The house features a large rap-around deck on 3 sides, one of which is a covered porch. On the deck is a BBQ grill, a picnic table and additional seating for outdoor entertainment and dining. In the side yard there is a large fire pit for roasting marshmallows with the kids and evening entertainment for adults.

Guns and hunting are not allowed on the premises without the express written permission of the owner!

We welcome all snowmobile and winter sport enthusiasts. Our property is large enough to accommodate snowmobile trailers of all sizes. The Warren County snowmobile trails are a short ride from the property. You can access Lake George Village from these trails. Trail maps will be provided. [A signed liability waiver is required, and will be provided]. Boulder Ridge is approximately 20 minutes from Gore and West Mountain Ski Centers, and only 10 minutes to Hickory Hill Ski Center. The property is 10 minutes from the Village of Lake George, and approximately 35 minutes to Saratoga Springs Performing Arts Center, the Saratoga casino and race tracks. Great Escape Amusement park and Splash Water Kingdom is a short 15 minute ride.

During the winter months 4x4 or all-wheel drive vehicles are required to access the house, given that the terrain is mountainous.

When arriving on our private road Alpine Loop to the Chalet your welcomed by the scenery views of the natural watershed ponds and the nature amongst them. Depending on the time of year the scenery is the most welcoming parts and reflections of the season of life on the ponds. Each season is beautiful on its own merits. With the changing dynamics of wildlife which lives upon them and around them.

When you arrive at the Chalet the outside lights are on to light your way to the front door. Upon entering the front door, a warm ambiance of lights and the seasonally decorated space will make you feel right at home. There are hooks and hangers to hang up your jackets and hats. A bench to take your shoes off and provide storage for your things. A homemade treat greets you that abides to you and your family’s personal dietary requirements. We provide hot drinks for our guests from Coffee, tea, hot chocolate with marshmallows,’ sugar, honey, sugar substitutes provided also along with creams. Giving you that must needed treat after your long journey to the Adirondack adventure trip or retreat you are starting. The Chalets’ sleeping area offers comfortable Queen bed and one twin and one extra-long twin bed with luxurious bed linens and pillows. The Queen bed provides four under the bed deep drawers for personal items and clothes. There is a wood chest in the living area that stores the sheets, pillows, and blankets for the twin beds.
Cozy up on the couch for a relaxing time together. Take in a book or watch a movie or simply good down-to-earth conversations together relaxing in the living room area listening to music. The living area has all the indoor entertainment for your trip with cards, games, and books for young and old. Sirius music provides music for your music tastes as well as news and sports channels.

Television is a 40" Roku tv with a pull-out capability to view it at kitchen bar counter. The chalet has multiple light options and offers multiple outlets throughout for all your needs including the balcony and garden veranda at the front entrance sitting area.

Outside is a picnic table with an umbrella in the summer and in the winter, we move it under chalet for covered seating. A small charcoal grill provided. There is a stone fire pit with benches and small tables to enjoy your time under the stars. Firewood and kindling provided.

One of the most pleasant parts of the Adirondacks and being at Oven Mountain Chalets is seeing the open skies of a full canopy of stars in the night sky. With the moon, stars, galaxies, and planets above with all the quick flashes of light of shooting stars above in the darkness with the sounds of nature around you. Here at Oven Mountain Chalets, we have in-house plowing and shoveling right to the front door, no fear of power outages for we now have a whole house by-standing generator. We do not charge a cleaning fee on your rental with us.

Cell phone coverage can be unpredictable at times, but AT&T does have coverage at the house, and actually gets great LTE data service as well. Coverage in town is available for AT&T now but may not be for others, so plan accordingly if you were hoping to call back to the house because you forgot what you needed at the store. Verizon coverage has improved based on reports from guests.

Wi-Fi is available for use with high speed fiber connectivity (500 down/500 up).

