When you stay here you will occupy the Private 3rd floor, so you must be able to climb two sets of stairs, and carry your own luggage. You enter through the front door, pass through my living room and up to the suite where you have a King bed, bath, and sitting room. I'll be home to greet you and get you oriented. - "Easy to rent was as shown loved the location. Heating system was an issue. Maintenance responded quickly but still col in condo." - "We enjoyed staying here. It is super close to the Pell Bridge so it was easy to get to Newport and surrounding spots. This unit doesn't face the water directly, but walking out to the parking lot allowed us to take in the sunrise. The rooms are spacious with plenty of closets and drawers if you need them and plenty of electric outlets. The dining table was extra large so six people would be comfortable sitting together. There are basics in the kitchen, but if you plan to do a lot of prep/cooking, you might want to bring your own sharper cutlery, salt/pepper and foil or storage bags for leftovers. I gave the "accuracy of listing" four stars instead of five because I think the pictures are of a different unit in this complex, not this exact unit. Also, from the pictures, you can tell it is a two-story unit, but the description of the listing doesn't say that the kitchen and main living area are on the second floor. Overall, we liked staying here."

There's ample parking. It's walking distance to some restaurants. You walk by the water so it's nice. What's more, it did not have the "balcony" it advertised -- though there were four photos of a deck in the photo gallery and in the amenities description, it promised a deck and grill. There is not only no deck or balcony, the rooms are tiny and dark, nothing like the lovely rooms with large windows and high ceilings advertised. We have contacted VacayHome connect several times to get some compensation, to no avail. We stayed at the beginning of July -- hopefully, they've changed the photos to reflect the true state of the property since then, so that other travelers are not mislead."

We always enjoy the waterfront units and had the opportunity to sat in unit 15 this summer. Well appointed, comfortable space, bright & cheerful on a quiet residential street. The 2nd floor bedroom is adjacent to the dedicated private bath. A ceiling fan circulates the gentle breezes on the island. There is also an AC unit in window during summer months. 5 minute walk to the shore. 3 miles to the village of Jamestown. 15 min drive across Pell bridge to Newport. Narragansett beaches, 25 mins. Visit, hike, sail or settle in the garden to read a good book. Each season is special here.

We'd like you to feel welcome to our home. We love Jamestown and our island life and want you to love it too. Time has a way of slowing us down here. Listen to the birds, watch the deer as they graze. Do much or do nothing -just enjoy what it means to be a bridge apart and a world away!

There is a dresser, table for writing postcards, a comfortable chair and nightstands with appropriate lighting and usb plugs. The Queen size bed (152 x 203 cm or 60” x 80”) is dressed for comfort and additional blankets are available. The adjacent private bath is equipped with double sink and bathtub/shower has good water pressure. We also have a water filtration system and water softener for the entire house. Complete toiletries are available, as well as individual use products.

A 26" TV is set up with an Apple Lightning to HDMI adapter with remote control so that you can use your IPhone, IPad or PC to view on the screen. Wifi code is posted in your room.

Please note this is a guest room so you will not have access to the kitchen. There is no refrigerator in the bedroom. Also no small appliances (coffee pot, kettle, rice cooker, hot plate) are allowed to be used in the bedroom or bathrooms. Do not eat or prepare meals in bedroom or leave kitchen food items in trash. We share a list of delicious local eateries including breakfast for you to try.

This house is so cute!! It has been used as a beach house for the past 50 years!! It has two bedrooms, a 'front room' with a pullout couch, one full bathroom, an outside shower for after the beach, a kitchen with original porcelain farmhouse sink, and a big sunny open-concept room with dining table, couch/chairs (with a 50" TV--my husband's idea!) overlooking the yard and covered pavilion/outside area -- a sitting/grilling/relaxing space. The house is clean, well-decorated and all you will need to enjoy a relaxing beach vacation.
Jamestown is centrally located in RI:
*12 minutes to Newport, RI [for lots of stores, world-class restaurants and nightlife] over the Newport Bridge (bring your EZPass). There is a passenger ferry to Newport from Jamestown which is nice as a 'designated driver' option and a pleasant way to get out on the water!
*15 minutes to Narragansett Beach
*40 minutes to the fishing/lobster village of Pt. Judith, which is where you pick up the Block Island Ferry (a must-do) and have family-style lobster when you return!!
“Downtown Jamestown” is friendly, welcoming, casual and sophisticated. The quaint downtown area has East Ferry marina with views of Newport Bridge and Newport Harbor, lots of sailboats to watch, little gift shops, a hardware store, wine and cheese shop, and great restaurants that people come to visit from off-island. There are bike and kayak rentals too.
The town beach (“Mackerel Cove”) is a half-moon shaped bay with soft sand, three miles away from the bungalow. Other must-sees are Beavertail Lighthouse and Museum Park--expansive views of the Atlantic Ocean and RI Sound/Newport; Ft Wetherill-views of the mouth of Narragansett Bay--a parade of sailboats and yachts to gaze at; Ft. Getty--kayak access to an estuary/pond and Narragansett Bay, nice secluded beach and a sand volleyball court. There are several farms on Jamestown, so produce stands and they also provide amazing vistas as you drive into town and past Marsh Meadows and the local fish shop. You really have everything you need in Jamestown, but can easily venture off on adventures!!

