Polly’s Place is one of 2 houses that share a 5 acre private property located back off the road with a mixture of trees and lawn. This cottage was built by our Aunt Polly and Uncle Hans. We lived in it for years while building our forever home in the back of the property. It’s quiet here with a peacefulness you feel being close to nature.

Our cottage has been lovingly & lightly upgraded & is just a delightful place! Very clean, & bright. It's impossible not to have absolutely the most relaxing time here. A sweet spot & a short walk to the beach. A place to unwind, to watch the kids toddling on their bikes to tennis lessons at the nearby Community House or families parading by to the beach.

ABOUT THE COTTAGE

Easy access with a main floor bedroom and a step in shower, your sunny cottage is on a quiet dead end street and overlooks the woods and features a full-size sleeper sofa in both the open-concept living area and den on the main floor.

Kick back and watch a movie in the living room. The adjacent den has its own Roku-equipped 32” LCD cable TV. Be sure to bring your passwords for streaming services.

Prepare meals in the modern, fully-stocked kitchen including drip coffee maker, and enjoy them at the dining table with seating for four. Three more can pull up a seat at the kitchen bar. Or step onto the forested patio with a dining table for eight and a dual-use gas and charcoal grill. There is also a gas fire pit

Your vacation home has two bedrooms. On the main floor, and easily accessible, the first bedroom has a queen-size bed, 32” Roku-equipped LCD cable TV and a large closet. A full bath with a single vanity and handicap accessible step-in shower is located off the main living area.

Also off of the main living area, you’ll find a closet housing a stacked washer/dryer. For your comfort, a digital thermostat is located on both the main and second floors.

Upstairs you’ll find the master bedroom, which features a queen-size bed, large closet and 32” Roku-equipped LCD cable TV. Across the hall, the master bath has a walk-in shower.

This exceptionally charming cottage has been in the family for over 100 Years. We have recently completed an extensive renovation which preserves the character and historic architecture with the comfort of modern conveniences. The location with direct views of Goat Island Light is beyond compare. Sit on the expansive wrap-around porch and watch the tide come in until the ocean becomes your front yard. At low tide, walk the sand flats to Stage Harbor or explore the nearby conservation trust islands. Walking distance to restaurants, galleries, and markets in Cape Porpoise Village. A short 5-minute drive to Kennebunkport.

- "This is a well loved family summer home. It is set on an inlet along the coast of Maine, perfect for kayaking and relaxing. The home is fully equipped with the exception of a furnace which was minor issue as we had unseasonably cool weather. The fireplace did get plenty of use which added to our warmth and the ambiance!!!
