Our beautiful vacation home is located in the desirable Birch Hill area at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Ideally positioned for the winter season with Cranmore mountain being only a 10 minute drive, Attitash 15 mins and Wildcat 25 mins. Several other slopes are within an hour's drive.

The open plan style offers ample space for up to 8 people and there are stunning mountain views from the high end hot tub located on the back deck.

The main level comprises the kitchen, diner, lounge and ¾ bath. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and many extras to provide you many of the comforts of home. The lounge has vaulted ceilings, an oversized wood-burning river stone fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the mountains. Comfortable seating, large smart TV (with cable), a 7’ combo games table (pool/air hockey) and a variety of games in the cupboard provide entertainment for all.

In the large open loft space there is a queen bed and 2 full beds. There is plenty of storage space in the form of storage chests and a small chest of drawers. In addition there is a foosball table for the young at heart.

A fully fitted basement provides comfortable accommodation with two spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom has a 45" Smart TV, a seating area, and a walk-in closet. The other bedroom sleeps four, in two built-in adult size bunk beds, and has a 24’ flat screen TV. A full bathroom also contains a private washer and dryer.

Our secluded ¾ acre lot is surrounded by trees on 3 sides and the cul-de-sac. The ground slopes quite steeply in places that enhances the stunning views but the meadow style area gives plenty of places to enjoy the outdoors.

When making your booking please ensure that you include the planned number of guests in your party. Notify me as soon as possible of any changes. A 20% discount is automatically applied for bookings of a week.

If your party is 7 or more persons then I will require a period of 2 days after your departure for extended cleaning (in line with recommendations), so please consider this when checking your vacation dates as this is not currently automatically assessed by the VRBO systems.

The house was clean and as described. The owners were very responsive and overall we had a great stay. A few things to note. The views are unreal! I’ve been going to North Conway my entire life and never ventured down to this area. I was blown away. The hiking (when it wasn’t raining) was fabulous and the people were nice. About the chalet, the air conditioner is extremely loud, it kicks on and off every 5 minutes or so which makes sleeping difficult. The bedroom is very small and the air conditioning doesn’t cool off the room. The main room didn’t have sheets when we got there which wasn’t a big deal, we just ran to the store and got a set. One of the neighbors keeps their dog off leash and it charged at us several times while we were there. This does not reflect on the owners of this chalet but just be mindful and be careful if you are walking. Overall we would stay here again."

This is a 4 bedroom A-Frame style Chalet located 1 mile from downtown North Conway, feels like your in the woods but your close to all of the action. Great place to get away. Very well taken care of. 2 bedrooms have brand new Queen Size beds and the smaller bedroom has 2 twin beds. We have just added an addition that has a small bedroom with twin size bunk beds. We have a front deck and back deck with a barbeque grill. Full kitchen setup. Upstairs living room has a new 42 inch hdtv, huge sectional, a brand new recliner, and a dining room table that seats 8, also has a wood stove for a nice fire in the beautiful New Hampshire winters. The lower living room has a couch and recliner with a 36 inch TV and DVR and a gas stove. No need to bring towels/linens....all CLEAN towels/linens are provided.

- "The house was very clean and in a fantastic location. Brandon was very responsive to any texts but we had no issues while staying at the house so I didn't need to reach out much. The only issue we had with the house was the upstairs toilet seat and mud room; the toilet seat was so loose it was barely on the toilet and the mud room smelled like a mouse died in it. But when you have a house in the woods, dead mice sometimes happen. Overall, very great stay and would stay there again."

- "Love spending time in North Conway and this place is wonderful to do it." - "Great chalet in a quiet and scenic place for our family of four. The deck was a great place to relax or drink a morning cup of coffee, the neighborhood was very walkable and a short distance to many paths in Cathedral Ledge park and Echo Lake. We drove up Cathedral Ledge but when the kids are older we are interested in taking the hike. Neighborhood is great, families around us and everyone was friendly as we passed while walking. No noise at night which is a huge plus with kids. The property itself had everything we needed, lots of cleaning supplies and directions for everything we would use. You can hear the noise from upstairs easily but it didn't bother us as we were typically on the same floor at the same time. It wasn't warm enough to take advantage of the outdoor shower but hopefully next time. Some cobwebs and spiders but as a family used to camping it didn't bother us. Will 100 percent stay here again for our next trip. Thank you Jim!"

