drive down Arrowsic to Five island lobster, great view and drive also visit Reid state park you will need bug spray. Then to Harpswell drive to Lands End but also walk Giants Stairs and eat at the Dauphin Restaurant beautiful views and the owners check on every table. A nice brewery was Fight Deck brewery Brunswick 15 mins from cabin and Wild Oats Bakery and cafe scratch bakery across the parking area.We will be back as cabin a great price and good location."

The Cottage is a fully furnished 900 sq ft two bedroom with full kitchen, bathroom and living space. The main bedroom features a queen sized bed. Our guest room houses two twin sized beds. The living space is complete with everything from books, puzzles, and board games, to a television with Dish cable and a small movie collection; perfect to relax and unwind and unplug with your loved ones. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with a range, convection oven/microwave and coffee pot to make a delicious breakfast before you go out and explore Maine or to prepare beautiful dinner to end a night of fun. My favorite thing is the fully enclosed screened in porch with electric grill, and rocking chairs just in view of the ocean and warf where you can watch one of the most astonishing sunsets Five Islands has to offer. Perhaps you prefer to step outside where there are two poly-wood jointing Adirondack chairs facing the water perfect for catching some sun and enjoying the scenery or sitting out under the stars.

Outside you will have your own picnic table, lounge chairs and a private gas grill. In addition there is a shared fire pit and hammock

We provide linens & towels at no extra charge. As this is an uninsulated seasonal cabin there is no central heating or air conditioning. We provide fans for the warm weather and portable heaters & blankets for cooler weather. Additionally the property utilizes well water so we do ask guests to be mindful of water use as the area can experience drought conditions in the summer.

The cabin is equipped with wifi but it cannot reliably support streaming.

The cabin can be accessed by electronic keypad (no need for keys). You will be provided a code prior to check-in.

There is one parking spot dedicated to the cabin situated 75 yards from the front door. Please note, parking is not directly in front of the cabin so you will have a short walk up an incline from your car. Please keep this in mind if you have mobility issues.

We’re also pleased to offer a Level 2 EV charger on the property. It’s available on a first-come, first-served basis and shared among guests at the property. A usage fee applies for short sessions (0-5 hrs) and long sessions (5+ hrs or overnight). Just let us know if you plan to charge during your stay and we’ll be happy to provide details.

The cottage has two bedrooms: The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed, dresser, and closet. The second bedroom has two twin-sized beds and a dresser. The cottage is also equipped with a living room sofa that can pull out into a full-sized bed. The eat-in kitchen is on the east side of the cottage. A bathroom, complete with shower, is just off the kitchen. Please bring your own towels and linens for one (1) week stays (camp rental). Bedding, pillows, comforter. and bed spreads are provided.

The Laughing Gull Cottage was one of the original oceanfront cottages on Pemaquid Trail—a paved yet private lane along the ocean for walking, biking, and jogging! In March of 2020 the cottage was moved across the street (and a bit to the north) to a one-and-a-half acre lot about 500 feet from the coastline. First and foremost, the new location offers an abundance of privacy and wildlife. Although still a Pemaquid Trail address, the long and winding drive takes you well off the hubbub of “The Trail,” but still allows for broad distant views of the ocean from the farmer’s porch, kitchen, and one of the bedrooms. There is access to the ocean and beaches within walking distance of the cottage. The setting is picturesque, open and sunny and surrounded by wildflowers and the Maine woods. In the summer months, the tiny village of New Harbor (minutes away by car or bike) is bustling. It has a general store, post office, family run grocer, restaurants, a gas station, bank, gift shops, ice-cream shop, art galleries, a bakery, fisherman’s warfs and Hardy Boat cruises. The historic Pemaquid Point Light House (a short trip down the peninsula) and Pemaquid Beach (at the beginning of Pemaquid Trail and one of Maine’s prettiest beaches) are perhaps the most visited destinations in the area. Many of the reviews posted are from when the Laughing Gull Cottage was located directly along the ocean.

My home is an open, sunny, small house on it's own pond. It has one bedroom with plenty of light and glass. It nearly sits on a private spring fed pond which is perfect for swimming. Surrounded by gardens, nature and forest. The entirety private and quiet. The sounds of birds and lapping water to enjoy.

It has a rustic lux feel, comfortable and clean with a FULL kitchen and FULL bath plus a large sleeping loft. Located in a wonderfully wooded area and you may experience a forest critter - deer, racoon, porcupine, fox, ants, ticks etc all outside hopefully : ) Bring bug spray and use caution at night, especially with pets off leash. The stairs to the loft are STEEP and open (see photos). Children must be able to negotiate stairs on their own. We have a safety gate at the top. After living a diplomatic life and living/traveling around the word staying in many accommodations we want to provide things we have enjoyed. Comfortable beds, clean, rustic... The internet speed is fast and reliable and makes for easy work. You are welcome to wonder our entire property and lounge on the deck. The view is amazing and the garden is full of flowers. The Sheepscot River has a 12ft tide and it's fascinating to watch the shoreline change. There is no beach at the water front, it is very wooded, grassy and rocky. So beautiful to walk down the old train tracks to the 100+yo trestle bridge which has a Great Blue Heron rookery and nesting osprey. If your dog goes for a swim (ours always do) we have a warm outdoor shower and dog towels - just ask.

PLEASE always drive very slowly around the old house at the beginning of our driveway : )
It can't hurt to say this again. Heated by a wood stove! We have firewood for you to use for heating purposes. You can bring your own firebricks if you like. Please don't start a fire and then leave... If you fur baby is a barker please take it with you during the day.

