In the living room, unwind with our electric fireplace, a selection of vinyl records on our turntable or bring your own to enjoy while taking in the stunning water views from the balcony. Our smart TV allows you to stream your favorite shows via Netflix or your preferred apps (note: cable is not available). We also have some books and board games available as well.

**Fully Equipped Kitchen:**
Cook up a meal in our small but equipped kitchen, which features everything you need to prepare meals. Enjoy a warm cup of tea with our kettle, or start your day right with our Keurig coffee machine, Nespresso original machine and a traditional pot option while you enjoy the beautiful water views.

**Accessibility Note:**
Please be aware that our cottage features multiple sets of stairs leading to the outdoor amenities. It may not be suitable for guests with mobility challenges or small children, as safety gates are not provided either.

**Parking Information:**
Parking is limited to two vehicles, so please plan accordingly. Larger vehicles such as RVs cannot be accommodated. In the winter months with the snow, it will be hard to accommodate even 2 cars.

**Guest Access:**
Guests will have access to the main floor of the cottage and the entire outdoor area. The basement is unfinished and not available for guest use. While I won't be on-site during your stay, I'm just a message away via the app or my cell phone for any assistance you may need.

The Cottage at Granite House 1880. Our cottage is a few minutes drive to the newly rejuvenated Concord Downtown Main Street. Easy access to I-93 and I-89 and State Route 101. Centrally located - in about an hour drive you can be in Boston, NH/Maine Sea Coast, NH White Mountains, VT border.

The Cottage is attached to our 1880 New England Farm home.

If you enjoy skiing, we are about an hour from some of NH's best ski areas. We are also within an hour drive of Boston, the Maine/NH Seacoast and Vermont border. This makes the Cottage a great place if you are planning to explore all that NH has to offer.

There are two cozy bedrooms on the 2nd floor along with a full bathroom with tub/shower and full-size washer and dryer half way upstairs.

Our cottage 'The Paddy Shack' is available for weekly summer and off season rental. Our lakeview,beach access home features open concept living ,sleeping six in three bedrooms. The home is located in The Kenoza area on the Deerfield side of Northwood Lake. There is a large sandy,child safe beach,private dock space and boat launch. Kayaks,canoe,Paddleboard and floats for your use and enjoyment. The home has a deck overlooking the lake and a farmers porch . Plenty of parking for your cars and boat trailer. Spacious yard and fire pit. Northwood is a great family lake good for boating, water sports and fishing.

Reminds me of a traditional New Hampshire/Maine lake house or larger cottage. Back yard right on the lake was extremely well kept and peaceful. Only suggestion I’d really have is although the large windows outlooking the water is an amazing view. It would’ve been nice to have some curtains or drapes on the windows. We may take a deposit and drivers licenses depending on the size of the group. $150-250.

Use of all features, including but not limited to the use of ladders, grounds, lofts and appliances are done at the guests sole risk. Guests understand that they are fully responsible for use of all features and owners shall not be liable to guest for any claims related to illnesses, demands, injuries, damages, or actions arising out of or in connection with the misuse of facilities, natural events/disasters or general accidents on facility grounds. Guests choosing to use the fire pit agree to do so safely and in accordance with house rules. Guests understand owners are not to be held responsible for damaged or lost personal property. Guest hereby holds owners harmless from any/all claims brought against them. Guest understands that by booking a reservation they are effectively agreeing to the terms of this Waiver and Release of Liability.

No smoking allowed. No functions or parties. There is also ring door bells that were put at both doors for security measures. Seasonal Cottage so there is no heat.

Bright and cheerful waterfront. Cozy and romantic. The water is literally 15' from the front of the house with 120' of frontage. We provide 2 kayaks for your use at no additional cost & DIY breakfast is included! There are restaurants, bakeries and shops nearby if you want to explore but this is primarily a place to relax, unplug, enjoy nature.

There is a cozy living room with electric fireplace. The bathroom has a jacuzzi tub for two. There is a fire pit outside with adirondak chairs to sit under the stars. All of these are sure to make a romantic getaway even better!

