The "Kennebec" is one of several charming and well appointed rooms on the 2nd floor in this Coastal Cottage Bed & Breakfast - yours for a minimum of two nights. Next to one of the best beaches in Maine is this tiny off grid guesthouse measuring a mere 12 by 16 feet. Convertible space with murphy bed, led lights, Google TV, small refrigerator/freezer, propane stove/oven, deck with grill. Be advised there is a 24 inch hallway and door to bathroom.

The space
The Lake View Suite is our most luxurious room, a perfect sanctuary for couples. It features a king-size four-poster bed and south-facing windows that bathe the space in natural light, offering serene views of Silver Lake and the ocean horizon. The suite is spacious and elegantly decorated, with a cozy sitting area for unwinding.

The private ensuite bathroom provides a spa-like retreat with a two-person soaking tub and a walk-in shower. Ideal for a honeymoon, anniversary, or luxurious getaway, the suite includes modern amenities like free WiFi and a flat-screen TV.

Beach Access:
Just a 6-minute walk (0.3 miles) or 1-minute drive to Popham Beach, or a 2-minute drive to Popham Beach State Park. We provide complimentary beach essentials like towels and chairs, upon request. Nearby, explore beachfront dining and visit historic Fort Popham or Fort Baldwin for a touch of local history.

Guest access
Stonehouse Manor combines historic charm, Maine hospitality, and modern comfort. Relax on our 60-foot screened veranda overlooking lush gardens and Silver Lake. Enjoy outdoor activities such as croquet, horseshoes, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and lakeside lounging, or gather around the firepit in the evening. Inside, our cozy common areas with fireplaces provide warmth and ambiance for cooler nights. Guests also have access to a shared pantry with refreshments and an ice machine. Our attentive host Jane is always available to ensure your stay is unforgettable.

Other things to note
Experience world-renowned striped bass fishing along the beach or with local guides. Spot seals, sturgeons, and various fish throughout the day. Birdwatchers will delight in seeing eagles, osprey, herons, and the endangered Least Terns. For a cultural experience, the Maine Maritime Museum and Boothbay Botanical Gardens are just a short drive away. Centrally located between Boston and Acadia National Park, our secluded lakeside location offers a peaceful and luxurious retreat.

A small guest house in Douglas Park - the historic neighborhood adjacent to Bowdoin College. It's separate from our house but shares backyard. It was custom built & designed as a residence not a rental so it has nice higher end finishes especially in the kitchen. Less than a .5 mile to town/.25 mile to Bowdoin. It is next to an in ground pool and the whole backyard is fenced but pool is not separately fenced. The bedrooms do not have a lot of privacy from each other. It is a loft style space.

The space
This is a modern, highly energy efficient, small house in the open concept/ loft style. It includes a small bedroom, a small open space kids room with bunk beds, a full bathroom with shower & bath, a tiny wood stove (wood & kindling provided), radiant heat in the floors, small washer & dryer, a high end kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher, and full size refrigerator. There is a built-in desk work/office space.

In terms of sleeping accommodation, the house is ideal for 1-2 adults or a family with children. The bunk bed sleeping area does not have a separate door. The house is 620 sq ft. We have hosted 4 adults and are happy to rent to any configuration but want our potential guests to know that the second sleeping area doesn't have privacy.

We provide everything you need including: towels, sheets, bedding, laundry detergent, dish detergent, paper towels and the house comes with a few basic food staples like olive, oil, salt, pepper, flour, sugar etc...

Please note there is an in ground pool on the premises that is not separated by a fence and is not included with the rental. Please feel free to message me with specific questions about the space.

Bay View Room is facing North with east and west exposure on the 2nd floor. Room Locks. Small ensuite bathroom with shower.

Guest share access to common areas on the first floor including a reading room off of the main stairway, a parlor, a dining room, a guest pantry off of the dining room with ice machine where coffee and tea are available.

Also included in the common area is a sixty foot south facing screened veranda. We have found the veranda one of our most popular common areas because of the relaxed atmosphere to spend time whether chatting, reading, playing games or working puzzles after a day at the beach. The veranda opens up to a fieldstone patio, a popular place for enjoying your morning coffee overlooking lawns and gardens to Silver Lake, a twelve acre fresh water spring fed lake stocked with brook trout. A variety of lawn games, Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, and fire pits are scattered throughout the lawns for guest to enjoy.

Free parking for guests. Excellent tasting artisan well water from tap in room. Local Library and Non-denominational Chapel open in season.

Your room has been thoughtfully decorated with custom bed hangings, custom-made cotton percale sheets, down pillows, and natural Queen-size mattresses by Saatva. Antique furniture, a small seating area, and 19th-century framed French botanicals complete the space. 

The bathroom features porcelain fixtures, fluffy towels, and essential oil-infused bath products by EO. A miniature refrigerator, hairdryer, and complimentary bottle of Mountain Valley water are included during your stay.

Guests have access to a private area of shared garden space, with a teak dining table and chairs.

To honor the spirit of summer in Maine, there is no television in the room, however, WiFi is available.

The guest cottage rooms are on the second floor of a 19th-century style carriage house and feature two separate guest rooms (which can be rented together and accessed by opening the locked adjoining doors.)

A cozy, tranquil cottage located on a peninsula in Casco Bay provides guests with direct water access and breathtaking views. Enjoy your morning coffee or gaze at the night stars on your private backyard deck and delight in the waterfront wildlife of bald eagles & harbor seals. This soothing space includes 300º of water frontage, expansive living area, and a newly renovated kitchen and bath.

This property is not suitable for children due to a lack of fencing and exposed waterfront rock ledges.

The space
Water sports equipment (stand-up paddleboard, kayak, and two-person canoe) and motor boat rides are available for an additional fee.

Guest access
Guests have private access to the back of the cottage via a sliding glass door and can enter and exit the front entry from a primary deck shared with the host.
