Welcome to the "Loft" ! (You are renting the TOP half of this duplex chalet).

This is a seasonal rental for 4 months. You pick the 4 months (Nov-April).

We are 1/2 mile from the south entrance of Mt. Snow !!
and 35 mins to Stratton, and 40 to Bromley !!

This is a 3 bedroom, plus loft, 1.5 bath upper unit available to rent for the winter season of 2024/25. It sleeps 4-5 people comfortably. The MBR has a queen bed and a separate bathroom. BR1 has a twin bed, BR2 has a full bed. All bedrooms have a closet and a dresser. The 2 bathrooms are well appointed. One of them is dedicated to the MBR with a tub/shower and the other contains a washer/dryer. This home has a full re-modelled kitchen and a dining area with a large dining table with 6 chairs allowing for lovely family meals. The living room is also well appointed with a 50 inch TV, couch and multiple comfy chairs. Fast internet service is provided via a dedicated high-speed fiber line into the home. Cell service is perfect here as well being so close to the mountain. Each bedroom also has a TV with a Roku connection for each. The LOFT is up a spiral staircase and has 2 hockey game tables, a TV, and a pull out couch. This home is heated via electric baseboard heat. The entrance is through a mudroom where you can store all your ski gear.

Bar and grill , Snow Mountain Market, The Coffee Barn Café and the Moover’s ride to Mt. Snow on Rt. 100 are just a short walk away. Many more restaurants and shops are 1-2 miles away, some of them within walking distance.

A loft is accessible with a ladder from that bathroom and has a single bed

You can fit up to 8 people.
Dog friendly up to 2 dogs max per stay. The dog fee is $ 125/per stay.
Dogs still need to behave and if any damage is reported after , the guest will be accountable for the repairs or furniture replacement.

An outdoor motion sensor camera is active for your own security, it points out to the entrance and driveway.

Jacuzzi facts and best practices:

The water is tested for its PH and cleaned between each guest by professionals, which could be done twice a week during the busy season.
No guests are allowed to add any chemicals of any sort to the jacuzzi or it will change the right balance of the water and may turn it into a darker color.
The water in the Mount snow village comes from 2 wells tested regularly by the Vermont water authority and has a high level of metal which is totally safe but sometimes can result in cloudy or GREEN water in the Jacuzzi.
CLOUDY WATER DOESN'T MEAN DIRTY WATER!
Each guest is expected to shower prior to using the tub. Body sweat, deodorant, or alcohol drops in the Jacuzzi will have consequences on the quality of the water.
Professionals always recommend a maximum of 20 min experience in the water when the temperature is above 100 degrees.
Do not leave the spray jets on after leaving the tub.
Consuming alcohol while in the Jacuzzi is highly not recommended.
No glass bottles, nor glassware nearby the edge of the tub are allowed. If we found broken glasses in the tub or nearby the tub, that would be considered a severe breach of contract compromising the return of the deposit.
The jacuzzi has no steps to go down so please be careful.
We recommend that no kids under 7 should be in the water without any adult supervision.
Certainly, no kids of any age who do not know how to swim should be left alone with no adult supervision.
The Jacuzzi is not a swimming pool, so staying longer than 20 mins in + 100 degrees warm water is not recommended by health professionals.
The Jacuzzi is not a bathtub to wash your hair or body, any shampoo, conditioner, or body wash will compromise severely the water quality.
Stepping on the soft cover is not allowed. If the soft cover is broken the cost to replace it is $600. if you have to shovel the snow on the softcover always use gently the plastic shovel and not the iron one.

The house is priced for 4 people occupancy. Any additional guest above 4 is charged $50 per person per night.

The house is officially situated on one acre but we back up to national park land so feel free to roam the backwoods for as long as your legs can sustain you. The home and grounds are available for your enjoyment!

Additionally, there is a private groomed ski-home trail from Mt Snow that comes to Bears Crossing. Stratton ski resort is a 25 minute drive from the house.

Hiking • The Green Mountain National Forest is a great place to hike around and explore Haystack Mountain Trail. The Harriman Reservoir is a short 30 minute drive and is a great place to enjoy kayaking and lakeshore hiking.

The Club House • The community features a heated outdoor pool to enjoy those great Vermont summers as well as a BBQ area and fire pit on the upper deck.