The fabulous former owner decorated the place with a very sweet shabby chic vibe and it's full of love. It is super comfortable and very romantic. There are beautiful views of the water from almost every window in the house and there is no one across the water from you so it's very private. There are two bedrooms and sleeps 4 comfortably.

You will have the whole house, balcony, yard, fire pit and dock to yourselves.

Important items to note:
Because this home is in a rural setting there are bugs and wildlife around. We do our very best to keep the bugs out of the home but you may see lady bugs in some areas especially near windows. They are harmless but do like to be warm. There may occasionally be a spider or two and as much as we vacuum the webs, they are very quick to make new ones (especially on the deck)! You may see wildlife on the property too. It's best to keep away and please do not feed them.

If there is anything that you need that you don't see, do not hesitate to reach out. I'd love to do whatever I can to make sure stay even better!

Steps away from one of the top clearest lakes in NH. Sandy shore is the dream vacation whether you’re looking to kick back and relax, do water sports, swim, boat, kayak with the loons, ice skate, cross country ski, snowmobile, fish or view the fall foliage.
Bring your own boat and park it at the private dock or use our 2 person kayak equipped with oars and life jackets.

The top floor has a queen bed, loveseat, walk-in closet and great views of the sunrise, overlooking the head of the lake. There is an adjustable standing or sitting desk which provides an excellent spot to overlook the lake while getting work done!

The middle floor consists of the fully equipped custom kitchen and dining area including a table with a couch and four stools, a twin day bed and full bathroom.

The bottom floor has a pull out double bed, flat screen TV and free use of the washer and dryer. A wooden sliding door separates this room from the entrance of the house.

The private dock is a 50' walk from the house. Look both ways when crossing the scenic road which provides access to the houses on the North end of the lake. The house comes equipped with a two person kayak, life jackets and paddles. If you plan to bring your own boat, The public boat ramp is less than a quarter mile before the house. Please Inquire if you are looking for boat rental options.

You can BBQ on the porch overlooking the lake or have a bonfire in the pit down below.

I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the other guests in neighboring cabins. Nancy was accessible and made it a point to come by to introduce herself, made great dinner reservations. Highly recommend. Also, if you stay here, you must go see Bob at the Northwood Diner. Best breakfast in town only 3 minutes up the road."

Mindful Water Use – Our cottage is an older home with lakeside plumbing, so to keep everything running smoothly, we kindly ask guests to flush only when necessary. Absolutely no female sanitary products should be flushed.

Cleaning & Linens – A cleaning fee covers the property turnover after your stay. If you're staying longer than a week and would like fresh linens, let us know in advance, and we’ll be happy to arrange it for you (additional charge applies).

Parking – Our crushed stone driveway accommodates up to two cars. To preserve the space and maintain easy access, please avoid pulling all the way forward when parking. Thank you!

Grill & Propane
A grill and propane tank are provided for outdoor cooking. If the propane runs out during your stay, guests are responsible for refilling it. Shaw’s Supermarket, just a few miles away, offers convenient propane swaps.

For your convenience, a grill is available for use. We kindly ask that you respect other guests by keeping the grill cleaned after use. While we provide the grill, it may not always be cleaned between uses, and we do not hold our cleaner responsible for its condition. If needed, please give the grill a quick scrub before use. Come and enjoy a relaxing stay at our peaceful cottage on Daniels Lake. The small, recently-renovated home is in a rural setting but close to restaurants, shopping, parks, ski slopes, golf courses, lakes and quaint New England villages. The large deck has a gorgeous view of the lake. Four kayaks, two canoes, standup paddle board and pedal boat are available to use on the lake which is known for its good fishing. Two bedrooms, dining room and living room overlook the lake and woods.

The space
The dining room has seating for six plus a small two-chair area by the fireplace. The kitchen is small but well-equipped with a refrigerator/ice maker, electric range, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, pots, pans, silverware, dishes, glasses, bowls, mugs, kitchen towels, and storage space for the food you bring. There is no automatic dishwasher so consider using the provided paper plates to spend less time cleaning up.

