You are close to ski mountains, skidoo trails, & the tourist town of Magog Qc with lots to see and do all year around. There is a spacious covered patio off the main floor with out door dining table for 6, along with two swing chairs to relax & enjoy the out doors. The well equipped kitchen & dining area are on the second floor with another smaller covered balcony, a small BBQ & smaller table to relax with coffee or a glass of wine & soak in the privacy & nature all around with no neighbors in site. We also have a fire pit with chairs for some camp fires out on the side lawn. Inside you will find a Roku Smart TV, high speed Wi-Fi, an electric fire place, 2 bedrooms(with Queen beds) & 2 futons in the living room areas. We have tried to think of everything our guests may need focusing on smaller details for short or even longer stays.

Check-in was easy, all information was clearly communicated before. Fully equipped. I have rented many chalets and this one was better equipped than most. Plenty of firewood, plenty of everything you could need in the kitchen. We were a small group but plenty of parking for a few cars, EV charging station. Beautiful house, great location, nice quiet street."

- "The place was small for 4 and 2 medium dogs but we made do. There was no a.c but it was a cool breeze downstairs with the windows open upstairs was a little hotter. The hot tub was the best in the rain we probably would have stayed another night but it was already booked but again we would stay there again." - "Ok" - "We recently stayed for three nights at this cabin (two adults, two teens and a dog) for a ski trip. As some others have indicated, the main area/first floor is small. The pictures show a sectional but when we visited there was only one couch and it is only big enough for 3 people so one of us had to sit on a chair to watch TV. The bedrooms (1 private room with a door, other bed is in loft area) are very good size. I would not recommend for families with small children or anyone with mobility issues, as the staircase is very steep and steps are very narrow. Kitchen has flatware and pots/pans but missing some simple staples such as salt/pepper and aluminum foil/clingwrap. We got the exact number of towels for our numbers so bring your own if planning to use the hot tub. Hot tub was wonderful after a day of skiing! Received all the details needed beforehand which was great but emails sent before and during stay were not answered. Overall, would recommend for couples or families skiing at Mt Orford (5 mins away) who do not need too much space and plan to bring everything you need for cooking during your stay."

One small note / tip is that the fire flue runs through the second bedroom so it gets overly warm. Opening the window and using the fan helps. You will enjoy our recently renovated 2 closed bedrooms (Queen beds), bathroom and a laundry corner with stacked washer and dryer.

Relax in the living room with its beautiful foyer to either watch a movie on our Smart Roku TV or play a game of Monopoly or Scrabble (at your disposal). The dining room (table for 6) can accommodate your family meals or romantic dinners for 2, with a view on Mont Orford. A plus: the sofa in the living room is a sofa-bed (double bed).

The large kitchen is ultra functional and fully equipped. In the summer you will enjoy two private terraces: one at the front of the chalet to enjoy your meals and one in the back for cocktails while enjoying the view. You will also have access to a BBQ in the summer. The free private parking spot can accommodate 2 cars.

Our chalet gives you access to a private lake at walking distance (Lac à l'écluse).

Occupancy: The chalet has three closed bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed with two kids' spaces behind a demi-wall, each with a twin bed. There is a second bedroom with a queen bed and a third bedroom with a double bed.
Additional Guests: The base price of the chalet includes six people. An additional charge of $25 per person per night will be for guests of more than 6. Please make sure the correct number of people is reflected in your reservation.
Coffee Maker: Is a dual-format Keurig. It has a 12-cup carafe filter and a single-serve Keurig pod. We provide reusable filters for both formats. We also supply coffee from our local roaster, Fitch Bay, but if you have a preferred coffee, feel free to bring it along!
Air Conditioning: The chalet is situated amidst a serene forest with mature trees naturally providing a cooler ambiance. The chalet has a wall mounted mini-split that provides air conditioning. The community is near Mount Orford so there are lots of relatively small rolling hills that are fun for bicycling and running. Lovely forest trails in the park (only 2 km away), including some very challenging MTB trails. For the less active, there is a quiet park with a small waterfall, pond and forested area about 300 m. down (literally) the curving road to the chalet. Magog is 7 km away and has an excellent selection of food stores. Probably restaurants and bars too - certainly there is an excellent variety of local microbrewery beer!"

The space
The Chalet is newly renovated with walls of windows soaking the interior with light, a cozy fireplace nook for your evening cocktail, and a balcony off your bedroom for your morning coffee - all framed by a spectacular forested exterior.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook, bake and host! The kitchen is small, but the dining table is large and the living area spacious. There is a dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, toaster. Air mattress available for additional sleeping area.

Enjoy this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom chalet (and an air mattress for friends) with a wood-burning fireplace ideal for warming up after a long day of skiing (cross-country or downhill), snowshoeing, biking, or hiking. There is one queen bed in each bedroom and the second bedroom also has a double futon.

The chalet is surrounded by big beautiful pine trees with a glimpse of Mont Orford through the houses. We are located at the very top of the hill.

A small patio area has a BBQ, and a patio table and chairs for outdoor dining.

Puzzles and board games, and Netflix is provided and here for all age groups. There is also a small desk for those working away from home.

