Bayside Getaway is a nicely renovated 2 bedroom year-round vacation cottage located in the heart of Sodus Point, NY offering easy access to everything you love about vacationing here; Sodus Bay, marinas, parks, playgrounds, ice cream stands, restaurants, Lake Ontario, the beach, fishing pier and lighthouses are just steps from the home.

Bayside Getaway will sleep 5 people with a queen bed in the 1st bedroom while the 2nd bedroom has a twin bed and a double bed.

NO SMOKING / NO PETS.

The renovated kitchen includes electric stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker (single pod and 12-cup pot), toaster and all the typical dishes, pots and pans, silverware, etc. (no dishwasher). Some of the other amenities include: 3 Roku smart TVs in living room and both bedrooms, DVD player in living room, collection of assorted DVD movies, basic cable, free wi-fi, board games, laundry washer/dryer, and a 10’ x 16’ deck on the front with seating and gas grill with a view of the bay. There is a backyard fire ring for bonfires and s'mores. The cottage has heat for year-round use and air-conditioning. There are ceiling fans in the 2 bedrooms and living room.

This cottage is adjacent to our larger “Bay View at the Point” vacation home (VRBO #650379) which sleeps up to 15 -- perfect for large family reunions, etc.

An Electric Vehicle charging station is located in the Willow Park Parking lot (opposite the convenience store) and just a short walk from our rental homes.

If you like winter fun, snow mobile trails abound in the area and the bay is highly regarded for ice fishing, or go snowshoeing along the beach/bay or in the nearby parks.

Traveler(s) is/are required to provide their own bed sheets, pillow cases, towels, paper & soap products, and any other items to complete their vacation stay as well as departure cleaning unless otherwise arranged prior.

The Village of Sodus Point includes a historic lighthouse, museum (free summer Sunday concerts on the lawn), fishing pier, several marinas, charter fishing boats, 2 playgrounds, skate park, ball field, public beach and an adorable toddler beach (both with lifeguards), restaurants, ice cream stands, gift shop, church, and convenience market.

Nearby amenities include the beautiful Sodus Bay Heights Golf Course, wineries, Chimney Bluffs State Park (a must see if you've never been there before), farm stands and so much more.

The Cottage is conveniently located directly across from the Sodus Point Lighthouse Museum and park, which leads directly to the sandy beaches on the lake and the bay. The location caters to vacationers that want to be close to downtown and the exciting night life (restaurants, marinas and shopping), yet also desire a private setting for family fun and relaxation. The beautiful view from the cottage includes a panoramic view of Ontario lake and Sodus bay, the sandy beach, pier, and the amazing sunrise and sunsets off the water .
The cottage sleeps 8 guests comfortably. There are two newly renovated full bathrooms, and two bedrooms--one with a queen size bed with a private bathroom, and one with a double and a single bed. One of the great rooms has a queen size pull out bed and there is also a roll-away bed and portable crib available. The eat-in kitchen is large and has all updated appliances. There is a laundry room with a free washer and dryer. There is FREE WIFI, basic cable, and the cottage is air conditioned.

Relax and enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon drinks on either the back or front patios. The sliding glass door off the great room opens onto a beautiful, private back patio with furniture, a grill, a large shaded back yard with a fire pit and picnic table.The front patio also has tables with umbrellas and seating arrangements.

Whether you are a beach bum, fisherman, golfer, wine enthusiast, shopper, or looking for an exciting night life, Sodus Point and Bay will have it all! Visit and hike the fascinating well-known Chimney Bluffs that can be seen from the cottage, and are only a short, scenic car ride away. Book a charter from one of the many Fishing Charter boats and enjoy a day of fishing for salmon, browns, or steelheads. The marinas are plentiful and can help you with renting a motor or sail boat or with docking. The Sodus Bay Golf Course is truly spectacular with its views of the bay below. For those shoppers, you will find antique and specialty shops nearby.

The many restaurants will supply you with not only great food, but an unequaled night life with bands that will play your favorite dance music on the outdoor decks! Tour the wineries on the Lake Ontario Wine Trail, or head to the Finger Lakes Wine Region and enjoy some of New York's famous wines. Directly across the street is the Lighthouse Museum that you can stroll through and take a tour of the historical building and learn about the history of Sodus Point and Bay. The Lighthouse also sponsors free concerts in the park every Sunday afternoon!

Things To Do and Visit in the area also include the many casinos nearby, along with horse tracks and a speedway. There are many golf courses to try and even mini-golf for the little ones! Other outdoor activities include hiking, swimming, boating, tubing and jet skiing, or just relaxing on the beautiful sandy beach, a short one minute walk from your doorstep.

Take a day trip to the beautiful Letchworth State Park, Niagara Falls or to Ithaca to view the waterfalls and the gorges. Other great day trips include the Seabreeze water and amusement park and even the Six Flags theme park at Darien Lake! Also in the area are the Strong Museum/Children's Museum of Play, and the Women's Rights Museum. A must stop would also be the Heluva Good Cheese Store!