The full bathroom has a tub & shower plus washer & dryer. Bath and hand towels are provided (but please bring your own beach towels). A small bathroom is located in the unfinished basement. Please note: The steep stairs to the basement, low ceiling and cramped half-bath may not be comfortable for some guests.

The living room is furnished with a leather sofa, chairs and ottoman. A large-screen, smart TV can stream your video services (high speed internet provided) or play discs. The two lakeside bedrooms have a queen-size bed, dresser, closet and desk. The third bedroom is small but furnished with a dresser, closet, and bunk bed (full-size below and twin above).

Guest access
There is walkout access to the backyard and lake from the basement. The life jackets are hung up in the basement and there is a small bathroom. Please note: The steep stairs to the basement, low ceiling and cramped bathroom may not be comfortable for some guests. The boats are stored under the deck or by the dock.

The large deck has a half-flight of steps down to steps leading to the driveway, grill, fire pit and lakefront. There is also a spiral staircase down to the lakefront from the deck. Parents are advised to help their young children know how to safely use this staircase and not use it to play upon. There are lockable gates on the deck.

Other things to note
There are roosters in the neighborhood which crow during the day. The indoor fireplace and outside fire pit may be used with firewood from an outside rack.

Nearby cities are Goffstown (5 miles), Manchester (14 miles), Concord (20 miles) and Nashua (30 miles). The Manchester Airport is 18 miles away. Boston Logan International is 67 miles away. Our "Happy Place" feels far, but is close to everything! Tucked in the woods in a small lake community, our tiny cottage is bright and cozy. Our fully appointed cottage has everything you need to be comfortable; heat, A/C, cotton linens, fluffy towels, BBQ, fire pit... even an outside shower. There's a hammock for naps, kayaks for paddling, beach chairs in the shed and a short walk leads to your spot in the sand and cool water.

The space
Plenty of windows let in the light, vaulted ceilings give an open feel and the decor is bright, cheery and casual. Enjoy the morning visits from bright yellow finches and relax by a nightly fire among the fireflies. Fall asleep to the sound of the loons and the owls... and the occasional turkey!

***NOTE: We love to share our “Happy Place” with people who appreciate it. It is a tiny oasis; cute, cozy and comfortable. It’s a quiet escape from the real world. When you stay, the entire place is yours to enjoy. However, we have certain rules on which we are not flexible. We hate that we have to be very upfront on these rules, but past guests have tested the limits of hospitality and truthfulness. As such, it has become necessary to be very clear on the “deal breakers”.

The cottage, property and beach have a maximum capacity of FOUR PEOPLE. Whether sleeping overnight or “just dropping by”, there are to be no more than four people at the cottage, on the property or at the beach. If we find you have more than four people, even if just for a short visit, we charge a hefty $100 per person, per day resort fee. We understand this charge is very high. This fee is excessive by design as to discourage guests from entertaining. If you are looking to invite friends, this is really not the cottage for you.

The cottage has a single parking space for one car. We can arrange for the parking of a second car with notice. There can be no more than two cars as there is no space for additional parking.

We love animals. Our daughter is a veterinarian and we have a crazy, lovable chocolate lab... but we have a strict no pet policy. While we understand you love your pets like family, as we do... others do not. Some are allergic and others don't want to sit or sleep where animals have been. It is impossible to remove all signs of a dog or cat between guests. As cleanliness is very important to us, we do not allow any pets. Sorry.

There is a fire pit in the yard for your use. Wood and kindling can be purchased at Shaw’s in town, or Howie Glynn’s convenience store just down the road. There is NO SMOKING allowed in the house and the fire pit is not an ashtray. Please extinguish your butts and put them in the outside trash.

SMOKING: There is NO SMOKING inside the cottage. If you smoke inside, there will be a $350 charge for a ServePro steam cleaning of the cottage and furniture.

