Our cozy farmhouse is nestled into the west slope of Pleasant Valley, with a commanding view of majestic Mt. Mansfield. In the midst of 180 very private acres of pristine woodlands and breathtaking mountain views, the bedrooms are cozy and the kitchen/dining and living rooms are open space, light and airy. Built originally in 1865, recent renovations ensure everything is clean, solid and functionally sound without sacrificing the country feel of an old Vermont farmhouse. Decorated in warm colors, each room has its own charm and character. The master bedroom is on the ground floor in its own “wing,” with two beds, a queen and a twin, and a private full bath. The other two bedrooms are upstairs and share a full bathroom – the one to the right has four twins; the one to the left has a queen and a twin. We have one child-size roll-away and one crib. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for cooking gourmet feasts. Our washer and dryer ensure that you are ready for anything, whether you brought enough clothes or not.

Underhill, Jeffersonville and the surrounding area offer an abundance of distractions for every taste. Outdoor enthusiasts will find adventure in exploring the network of trails right outside our door, whether for cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, sledding, toboganning, mountain biking, hiking or simply walking (we have some equipment, and you can rent snowshoes and bikes for the day or week at our local stores). Underhill’s got one of the best sledding hills anywhere, and that’s just a five minute drive. If you prefer to take walks on the woods trails or on beautiful country roads, you’ll be stunned by the beauty and majesty of the unspoiled land and Mt. Mansfield.

This treasure is a place to get away from the hustle, to fill your lungs with truly fresh air, and to “re-charge your batteries.” With our own pond right off the deck, swimming (summer) and skating (winter) are available on impulse. Our larder is loaded with teas, coffees, hot chocolate, and other cooking/eating essentials, which you are welcome to use, though we ask that they be replaced if usage is heavy. Our caretaker and housekeeper will be happy to pitch in if you’d like their help while at the house. When we say 'vacation house,' we mean it!

As for skiing, Smuggler’s Notch Ski Resort (known to locals as “Smuggs”, only 15-20 minutes away) offers groomed cross-country ski trails, a skating arena, and excellent downhill skiing and snow-boarding. Stowe is just 45 minutes away (or you can ski to it from Smuggs) and Jay Peak is about the same. If variety is a compulsion, Sugarbush and Mad River are about an hour south.

For those seeking more pastoral or cerebral activities, there is no lack of beautiful vistas for the photographer and artist; there are antique shops, art galleries, farmers markets, restaurants, theatres, and shops all within a 40 minute radius, including Stowe village, Jeffersonville and Vermont’s largest city, Burlington. And the turn of seasons in fall is utterly spectacular as Vermont’s legendary sugar maples put on their riotous display of leafy colors.

As the sun sets and the incredibly clear sky shows off a plethora of stars and constellations, you can come home to relax and toast your toes in front of the big stone fireplace, far from the noise and hectic pace of resort villages with their condos, dense living and commercial traffic. Put on soft music and stretch out, and rest your tired muscles in this serene and private setting!

The condo is in a multi-unit building steps below Bolton Valley's main ski lodge, and one mile up the road from The Ponds wedding and event facilities. NOTE: we are not affiliated with BV resort; we are in an independently-owned condo association.

SKIING AND HIKING TRAILS are just out the back door; The Quad and other ski lifts just out the front door. But if you prefer to stay inside and enjoy the view from the picture windows, you can hunker down in the cozy living room, where you'll find some cable TV, video/DVD, books, internet, and board games. It is in a quiet part of the resort if you just want to meditate or watch birds in summer; leaves change in fall; or snow piling up to the window. Who knows, a moose might even walk by.

(PLEASE NOTE: Barbecue and grilling near the building are not allowed. No charcoal grills allowed on site. Our place is not suitable for children under 4 years old, due to small game parts, cleaning supplies, bunk beds, two gas fireplaces, etc.. Pets are also not allowed in our unit, sorry!)

