This charming two story classic Nantucket rose covered cottage is located in Brant Point, just a 10 minute walk to the center of town, 3 beaches and ferries. There is no need for a car, though there is a private off-street driveway area in front of the house. This traditional Nantucket cottage has been completely refurbished with new furnishings and decorations, luxury European sheets, bedding, towels, dishes and glassware - and HVAC split system (thermostatic controls) replacing all window units and space heaters. The entire exterior was has been re-shingled with a new roof, rear deck and bluestone patio, and an outdoor shower, all while retaining the cottage's historic Nantucket charm. We have some of the best competitive prices for the Island and the best off season rates. Long weekends available in early and late off-season.

Also note that because our property is away from Nantucket Town proper you will need to think about transportation to our house particularly in the off-season. As a result, you should figure out transportation before booking our property. While there is shuttlebus service that stops one block from our house (check with Nantucket Regional Transit Authority for precise dates of operation and confirm the bus makes stops in Sconset for the dates and times you are interested in) renting a car, Uber, bikes, or cabs are also options and you should contact the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce to get better information on using any of these modes of transportation. Also note that bus service outside of the higher season months runs less frequently so check out the schedule if you are planning on using this mode of transportation to make sure it works out with your plans. You can also bring your car over on the Steamship out of Hyannis but you must make reservations with the Nantucket/Marthas Vineyard Steamship Authority. If you plan on using the Steamship Authority to bring your car over, make sure you have checked with them regarding availability as well as cost before booking our cottage.

Note for weeks where we require a 7 day minimum stay (Memorial Day to October) (we book Saturday to Saturday) we do not book additional days beyond the 7 day minimum unless your request is for an additional 7 days (in other words we don't accept 10 day stays for example) during this time frame.

Because we are located on an Island, travel to the Island may be impacted by weather or mechanical issues if you are traveling by boat or plane. This is something we have no control over. If this is a concern of yours, it is our understanding that VRBO offers trip insurance. Although we are not familiar with the terms of this insurance product and if it would cover travel related issues, it is something you may want to check on when thinking about booking a trip to Nantucket.

Cleaning cost ranges from $100 to $200 depending upon condition cottage is in when cleaners arrive! Please call for hints on how to reduce cleaning costs if you are interested.

The key to the cottage is kept in a lockbox. Instructions for using the lockbox will be provided to you prior to your visit.

Located on a private lane just a short walk to town and easy access to bike paths and beaches, our property is a quintessential Nantucket getaway. Our property consists of two cottages (Cottage A, Leeward and Cottage B, Windward), duplex style, with separate entrances and decks and a large shared yard (see listing #602380 for Cottage A). There is also a separate studio on the property that the owners use occasionally.

Cottage B (Windward) has two bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and main living room with efficient kitchen and living space. Both bedrooms have full size beds. The deck with comfortable outdoor furniture and a Weber gas grill overlooks the large shared, nicely landscaped yard. There is also ample off-street parking. Quality linens included. Beach chairs, beach towels and small cooler bag available for use. Just bring yourself! The cottage is equipped for four (4) guests and that occupancy limit is very strict. If you have questions or concerns, please ask.

If you are traveling with small children, we can help connect you to a local rental company that can provide anything else you might need for your stay. We do not maintain bikes for use by guests but please ask about local rentals!

The kitchen is efficiently updated with an LG refrigerator, compact stove, microwave and a dishwasher, and everything that you would need for a week's getaway is provided. Our Keurig coffeemaker can make a single cup using a pod, or a pot using coffee grounds.

The bathroom features marble floors and tile walls with a modern glass shower surround.

Outside you will find a large professionally landscaped yard and a convenient outdoor shower with on demand hot water and a dressing area for privacy.

While just a short walk to Main Street for shopping and dining along with the harbor area- the cottage is down a secluded lane that is quiet and a great place to relax.

WiFi and a flat screen TV with Cable TV are provided.

There are security cameras located on the end of the Cottage B overlooking the driveway area and on the exterior of Cottage C overlooking the yard immediately in front of that cottage. The cameras are monitored by the hosts. There is a motion-activated light to illuminate the driveway after dark (the light turns on temporarily and then turns off automatically). The walkway is lit by solar-powered landscape lighting and your cottage has an exterior light by the entrance that can be switched on and off from inside the cottage. Please let us know if you have any questions about these features.

We offer a discount for stays of 7 nights or more. Inquire about a monthly rental at reduced rate and no lodging tax (rental period must be more than 31 days).

With such a short season, we have a strict cancellation policy. We recommend that you consider purchasing travel insurance to mitigate the risk of disruption due to illness (including COVID), transportation issues, etc. We will try to work with you in the case of extreme circumstances but may not be able to in every situation. Kendra and Phil were very responsive before, during and after our stay. The cottage was absolutely perfect! It is not far from town to walk, buses can be easily accessible from the location, and overall everything was great. We had everything we needed as far as towels, chairs, kitchen tools, etc . The backyard was perfect for grilling, enjoying meals outside and our puppy had an absolute blast having an outdoor area, especially coming from the city. Designed for a totally self-indulgent summer idyll, the property is perfectly located, allowing occupants and their guests plenty of flexibility for both at-home or walking distance activities, without the need for a car; though the property does provide off-street parking for one vehicle.

The cottage itself had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. We had a car and appreciated having a parking spot for the week!
