Our apartment is a non-smoking home, located on a non-smoking* property. The apartment is recently constructed within our newly constructed garage. Private entrance in side yard. Apartment consists of one bedroom with queen size bed and closet, full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and bar style seating, living room with sofa bed and a full bathroom which contains a washer and dryer. The space also contains an additional sleeping loft with a queen bed. It is new and has a cozy yet contemporary feel!

Cozy barn apartment in the lovely village of Richmond, Vermont. Walk to brewery, bakery, restaurants, market, playground and trails. Close to Burlington, and Ski Resorts. The apartment is located in a barn that is attached to our home. The buildings are approximately 125 years old and are brimming with rustic charm & character. That being said we have recently begun the daunting task of renovating the exterior of the property. As a result there are currently missing shutters and facia boards as well as peeling paint but by next summer we hope to have everything complete. So for now please excuse our appearance.

The apartment is on the second floor of our barn which has a private entrance with a key code door lock. There are many unique features that were original to the architecture such as exposed barn beams. The bedroom has a queen sized bed which is very comfy according to our guests. You'll find plenty of pillows and blankets for the cool Vermont summer mornings or the blustery winter nights. In the kitchen you'll find all of the essentials for preparing your own meals, which is easy to do since the market is only a short walk away. Maybe you'll decided to bring back breakfast treats from the bakery around the corner and enjoy a cup of fresh ground local organic coffee which is provided to start your stay off right. You'll find organic 1/2+1/2 in the fridge and local maple syrup and honey in the cabinet. In the living room there is a pellet stove that keeps the space very toasty in the winter and provides a cozy romantic ambience. A new sofa with a queen sized memory foam mattress. There is also a smart HDTV with Netflix, Hulu, and HBO GO. There is no cable but once you're here if you find a channel on the TV that you would like to access just let us know and we'll gladly download it for you. The bathroom is bright and cheery and is stocked with lots of towels, a first aid kit and a blow dryer.

Because we live on site we are usually available in a moments notice to help guests navigate their stay. We enjoy greeting our guests and meeting new people but will happily give you lots of space and privacy. We also love the outdoors and can easily point you in the right direction when it comes to skiing, hiking, biking or swimming. We are about a mile from the highway so in a matter of minutes you can be in Burlington but we have plenty of live music and great beer or food here in our village.

Located 1 mile from interstate 89 and 20 minutes south of Burlington it is also conveniently located 15-45 minutes from several ski resorts including Stowe, Smuggler’s Notch, Mad River & Sugar Bush. The closest being Cochran’s and Bolton Valley, both family favorites. Plowed, paved sidewalks will lead you from our village location to a ski shop, a bike shop, 2 restaurants, a brewery (w/great food), a bakery & a fully stocked, local grocery all located less than a mile walk from apartment.

Our family lives on site and are easily reached with any questions.

During your stay you'll be able to park in our driveway and have complete and private access to the entire apartment. There are no other visitor sharing accommodations at the time of your reservation.

May-until the snow flies guests are able to park on the street in front of our house or in the driveway but once there is snow there is a parking ban and street parking is prohibited. The town does plow the sidewalks in the winter so you can still walk to the local business.

One block from the lakefront bike path and Lake Champlain, this hip, downtown bungalow is right in the midst of it all. Inside our lovingly renovated 1860s historical home, enjoy the feel of Tuscany in the open living room/dining space or large kitchen, or find inner peace in the groovy yoga/meditation room, also with a lake view. A large bedroom is upstairs. The bed is super-comfortable, and upstairs windows all have black-out shades. The sole bathroom (1880s style) with tub is located on the first floor. This the lake side of a two story duplex with friendly neighbors.
This 1100 square foot apartment works best for a couple, but a third person can sleep comfortably on the pull-out loveseat couch in the meditation room (note this room has a bead curtain rather than a door). Come hang out in the woods! Situated on 6 acres but only 4min off the highway we are in a great spot to access all VT has to offer. Access climbing, skiing, swimming holes, and Burlington all within 20 minutes. Stowe is a 35 minute drive.

Grab a hammock and hike to the top of the yard to relax in the trees. Have coffee on the deck and listen to the birds. In the winter the wood stove keeps things super cozy (we have hooks nearby to dry out wet ski gear). Come with your kids and they can sled the hill right outside the back door.

We have a fully equipped kitchen, a full bathroom with a washer and dryer, and the apartment is very bright and cheery. The bedroom has blackout curtains if you had too good of a time at one of the nearby award winning breweries. The big windows face a wildflower patch. As of mid July 2025 there will be a fire pit so bring your marshmallows!

Built in the 1899, this centrally located triplex has the old feel charm with some nice improvements. We have curated the space to feel warm and inviting, so that you can enjoy your weekend or a longer stay. Local VT art, historic maps and guides; all play tribute to Winooski and VT. We've provided warm lighting, brand new memory foam mattress with super soft bedding, and a bedside wireless phone charger, so you can unpack and unwind. The bedroom offers a queen bed and dresser, and lots of additional closet space, and blackout curtains. The living area has a cozy couch, accompanied by a Smart TV with streaming services, fun reads to pick through as you sit back and relax. The kitchen is fully equipped with a coffee maker, blender, toaster, oven ect (all new appliances). We also offer complimentary coffee and tea. The unit also has salt/pepper and olive oil. There is a big kitchen pantry that you can unpack your groceries in and hang your coats. You can also lock your bikes up on the private patio out the front door.

Due to our location being centrally located to downtown Winooski, E Spring Street can be busy with traffic and cause some additional noise. The city of Winooski is also 10 min from the BTV airport, so you do hear planes overhead occasionally.

In addition, once or twice per day on weekdays you might hear the F-35 jets going overhead. These are quite loud, but typically this noise lasts around 90 seconds per flight.

The space
Please look at the photos, so you know what to expect! I have included photos of the few small things that have not been completed. There are also some components that are older, such as the kitchen cabinets and the bathroom door, which I tried to show in the photos.

***PLEASE NOTE: the apartment is on the third floor. it occupies the entire third floor and it is a private apartment. However, there is no locking door before the stairs up to the kitchen and bathroom. There ARE locking doors on both bedrooms. Because you are the only guests on the third floor you should not see anyone else.

The kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, drip coffee maker, knife and cutting board, a few pots and pans, silverware, corkscrew, can opener, electric range which works great, and I do not recommend that you use the oven but it works.

Apartment is a small and cozy one bedroom unit. It has all the amenities you will need for you stay. It has cable for TV with a lot of channels if you like to watch TV. Wi-Fi is available. Kitchen is useable for you at anytime.

Free parking in back. We have Security Cameras and bright flood lights in the parking lot only. You will need the enter the code at the front door to get your keys. Please pull in and do not block garage doors. Plenty of free private parking.

Other things to note
There is a binder on the table as you come in, with some minor instructions on how to use certain things within the apartment. Also binder has travel info on where to go to eat, or stuff to do in and around Burlington area. It is a tourist guide with information. Recently we added some security cameras in the parking lot only, with bright flood lights for safety.

Riverwatch is a renovated farm house with access to the Lamoille River and only 20 minutes from Burlington. The apartment is cozy with views of the river, gardens and our very sweet goats, ducks, and chickens. Close to the local ski resorts and Champlain Bikeway. Private access to the river for canoeing, kayaking, or fishing. Private yoga classes are available on the docks or in the garden. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway.
