If your looking for a private getaway at a charming cottage on a 2 acre wooded lot this is your perfect spot. You are close to ski mountains, skidoo trails, & the tourist town of Magog Qc with lots to see and do all year around. There is a spacious covered patio off the main floor with out door dining table for 6, along with two swing chairs to relax & enjoy the out doors. The well equipped kitchen & dining area are on the second floor with another smaller covered balcony, a small BBQ & smaller table to relax with coffee or a glass of wine & soak in the privacy & nature all around with no neighbors in site. We also have a fire pit with chairs for some camp fires out on the side lawn. Inside you will find a Roku Smart TV, high speed Wi-Fi, an electric fire place, 2 bedrooms(with Queen beds) & 2 futons in the living room areas. We have tried to think of everything our guests may need focusing on smaller details for short or even longer stays.

As some others have indicated, the main area/first floor is small. The pictures show a sectional but when we visited there was only one couch and it is only big enough for 3 people so one of us had to sit on a chair to watch TV. The bedrooms (1 private room with a door, other bed is in loft area) are very good size. I would not recommend for families with small children or anyone with mobility issues, as the staircase is very steep and steps are very narrow. Kitchen has flatware and pots/pans but missing some simple staples such as salt/pepper and aluminum foil/clingwrap. We got the exact number of towels for our numbers so bring your own if planning to use the hot tub. Hot tub was wonderful after a day of skiing! Received all the details needed beforehand which was great but emails sent before and during stay were not answered. Overall, would recommend for couples or families skiing at Mt Orford (5 mins away) who do not need too much space and plan to bring everything you need for cooking during your stay."

It is an easy 10-minute drive from downtown Magog The kitchen was very nice. The hot tub seemed clean and was just a short walk away. Some items to note: They do not stock any bathroom soap, shampoo or conditioner so be sure to bring your own. If you want a separate towel for the hot tub, you should bring that as well. The bed in the master felt more like a double than a queen size. The mattresses were comfortable though. The wifi was not strong enough to stream any movies or sporting events on TV, it kept disconnecting even after we turned the wifi off on all of our devices. Due to the rain, we ended up driving to Montreal for a day, which was only about an hour away."

Occupancy: The chalet can sleep up to a maximum of 8 people. There are 2 closed queen bedrooms, a partially closed loft with a queen bed, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.
Additional Guests: The base price of the chalet includes six people. An additional charge of $25 per person per night will be for guests of more than 6. Please make sure the correct number of people is reflected in your reservation.
Coffee Maker: Is a dual-format Keurig. It has a 12-cup carafe filter and a single-serve Keurig pod. We provide reusable filters for both formats. We also supply coffee from our local roaster, Fitch Bay, but if you have a preferred coffee, feel free to bring it along!
Air Conditioning: The chalet is situated amidst a serene forest with mature trees naturally providing a cooler ambiance. The chalet has a wall mounted mini-split that provides air conditioning. Additionally, we have equipped the chalet with portable fans, and sun-blocking shades to ensure a comfortable environment.
EV Charger: Our neighboring chalet, the Denmark, has a Level 2, 30-amp EV charger that is shared among all of our guests at no additional cost. The cable is long enough to reach from Chalet Denmark to the Chalet Norwegian driveway. We kindly request that you return the charger cable once your vehicle is fully charged to allow other guests to recharge their electric vehicles.

Steep Stairs: Families with young children or individuals with mobility issues should consider that the chalet has steep stairs when deciding.
Infants & Children: While we happily welcome families with infants and children, please be aware that the chalet is not childproofed with cabinet latches, socket covers, or baby gates. Additionally, we do not provide amenities specifically for children, such as high chairs, cribs, or pack 'n plays.

Parking: The driveway can accommodate 2 to 3 cars, which is ample space for the chalet's capacity. Please refrain from parking on the road, in the yard, or using the neighbor's driveways.

Chalet Evasion Orford is a charming chalet on one level (no stairs) with a beautiful view of Mont Orford and all the comfort and amenities to make your vacation a memorable one ! We are certified "Bienvenue cyclistes" by Vélo-Québec as a "cyclist friendly" chalet, with a secured shed, bike pump and emergency repair kit at your disposal.

You will enjoy our recently renovated 2 closed bedrooms (Queen beds), bathroom and a laundry corner with stacked washer and dryer.

Relax in the living room with its beautiful foyer to either watch a movie on our Smart Roku TV or play a game of Monopoly or Scrabble (at your disposal). The dining room (table for 6) can accommodate your family meals or romantic dinners for 2, with a view on Mont Orford. A plus: the sofa in the living room is a sofa-bed (double bed).

The large kitchen is ultra functional and fully equipped. In the summer you will enjoy two private terraces: one at the front of the chalet to enjoy your meals and one in the back for cocktails while enjoying the view. You will also have access to a BBQ in the summer. The free private parking spot can accommodate 2 cars.

Our chalet gives you access to a private lake at walking distance (Lac à l'écluse).
