Polly’s Place is one of 2 houses that share a 5 acre private property located back off the road with a mixture of trees and lawn. This cottage was built by our Aunt Polly and Uncle Hans. We lived in it for years while building our forever home in the back of the property. It’s quiet here with a peacefulness you feel being close to nature.

Our cottage has been lovingly & lightly upgraded & is just a delightful place! Very clean, & bright. It's impossible not to have absolutely the most relaxing time here. A sweet spot & a short walk to the beach. A place to unwind, to watch the kids toddling on their bikes to tennis lessons at the nearby Community House or families parading by to the beach.

This exceptionally charming cottage has been in the family for over 100 Years. We have recently completed an extensive renovation which preserves the character and historic architecture with the comfort of modern conveniences. The location with direct views of Goat Island Light is beyond compare. Sit on the expansive wrap-around porch and watch the tide come in until the ocean becomes your front yard. At low tide, walk the sand flats to Stage Harbor or explore the nearby conservation trust islands. Walking distance to restaurants, galleries, and markets in Cape Porpoise Village. The home is fully equipped with the exception of a furnace which was minor issue as we had unseasonably cool weather. The fireplace did get plenty of use which added to our warmth and the ambiance!!! This small but well-designed modern cottage is family-owned and nestled on 3 acres of private marshland with a short 7 minute walk to the white sands, tide pools and islands of Goose Rocks Beach ("GRB"). An ideal indoor/outdoor retreat with both seclusion and easy walking access to the local general store for morning coffee or picnic supplies, and The Tides Beach Club for craft cocktails and fine dining, and the GRB Community Center with day and tennis camps during the summer (and movie nights on Wednesdays). Goose Rocks Dairy - with inarguably the best homemade ice cream in all of New England - is a short 2 minute drive away, and the over-water restaurants of charming Cape Porpoise just a couple of miles beyond that. The downstairs hosts the master bedroom with a queen bed and glass sliding doors to the covered porch overlooking the lush marsh, a small farmhouse kitchen, bathroom with modern shower, and a living and dining room with a 20' high ceiling and 2 wall-sized windows with stunning mile-long views of the marsh and its wildlife (including loons, geese, ducks, chipmunks and even a rare moose!). Bed linens, blankets, pillows, bath and beach towels are included. Waxed hardwood floors, whitewashed shiplap interior siding and poured concrete kitchen countertops complete the calming Scandinavian design. Air conditioning and heating make the cottage the ideal retreat during all seasons.

Access the kids' loft via a sliding library ladder to discover 3 built-in twin beds, 4 windows looking out to the marsh and plenty of reading and play space (not suitable for children under 5). The cottage is well-stocked with family games, puzzles, books and DVD's. A nice-sized television, cable programming and Wi-Fi keep you entertained and connected.

The property features a covered porch, a large deck overlooking the marsh and a second deck on the marsh itself, complete with Adirondack chairs and fire pit, perfect for reading, sunning and s'mores. Kayaks can be launched from the marsh deck for a serene and easy trip to the beach and back. The large round swing over the marsh is ideal for lazy afternoons.

- "The house is in a great location and was perfect for our family of three, though there were two extra twin beds in the loft that we didn’t even use so a larger family may enjoy it as well. The view from the back porch is beautiful, especially at sunrise and sunset. The walk to the beach is very easy if you don’t have a lot to haul, and the two beach chairs they have at the house are nice and light. Highly recommend checking out Cape Pier Chowder House and Ultramar which are only a few minutes from the house. I didn’t see a lot about those spots in my research before the trip but they were our favorites! "

The Sandpiper Cottage (renovated 2023) is a detached, private cottage with a queen bed, full bathroom, kitchen, sitting area, articulating TV, Wi-Fi, private patio, and reserved parking adjacent to the cottage. It is perfect for an extended stay and is pet-friendly, allowing one dog or cat (50 pound weight limit) at no fee. With a new mini-split, you can be comfortable in the hottest or coldest of Maine weather. The kitchen has a refrigerator and freezer, range, microwave, toaster, Keurig machine, kitchenware, and utensils. Due to space limitations in the inn's dining room, breakfast is not included when booking the Sandpiper Cottage. However, you will be provided with some bananas, yogurts, K-cups and bottled waters to get your vacation started. The Sandpiper Cottage is available for 3-night stays or longer. Standard check-in (3-6pm) and check-out (11am) times apply. Please check in and out at the main house or coordinate with the innkeeper.