- "Great little rustic house in the woods for our family vacation. Location is perfect for hiking trails and going to Echo lake, as well as being so close to the downtown shops and restaurants. Fire pit in the backyard was a perfect way to end our day!" - "Even with a rainy weekend, the area was beautiful. There are nice hiking trails steps from the house that my 6 year old was able to do. The view from cathedral ledge at the top of the road is incredible. It was convenient for both our visit to story land, and when I raced Mount Washington. The only negative is the trash situation. It is really inconvenient, so we ended up driving home with two bags of trash in the back, constantly having to stop our dog from tearing them open for 8 hours. I don’t know what the solution is, but it is not ideal. I have also never had to do the cleaning myself at a rental before. If I hadn’t been traveling with small children I would have liked saving the cleaning fee, but with littles I would have preferred to pay for the service. Other than that, the house was cute and cozy!"

Our Chalet boasts high ceilings, an open floor plan and a large deck that looks out to our ½ acre back yard and a small pond. ( The pond is not a swimming pond) Sometimes you might get lucky and see a thirsty deer that has stopped by to drink from the pond. We are a 5 minute walk to Echo Lake. MY favorite summer spot!

In the fall and summer we have a fire pit outside that is surrounded in a big sand pit with adirondack chairs for lounging which make the evenings outside with family or friends even more fun.

Additionally, we have a swing set with slide, a trampoline, and a sand box to keep the kids busy! We also have a NEW kids club house that is accessible by a ship ramp and has a slide for coming down. Under the house there is a 5x6 sand box with toys. This keeps the kids busy for hours and you can watch them play from the deck.

We also have new horseshoe pits and horseshoes!

We are located in a wooded neighborhood in the heart of the White Mountains, just a mile from downtown North Conway. Less than half a mile down the road is Echo Lake, a beautiful little lake with a swimming beach and a lifeguard in the summertime, sitting just at the base of both Whitehorse and Cathedral Ledges.

On your way into town, you will pass the popular Saco river, a great spot for kayaking or tubing on a hot summer day. Downtown North Conway has fun shops & boutiques, restaurants, and ice cream. Also nearby is the town of Jackson, another great spot to visit.

Our house sleeps 11-12 people. We have 4 bedrooms plus a sleeping loft. 2 bedrooms are downstairs. One of them is loft style upstairs. (one side is open) There is a ladder which takes you up to the loft bedroom.

There is a large, wrap-around deck with a grill off the dining area. The lower level has 2 more bedrooms with a double bed in one room and two sets of bunk beds in the other room, a full bathroom and a family room with a wood stove

The Chalet unit has a 52 inch Samsung HDTV along with high speed internet. Another on the 4 Season porch and one in Master bedroom. Efficiency has one as well.

It has an updated and fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops and breakfast bar, dishwasher, stove, microwave, pots and pans, dishes, etc. along with leather furniture in the living-room. This unit has a washer & dryer, a gas grill and grill utensils, and a really nice four season porch with 4 seat round table and on the other side two love seats to enjoy the TV. Also, numerous games in a small cabinet next to the TV stand. In addition, it has a dining area with a table that seats six to eight people and two bedrooms.The larger bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has a queen bed and bunk beds. There are linens provided as well as extra linens, blankets, and comforters. Altogether, it can sleep 6 people. The bathroom includes a shower/tub combo and a washer/dryer are also available and bath towels and extra towels are located in a cabinet above the washer/dryer. Kitchen appliances like a regular multi-cup coffee pot and a Keurig, a blender and toaster are also provided.

You can walk to ZEBS, HORSE FEATHERS, NORTH CONWAY COUNTRY CLUB, CRANMORE MT. AND more than TEN RESTAURANTS AND BARS. Cranmore Mountain hosts Summer Festivals and Concerts. The crystal clear Saco River offers fly fishing, swimming and kayaking and is also only a short walk. You can walk to Hiking trails for five neighborhood mountains. (Cranmore, Black Cap, Peaked, Middle, and Hurricane Mountain as well as Whittaker Woods).
The Chalet is located between Mt. Cranmore Ski area and The Train Station (NORTH CONWAY SCENIC RAILROAD) in down town North Conway Village. You can walk to all the events in the park. They include MUD FOOTBALL, NUMEROUS FREE CONCERTS, CRAFT / DOG SHOWS, 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS and numerous other events. There are at least 13 restaurants and bars within walking distance. Horsefeathers, Vito Marcello's Bistro, Fat Biscuit, Stairway Cafe, Peaches, Deacon Street Restaurant and Whiskey Bar, Pricilla's, Flat Bread, The Met, Front Side Grind, Hooligans, The North Conway Country Club, Ben & Jerry's, and others.