Our property is on a town maintained dirt road and our driveway is a mix of dirt and stone. While the town makes every effort to keep it plowed sudden snow is common and can quickly cover the road, making them slippery. We also work to keep the driveway cleared but can be limited in larger snow falls as it may require a front-loader which can't zip around town. At least one four wheel drive vehicle is recommended in the winter or a very experience winter driver.

We have security cameras on the property, full details on why and what we can see on our website.They record 24/7 and can be viewed remotely. We wish we didn't have to have them but guest behavior has necessitated them. We have had items stolen, damaged, broken into, taken apart and more. The is one in our locked shed, it is a separate structure, it isn't for guests. There are none inside beyond what has been listed. Outside we need to monitor driveway conditions, group arrivals, propane tank, septic tank, A/C condenser, garbage totes, wood pile, areas leading to entry doors, shed access. We cannot see into the house from any camera. We do not have audio monitoring devices. If you have any concerns we can share an image from any camera upon request, they all have timestamps.

Would appreciated check-in emails, markings or documentation to provide more clarity on areas that are not supposed to be accessed. Location accessed was left accessible. Great location only 1.5 miles from Northway/Rt 87. Steinmetz Lodge is a year-round Adirondack chalet located on Paradox Lake inlet. This year-round vacation home of 2300 square feet, constructed in 2004, is ideal for families with kids. The property has its own private waterfront and boat dock on the inlet, 150 yards from the lake, and access to a quiet, sandy, community beach for sunbathing/swimming. The Lodge has a fully-equipped kitchen and large family room on the main floor with a cathedral ceiling, Adirondack beams, gas stove/fireplace, and two sliding glass doors to a wraparound deck overlooking the waterfront. Hiking guides are available in the Lodge. Fall is a wonderful time to hike and enjoy the glorious color changes. In the winter, go ice fishing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Downhill skiing at Gore Mtn. is a 35-minute drive and Whiteface is 45 minutes. The Lodge is close to many popular attractions, including Fort Ticonderoga, Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, Lake George, and Saratoga. In the winter, be sure to check dates for the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival. In Schroon Lake, there are several restaurants and a coffee shop, as well as many shops catering to visitors, and the Paradox Brewery, which has opened a new site just north of the Lodge in North Hudson on Route 9.

A Tesla 240 volt, 40 amp, charging outlet was recently installed on the exterior of the Lodge.

Boating: You can bring your own power boat; the dock can accommodate most sizes. There’s a public boat launch on the lake. A canoe, paddles, and lifejackets are provided; a pair of kayaks with paddles may be rented from the Lodge. Boat rentals are available at the Schroon Lake Marina.

Our summer season rental rate from Memorial Day to Labor Day is $2,800 for a weekly, seven nights minimum stay. Our off-season rate in the fall, winter, and spring is $400.00 per night for a minimum three-night stay ($1,200) and a seven nights discounted weekly rate of $2,100. The rate for Christmas, New Year's and President's stay of seven nights is $2,800, with a minimum stay of three nights ($400.00 per night).

Enjoy the peaceful serenity of Loon Lake from your deck. The views will soothe your soul. We have 2 kayaks available and a canoe (until November) if you wish to enjoy the lake and the beautiful fall colors of the changing leaves surrounding the lake. Our home is less than 23 minutes from Gore Mountain and 30 minutes from Lake George. The snowmobile trail system can be accessed right from our door! Hike nearby Stewart Mountain, or venture into the town of Chestertown and visit the many shops and the famous Ice Cream Parlor which serves up the most delicious breakfast and lunches and of course, yummy ice cream! This area is well known for its excellent trout fishing nearby on the Schroon and Hudson Rivers . When the lake freezes, snowshoeing on the lake is amazing.

This pristine custom home boasts 2 living rooms, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, a bar/ hot tub room, fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, large dining room and deck off the master suite and the main living area. It is well suited to two families.