It was quaint and perfect. The Inn has bikes you can borrow to ride down into town, but we opted to walk. This cottage is ideally located. You can walk a few minutes north to a few shops, markets and restaurants, or south and hit downtown Kennebunkport. Beaches, shops and food are minutes away by foot, bike or vehicle. Mike and his parents are hands on. They are there if you need them, or quietly off working around the property when you don't. They offer such a wonderful atmosphere; we will definitely return. Our bright cozy guest cottage in Arundel has a quaint private deck, with a separate firepit area on a .50 acre property lined with tall pines and oaks that back onto grassy fields. This unique place has a style all its own.

It is conveniently located 1 mile from Kennebunk shops, 4 miles from the port and Dock Square, and 5 miles from Gooch’ beach.

Our bright open concept 640 sq. ft. guest cottage in Arundel has two bedrooms.

BEDROOMS:
Bedroom 1- has a full/double bed, large closet, glass side table and plenty of drawer space around the bedframe.

Bedroom 2- has a queen bed, TV, deep closet, side tables and full dresser.

BATHROOM:
There is a full tiled bathroom with a deep spa soaker tub and shower, inclusive. The shower is European style. There is no curtain, but has back tiled wall for the containment of water.

EXTRA AMMENITIES:
Behind the picture of the cute puppy in the bathroom is plenty of storage for toiletries, ( door opens from the left) where you can find other amenities ie: toilet paper, extra towels, first aid kit, beach towels, and spare bath mats.

There are extra bath mats should some water splash the floor. Please watch your step. The tub has protective adhesives and there is an extra non-slip protective tub mat for your safety. Please use whatever you need.

WASHER:
Also located in the opposite bathroom closet, there is a stacked washer. Please use dryer only if necessary.

CLOTHES LINE:
Outside in the backyard, to the right, you will find a line for hanging clothes and for drying wet beach towels with clothes pins available in basket on top of washing machine.

We appreciate your mindfulness of conserving energy, hang drying also gives everything that wonderful fresh air smell.

DECK AND FIRE PIT:
There is a spacious deck with a dining area with 4 chairs, cushions and an outdoor fire pit set back with firewood. *Please douce your fires with the watering can before going in for the night.

KITCHEN:
We offer a well-appointed kitchen with a sharp knives, pots and pans, coffee maker, milk foamer, microwave, fridge, freezer, stove, dishwasher, toaster, cleaning supplies and basic cooking essentials. ie, salt, pepper, oil, coffee, loose leaf tea and sugar.

WELL WATER:
Our property utilizes a well that we both share. It is checked for purity, and is fresh, drinkable, and makes delicious coffee and tea

TV’S:
There are 2 TV’s, 1 in the living room, the other in the 2nd bedroom. Both TV’s come with Hulu, Netflix and Apple TV streaming sites that you can sign into with your own accounts. There is no cable TV at this property. Don’t forget to sign out of your accounts before you check out.

LOCATION:
We are 5 miles from Gooch’s beach. There is a loaner beach pass for Gooch’s, Middle and Mother’s beaches available during your stay, saving you time and money.

PARKING PASS:
Please return the beach parking pass at the end of your stay for the next guest.

We have covered the fire pit, I thank you in advance for not lighting any fires at the cottage.

In the beautiful and quaint village of Cape Porpoise, Kennebunkport, you’ll find our cottage, just two doors down from Nunans Lobster Hut and a 3-minute walk to Cape Porpoise Kitchen and Bradbury’s Market. Built in 1880, and after a complete renovation, we’d love to have you as our guests! We added many windows, to bring the outdoors in. Lots of light! The two added balconies make for a wonderful place to sit and talk or just stare into space. Lots of stars! Air conditioning!

Cottage is in a wonderful gated community which offers 2 heated pools, community center, fire pits, horseshoe pit, bocce court, hiking, and much more! Close to beautiful Maine beaches and within 10 minutes to Kennebunkport.

With one bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, living room, and patio, this is the perfect coastal location for vacations, impromptu getaways, and relaxation. Guests have access to the entire cottage including a patio and yard. You will have entry with a key. The hosts are available to answer any of your questions that arise during your stay. Otherwise, you will have complete privacy.