If you request to book, please add a little bit of information about your group and why you are coming to Bolton, so that we can make sure our place is a good fit for you. We always remind people that our place is in a different place than Stowe so there are no surprises about the location.

In the interest of everyone's health, please do not check in if you have symptoms like fever, fatigue, short breath, flu. We clean thoroughly between guests and leave the unit empty for 2 days between guests.

SPORTS CENTER is open most months, with heated indoor pool, gym, hot tub, Nordic center-- less than 100 yds away. Pay a family day use fee to BV for the facilities; check the website for prices.

KITCHEN is fully equipped and includes full-size oven, microwave, toaster oven, crockpot, dishwasher, blender.
Basics are found on the shelves (spices, sugar, oil, mustard, pasta, DRIP coffee, tea...) but you can buy groceries in WATERBURY or RICHMOND, Vermont for your particular cooking needs.

RESTAURANTS - If you don't want to cook, the on-site cafeteria has very good prepared soups and sandwiches till the afternoon.
A small grocery has extended hours on site with local beers and wines, snacks, muffins, and such. There are a couple of seasonal restaurants on-site including a family diner-tavern, pizza bar, the Sports Center snack bar, and breakfast dining room open for hours that depend on the season (see BV site for specific hours).
Waterbury and Richmond both have family-friendly restaurants and pubs (either one is 10 miles away).

ACCESSIBILITY: Condo is at the end of a packed gravel sidewalk and one step to deck, if you park on the side of the building. Not officially accessible for wheelchairs.

While we are very close to Stowe Mountain Resort as the crow flies, we're actually on the *other side* of Mount Mansfield. In the summer, driving to Stowe takes 30 min via 108 to the north. In the winter, you have to go south to I-89 which takes 60 min. From our house, the closest downhill skiing option is Smugglers Notch Resort, which is 20 min away. If you're just interested in the town of Stowe, it's a 45-minute drive whether you go north or south.

SURROUNDINGS
Our 100-acre property is mostly wooded and borders Underhill State Park to the east. The two main trailheads for Mt. Mansfield are just a 5 minute drive from the house. Feel free to explore the property but keep in mind that there are two other homes in the vicinity with full-time residents: a cottage across the large driveway from the main house (inhabited by the property owners) and our neighbors' house just up the hill from our pond.

BEDROOM HIGHLIGHTS
There are two sleeping areas at opposite ends of the house. Two bedrooms (queen and king beds) are at the northern end of the house, with a shared bathroom featuring a field stone wall, tile, and walk-in shower. The southern end of the house features a bunkroom and 2 queen bedrooms, one with a twin trundle bed. There is a shared bathroom for these rooms, featuring a Vermont slate floor, vessel sink, and tub/shower. Also at this end of the house is the Master bedroom with king Tempur-pedic bed and a large en suite bathroom with walk-in shower and sweeping view of Mount Mansfield. All the bedrooms have been recently renovated and each has lovely linens and quilts.

INTERIOR HIGHLIGHTS
The interior features cathedral ceilings, a large living room with field stone fireplace, and a field stone wall in the dining area, as well as wide oak and brick floors. Lovely views delight visitors from every window.

An open kitchen/dining area is at the center of the house. The 12-person birdseye maple dining room table has a sweeping view of Mt. Mansfield. This open area is wonderful for group cooking and socializing while enjoying the colors of a magnificent sunset.

There is a den off the kitchen with a second fireplace, sofa bed, and a second TV - nice for movies, cozy chats, or quiet reading. This space is also wonderful for children's movies, board games, or a quick escape from the bustle of the household.

We also take great pride in a very clean house - all the rooms are cleaned professionally using only all natural products.

OUTDOOR HIGHLIGHTS
The outdoor hot tub is available for soaking, while gazing up at Mt. Mansfield, or the stars.

The pond is stocked with trout yearly and is great for fly-fishing and swimming.