Linens, towels, soaps, dishes, pans, spices, fans, board games, private outdoor grill you name it! The grill propane tank was empty so we contacted the owner. His response was immediate. We were able to purchase a new full tank at a nearby location and the owner refunded us the price of the new tank. Owner was very informative and responsive throughout our stay. - "We loved our stay in this chalet! My friends and I spent a weekend (Fri-Mon) in this home and all of our expectations were exceeded. We had so much fun enjoying all this home had to offer including the hot tub, grill, fire pit, games in the basement (Pac-Man, Mario Party, air hockey, etc.). The beds were so comfortable and the place was so clean, it was honestly nicer than most hotels we had stayed at. One of the things that really stood out was how above and beyond the host went in the details: tons of extra towels, pots/pans/plates, body wash/shampoo in all the showers, washing machine/dryer available, streaming services on the TVs, etc. The list goes on and on. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back in the future!"

☆☆ BEDROOMS + BATHROOMS ☆☆
The place has six bedrooms across two levels; four upstairs on the second level and two on the main level. Each of these lovely, bedrooms has comfortable beds and functional touches like USB chargers on either side of the bed. Each room has its own thermostat for heat, so each bedroom can have its own ideal sleeping climate to recover from the day’s activities and wake up refreshed for what the next day brings.

The primary suite upstairs is furnished with a plush king-sized bed, an Apple TV, and a cushy armchair perfect for curling up with a good book. There is also a sit/stand desk with an external monitor looking out a big window to make the work that much more enjoyable. The bright, spacious ensuite bathroom has a walk-in shower.

The second bedroom upstairs has a similar setup, with a comfy queen-sized bed, a desk, and an ensuite full bathroom. The third bedroom offers a queen-sized bed and a twin bed, as well as a small desk. The fourth bedroom has two twin-sized beds and an Apple TV. The third and fourth bedrooms have access to a full bathroom with a walk-in shower in the hallway upstairs.

The remaining two bedrooms are on the main level. The fifth bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a twin bed, while the sixth bedroom has two twin beds. There is one bathroom on the main floor in between the bedrooms with a shower/tub combo so you can choose between a relaxing soak or a refreshing rinse.

I stock all the bathrooms with organic toiletries from Pharmacopeia, along with essentials like cotton rounds and Q-tips, disposable makeup remover wipes, and plush towels. If you’re a weirdo like me and prefer a raspier towel, the ones meant for the hot tub will do the trick.

☆☆ KITCHEN ☆☆
The full kitchen has everything you need to whip up tasty meals for large groups, including stainless steel appliances, cookware, dishes, and spacious countertops for prepping and serving your groups favorite dishes. I provide olive oil, balsamic, and a full suite of 24 organic spices, and a dishwasher makes cleaning up a breeze because who wants to spend time doing the dishes while on vacation?

I aim to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I provide a starter supply of coffee and three different ways to make it. Choose from a Keurig, stovetop espresso, or drip coffee.

At mealtime, you can sidle up to the kitchen bar (seating for three), or enjoy meals as a whole group at the formal dining table (seating for 10). There is also another bartop seating area next to the dining table for additional guests.

A small laundry room sits just off the kitchen, complete with a full-size washer and dryer, along with complimentary detergent.

☆☆ LOUNGES ☆☆
The main lounge sits right across from the kitchen, making it the perfect place to hang out and keep the group’s designated chefs company as they work their magic. The large, plush sectional is unbelievably comfortable, so here’s a warning: once you sit down, you’re not going to want to get up. Luckily, there is a massive flat-screen Smart TV to keep you entertained as you vegetate, and a whole DVDs collection to choose from. To cozy up even more, there are extra blankets and a stove with live fire (automatically lit by the thermostat). It really is an amazing ski/mountain lodge. I love it.

There is an additional sunken lounge area complete with a pool table, a bar area made out of live-edge wood cut down on this very property that I made myself, and plenty of huge windows that bathe the area in beautiful natural light. After a day of skiing or hiking, the boots and wet mittens can go on the boot dryers so they’re ready for another day of play on the trails.

Upstairs, there’s a sunroom with a poker table, a desk, and an additional lounge space with a leather sofa and two super comfy rocking chairs, perfect for devouring a good book or enjoying a happy hour drink with your loved ones. Or bust out the board games to crown the reigning Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, Code Names, or UNO champ.

☆☆ OUTSIDE SPACE ☆☆
The epic outdoor space is a highlight of the property, and I’m particularly proud of it, and generally great all 4 seasons.