BLINDS: Unfortunately, we have not had the best luck with guests and our window blinds, so please read the instructions we leave for you before attempting to adjust the blinds. We make sure all blinds are unbroken and in perfect working order before every check-in, and our cleaner makes sure they are all still working on check out. Broken blinds for the large kitchen window will result in a $160 replacement charge. All other broken blinds are $74 to replace if broken.

SHEETS: We supply very high quality, soft cotton sheets for your comfort. They are much more expensive than microfiber sheets, which we feel are like sleeping on plastic garbage bags. Please do not go to bed with lotions, potions, self tanners, sunblocks, conditioners, etc... anything that can stain the sheets. Stained sheets that cannot be cleaned will be billed to you. The queen bed sheets are $150 and the twin beds are $80 per bed.

We have decorated the cottage with various items from New England and various travels. Nothing is precious!… so feel free to pickup and hold anything you like. However, please refrain from moving indoor or outdoor furniture and furnishings. Items have been damaged and when heavy furniture is moved, it is too heavy for our cleaner to move back. If you use the outdoor grill, please remember to turn off the gas valve and clean the grill and grill utensils. If we have to clean it, there will be a $25.00 charge.

The beds are for sleeping, the couches are not. If your party can’t sleep on the two twin beds and one queen bed, this is not a rental for you.

The cleaning fee covers the costs of a turnover when you leave. You will be provided with 4 bath towels, 4 beach towels, dish towels and clean sheets/linens. Depending on the length of your stay, you might want additional cleaning or linen services. Please let us know at the time of your booking if this is the case so we can bill you for whatever additional services you require. Also, if you have children that have issues with bed wetting, please come prepared. We do have mattress pads on the beds, but we are not a hotel with 24/7 housekeeping. Soiled linens mid-stay will require an additional visit from our cleaners and will incur an additional charge. If guests wish to handle their own additional laundry needs, we highly recommend Sunshine Cleaners in Salem NH. They have wash/dry/fold services, do a great job and have reasonable pricing. They even have a pickup and delivery service.

In short, this is an ideal place to get away with a couple of friends or a small family for some R&R. It’s the perfect place to relax, read, sleep late, swim, day drink, hike, kayak, grill some steaks and sit by the fire at the end of the day with a nice cocktail. It is not, however, a place for large groups or get togethers.

As you can tell if you read our reviews, this is a wonderful place and we are very chill, very hands off hosts. The reasons for the bluntness of the above rules are as a result of past guests who have found and exploited any loopholes or omissions of rules. We love our guests, we just need to make sure they're a good fit for us... and that we are a good fit for them. We hope to see you soon!

The space

A Few Things to Note:

While the cottage doesn’t have a washer/dryer, Sunshine Laundry (just 20 minutes away) is a convenient option.

There is no dishwasher, but washing dishes the old-fashioned way can be turned into a fun little family competition!

Our cottage is seasonal and does not have a main heating source. However, space heaters are available to keep you cozy on cooler evenings. We recommend checking the average temperatures for your stay.

Our lake house offers a unique experience with rates that adjust according to the season, ensuring you enjoy the best of our location year-round. Each season brings its own charm, and our pricing reflects the demand and amenities available during those times. During the summer you have access to the lake for swimming, sunbathing, and kayaking if you have one. During the autumn season you can enjoy the fall foliage and leaf peeping!

Our cottage has a keyless entry system. We will send you a message with a unique code to allow entry the morning of your arrival. Make sure to save the code on your phone. When you arrive, enter the code in the keypad and the door will unlock. Enjoy your stay!

Other things to note
💧 Mindful Water Use – Our cottage is an older home with lakeside plumbing, so to keep everything running smoothly, we kindly ask guests to flush only when necessary. Absolutely no female sanitary products should be flushed.

🧹 Cleaning & Linens – A cleaning fee covers the property turnover after your stay. If you're staying longer than a week and would like fresh linens, let us know in advance, and we’ll be happy to arrange it for you (additional charge applies).

🚗Parking – Our crushed stone driveway accommodates up to two cars. To preserve the space and maintain easy access, please avoid pulling all the way forward when parking. Thank you!

