There is one bedroom with a queen bed and a queen pull out couch in the living room which offers accommodations for up to four people. The full bathroom has a tub/shower and washer/dryer for your use.

The living room has a Smart TV, complimentary Wifi and cell service for most carriers.

There is a full kitchen equipped with a range, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and a full compliment of cookware making it easy to prepare you own meals.

There are several miles of trails in close by for hiking, walking and biking.

For skiers we're close to Stowe, Smugglers Notch and Jay Peak which offers several options for both alpine and Nordic skiing.

Guest's enjoy visiting Ben and Jerry's, Cold Hollow Cider Mill, Boyden Valley Winery and many other Vermont attractions, which are within a 30 minute drive.

We have several of Vermont's most popular breweries within a few miles of us to include The Alchemist, Trapp Brewery, Rock Art, Lost Nation, Ten Bends and Hill Farmstead. We keep a couple growlers available for guests to use so you can bring back your favorites.

For water lovers we're close to the Green River and Waterbury Reservoirs, Lake Elmore and Lake Eden all of which offer great opportunity for swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding.

We also close to the Vast Trail system for snowmobiles and being avid motorcyclist we can help plan some great area rides for guest who prefer to travel on two or three wheels.

There is a great BBQ about a mile away, Black Diamond BBQ. And pizza delivery is available through Pizza on Main which is excellent.

The area also has many excellent dining options and we're happy to make recommendations and discuss what's available.

We live in the attached house and are available for any questions and to make recommendations for area activities, dining options and more. We occasionally have guests staying in the house as well.

If you do not have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, park in the upper parking lot in the Winter. When parking in the lower parking lot, it is limited to one vehicle. Parking for the lower unit is on the right side of the lot.

Located in the gentle town of Waterbury Center, in-between Waterbury and Stowe. Upon arrival to the upper parking lot you will be greeted by a full life antique marble statue, after Antonio Canova, of the 3 graces, Mythological figures of Euphrosyne, Aglaea and Thalia - Circa 1860.
The property sits just above the Waterbury Center Day Use swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking area with the access just down the road with canoe and kayak rentals available. Or you can use our canoe and 2 kayaks going through the sweet, wooded path to the point. An added attraction during foliage season are boat tours just below on the Waterbury Reservoir.
There is a nice sledding hill to the left of the house and next to the pond in the winter. And in the summer, you can swim off the point for a more private setting, just a short walk from the apartment.
It is not unusual to see a bear, turkeys or deer on the lower property, with the ponds supplying drinking water to wildlife all year round.
Just a 20-minute ride to Stowe, Sugarbush, Mad River and Bolton ski areas with spectacular Vermont country scenery along the way.

Also, the location was great with a grocery store very close, and Waterbury was so close and had a good restaurant selection. This is a unique Vermont location. We are right next to Mt. Mansfield and almost in the Green Mountain State Forest but with easy access to the city of Burlington. Short drives to Smugglers Notch and Bolton Valley Ski Areas. Some of the best hiking in VT in the Green Mountains is right here - Mt Mansfield (the tallest peak in VT) is in our backyard. Excellent cross country skiing right here- local trails on the west side of Mt. Mansfield or other areas in our neighborhood. Easy drive to Lake Champlain and Burlington for great night life. Scenic bike rides on local roads with views of the mountains.

(Note regarding access to Stowe. We are on the West Side of Mt. Mansfield and Stowe Resort is on the east. In summer the drive is about 30 to 40 minutes via Rte 108. In the winter, Rte 108 is closed and Stowe must be accessed through I-91 and Waterbury which is about 45 mins to an hour drive.)

On the Northfield side of the mountain are the 3 covered bridges that inspired our name. You will pass under them if you come up the mountain from the Northfield side.
Norwich University is on that side of the mountain. (Norwich U. is the first private military school in the country and home of N.U.'s famous Hockey games.)
The capital city of Montpelier, with many delicious eateries and interesting shops is just 12 miles up the road.
Many towns with real old-fashioned Vermont flavor: Northfield, Barre, Plainfield, Randolph, and more can be explored from this side of the 'hill'.

Heading west off the mountain you'll find:
Sugarbush / Mad River / and Stowe ski areas close by (20-40 min.)
Waterbury, famous for their assortment of micro-brewery beers, many great restaurants, and attractions such as Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream factory and the Cold Hollow Cider Mill are over this way in a 20-30 minute drive.
And you would head this way to visit Burlington, Vermont's largest town, on beautiful Lake Champlain (home of the University of Vermont) about 50 miles away.

The space
The Riverton Suite includes a king bed, large closets, a full bathroom, a full kitchen stocked with pots, pans, plates, bowls, glasses and utensils, a small dining area that seats 4, and a living space with a full sofa, arm chair, and a Roku TV with guest mode where you can easily and temporarily sign-in to all of your personal streaming services. There is a designated work space with a desk and chair. If you have a small child we do have a pack and play available in the closet at all times. Enjoy an incredible mountain view from the living room and feel free to enjoy the back yard where you have access to a fire pit and chairs. Primary access is through the front door. You also have a private rear door to access the back yard space from the kitchen.

