Quaint New England at its best! Experience ocean-front, cottage living in a historic, two-story architect-restored barn. It includes modern amenities while featuring a high ceiling of original barn board, as wide as 22 inches, pine-board flooring and either tongue-in-groove or barn-board paneling.

A front door foyer opens to stairs to the second story, to a rear bedroom with twin beds, and to a short hall that leads to a front bedroom with a double bed. A small study is off the front bedroom. Other first-floor rooms include the laundry and shower/toilet.

The second story is a single large room. An expanse of windows in the kitchen/dining areas provides a sweeping view of the ocean. Large windows at the rear of the living room offer unparalleled, panoramic views of a Mousam River tidal estuary and of trees and marshes in the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge. A door opens to a deck with chairs for leisurely observing wildlife and enjoying sunsets.

A stone's throw from Mother's beach and about a 2 mile walk from Mornings in Paris. The place was very clean and thoughtfully furnished. I particularly loved that all of the dishes were a matched set and there was a whole set of brand new food storage containers, as well, not someone's leftover haphazard dishes, glasses and mugs. The place itself was a little small for the 5 of us, and would be small if you are planning on spending most of your time in the house but we loved it and hope to return next year."

- "Lovely cottage. Modern, immaculate and bright. Community in ground pool and grills. Close to so many attractions." - "This cabin was perfect. Beach access road was across the street. If you arrive earlier in the day, there’s parking at the nearly private beach across the street but it’s only about 1/3 of a mile walk if the handful of parking sites is full at that beach. It even has a porta potty at that beach. Driving to drake island beach was easy and had plenty of parking close if you’d rather be on a more crowded beach. Beds were comfortable, good kitchen and necessary supplies, and a nice bathroom and shower. The pool was nice along with cornhole game area and firepit which had firewood (just bring a fire starter log or fatwood!) We would definitely stay here again."

- "Just wanted to get away with our Dog and this place was perfect! Short Walk to beach and trails! Also recommend the Bitter End restaurant that is also Dog friendly!!" - "Great location... we have a tradition of gathering wood and having a fire in the fireplace, while eating a meal. This year, we had brunch from Biddeford's Palace Diner. Maine Diner only a short drive away, same for Laudholm/Wells Estuary. Tons of Lobster pounds around. Rooms were comfortable and clean, and the fridge is roomy for all our leftovers. Plenty of shopping and flea markets in the area, antiques too. Also, sailing is available from the harbor in Kennebunk, which we have done in the past. Great place to stay, especially close to Parsons beach and Rachel Carson Preserve."
