- "It was a beautiful cottage in a quiet quaint neighborhood!! We could walk to the beach down a peaceful street in a lovely landscaped neighborhood. It was close enough to stores and restaurants but not close enough for the traffic to be intrusive. We felt completely safe. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. - "Our family of 3 very much enjoyed our week-long stay at this beautifully designed and exceptionally clean and cozy home. We loved the unique and thoughtful touches through the house — yoga mats, candles, twinkle lights, etc. The property was just as the title suggests - a peaceful sanctuary. We enjoyed quiet relaxation with beautiful marsh views and the gentle tones of a wind chime. There was also an expansive wrap around deck for outdoor dining, sunbathing, and stargazing. We also loved walking 10-15 minutes to a private section of the expansive Nauset Beach just for the neighborhood. In the home, we were provided with plenty of bath and beach towels, as well as bar soap, shampoo/conditioner, floss, Q-tips etc. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the supplies one might need, including plenty of teas and complimentary coffee for the Keurig. The house had three bedrooms, one of which was a cute lofted bedroom (though no door for complete privacy). The beds and pillows were all spacious and comfortable. Overall, highly recommend this property and would love to stay again."

Our cottage was originally built in 1941 and has been completely and lovingly restored with vintage white beadboard ceilings, shiplap walls and classic built-ins and has been furnished with everything you need for a memorable Cape Cod vacation.

Our three bedrooms each have a unique and personal character. The master suite has vaulted shiplap ceiling, queen brass bed, cable TV, large ceiling fan, large, walk-in closet and a private and cheery master bath with privacy wall and soaking tub.

There is a second bedroom with an antique double bed and large dresser for storage off the main living area and a third bedroom with a classic vaulted beadboard ceiling, exposed rafters, twin beds, antique transom window and two large windows that open onto the screened porch.

There is also a wonderful, custom built outdoor shower for getting clean after a day at the beach!

Our location is within walking distance to East Orleans village, where you can find fresh brewed coffee and amazing muffins in the morning and to Sundae School for ice cream at night. Nauset Beach is just two miles away and you can easily bike into Orleans to access the Cape Cod Rail Trail or for shopping or to try out the many great restaurants.

Summer rentals are a minimum of 7 days, Saturday to Saturday.

Bedspreads, blankets and pillows are provided, however bedsheets and towels are not included, except by special arrangement for an additional fee.

We do not have a washer and dryer, but there is a laundromat if needed 5 minutes away.

I love to swim, so the bonus was Meeting House Pond down the road- basically a boat launch and salt water- not fancy beach but warmish water. If you have a canoe or kayak you should bring it!