The cottage is newly renovated with new paint, flooring, bathroom, furnishings, décor, and landscaping. Feel free to use the outdoor patio for relaxing, sipping a drink in the evening, or cooking on the grill. You may also use the storage shed to store your bikes if you choose to bring or rent your own. Two multi-speed bicycles are provided for your use along with a cart to carry your beach items.

The cottage is located in beautiful Cape Porpoise and a short ride from a working lobster dock, nearby light house, lovely art galleries, market, deli, and wonderful restaurants. Make your stay special by preparing your own seafood.

You will remain comfortable with central heat and AC or you can also open the windows and enjoy the cool breezes and fresh salt air.

You will find a notebook to assist you in getting the most out of your stay. This will include recommendations for restaurants, sightseeing, and recreation, including major shopping outlets in Kittery & Freeport Maine. If you are really adventurous, you can take the train from Wells to Boston for the day.

During the summer there is a seven-day minimum stay, with check-in on Saturdays. The Airbnb calendar makes it look like there is availability only on Fridays during the summer. This is not the case. Airbnb's policy is to show the other days as booked because a reservation can only be started on Saturday.

The Marshview Cottage is located in a beautiful, quiet setting in Cape Porpoise, Maine. It is nestled by the marsh where song birds are heard and herons are seen. Private back yard with patio/fire pit, beautiful garden area, dining table and chairs. Local restaurants, a market, church and library are located within walking distance. Beaches, shops and dining in Kennebunkport are within minutes of driving. Full Kitchen. Queen bed, sofa bed and single bed. Linens provided.

The space
The cottage has been recently renovated and reflects the coastal charm of the local seaside community. Has a fully stocked kitchen, bath w/ heated floor and large walk in shower. The sofa in the living room also pulls out into a queen size bed for an additional sleeping space. The outdoor shower is an added bonus after a long day at the beach. Enjoy the outdoor furniture and relax by the marsh bird watching. Outdoor portable Bluetooth speaker, beach towels, kayaks, bikes, beach buggy and even a picnic basket! For the cooler months, enjoy the provided snowshoes (2 adult sets and 1 kid's set) for exploring nearby trails. Everything you’ll need to create a perfect Maine beach stay

Private waterfront cottage with ocean, island and lighthouse views on quiet tidal cove. Located in Cape Porpoise, a small fishing village which is part of Kennebunkport. Fully equipped eat-in kitchen, screened-in porch, both overlooking the cove. Large living room with two twin built-in daybeds and fireplace, cozy master bedroom and bath. Pier and water access for kayak, canoe or boat owners. It is a scenic walk to the local pier, A short drive to the beaches and Kennebunkport center.

We also have a pier and a float on the property which is shared by the cottage renters and the house renters.

On the other side of the pier there is a large grassy area which you may use as well.

Hannaford Supermarket is main grocery store in Kennebunk ( on Rt 1) about 10 minutes away from House.

Bradbury’s Market -There also a small grocery store which is down the street from the cottage on Rt 9 N. center of Cape Porpoise. Very well stocked, great meats and some fish, they make sandwiches to go, they have a great wine selected as well.. more expensive than the regular grocery store but very convenient.

Cape Porpoise Kitchen – our favorite take out place – The best breakfast sandwich and French toast. They also have great lunch sandwiches, salads and dinner options. Coffee, wine, pies to go and other baked goods. Excellent.

Fish & Lobster to buy:

Langsford Fish House, Langsford Rd right near property off of Rt 9. Great place for fresh fish and lobster, corn on the cobb and items that go with fish. They will also cook them for you as well a corn on the cob – call to order. There is a lobster pot (on back porch in cabinet).


Beaches in the Kennebunks. Goose Rocks Beach and Gooch's Beach are about equal distance from the house. Parking is much easier at Gooch's Beach, but Goose Rocks is a beautiful beach as well.. You can get a parking ticket by the day or the week. For Goose Rocks Beach you get them through the police station right near the house on Rt 9. For Gooch's you can pay for parking right at the beach at a kiosk to buy a pass for the day or week or at the chamber of commerce in Kennebunkport.

The space
“MILLION DOLLAR VIEWS”! UNOBSTRUCTED OCEAN FRONT PROPERTY. The Cottage has a prime location on the beautiful Atlantic ocean, close to Kennebunkport Town Square, beaches, and Cape Porpoise, situated on a private cul de sac, with views of the Bush estate from the deck. It is a single family dwelling built in 1977 with lots of large windows and a deck from which to enjoy the ocean view and the incredible sky.
