Our cabins are located in the heart of the Finger Lakes, in Yates County NY. The areas shop and restaurant owners are aware of Covid requirements while still providing a positive and safe experience for the vacationer. We have increased our cabin disinfection procedures and hope you’ll consider joining us to experience the beautiful scenery of this picturesque area for yourselves.

Now on to our cabin .

Newly renovated Adirondack style cabin nestled in the heart of the finger lakes. Situated on a lot with pines, woods and fields and a mile walking path right out the back door. Enjoy your coffee in the morning with deer, turkeys and a number of other wildlife species right off of the spacious covered porch.

The cabin has a queen size bed upstairs in the loft and a pull out futon suitable for one adult or two children downstairs, as well as a separate trundle bed with two twin size beds available. Please review photos of the living room, trundle and futon while its in the down sleeping position so you are familiar with all the sleeping arrangements. Also, please review the photos of the spiral staircase. Guests with limited mobility may find it harder to access the upstairs loft.

We went all in when renovating the bathroom including it’s beautiful shower. The living room has a cozy fireplace (electric) with large screen TV with local stations (also radio). There is no WiFi, cable or internet here but we may add it in the future. You don’t come to the beautiful countryside to stay in this off the path gem to watch TV and search the web. There’s just too much to do, be it hiking, fishing, wineries, antique shopping, you name it. Most cell phones will work at the cabin, depending on your provider and the weather but if you need a signal, one typically can get it on the road or a short distance down it.

The cabins’ driveway can comfortably hold two cars, three or four if you don’t mind backing out of the driveway. We have a grill for cooking steaks on the porch after a hard day enjoying the finger lakes or guest can cook inside with a fully functional kitchen with stove, refrigerator and microwave.

Branchport and Keuka Lake State Park is a 10 minute drive, as is Prattsburgh. Naples is 15 minutes away and Penn Yan about 20. All three have Dollar and general stores for buying groceries. Penn Yan is the biggest town, with a cinema and more choices than the other area towns. However, one can’t beat Joseph’s fruit stand in Naples for freshly cooked pies, cakes, and bread as well as awesome fruits and veggies, as well as Lynnie Lou’s ice cream but Penn Yan has buckwheat pan cakes, Indian Pines Farm market and two ice cream stores, Seneca Farms and Macs Dairy bar! Oh the choices!

The Green Duck is simply an easy house to be in. At the end of a private road, you'll find our charming 1 bedroom lake house- which includes a full kitchen and living room area with a bathroom (standup shower only). We have just added a luxurious cedar wood-fired hot tub for the 2025 rental season -we have tried it and it is divine! The house is equipped with washer and dryer! We like to keep all the screened windows open all summer and let the breeze keep the house cool, but if you need it, theres AC in the bedroom and the sun room that cools the whole place. There is working WIFI, DVD system, TV channels, but save that for a rainy day. You'll be spending most of your time outside on the deck or down on the beach and/or swimming dock. There are 2 kayaks for your use as well as some extra life jackets. Plenty of deck chairs for sitting or laying out in the sun. A great place for bird watching (bald eagles!) and fishing right off the dock! 2 fire raised metal fire pits (one on the beach and one in the yard) for those nighttime bonfires! This property is unique as we get both Sunrise on the lake and sunset over the hills of Fox Run Winery! One last thing - a charming and historic train runs next to the house. The train seems to have no set schedule, but seems to run very infrequently. Sometimes not coming for days on end and other times passing by up to 3 times in one day. We see this as part of the charm of the place- the train goes slow and the conductor will even sound the whistle for you if you wave at the train! All in all - this is the perfect house for a quiet, get-a-way - full of fishing, swimming, laying around, working on your new book, or a just a romantic rural experience! Oh, and if it gets too quiet - Historic Downtown Geneva is a 15 minute drive. There you can find gift shops, a cinema, The Smith Opera House, grocery stores, Linden Street, full of shops and great farm-to-table restaurants and a lakefront park.

*** This is a year round rental. We spent last winter here and made some great memories. I must say the place is stunning during all four seasons. We do ask the guests DO NOT use the wood stove (for safety reasons). The house is well insulated. There is electric heat (Thermostat), as well as some very advanced, high-end space heaters for the areas that don't heat up as well. This visitor friendly property is located in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York, on the west side of Cayuga Lake. A rustic log cabin retreat with a luxurious interior, modern feel and a comfortable open floor plan. This is a great place to begin the Cayuga Wine Trail. The cabin has a well-equipped kitchen with all appliances and a dining area that seats six. The living room has a couch and love seat, 43” flat screen television, DVD player, cable TV and wi-fi.

Rates are inclusive of 4 guests. The fifth and sixth guests, regardless of age, are charged $20 per person per night.

Take a tour to see White Deer at the Seneca Army Depot , which supports the largest herd of white deer in the world behind 24 miles of protected fencing. This sweet little house has an open floor plan with a sleeping loft and beautiful views looking southwest over Cayuga Lake. Decks on two sides of the house lead to a “flight” of four decks below the house. The kitchen has a small refrigerator, induction burners, small oven, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, and lots of cooking utensils and dishware. The bathroom has a claw-foot tub. On the decks, a gas grill and plenty of chairs and picnic tables for relaxing and entertaining.