This totally renovated cottage is located among 1900's cottages and just steps from everything at the Point. This sweet little abode began life in the early 1900’s as a seasonal cottage, and a few years ago was winterized and now hosts travelers year round.

Mature shade trees and a wonderful lake breeze keep you cool in the summer. **The cottage is well insulated and if needed the window AC Unit works great even on the hottest of days** Fans are also provided. Natural gas heat keeps you toasty warm and cozy in the colder months.

The family room has a large couch(NEW 2017 sleeper) and a love seat and armchair. A Flat screen TV with built in Blu-Ray player with cable and free Wi-Fi, Google Chromecast is also provided.

The newly renovated kitchen features all new appliances, cabinets and finishes. If you want to cook, the kitchen is ready for you with complete cookware and dinnerware. A microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, and a blender are included too. An outside gas grill is also provided.

There is one bedroom, with a queen bed *NEW 2018 Cool Gel Memory Foam Mattress*. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room that sleeps 2 *NEW 2017*as well as a pullout queen sleeper sofa in the sleeping porch.

Step outside and enjoy seating out back, with a beautiful view of the park and the water just a few steps away. There is a NEW 2018 WEBER gas grill, table and chairs. A firepit is also provided (firewood is available in town). A short 5 minute walk across the park brings you to the restaurants and clubs on the Point. A 2 minute walk from the front door takes you to the lake beach where campfires are permitted. The Public beach is just down from there as well.

And there is plenty to do nearby…Sodus Point is a dining, boating and fishing mecca. There are 2 lighthouses, a museum (free summer Sunday concerts on the lawn 2PM), fishing pier, several marinas, boat rentals, charter fishing boats, 2 playgrounds, skate park, ball field, really nice public beach(with lifeguards), multiple restaurants (open late), ice cream stands, gift shop, church, and convenience market.

Take a 10 minute drive west to our hometown, Pultneyville, and you’ll find the Pultneyville Deli & Up Pub, The Pultneyville Harbor Grille, an Art Gallery, museum, antique shop, churches, and beautiful Pultneyville Harbor.

Palmyra is 25 minutes south.

Cute Cottage on Sodus Bay with 2 bedrooms 1 bath. This cottage is separate from the main house and you have access to lawn in front of cottage and small beach. Also there is a dock to tie your boat up to or a public launch nearby. One bedroom with 1 queen bed and 2nd bedroom has a bunk bed with twin over double. Also we have a rollaway for that extra person you would like to bring! Sodus point is known for its great restaurants and bars. You can walk to town in 7 minutes. Kids can feel safe going to town to get ice cream or to visit the park. Also close by is Sodus Point Beach which is great for long walks along the lake and pier. Great cottage for fisherman and families. Come in the winter for some great ice fishing! Use of 2 kayaks with property.

New Property in 2024. This three season cottage is the perfect spot for the whole family to enjoy Sodus bay and the golf course. Enjoy the view and sounds of the water from your private deck, only steps away from the cooling waters of Sodus Bay. A dock is available for 1-2 boats. If a view of the greens are what you crave , move to the other side of the house to relax at the edge of the 11th fairway on Sodus Bay Heights Golf Club. This is a public course but afternoon tee times should be booked well in advance.

Inside feels like a cozy log cabin with its knotty pine, large stone chimney, gas fireplace and water view. In the living room, there is plenty of seating to cozy up by the fire, soak up the tranquility of the water or its lights during the evening, get lost in a good book or share a movie. with loved ones. There is a huge master bedroom and bath on the main floor. Kitchen is fully equipped with paper products, condiments and spices. A spiral staircase leads to three additional bedrooms and full bath. For your convenience, clean sheets and bath towels are provided for all beds. If evenings get too hot, AC window units are installed in the bed rooms.

The Jameson Bay Inn is a completely remodeled cottage which sits on Sodus Bay. This upscale cottage has ample parking, all of the amenities your family may need while on vacation, and gorgeous views of Sodus Bay. The large master bedroom even has views of Lake Ontario! The Jameson Bay Inn includes dock space for a boat, jetskis, and/or kayaks - great for fishing! There is also a beautiful patio only steps away from the water where you can enjoy watching boats and wildlife.

The space
The Jameson Bay Inn has cable and free Wi-Fi. There are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The cottage has a kitchen with modern appliances, four bar stools, and a small table for two. There is also a living room with a couch and recliner, large TV, fireplace, and absolutely gorgeous Bay views. There is a full bathroom (with double shower heads) on the first floor close to two of the three bedrooms. The largest bedroom (king bed) is upstairs and has a en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi tub. This also where the washer and dryer are located. The queen bed is downstairs next to the bedroom with a full size bed. This gives families plenty of options and privacy.

The Jameson Bay Inn has a kitchen complete with all of the items necessary to prepare meals during your stay. It includes pots and pans, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, knife block, cutting boards, glassware, bar ware, and serving dishes.

The kitchen also is equipped with a Kuerig coffee maker. Please bring your own k-cups!