Freshly renovated inside and out, the cottage is your private Maine camp. Located on an acre and a half of wooded grounds, and surrounded by forest, the cottage feels secluded, but it’s only a mile to the restaurants, shops, and waterfront attractions of bustling Boothbay Harbor. With hiking trails in the Pine Tree Preserve that adjoins the property and the Lobster Cove Meadow Preserve a five minute walk up the road, you can also explore nature and enjoy the solitude of the woods.

The space
Bright and airy with high ceilings, the cottage has an open concept living room, with a ceiling fan, queen sized sofa bed, Roku TV, and DVD player, and fully equipped kitchen stocked with coffee, tea, and the makings for a continental breakfast. There is a snug bedroom with a queen sized bed and a spacious bathroom with a claw foot soaking tub. Please note that there is only a tub and not a standing hands free shower. Both the bedroom and bathroom have skylights, so you can enjoy a view of the stars and the trees from the tub or the bed. You can enjoy your meals at the breakfast nook in the kitchen or on the spacious screened porch. The cottage is comfortable year round thanks to brand new insulation that keeps it cool in summer and warm in winter with the assistance of a propane “wood stove.” The cottage is detached from the main house with a private entrance and parking for one or two vehicles.

Wear comfortable foot gear. and enjoy lunch or dinner at Shaw's Restaurant on the pier at New Harbor when you return back to shore. On Monhegan Island bring a picnic, back pack in closet for hikers, Hike to cliffs on far side of Island. Artist galleries open by chance in village. Lighthouse Museum interesting and worth poking around to see local lore of the sea. You can buy pizza/drink on Island. In May/September Bird Migration Is TOPS! Bring Binoculars,trail guides provided by Hardy Boat, wear good walking shoes paths only no paved roads....a throw back in time....On a trip last summer one renter saw whales, porpoises, seals, variety of birds and was especially delighted with trip.

Fort William Henry: Fabulous must see spot....for the historian in you of colonial life in Northern New England.Early settlement provided Cod for Europeans in 1600's made this an important British claim. Museum is rich with artifacts and short 15 minute movie of Pemaquid settlement. Fort sports a self guided tour of settlement gives an idea of how daily life was conducted. Monday night Historical Lectures Series, Special events and lantern tours. Pirate Dixie Bull once raided the settlement, hurricane sunk the Angel Gabriel, Native Americans/French traded and fought with British.

Maine TV crews had been filming Maine Archeologist at dig this past summer Archeologists still working at the dig.
Picnic basket, blanket and a bottle of wine included at cottage. Handicap accessible with picnic benches and panoramic view of Pemaquid Harbor. Order a lunch from Riley's Market at the Deli section or from The Cupboard Restaurant on the Huddle Road.

Pemaquid Beach: Love this cresent shaped beach with fine views of John's Bay and Islands. Relax, walk and collect shells....Fine white sand, excellent for making sand castles or burying your feet. Snack bar is a must. French fries and a cold drink make it heaven. Fall asleep under an umbrella, listening to the waves. Feeling adventurous? Rent a boogie board and ride the waves if the surf is up. Beach-comb for treasures. Hot showers till 5. Special concerts, fireworks, yoga in the mornings . Park is open till sunset. Minimum fee to enter. Plenty of parking beach lovers delight!

Built in 1999, this is a two-floor Maine Cottage. First floor is handicapped equipped. The cottage is on a private, dead end road. Separate building with front and rear private entrances. Bath has separate, large shower and laundry room. Large bedroom with seating is on the first floor. Fully-equipped kitchenette; additional sleeping are upstairs.
Private outdoor area is yours. Great outdoor view of Linekin Bay.

Spruce Tops is a single family cottage, situated near the mouth of New Harbor. You can hear the ocean waves and the bell buoy. Enjoy your coffee on the screened in porch watching the boats coming and going. A well equipped kitchen has an island eating area, the comfy living room has a ceiling fan, as does the master bedroom, with a queen bed and french doors to the fully screened in porch. Bathroom equipped with shower. Owners located across street if needed.

The second bedroom features a comfy queen bed. A recently renovated second bath with a tub/shower combination is located on the first floor.

OUTDOOR AREAS

Spend breezy afternoons on the multi-level deck; fire up the grill and share a meal at the six-seat patio table with a view of the water, or sip morning coffee at a bistro table overlooking the garden. The deck also affords a view of the Seguin Island Lighthouse.

EXTRA AMENITIES

The property offers kid-friendly extras including toys, books, games, and a DVD player. A children's playground is within walking distance at Southport School. Kayaks are available for rent at nearby Gray's Campground.

New heat pump system was installed Sept. 2042 offering heat and cooling for the entire house.

The home has radiant heating throughout, plus a gas fire in the living room, to ensure your comfort no matter what the weather. Shelves lined with books to share and games to play will keep you busy even on those rare rainy days. A laundry room is located off the garage.

Our river view Casita is a newly renovated cottage perfectly located for all your Mid-Coast Maine adventures! This tranquil 2-bedroom 1-bathroom cottage is just across the street from the Sheepscot River - with water/dock access just steps away. The house offers a well equipped kitchen, comfortable living space, grill, and back deck for dining al fresco. But if you feel like trying local cuisine, there’s easy access to numerous restaurants just a short drive away!

The space
The cottage is located on a hill with views of the Sheepscot river. Parking is adjacent to the cottage (no hill climbing required) although guests will need to climb 3 steps on the front porch to access the house.

The living room has a large sofa, lounge chair, TV, board games, extra blankets and propane stove for heat.


The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, baking sheet, toaster/oven, K-cup coffee maker, French press, paper towels, dish soap and limited spices and olive oil. There is also a small grill on the front porch.

Each bedroom offers a full bed and dresser.
