- "The Lodge was beautifully appointed. It had various seating spaces throughout the main room. Each had its own personality. The gorgeous wrapped around bar was closed for the winter season. The gym was well equipped. The beautiful pool along with the sauna and hot tub were encased with floor to ceiling windows which allowed picturesque views of Schroon Lake and the lovely grounds. The accomodations included a coffee machine, Mini frig, plenty of towels, comfortable beds and pillows. The elevator s made it convenient for the check in, check out process. The staff went out of their way to help with any concerns. Reasonably priced for the winter months."

During this stay, a snow event happened that caused a need to stay one more night. The entire group helped arrange for the extra stay and made it easy to make the adjustments needed. I have stayed at this hotel several times and each time I have had an excellent experience. I don't even think of another hotel when I come to this area. I recommend this hotel to everyone."

Everything that you need (e.g. shops, restaurants, entertainment) is within walking distance. The main "downtown" village is approximately 8 minutes walking (all side walks) and the pool is steps from your front door. A family-run (not ours) Italian restaurant that has been in business since 1954 is located directly across the street, as is a family-run (not ours either) breakfast place. There is parking directly outside of the unit.

Other things to note
Our family and team take pride in our property and we want our guests to have a wonderful experience. So, we encourage questions and inquiries before booking. Please let us know if there is anything specific that we can do to make for a wonderful stay. We greatly appreciate your interest and your business.

WiFi disclaimer

Please note that we are in the mountains with limited cell towers and cable internet service. When there is a surge of people in the area WiFi and cell service tend to bog down. Service is best early morning before 8 am and after 11 pm as usage is down at these times. This is not a problem just at our property but all over the area given the terrain and limited cell towers. Weekends are the worst of times and weekdays have much better service as there are less people in the area fighting for the same service.

More than just a rental, our cozy cabin has been our family vacation home for many years and is the perfect space for families and fiends to enjoy time together in the Adirondacks. By all means, our cabin is not perfect! But it is clean and cozy and an awesome place to kick up your feet after a great day's adventure. We hope you love it as much as we do!

SETTING:
Rustic and charming home on one acre with direct beach access to Mill Creek for fishing and rock hopping. Head out for a walk or bike ride on our country road and find the local swimming hole. During winter months, there's a great sledding hill just steps away. The sliding doors from the living room lead out to a small deck and hot tub with the backyard (complete with playhouse) beyond.

Cozy Cub Cabin Mountainside is newly renovated and just 2mi from the shores of Lake George, Hague Town Park, playground, sandy beach and public boat launch. This unique retreat has a year-round hot tub, fireplace, loft & cathedral ceilings that provide a social media-worthy rustic Adirondack experience paired with luxury amenities. Enjoy a modern kitchen, ample dining area, fireplace, screened-in porch with hammock, and a backyard oasis with fire pit, ADK chairs, gazebo, & string lights.

The space
Cozy Cub Cabin Mountainside is newly renovated! You'll be immersed into a true Adirondack cabin experience complete with charming rustic decor, yet you'll have luxurious modern amenities.

The great room and living area boast cathedral ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the trees. The natural birch log beams are accented by the warm leather sectional, gas fireplace and stone mantle. The Smart TV, fireplace and Heat/AC operate at the push of a button.

Off of the great room is a relaxing screened-in porch with a seating area and hammock. This porch connects to the front porch where the Blackstone Grill and Gas grill are easy to access.

The kitchen has granite countertops and is fully stocked with all plates, bowls, servingware, bakeware, cookware, and small appliances you may need. Basic spices, oil/vinegar, coffee, tea and hot chocolate are included!

The full bathroom has 2 vessel sinks, custom mosaic shower wall, rainfall shower head and new toilet. Plush 100% cotton bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, bathmat are included. We also supply beach towels for the hot tub, which is right off of the kitchen through sliding glass doors.

The main floor bedroom, The Bear's Lair, attaches to the main bathroom and offers a king bed, dimmable lantern sconces, and blackout shades.

On the second floor is The Treetop Loft, where you'll find 2 queen beds (1 is adjustable firmness on each side!) and a twin bed along with 2 dressers and a seating area. A half bath is connected. We supply disposable eye masks and ear plugs.

Additional guests are allowed with approval of the host.

Outdoors, you'll enjoy a large front porch with ADK chairs, a brand new 6-seat hot tub, custom-built log gazebo with string lights and a table and chairs, a fire pit with ADK chairs and a large picnic table.