The one acre pond, great for swimming and floating (bring your own please), sandy beach, beautifully landscaped lawns and gardens, and walking/XC skiing (or snowshoe) trails offer both activity and quiet, suitable for the energetic and the serene.

Two very popular Vermont destinations are close: Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory is 30 minutes away, and the Shelburne Museum, a large and fascinating 'living' museum is 45 minutes away. Lake Champlain, UVM, and St. Michaels College are all within easy reach. Hunting is possible in the area but not on the property please. This cozy three bedroom condo is located at the Bolton Valley ski resort nestled in Bolton Valley, Vermont. Depending on the season you choose to come, this is the ideal spot for leaf peeping in the fall, hiking and biking both the cross country and downhill ski trails, 18 holes of frisbee golf, numerous nearby swimming holes in the summer and of course the main attraction of downhill and cross country skiing in the winter months, including night skiing! The back decks look out upon beautiful Bolton mountains where the cross country trails are, while the front of the house looks out upon the downhill ski resort. Our home sleeps 6 comfortably with the option to add a person or two with a pullout couch in the living room. Two full baths keep waits to a minimum for a shower and we are right next door to an indoor sports facility with indoor swimming pool. We carefully clean and disinfect after each visitor following best practices. This is the ideal spot for a family get away!

The property manager checked in on us about the flooding and kept us up to date with some exterior painting that had no negative affect on us. We loved all the windows for letting in that fresh mountain air. We didn’t get to hike much due to the heavy rains but that’s not anyone’s fault and was highly abnormal but it will just make us want to return to see what we missed. Our mountain getaway condo offers an unbeatable location to serve as “home base” for you and your family or friends while you explore the all-season activities that surround it. Bolton Valley (BV) Resort offers year round adventures such as nordic/cross country skiing, alpine and backcountry skiing/snowboarding, snowshoeing, hiking, biking, climbing, swimming (indoor/outdoor pools as well as natural streams/potholes), disc golf, and an indoor sports center.

We are also located just a mile away from the Ponds Wedding Venue.

We offer high speed internet, large screen tv w/roku so you can sign into your streaming apps, board games, and a few puzzles. A balcony is located off the living room that offers great views of the mountains and sunset.

The Kitchen is fully equipped with a full size refrigerator, oven/stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, pots/pans, utensils, plates, etc. A dining area adjoins the kitchen with a table for 5, and additional seating is provided at the breakfast bar. The on-site Deli/grocery offers some basics, while larger grocery stores are located in Richmond or Waterbury. BV also has a few on-site restaurants and a bar for when you don’t feel like cooking (see BV specific site for seasonal hours of operation and menus).

The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, with an en suite full bath and covered balcony. The bunk room has a twin over twin bunk and a twin over full bunk. Linens, pillows, and towels are provided.

The second bath has a standing shower. There is a washer/dryer unit in the second bath and Coin-op laundry is also available within the condo building.

Rates are based on up to 6 person occupancy, and a two night minimum stay is required, and we like to have a day between stays for cleaning. If you are looking for a particular period of time to stay that is currently blocked off please don't hesitate to shoot us a message.

Located between Stowe and Morrisville, this house is nicely located for work and play. It is situated right off the Rt 100 and has a paved driveway so access to the property is very easy. This is a single room in a large farmhouse.

The space
The room is suited for individuals or couples. The room has a brand new queen-sized bed, a desk, a dresser and a closet for your use. This room has good access to WIFI and there is even room enough for yoga! We usually keep a yoga mat in the room or just ask.
Also, the Grace Space is equipped with blackout shades so you can enjoy a great night's sleep.
This bedroom shares a bathroom down the hall with our other Airbnb guest room.

Large Ground Level Apartment in Ranch-Style Home in very quiet cul-de-sac, private entry through garage with beautiful views, very close to downtown Barre (Granite Quarries) , Central Vermont Medical Center (UVM), Montpelier, and Ski Resorts (Stowe, Mad River, Burke Mountain).