The crystal clear Saco River at FIRST BRIDGE RECREATION AREA, is also within walking distance. You can bring your chair and watch the kayaks and canoes travel down river all day. We provide one bath towel per person and two hand towels per bathroom. Washcloths are not provided.

Cell service can be spotty in the area. We recommend taking a screenshot of the Wi-Fi info before arrival in case of connectivity issues.

All dogs should be leashed outdoors and cleaned up after.

An additional fee will apply if pet waste or cigarette butts are found in the yard.

The top bunk is for children only.

Additional Information: During the winter months you can enjoy skiing, tubing, snowmobiling, ice skating, ice climbing, and snow-shoeing activities all close by. For those who want to relax but still enjoy the beauty of winter in the White Mountains you can ride the train on the scenic North Conway Railroad or take the spectacular ride on the Mt. Washington Cog Railway to summit !

Walking distance to Cathedral Ledge, Echo Lake, and the river. Minutes to Diana's Baths and town. Great view of the ledge from the deck. Highly recommended -- especially if you are climbing at the ledges. Hope to stay here again. Be aware -- you have to take your trash and recyclables with you. Not a surprise and this is not uncommon. Owners clearly state this in the welcome email. If you are checking out on Sunday or Monday, expect the local transfer station will be closed and you will be driving your garbage back home. Our outdoor furniture and fire pit are available weather dependent- typically late spring to early fall.

Our home is at the base of a small decline between a set of trees, so please enter with caution at night when it is dark. All wheel drive is ideal in the winter months.

A camera can be found at the entrance facing the driveway, as well as the outdoor grill/deck area. These are all used for security purposes only.

Amenities:

-This property features a starter set of supplies for guests which includes toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent, & hand soap. If you are staying for an extended amount of time, we recommended purchasing additional supplies!

-The beds are fully made & ready for your arrival with freshly laundered linens.

-Visiting like a local means being neighborly. Please be respectful of the owner's home and considerate of the neighbors at all times.

We love welcoming dogs into our home! The pet fee allows your pup to join your stay comfortably. To keep the home fresh for all guests, we ask that pets stay off beds and furniture as much as possible. The fee doesn’t cover large amounts of pet hair on multiple surfaces, so additional cleaning charges may apply if needed. Owners are responsible for picking up their pet’s waste outside of the home as well. Thank you for helping us keep the space clean and cozy for everyone!

THE SPACE
This recently and fully renovated space has everything you’re looking for while you’re on vacation. The chalet sleeps up to nine people in comfortable beds across the three bedrooms and living spaces. The kitchen is well appointed with stainless-steel appliances, and has great sight lines to the living spaces, so you won’t feel removed from the rest of the group. The couches are so comfortable and perfect for a movie night or afternoon nap. Two separate living spaces gives you space to spread out while still feeling together.

The lower level has two of the three bedrooms, and a full bathroom. The largest bedroom is situated on the bottom floor and has a queen size bed. This bedroom also has a washer/dryer, cot, and pack n’ play that are all available for use during your stay. Each of these bedrooms has their own individual HVAC unit for heat or air conditioning. The bathroom is large with the tub, shower, and toilet in a separate room from the double sinks to provide privacy for all guests.

On main floor, there are two custom twin-sized bunk beds, along with a large and comfortable sectional and a bumper pool table! Off of this room, you will find the master bedroom, which includes its own bathroom. The main room has an individual HVAC unit for heat or air conditioning, which is shared with the master bedroom.

On the upper level, you will find the main living space and kitchen. The kitchen is well-appointed with stainless-steel appliances and granite counter tops. The propane grill is on the small deck located directly off of the kitchen to make grilling easy. The dining table has hosted many meals and card games over the years. Feel free to use any of the games we have and try to not get too competitive! The living room has a lot of seating space with a flat-screen smart television that can be used to watch your favorite streaming services or cable. Or, just look out the large glass doors and windows to witness the natural beauty of Cathedral Ledge. On cold nights, flip on the gas fireplace for immediate ambiance and extra warmth. The large front deck has the best views of the ledge. There is a gas fire pit in the backyard for you to use.

So many things are within walking distance of the home. Enjoy a stroll around the private neighborhood after dinner, walk through the woods to Echo Lake or take a hike up cathedral ledge without getting in the car.

GUEST ACCESS
The whole chalet is yours for the duration of your stay. You will have access to whatever you need including the washer, dryer, pack n' play, gas grill, and gas fire pit.