Montpelier is the quintessential Vermont town. We love it. Smack dab in the middle of the state, I have lived here over 30 years. My partner, Patti, was born and raised in Vermont. Our house is close to downtown and easy walking distance to everything.

There are two bedrooms. One has a queen bed, the other two twin beds. If you need more sleeping space, there is a futon mattress available to roll out in the living room. Private, gorgeous with a sunny and spacious living area. Our capacity is 4 people total. (This includes babies and toddlers)

Full kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, toaster, and cooking utensils. (No dishwasher). There is coffee, sugar and filters provided. We are very close to a grocery store, so you can see what is in the refrigerator and then go get provisions.

Bathroom is a full tub and shower.

This is a newly renovated space combining late 19th century charm with modern conveniences.

Right in downtown Montpelier there's no need to drive to enjoy the multiple restaurants and entertainment. Plus we're 30 minutes from all the skiing. Were centrally located in the heart of Vermont.

The space
This is a renovated 1 bedroom space by a couple with 35 years of experience in hospitality industry including owning an award winning restaurant in SOCAL, Airline international purser and hotel development. Based on our extensive world travel we tried to create an asthetically pleasing and architecturally interesting space that could be found in NY, Paris or Montreal. Enjoy our 900 sq ft modern apartment that preserves the old world charm of the 1830's building with touches like a newly installed tin ceiling and antique fixtures as well as brand new furniture and efficient appliances. Enjoy the new Samsung Q60 55" smart television connected to a fiber optic wifi. There is a washer/dryer, four different ways to make coffee; Miele espresso, stove top espresso, tradition coffee maker or a french press. The day doesn't start without caffeine. All the art in the space has been collected during our travels around the globe. The lighting fixtures and bathroom/kitchen finishes are from Restoration Hardware, painstakingly recreating the victorian era. This is a bright quiet downtown aptartment within a two minute walk of all Montpelier has to offer.

We just upgraded the internet to fiber optic and are testing at/over 900mpbs download/upload

We've paused renovations (some unfinished floor & trim) for the 2024 Solar Eclipse and have plenty of eclipse glasses.

This open-plan apartment+enclosed porch in our hillside house has mountain skyline views through trees. See the eclipse from the backyard, walk to open fields, or bike to rail trail. Backcountry & X-C ski (fresh powder, 4/5/24), swim, MTB, and hiking are a walk/bike away. The kitchen is stocked - ready for pizza, sushi & pasta making. Kid-friendly, pet-friendly, host on-site.

A uniquely renovated farm house on the Mad River in Moretown. A quiet, restful environment surrounded by a 150 acre land bank. Hiking, biking, x-country skiing, snowshoeing, swimming, and outdoor activities right outside the door. Centrally convenient to Waitsfield (6mi), Waterbury (9mi), and Montpelier (13mi).

What folks seem to enjoy the most is the light & airy feel of the apartment. Folks spend alot of time on the outdoor porch. Also, although very private you can walk to town within 5 minutes.
The house is 175 years old.

Our home sits in the heart of the historic Waterbury village. It is a Victorian, full of historical charm and warm light. There is off-street parking and a side porch in which to enjoy a cup of coffee. It is in easy walking distance to restaurants, bars, small shops, a grocery store, and pharmacy. We live right off of interstate 89, exit 10, the crossroads between Sugarbush Valley, Stowe, Montpelier, and Burlington. Outdoor entertainment is accessible in all these areas.

The space
Our guests are welcome to view the gardens and take photos. The guests’ outdoor space has a lovely porch with a bistro table set to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or relax in the afternoon with a cool drink.

Everything one would need or want is a minutes walk to downtown. The grocery store, restaurants, beer pubs, and shopping are right in our backyard.

Lovely 2-bedroom close to everything, Potter’s Place is the perfect hub for your stay in Vermont. Only 30-40 minutes to Stowe, Bolton, Sugarbush, and plenty of amazing Nordic trails, the space provides a welcoming retreat after a day of skiing, hiking, or biking. If biking is your thing, the apartment backs up to the Cross Vermont Trail, and is a great jumping off point for adventure. The apartment is also a short (10-15 minute) walk to downtown and all the shops on Main and State Street.

The space
The apartment is located above Green House Pottery, a working ceramics studio and gallery. The apartment is located on the top two floors of the building, with the kitchen, living room, dining room and bathroom on the first floor, and two bedrooms on the second floor. In addition to the two beds upstairs, the living room also features a queen-sized sleeper sofa.

The apartment has heating in each room, an electric fireplace, and plenty of blankets, but It can get chilly in the Fall and Winter (and Spring) so we recommend that you bring warm house shoes if you are traveling when the weather is forecasted to be chilly.

In addition to the interior stairs leading to the bedroom, please note that you must climb exterior stairs to get to the apartment, as well.

Other things to note
I am a potter, and many of the details you will see inside the apartment (including the bathroom floor tiles, the kitchen backsplash tiles, and all of the serving ware) were made by me. These pieces are meant to be handled and enjoyed, so please make yourself comfortable and if you are traveling with kids, don’t worry. Porcelain is surprisingly strong, and meant to be lived with—not tiptoed around.