The ground floor has a living room with a futon. This room can also accommodate two cots which are available. There is a bedroom with 2 bunk beds each with a full size bottom bunk and single top bunk. The single top bunks have limited sitting up height. Suitable for children only. The bathroom has a walk in shower.
Main floor has a living room with gorgeous lake views, wrap around deck, pull out sleeper sofa, large dining room, bedroom with a queen bed, bath with shower and kitchen with new appliances. This floor has a room with a bar and a Jacuzzi that can accommodate 6 people. ( available Sept 15-May 23) . Windows surrounding the hot tub makes you feel like you are part of the outside beauty.

These 3-bedroom knotty pine cottages are just 75 feet from the water and can be connected to form a 6-bedroom Beach House. The Space:

With FAST Broadband internet, and tastefully furnished, the lodge offers the ultimate open concept living where family and friends can enjoy conversation between the large kitchen with oversized eat-in island, the formal dining area with a table for 10 and the living room which features plenty of seating, a woodburning fireplace and panoramic views of Crane Mountain.

On the same floor you will find the primary bedroom with a queen bed, and a private bathroom with large shower. There are two more bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a twin over full perfect for a couple with child. All with high end mattresses and bedding for your comfort.

Downstairs you will find the TV room where you can relax and watch movies or play video games. There is a separate games area with a pool table, cards table and many board games to choose from. There is also one additional bedroom with a double bed that sleeps two and one full bathroom with large shower on this level.

The fun continues outdoor where you will find a large inground heated pool with comfortable lounge chairs where you can enjoy the sun while reading your favorite book. There is a wooden deck off the kitchen with a dining table where you can enjoy a relaxing breakfast, a separate garden dining table and grill for large group meals, and a firepit for relaxing evenings around a bonfire while enjoying the surrounding views. There is also a large hot tub under a gazebo for your relaxation.

-Please be aware there is not cell signal at the property, but phone calls can be made once connected to WiFi.We provide a strong WiFi service but remember it is the Adirondacks and due to bad weather, WiFi strength can vary. This is beyond our control.

If you are not willing to follow the following rules, we will have to ask you to leave the property immediately without a refund
-Parking is limited to 3 vehicles
-Only registered guests are allowed on the property.
-No smoking inside the lodge, near propane tanks or on deck
-Illegal substances of any kind are prohibited on property. If property is being used for any kind of Illegal behavior, you will be asked to leave and reported to the police.
-Pets: Only dogs are welcome (sorry we are allergic to cats), No more than 2 small dogs are allowed per reservation, 15-20 pounds max per dog. If extra cleaning is needed due to pet hair it will be deducted fromthe security deposit.
-Damage: Guests are responsible for any damage of the property.
-Any report of visible damage or something not working properly should be made upon arrival. Please take care of Kitchen items as your own and leave items as you found them.
-Do not clean stove top while hot and only use soapy water to clean with sponge. Do not move furniture around.
-Try as much as possible not to have accidents on any sheets, duvets, towels and other linens. Black makeup towels are provided in each bathroom for your use.

The Chalet is located along a dead-end road with direct access to the Warren County Bikeway. The house offers wonderful lake views and is situated on the host’s property. There is a deck overlooking the lake, a wonderful place to start your day. The water off the dock is deep enough to jump in off the end of the end or you can wade in off the beach. After a lovely day at the lake, have diner on the outdoor deck and relax in front of the campfire. What a perfect day in the Adirondacks but just 2 mile off I-87 exit 20, 20 minutes to Saratoga, 5 minutes to Lake George Village, 3 minutes to Adirondack Outlets and 2 minutes to 6 Flags great Escape Adventure and Water Park. Just check out the local chamber of commerce web site. There are other amusement parks, outlet shopping, museums, malls, restaurants, hiking, white water rafting, horseback riding, etc. We are sure you will have a great time.

Glen Lake is approximately 3 miles long. The house is in the deeper and wider sections of the lake. The Dockside Restaurant is on the lake serving lunch and dinner. A dock space is available for a small runabout, fishing boat or jet ski. Kayaks, Canoe are also available. The water is comfortable and great for swimming and activities. Surrounding homes along the lake are mostly year-round and it tends to be very quiet during the week, especially during the day.