After a full day on the slopes, hiking trails, or swimming holes, you can return home to a long soak in the private hot tub, then grill dinner on the gas BBQ. There’s a massive, custom-made 16-person picnic table for dining alfresco (had to be delivered with a crane), a propane fire pit table, and a wood-burning fire pit for roasting marshmallows. The whole area is surrounded by lovely string lights that creates a warm ambiance, allowing us to enjoy the outdoor space long after sunset. The big yard is great for building snow forts, playing yard games, or letting the ids and pups run off some energy.

You will receive a personal access keycode on the day of your check-in. You’ll have private access to the entire house, including the gorgeous indoor spaces, pool table, poker table, workspaces, and full kitchen. Plus, you have a huge outdoor space to enjoy with a hot tub and BBQ grill. I have free, great WiFi, plus multiple workstations for all the digital nomads in the group. All the TVs are equipped with Apple TV, and there are several AirPlay speakers, including a portable one.

There is plenty of parking in the driveway for at least 7 cars (please follow parking layout in guide), and I also have a level 2 EV charger for anyone who needs it. I hope you love the home as much as I do!

Dogs (up to 2) are welcome for a fee of $50. It should be charged automatically when you book if you specify you’re bringing a pet, but let me know if it isn’t and we’ll take care of it. Any other pets on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out.

Vehicle access: The place is just off of the main road (0.3 miles). The main road is generally kept very clean and quickly plowed during snowstorms. The road that the house is on is pretty flat and the driveway is, too. I also have sand barrels at both ends of the driveway for added traction just in case, but I’ve never needed to use it. Most people would be fine with a 2-wheel drive car to get into and out of the house, but some of the places you might go to in the area may not be maintained as well, especially during winter storms. For this reason, I recommend to anyone coming to the area to come in an AWD car if possible.

I coordinate it for the day before if possible so that it is ready by when you check in, but it`s not always possible. If you`d specifically like for me to drain, sanitize, and refill before your stay even if it`s not `due` for the service, let me know and I can coordinate it if you cover the maintenance people`s charge.

The house has blazing fast Wi-Fi, so if you need to stream or work you are good to go. You will be LESS THAN A MILE from Mount Snow’s north access road, or you can be at Stratton in 20 minutes, Okemo in 1 hour or even Killington in 1 ¼ hours. In 15 minutes, you can take in the shops and restaurants in Wilmington, and if you bring your bikes you can go for miles exploring Dover on the bike path after a scenic ride down Blue Brook Road. Cozy up and watch your favorite show or movie downstairs or in the master bedroom or escape into a novel in one of the reading nooks. Leave some chili in the crockpot in the morning and come home to your dinner. This house exudes good energy and warmth. It is a perfect home-away-from-home!

Pull into the driveway and breathe in all 3 acres of space. Walk into the house and unload in the mud room where you can shake off your shoes, hang up your coats and ditch your dirty clothes in the washer. Unwind in the open concept downstairs where you can hang out in great natural light thanks to the floor to ceiling windowed area in the front that opens to the front deck. Recline or snuggle on the couch to chat or watch the large Roku TV (DVD as well) or setup your computer, a game, snacks, and beverages on the large counter-bar. There is a bathroom with a shower on the main level for convenience. Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms: one has a queen and a twin, across are bunk beds with a trundle, and at the end of the hallway you have the main suite (queen) with a reading nook, Roku TV, deck, and bathroom with shower. Corn-hole, multiple board games, puzzles and books are provided.

The rental itself was very utilitarian in terms of furnishings and comfortable amenities. We are a family of 5 and were up for three days of skiing. The property had very limited storage for clothing or other items, which one would expect more of for a ski house. There were no bedroom closets or dressers; just one small end table in each bedroom with a couple of drawers. There were no top / flat sheets on any of the beds - just a fitted sheet and comforter which raised questions about cleanliness. The bathroom was in need of updating and not nearly enough towels were provided and those available were mismatched, old, and some with bleach stains on them. There was one hand towel provided. The couch also was quite small - our family of 5 could not fit and if two were couples were staying, all four adults would not be able to fit. I will say, that the property manager was a pleasure to work with. Communication was top-notch, and anything that we needed was answered immediately. Check-in process was easy, and although the battery died on the digital keypad during the stay, the property manager, Tes, was there quite quickly to replace the batteries and allow us to then lock the unit up. He also replaced firewood for us during our stay when it ran low. Overall, service was great but the property did not meet expectations."