One complete bathroom with shower and a bath to relax the muscles after a day in the great outdoors. A second bathroom with just a shower is on the upper level. Towels available.

Parking is available for two vehicles. Bikes available for use upon request.

* No shoes in the house please, no smoking, no parties. We welcome up to 2 pets (but no cats due to an allergy)

Other things to note
Long term stays are welcome, but we do require some more information for long term guests.

1. Cleaning: We will provide all the necessary cleaning products for guests, such as a vacuum cleaner, broom, dustpan, garbage bags, a cleaning bucket, cloths and require that the guests keep the space clean as they found it. The guest is also responsible for refilling any cleaning products that run out during their stay.

2. Toiletries: We will provide a package of toilet paper and paper towel, but the guests are required to replenish this as needed during their stay.

3. Firewood: We have an annual supply of firewood on the property. Should this be used up by the long term guest, they are responsible for purchasing their own firewood.

4. We do not provide regular cleanings during a long term guests stay.

5. Long term guests will be responsible for communicating with landlords (thats us!) should any maintenance be required, or any problem arise. We will set up and send the appropriate contractors to resolve whichever issue comes up. If it is due to the guests actions, the guest will pay the fee for that work. Otherwise, we will cover those costs.

6. We will arrange for regular snow removal, and inform the guest of dates/times this will happen.

There is a compost toilet 30 seconds' walk from the cottage as well as the showers which are in the campsite's sanitary block. There is no running water in the cottage and the campsite showers are not functional during the winter from mid-October to mid-May.
We supply drinking water in 4 litre bottles and 18 litre bottles of water for the kitchen sink for dishes and other needs. There are three propane burners that will allow you to prepare small meals with ease.
The cottage is heated by a propane gas stove that looks like a wood stove, it is very pretty and very efficient. There is a remote control that serves as a thermostat, so you can control the heat so that the cottage is always comfortable.
There is no fridge but a very efficient cooler that keeps ice blocks for up to 6 days and ice is provided. A solar panel and high-performance battery provide 12-volt power for lighting and to plug in your phone or tablet.

Bathrooms: The chalet has 1.5 bathrooms. The full bathroom is downstairs and includes a bathtub and washer and dryer. The master bedroom includes a half bath with a sink and toilet.

Bedding and linens: Sheets and other bedding are provided for all of the sleeping spaces. There are also extra blankets. Towels are also provided.

Technology: The chalet has a flat screen TV with Netflix in the main living room. We also have high speed wifi.

Kitchen: Fully equipped with appliances which include fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, fondue pot, coffee grinder, coffee bodum and drip pot (filters and coffee not provided). Kettle and all other pans, pots and utensils.

Baby gear: The chalet has two highchairs and pack and play. It also has BPA free plastic cutlery, dishes and cups. Please note that our chalet is not child proofed. We do not have baby gates, electric socket covers, or cabinet door latches. The stairs are carpeted but have open risers.

Pet policy: Unfortunately we do not allow pets.

Heating and air: The chalet has electric baseboard heating and a gas fireplace with an easy to use remote control. Please note the fireplace glass does get very hot and caution should be taken if small children are around. The chalet does not have air conditioning but does have portable fans.

BBQ: The patio has a BBQ for your use, however it is not available during the winter months after snow fall as the space around it is not maintained.

Location: The chalet is located in a beautiful ski chalet community ideal for couples, families or friends that are looking for a relaxing place to soak up nature and all it has to offer. This is not a place for parties or loud behaviours and is strictly enforced at all times by the community.

No party policy: There are absolutely no parties allowed. Immediate eviction from the property will result without a refund and the guest that rented the chalet will be fully responsible for all cleaning costs and any damage that occurred. Community quiet hours are between 11:00pm and 7:00am everyone is resting up for a big day on the slopes!

The cottage is well equipped. Upstairs you will find a half bathroom with a mezzanine bedroom which has a sky light from where you could hear the sound of the little creek depending of the season. At the main floor you will have an entrance mud room style with an open area composed of the living room, kitchen and dininng room. This floor is windowed on 3 sides and therefore very bright for a feeling of living in the heart of nature with wood fireplace and air conditioning.

In the basement you will find a full bathroom with 2 bedrooms and a laundry room including a 2nd fridge. The bedrooms are composed of king, queen and double beds respectively.

Guest access
The chalet is located in a quiet street (cul-de-sac). There are 3 parking spaces in front of the chalet or only 2 if you have very large vehicles (it's forbidden to park in the street). We are equipped with a charging station for electric vehicle. The center of Orford and its restaurants are within walking distance, the chalet is also about 100m from the lake access. Mont Orford as well as Mont Orford National Park are accessible within 6 minutes by car. In the opposite direction you will find Magog' downtown with its majestic Lake Memphremagog and its countless activities.

• Pet Policy: We welcome pets and know how rare it is to find a warm and inviting place that does! To help cover the extra cleaning and maintenance involved, a $50 pet fee applies per stay. Please select “pet” as a guest type when booking. We allow a maximum of two pets per reservation.

Our cleaning team (who is very reasonable!) does their best to keep the space spotless for all our guests. If excessive cleaning is required after a pet’s stay, an additional $50 cleaning fee may apply.