The outside spaces are equally as nice! The large stamped concrete patio overlooking the bay includes a table with four chairs, two extra chairs to relax in, and a gas grill. On the side of the house is a covered and private porch. There are two chairs here and it's perfect for coffee in the mornings and cocktails in the evening. There is a dock so bring your water toys, bathing suits, and fishing poles!

There is a small yard perfect for yard games at the cottage. Feel free to bring your own!

The Cabin has a rustic, log cabin feel with a spacious interior that sleeps 15, and it's perfect for large gatherings. The house is a 2-minute walk to the beach for a beautiful sunset view, and it's a short walk to the nearby restaurants and bars. The backyard has a fire pit and two gas grills, and it backs up to a softball field. Bring mitts, a ball, and a bat for a pick-up game!

The space
With its open floor plan and central air, The Cabin is great for entertaining in the evenings or working on a puzzle with the kids. The first floor living space has a 3-seat kitchen island, a 6-8 person dining room table, and a gas fireplace with a TV and seating.

Guest access
After booking The Cabin, we'll give you a 4-digit code to the keypad door before you arrive, and then you'll have access to the full house—all 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, full laundry and kitchen.

Two gas grills are available for use in the backyard with some grill tools available. Propane is the guest's responsibility and there is typically 1-2 half tanks. If necessary, additional propane can be purchased at the gas station across the softball field.

Firewood for the backyard fire pit is also available for purchase at any roadside stands coming into town and at the gas station across the softball field.

Pillows, bedding, towels, cooking utensils, dishware, and some cooking/cleaning products are provided. Please plan to bring your own bath soaps and additional paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, bug spray, sunscreen, laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, and any other products you might need during your stay. We tried to think of everything, but if you have questions about what is available, let us know!

Other things to note
The Cabin is equipped with WiFi. The living room has a Blu-Ray player (some movies provided) and an HDMI cable. Some of the bedrooms have TVs with Roku Streaming Players (for Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime).

We are pleased to welcome you to beautiful, historic Sodus Point. With breathtaking views of Sodus Bay and Lake Ontario, this newly renovated 4 bedroom, 2 full bath cottage is located on the highly sought after Greig Street.
Leave the car behind as restaurants, ice cream, coffee, paddlesports, and playgrounds are just a short 5 minute walk away. Enjoy the natural beauty of the Great Lakes from the comfort of your own spacious backyard, with plenty of room for the family to feel at home together

About Our Home:
The first floor has an open living room and kitchen space with ample room to comfortably host your entire group. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking supplies, pots, and pans or spot sailboats while grilling on the deck. We are happy to provide complimentary propane to cook in the shade of the beautiful maple trees. On the first floor you will also find a large second master with sunrise bay views, a queen sized bed, and a reading nook.
On the second floor is the spacious master suite with views that stretch out to Lake Ontario, a private bath, and a Roku enabled smart TV. We provide HBOMax, Netflix, and YouTubeTV or sign into your own entertainment apps.
The kids will love the bunk room with a beanbag chair for relaxing after a day of fun. Zip open the beanbag for an additional mattress to lay on! The spacious fourth bedroom has two full size beds to stretch out in with beautiful bay views as well.

Outdoor Space:
Our large, newly installed fire-pit is the perfect gathering space for toasting s’mores and sharing stories with friends or family. Where else can you walk to ice cream and then enjoy it by your own backyard campfire? We are happy to provide complimentary firewood for your added convenience. We love our animals and have installed a backyard dog run if you would like your dog to enjoy vacation too without running off.

Enjoy the Bay:
The 50 foot dock is the perfect place for cannonballs, parking your boat, kayaks or paddle board. Our home is located a short paddle away from the Sodus Bay sandbar. This unique spot on the bay is a great place to anchor and jump out into waist deep water. The Sodus Bay sandbar is a popular gathering space for the community and a unique way to enjoy the bay unlike anywhere on Lake Ontario. Fishing charters are available, and a short walk away or simply drop in a line off the dock to find your catch. This is a no-wake zone and on a calm day the water is like glass.

Enjoy the Town:
Sodus Points offers ice cream shops, outdoor dining, beautiful marinas, fishing charters, bars and restaurants, all within walking distance. Sunday nights in the summer you will find live music in town. Sodus Bay Outfitters offers bike and kayak options for rent as well as light groceries. Take your morning stroll to Imprint Coffee to get your caffeine kick start. Sodus Point Beach Park has beachfront swimming with lifeguards on duty during summer months as well as the historic lighthouse and museum. All these amenities and activities are a walk from the front door.

Considerations of the Home:
Please note our cottage has portable air conditioners in each bedroom and forced air to heat in the cooler times of year. Let the wonderful lake breeze cool the house in the evening and enjoy the shade of our backyard trees during the day or just go jump in the lake!

We love our dogs, but keep your wet dogs out of the house.

Absolutely NO smoking inside the home. Please be considerate of the home so we can all enjoy this space together.
