The space
Walk in the front door to an open room with a queen size bed, couch, TV, and lots of windows. The back of the cottage features a full but quaint kitchen and a nice 3 piece bath. There is also a back deck to enjoy the Maine air.

And if you want to expand your space? Enjoy the back yard of the adjoining Main house and the quiet pool and fire pit area, surrounded by mature trees. And if it's night time? There's nothing like the Maine sky.

You'll obviously have full access to the cottage, and plenty of parking on the property. And you're more than welcome to enjoy the back yard of the adjoining Main house with the pool, fire pit, and mature shade trees.

Other things to note
Just a short walk from the property is a wonderful staple of the town of Wells, which is the Scoop Deck ice cream shop. There is more flavors than you can count!

The waste water from the cottage is controlled by and electric pump. Should the power go out (which is rare), please do not use the toilet or shower. In an emergency, we can take you in the Main house.

Our pool is behind the Main house. Our neighbor in the small White House next to the cottage also has a pool surrounded by a slatted black fence… PLEASE NOTE: THAT IS NOT OUR PROPERTY

When driving onto the property, you will see a red barn with a flag painted on the doors. Feel free to park in front of the barn, or in the grass to the left of the driveway. The cottage is just to the right of the barn.

All of our rooms HAVE private baths. While we love children and 4 legged family members, our 1870s home is not a suitable choice for your stay while here in Ogunquit. Our rooms can only allow up to two guests per room and can not accommodate cribs or roll-aways.

This one-of-a-kind room is in an 1820's farm house. Original wide pine floors and antique furniture highlight this original space. Soothing colors and custom window treatments adorn the room. The ensuite bath has stand up shower. Air conditioning will keep you cool on the occasional warm night, but a ceiling fan is also available. The queen bed has a luxury brand mattress, so you should enjoy a restful sleep. The room is on the 2rd floor. This room, and property, is NOT handicap accessible.

Beyond your room, you'll be able to enjoy what the entire property has to offer. In the morning, help yourself to a complimentary breakfast overlooking the deck, pool, fire pit and beautiful private yard. You can also relax in our sitting room/library and read a book, sit by the fire, play a game of chess, chat with other guests, or just take a nap! And while you're just a short walk to the beach, if you'd rather stay in, you can sit by the gorgeous swimming pool, or hardscaped fire pit. There is plenty of sun, and plenty of shade under stunning mature trees.

You'll have access to your room, a formal dining room, sitting room, library (with TV), a guest pantry (with fridge/freezer, ice maker, dish ware, glasses and utensils). Feel free to BYOB, and keep your perishable items in the fridge.

There is also a breakfast room that will have coffee, tea, fresh baked good, yogurt, other goodies each morning.

In the fenced-in portion of the yard, enjoy the pool, fire pit and newly renovated deck.

During your stay
When you arrive, we'll show you to your room and give you a tour of the property. Your room door card will have contact information, wifi, etc. There is plenty of room to either chat with guests, or find quiet time by yourself.

The building at 32 post road dates back to 1850. The Guest House Apartment is a lot newer! We wanted to share this wonderful building and location with guests from around the world, so we converted some of the barn to an adorable guest house. It is a perfect combination of modern conveniences while maintaining some historical charm.

The space
End of summer and fall minimum is down to three nights! Come visit mine for a long weekend, or stay for a whole month! it's the best time of year!

There is a full-sized kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Beautiful modern dark cherry cabinets. Plenty of room and amenities for a chef to enjoy Maine's local produce and seafood while preparing excellent meals.

Open concept family and dining room that includes a 55" cable TV, a full sized stack-able washer and dryer, a sofa and a love seat.

The bedroom has an open closet system and a queen bed.

The bathroom is fully tiled, spacious and has a luxurious rain shower head.

Two quiet AC units (Jun-Sep), and baseboard heating (Oct-May) will keep you comfortable for your vacation stay.

All living space is on one floor. The spiral staircase in the photos just leads up to additional storage/attic.

But, the best part about this space is the location. We are right on Route 1, just across the street from the trolley stop at the Ogunquit River Inn. Less than a mile walk to either the Foot Bridge or the Bourne Avenue public beach access (a 3 mile loop walk is a great way to start or end any day). Downtown Ogunquit is less than 2 miles away and Wells Beach is just 4 miles. We rarely drive anywhere in the summer! We just put on our walking shoes, throw on a small back pack and explore the towns and beach.

We welcome a small pet or two., small as in under 40 pounds. Your private front yard is fenced in, and equipped with some Adirondack chairs and a Firepit.

The only recurring complaint is the road noise, yes, we hate it to, and don't get my parents started, back when they were kids route 1 was dirt...... (it wasn't, I digress.....)
