Common areas are cleaned professionally periodically. You still need to clean up after yourself while you live here and when you leave. We add a $60/hour cleaning fee when you move out if necessary. This has happened approximately 5 times with 500 guests in over 15 years.

You'll have access to your private bedroom. No one will go in there without your permission, except in an emergency. You'll share the aforementioned common areas.

As the host, I'm at the house every day but I don't live there. I've had 15 listings for 14 years on Airbnb. I provide clean, quiet, safe, budget accommodation for a fair price. Please book with that in mind. All guests here are global travelers, or US-born adventurers, working to advance their careers. All guests here have professional careers.

Other things to note
This is not a typical Airbnb. It does not run like a hotel. I rent mostly to professional travelers who stay between 3 months and 1 year. Prices are less than what it costs to rent a room for 1 year in Norwalk, plus my places include utilities and furnishings. To keep all costs low, you are expected to clean up after yourself and to follow house rules.

There is no work from home between 9am and 5pm weekdays except when approved by the host prior to check-in through Airbnb messaging.

All listings in the house have a 2 week minimum with a 2 week cancellation clause. Both males and females live here (most of the time, men). If you're uncomfortable with a mixed gender living arrangement, please do not request to book here. It's not fair to those who live here. They are all kind, respectful, friendly people.

Common areas are cleaned professionally periodically. You still need to clean up after yourself while you live here and when you leave. We add a $60/hour cleaning fee when you move out if necessary. This has happened approximately 5 times with 500 guests in over 15 years.

Guest access
You'll have access to your private bedroom. No one will go in there without your permission, except in an emergency. You'll share the aforementioned common areas.

During your stay
As the host, I'm at the house every day but I don't live there. I've had 15 listings for 14 years on Airbnb. I provide clean, quiet, safe, budget accommodation for a fair price. Please book with that in mind. Most of the guests here are global travelers working abroad to advance their careers. I'm looking forward to meeting you and hearing about your next adventure.

Other things to note
This is not a typical Airbnb. It does not run like a hotel. I rent mostly to professional travelers who stay between 3 months and 1 year. Prices are less than what it costs to rent a room for 1 year in Norwalk, plus my places include utilities and furnishings. To keep all costs low, you are expected to clean up after yourself and to follow house rules.

The listing description has photos of several different bedrooms. I have videos of each room and apartment. Airbnb will block the video link if I send it thru their app or site. Message me at 914 space 895 space 36 space 78 and I'll send you video(s) of what is available for your dates. You can also use enorentals at g mail if you are not US-based or just prefer it. No phone calls please. My only intention for offering a video is to provide accurate information about the space that you will rent. If you like the space after viewing a video, then we contract back on Airbnb.

If you request a room, I may be asking you the following:
- what you do for work
- approximate work hours
- if you hope to work any of those hours at home
- if you've ever been summoned to housing court
- if you're ok following the house rules.
I attempt to maintain a peaceful, quiet household where all guests can work, rest and study. That requires me to screen potential guests and rent to people who are kind and respectful. Thanks for your patience on this.

The space
This is a bedroom with a double bed, Windows with a nice view from the yard. It has a bathroom next to it with a soaking tub not good for shower. Shower downstairs in a sharing bathroom.
P.s. As the picture shows it is a cozzy attic room. The amount of livable walking space is only about 5 feet wide. Be careful to dont bump your head on the sloped roof. :-) :-)