📹 Security Cameras – For your safety and peace of mind, security cameras are located at the driveway and back door.

🔥 Grill & Propane
A grill and propane tank are provided for outdoor cooking. If the propane runs out during your stay, guests are responsible for refilling it. Shaw’s Supermarket, just a few miles away, offers convenient propane swaps.

For your convenience, a grill is available for use. We kindly ask that you respect other guests by keeping the grill cleaned after use. While we provide the grill, it may not always be cleaned between uses, and we do not hold our cleaner responsible for its condition. If needed, please give the grill a quick scrub before use. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining it.

Welcome to The Loon Nest! Recently updated Waterfront lake House Retreat w/ Sleeping for 8. Bring your well behaved dog and enjoy being directly on the water with a 20ft dock for all your aquatic adventures. The space
Kitchen is stocked with all the essentials for home cooking. On top of seating for 8 in the living room, there is an outdoor sectional sofa for relaxing with a view of the lake. The bedrooms are furnished with queen beds, as well as 2 twin sized air-mattress for extra sleeping space. The cedar, wood-fired hot tub is an amazing experience! Sitting and relaxing under the stars, just feet from the water, and all you can hear is the crackling of the fire! (Indoor fireplace is for decoration only)

Other things to note
The hot tub is a labor of love, and requires guests to know how to start and maintain a fire. The hot tub can take several hours to warm up at the begin of your stay. We will provide instructions, but it does require some work to get it heated & keeping it warm. It is so worth it! We do not use harsh chemicals in the hot tub, so showering before use is required to maintain water quality. The hot tub uses filtered water from the lake and is drained & cleaned before each guests arrival, but being in the woods some debris from the trees does fall into the tub and can be skimmed out.

The space
We love the cottage and stay in it from time to time. The natural wood is beautiful, and you really feel like you've escaped to the forest. You'll probably hear the loons early in the morning, and spot the eagle flying high to its nearby nest later in the afternoon!

The pullout sofa with upgraded memory foam mattress is located in the living room to accommodate 6 total guests.

The single bathroom is split into a toilet room and a separate shower room, which tends to better accommodate daily routines.

Grill and propane provided.

You'll have access to the cottage, dock (in season), canoe, and fire pit. Staircase provides direct access to the lake from the cabin porch. Parking can accommodate 2 vehicles and boat trailer.

Other things to note
TVs are set up to allow you to log into your personal streaming service (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Max, Disney+, etc).

Typical water depth near the end of the dock is 36-42" and can accommodate most boats up to 23-25ft in length.

There is no laundry on site. There are laundromats in nearby Pittsfield (15 minutes) and Concord (20 minutes).

Dock is removed at the end of the boating season, typically near the beginning of October, and installed in early May.

Please be aware there is low head clearance at the bottom of the stairs. Extra blankets in hope chest upstairs. Other things to note
House is supplied with one set of clean towels and sheets. Kitchen is fully equipped. There is a Keurig and a regular coffee maker (coffee is important). Laundry is in house. Guests must bring their own supplies.
Extra guests, parties and events are not allowed. This is a quiet and relaxing place.
NO pets allowed on property.

"Camp" is located on the Piscataquog River, which is a 34.7-mile-long river located in southern New Hampshire. This property is 1 hr from Boston, 1 hr from the White Mountains and Lakes Region, 1 hr from the beaches. Under 10 min from SNHU arena. Guests are welcome to swim (life jackets provided), canoe (provided), and and just relax in this tranquil setting. If you feel like exploring New Hampshire’s largest city and trendiest restaurants and bars, Elm Street is less than a 10-min drive away.

The space
This home has a New England feel and is decorated as such.  “Camp” has the capacity to sleep 12 people. It has 3 bedrooms (plus a bonus room with bunk beds) and 2 full bathrooms. Internet is provided which means you can watch your favorite shows on Netflix. Please be honest and book with the correct amount of guests staying. We've done this long enough to know how many guests are staying. Let's not make it awkward for us.

There is a 3 night minimum stay on weekends during high peak season. There are exterior security cameras.