The property is on an easily accessible private road. There is plenty of parking and can also accommodate a snowmobile trailer setup. Access the VAST right from the house and ride to restaurants/bars or head out to Somerset Reservoir.
Mount Snow is only a few minutes away for winter sports or golfing and many other events in the summer.
Bed sheets, pillow cases & bath towels are NOT provided. Renters have to bring their own. We do have comforters & pillows there.
The space:
This is a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath chalet with a loft (above the dining room) and there is a “tv room” addition. One bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has two bunk beds (full/twin - twin/twin setup). The loft has two twin beds. In the addition, there is a pull out sleeper style couch. The living room has two futons for additional sleeping(full size). The kitchen is fully equipped & has an island and stools. There is also a dining area with a table for 5. There is one Smart TV in the addition, but we do not have cable. We do have wifi. There is a tv in the queen bedroom that is not a smart tv (we do have a dvd player or you can bring your own amazon fire stick or something like that to try and plug in. Same with the small tv by the lamp that is in the other living area by the kitchen)
Other things to note:
We have no real driveway. Just park anywhere in the front yard. There is plenty of parking even for snowmobile trailer setups.

If you end up staying during a snow storm, you might be asked to move vehicles to allow our plow company to move snow.

While we do have the fastest wifi they offer in the area, please note it is not the best or most reliable!

Mount Snow is a few minutes down the road.

Stratton Mountain is about 20 minutes away.

The town of Wilmington is about 15 minutes away and has shopping and many dining options.

The town of Manchester is 45 minutes away and has the Manchester Designer Outlets.

Jamaica State Park is 25 minutes away.

Talk about an adventure! Not only is this newly renovated house great for vacation, but you might also want to live here when your trip is over. This 7 BD 3 BR is what you need for any vacation you want or need.

The first stop of this tour is directly in the living room. Of course, you won't want to stay inside when you see what's offered outside, but if you do, you can enjoy a peaceful night in the comfortable living space watching Game Of Thrones, The Bachelor, or whatever you prefer. And right behind you is the kitchen for your late-night snack or early pancake breakfast; we'll leave that one up to you.

Next are the 7 bedrooms you get to choose from, and whichever one you choose, know you are going to be comfortable. Alone, with your kids, and even with your partner, you will have space for what you need, and if not, throw them in a different bedroom because we have plenty to share with you!

After you're done being lazy in bed, you have many options to choose from. First, I would recommend going for a little stroll to the stream in the backyard, which is the most calming atmosphere you can find in the US. It might sound crazy that there is more to offer, but there are Bar & Grills, bakeries, and coffee places within a couple of miles of this place, so you won't run out of places to go if you decide to leave the fortress.

Who doesn't love s'mores? I know I do, and would you look at that we have a firepit for you and the friends/family right off the patio stairs. Personally, I prefer to put Reeses in my s'mores, but you can buy Hershey's in there too. I'm just telling you what's better.

Also, if you forgot your shampoo and conditioner, we got some extras. We also have individually wrapped toothbrushes, razors and qtips in the even you forgot to pack them! You can use these right after you get out of the sauna because we all know that's what you need to end the adventurous day. And to do so, all you have to do is hit that reserve button.

- "Even before we left for our vacation, our Host Heather was amazing. She would contact me to make sure we had everything we needed beforehand to make sure our week went flawless. She was so quick to respond to any questions I had. When we pulled into the private driveway, we were greeted with a forest of beautiful evergreen trees that surrounded the property. Then, we opened the door and found this amazing beautiful pristine house. This is one of the cleanest homes I have ever stayed at. Heather thought of everything and we lacked for nothing. Just listening to the little babbling brook on the property and looking at the trees was the most peace and relaxation anyone could hope for. There were two fire pits on the property and we used the one nearest to the house, there was plenty of cut wood available for our use. The other fire pit was down a cleared path thru the woods and right by the water and although we did not make a fire, we sat around it just to listen to the water or go wading. We were private and secluded but not isolated, there were some great restaurants in the area and some antique shops, and we took many walks and saw some horses down the road on a farm. Our dogs loved this house and their outside time and our family couldn’t have asked for anything better. It was such a pleasure staying here and we were so sad to leave. Thank you so much Heather for letting us stay at your home, you are an amazing Host. If I could give you more than 5 stars, I would."