Ideal for two, but can sleep four to six: queen mattress in loft, fold-out sofa bed, couch, and camping out in tents on the decks under large shade trees or on the double mattress in the boat house.

Not handicapped accessible: 28 gentle stone steps from the road down to the house, 3 to 6 steps between the decks, steep stairs down to the dock, boat house, and pebble beach, and in the house, a library ladder up to the sleeping loft.

- "Communication was great. We had a great time staying here and spent alot of time traveling to Ithaca for restaurants and hiking. The only things I thought were not explained well is that the bed in loft is on the floor, but it was still semi-comfortable. And the other thing is the bathtub..there is no shower but a handheld showerhead so you have to kind of sit down and shower as to not get water everywhere. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and those were merely minor things we just werent aware of."

This newly built property is located in the heart of the beautiful finger lakes region of upstate New York, on the west side of Cayuga Lake. A rustic log cabin retreat with a luxurious interior, modern feel and a comfortable open floor plan. This property is a great place to begin the Cayuga Wine Trail. The cabin has a well-equipped kitchen with new appliances, and a dining area that seats six. The living room has a couch and love seat, 43” flat screen television, DVD player, TV and WiFi.

Rates are inclusive of 4 guests. The fifth and sixth guests, regardless of age, are charged $20 per person per night.

We are a dog-friendly property! For a small fee, your dog(s) (maximum of 2) are welcome to stay with you. Please make sure to read the pet addendum. When booking the reservation, before clicking "book it", click in the box above the "book it" button and select yes for pets.

The cabin comfortably sleeps up to 6 people. There are two private bedrooms – each has a queen size bed, spacious armoire closet, large chest of drawers, and nightstand. There is a queen size pull-out couch in the living room that accommodates two more people. There is one bathroom with shower. Open year-round, the cabin has with radiant floor heating to warm you on chilly nights, as well as air conditioning and ceiling fans in each room to cool you on warm summer days.

Tour the wineries - the cabin is centrally located on the Cayuga wine trail, with the Seneca Lake Wine Trail a short drive away. Enjoy swimming, boating and fishing on Cayuga Lake. We are a five-minute drive from Deans Cove Boat launch. Taughannock Falls State Park to the south and Seneca State Park to the north offer hiking trails, beach swimming, and boat launch.

There are numerous golf courses in the area, and miles of bicycle paths at nearby Sampson State Park. Visit the white deer at Deer Haven Park, which supports the largest herd of white deer in the world behind 24 miles of protected fencing. Enjoy winter skiing and recreation at several area ski resorts – Bristol Mountain in Canandaigua (also has zip line tours) and Greek Peak (also operates a year-round indoor water park). Close by you’ll find numerous antique shops and live music venues.

Maximum of 2 dogs per cabin. Ithaca off-leash Dog park located at the south end of Cayuga Lake (near Hangar Theater) is great place to exercise your pet.

You’ll come in main door into the Open plan living room/kitchen. Your room and bathroom will be end of hall to the right. You will see baby gate.

During your stay
I’ll check you in once I get home from work so the dogs know you are welcome. If it’s after hours you may not see me or them as we may be in bed. I will give separate check in instructions for after hours arrivals.

I work crazy hours so I will be relaxing or crafting in my living/kitchen area. My home is not perfect.

For multiple days guests I have a teenage dog walker for my dogs so I can’t have anyone in the home between 3 and 4 while she takes them out, as some guests have made her uncomfortable. This is also why I limit weekly stays unless it’s requested and communicated. If needed and agreed I will open up the Wed & Thursday’s with conditions.

Other things to note
Eddie O’Briens Bar and Grille is about 5 minutes away. There is also a diner that has random hours for breakfast.

Otto Tomatoes has Italian food and Route 96 has BBQ.

Travel about 5 minutes further to Victor and there are a few ethnic places along with bar food joints.

About 20 mins south in Canandaigua lake which the downtown boasts shopping and restaurants. This is where you’ll find my Gift Shop.

This is a private room within an entire house . You’ll be sleeping on a brand new soft but firm queen size bed. You’ll have a futon couch that lays down into a bed for 1 additional guest to use, or we can provide an inflatable mattress for 2 extra people by request / or for $15 per reservation. This room is located on the second floor upstairs.

Within the room you’ll have access to a full desk and chair, A keurig coffee machine, a full closet in this room as well as a dresser to store your clothes when you unpack.

You’ll also have access to a full kitchen, living room with a roku tv, half bathroom downstairs and a full bathroom upstairs that will be shared with other airbnb verified guests. The washer and dryer will be located down stairs in the basement with accessibility from inside the house.

What I provide: bedsheets, comforter, pillows, two towels and washcloths for two guests. Extra linen will be provided for extra guests added to reservations.
