The Property:

Entering the home, you will have space to leave coats and shoes in the foyer. You will then enter the kitchen which opens to both the dining area and living room . The beachside of the home is a wall of windows that allows for breathtaking views of the beach and lake. In addition, there is a newly built powder room and newly built dry bar kitchenet on the main floor in the living room.

Upstairs, you will find an open floor plan with magnificent views of the beach and lake from the master bedroom (king bed). There is also a small balcony off the stairs that allows for a lake breeze and views of the eastside of the beach. The bedrooms are not walled off from each other (separated by a full bathroom) but somewhat private none the less. The master bedroom on the beach/lake side includes a sitting area and dedicated work space complete with beach/lake views. This area opens up to the den (with futon) which looks out to the front of the house. The den then opens to the secluded second bedroom (queen bed) which also looks out to the front of the house. The home includes a tv with streaming services, a large kitchen fully equipped for cooking, parking for 4 cars a Weber gas grill on the front patio and a propane fire pit on the beach deck.

If you are looking for a family friendly, beachfront getaway, this is the perfect place for you. The property is located directly across from 2 restaurants (Don's Original and Bill Grays) both of which serve ice cream. In addition, you will be less than a block from Sea Breeze Amusement Park and a newly built public boat launch. Marge's Lakeside Inn (4 houses down) has live music most nights until 10. There is a putt putt course about a mile up the road and a playground directly across the street. Lastly, there is a paved biking/walking trail that starts directly across the street as well. Regardless if you are from out of town looking to enjoy the beach on one of the Greatest Lakes in the world, or a fellow neighbor looking for a staycation, this is a one of a kind vacation rental you will never forget.

Guest Access:

You will have access to everything besides the basement. The driveway is large enough to park 4 vehicles. There is also a parking lot across the street should you choose to bring a boat, jet ski or other large water friendly toys.

Other Details To Note:

There are cameras onsite mounted at all exterior doors. These turn on and off with movement, and also periodically take still photos during the day. Any violation of house rules (no parties or gatherings other than house guests, no pets, no smoking etc.) seen on camera may result in additional fines or being asked to leave the home - please make sure to follow and respect all of our house rules.

We have wonderful neighbors but they do not expect to be bothered. They also enjoy the tranquility of the lake and beach so we expect that all guests are respectful of their privacy and their property. Guests should at no time be on the neighbors beach. We are in contact with our neighbors, and if that occurs, it may result in additional fines or you may be asked to leave the property immediately with no refund.

Living on the lake - please understand there are insects that will also be joining you outside while on vacation. Although we do have a professional company to spray regularly, we can't stop nature.

The hosts were extremely communicative and helpful - they anticipated all of our needs. We traveled with 2 teenagers who loved that they could just run out the front door for ice cream any time they wanted. The house was very well appointed and felt like a home. Please note that the bedrooms are actually one large u-shaped sleeping area and do not have doors. We were traveling with our parents, so it was fine. If you were traveling with another couple or friends, you may not have enough privacy. Shower and all sleeping areas are upstairs. Variety of cute places to eat in a charming little area. - "Awesome place!" - "The photos are accurate. The home was clean and comfortable and I can’t say enough about the view and the property. We enjoy the outside as much as the inside communication with the property manager was a little on the slow side, but they were very nice and accommodating once we spoke. No complaints. The only downside in the home is that the oven doesn’t work all that well. Took forever to roast anything but no problem, we found plenty of great restaurants to enjoy and spent less time cooking and cleaning! The landscaping is gorgeous and the patio and deck in the back is incredible. The view is beautiful all day long, not just the sunrise. And we even got to watch a thunderstorm from the living room. What a treat to just launch my paddleboard right from the dock in front of the house without having to load it in and out of my car. It was wonderful being able to pull up right to the dock in a rented pontoon boat to pick up our family and then drop them off. My grandkids enjoyed playing on the beach with their bubbles and yard toys. They were so sad to leave and took an extra few minutes to say goodbye to the house before we left. The home is spacious and our family was able to spread out, relax, and just enjoy ourselves without getting in each other’s way. There were plenty of toys and games all throughout the house to keep everyone busy. The air hockey table was a real treat! Highly recommend this home."

Built in 1920, this vintage Cottage-on-the Lake features a large lakeside porch with spectacular views. It provides comfortable seating for 12-14 to enjoy meals, sunsets, or just relax with coffee or a glass of wine. The dining room is a great place to gather for a meal, board games or cards. The flat screen television in the living room has DirecTV service and a DVD player. The screened back porch is a comfy spot to read or watch the bocce players go at it. A well-stocked kitchen has an abundance of dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc. as well as the standard amenities: refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, stove, dishwasher, disposal, and microwave. The laundry room has a full-size washer and dryer.

The upstairs bedrooms include 2 family suites, a private double bedroom and a lake view single bedroom. Each family suite has a queen bed with an adjoining room, separated by double doors, that has a double bed. The master family suite has a full bathroom attached. There is another full bath upstairs. On the first floor there is a single bedroom and nearby half bathroom. The cottage sleeps 14 if all beds are full. The cottage is not air-conditioned but the lake and shade usually keep the temperatures in the comfortable range. Several fans are provided if needed.

The cottage sits on a huge grassy lot with many large trees and shrubs. There is an abundance of play space and room to breathe!

The lake-level patio with tables and umbrellas is great for sunbathing or sitting in the shade while watching people swim. Fishing off the dock can be a fun way to enjoy the lake. A buoy is provided to anchor your boat.

Parking available for five cars.
