- "The online pictures did not do justice to this property. While it is simplistic in decor and not what you would consider glamorous we immediately felt at home as soon as we entered. On a dead end street on a beautiful lake the views from both the main floor or top floor were quite spectacular. Dealing with the owner was a pleasant experience. All questions answered and open to suggestions. We cant wait to go back!" - "Cette période de vacances fut assez désagréable; le chalet bien placé au bord du lac Conelly présentait bien, sur les photos, mais l’intérieur (placarts, comptoir, tiroirs) était un véritable foutoir pas très propre. De plus, L’agence de location Vrbo présentait ce chalet comme ayant 4 chambres de disponibles alors qu’en fait, il y en avait 3, l’une d’entre-elles était verrouillée pour contenir les affaires du propriétaire. D’autre-part, nous avons subi les effluves de la fosse septique pendant la majeure partie du séjour. Le séjour a été peu agréable et peu digne de 20 jours de vacances. Une compensation devrait être fournie par l’agence Vrbo pour cette très mauvaise prestation."

Important points to consider before renting

• Minimum 32-day rental. Discount of 5% for rental of 8 weeks, 7% for 10 weeks and 10% for 12 weeks or more!
• NO party or large gathering will be tolerated out of respect for our neighbors and our property.
• ZERO tolerance for excessive noise, parties and/or any other disruption to the neighborhood.
• STRICTLY non-smoking, both inside and outside. NO drugs, cigarettes, vapers, e-cigarettes or illegal substance use will be permitted.

The space
Like the Phoenix coming back from its ashes, our beautiful chalet was rebuilt after being completely devastated by the flames in October 2015. Rebuilt from scratch, it embraces contemporary touches while preserving some rustic elements that bring character and soul to this peaceful oasis. A huge fireplace livens the open area upstairs and contributes to a warm and friendly atmosphere. Sunrises on the other side, sunny late afternoons, and views of the stars at night are just some of the highlights of a stay at Le Phoenix.
Note: Phoenix can cause an outbuilding. You may feel a deep desolation when you leave. We're not responsible for the irrepressible desires to come back!!!
Even if you don't see them, there are still a few neighbors relatively close to the chalet. It's IMPORTANT to respect them! Uncontrolled effusions of happiness, shouting of joy and music outside are not welcome. See the applicable penalties in "house rules".

Guest access
The phoenix is all yours! The barn is accessible but can't sleep there. You can roam freely on the cottage grounds and public trails in the forest around the lake. However, ALL the land that borders the lake is private and is not accessible under any circumstances. See the applicable penalties in "house rules".

Guest access
The cottage will be used exclusively by guests during their stay.

Access to the cottage is by a 300' (100 m) driveway offering flat parking space for 4 vehicules. An additional parking is available at the bottom of the driveway. Please note, the drivewayis well maintained but steep and an VUS is recommended in the winter.

Only the garage is unavailable to guests.