Parking for 2 cars in the front yard (please park on the grass between the mailbox and the front walkway). No street parking allowed. It is a quiet family neighborhood, so no loud music or noise outside after 9:00pm.

Two queen beds and one pullout couch in separate living room ('sitting room'). This house has a relaxed atmosphere and you can feel all of the fun family times that were had there over the years. If you are looking for gourmet chef's kitchen and an upscale luxury experience, this house is not for you. Village 59 is an amazing 2 Bedroom/1 Bath apartment centered in one of most beautiful locations in New England. It is situated on Conanicut Island in the middle of Narragansett Bay. The island is one mile wide and nine miles long and now connected by bridges to the mainland on both East and West sides. The unit is located within the downtown area. It is just a short drive, bike ride or walk to Fort Wetherill and Beavertail State Parks. It is less than a half mile from local beaches, fine restaurants, a bakery, shopping, convenience store, grocery store, fishing, library, playground for children and kayak & boat rentals.

Just a short drive across the Newport (Claiborne Pell) bridge and you will be able to take the very impressive mansion tours. Then after your mansion tours take a walk along the scenic Cliff Walk (3 miles long or just do a portion), stroll along historic Thames street to shop or dine in a vast variety restaurants. Then book a sailing cruise aboard the Madeline sailboat from the Newport Wharf. Visit Sweet Berry farm in middletown to pick fresh fruit, visit the local wine vineyards. The light house tours by boat using the Fast Ferry might also be of some interest or taking a cruise out to Martha's Vineyard or Block Island two other nearby islands offshore. There are just so many things to do in and around area.

The area is also rich in American History for those of you history buffs. George Washington crossed the Island along present day Narragansett Avenue to get to Newport to meet with the French General during the Revolutionary War.

Village 59 is just an hour drive to Boston where you can day trip exploring the Freedom Trail, a Boston Red Sox Baseball game, visit the Samuel Adams Brewery or just take in some sightseeing around the area. Foxboro Stadium for Revolution soccer or Patriot football is just about 35-45 minute drive. Cape Cod is about a 45 minute drive to go whale watching and New York is about 2 hours away to explore the big city. You have one off street parking space, and a short walk to the Jamestown-Newport ferry, beach, marina and all the restaurants within a couple blocks. When you arrive Text me and I will greet you, and give you your keycode, and quick tour of your space. You will enter through the FRONT door, pass through my living room, and up the stairs to occupy the PRIVATE 3rd floor suite. Included in this space is a king bedroom, private sitting area, and a private bath with an extra long soaking tub. Sitting area has small refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven. If you want to be outside you can enjoy relaxing at the wonderful Koi pond. Off street parking is available for 1 vehicle.

During your stay
RI is a small state and Jamestown is an island. So I am always close by! I will be in and out during your visit to make sure you are well cared for. My goal is for you to relax and feel comfortable. If you need me I'm here. There will always be water, and snacks available in your sitting area and possibly other home-made treats. I use to own a bakery!

The only positive yet negative is that I live across from the fire station. We are super protected as the house is wired directly to the fire station. But for full disclosure if there is a major emergency you could be the lucky one to hear the horn and trucks! This is an entire house rental located in the very heart of the village of Jamestown on Conanicut Island.

Walk a short block to the marina and downtown cafés, shops and restaurants.

Shady porch and patio. Equally suited for a family or couple's retreat.

The house was built in 1900, its nickname 'Smiling Through' was given by a Broadway performer who owned the home.

Please note that a kitchen renovation is due later in the year and that the house currently does not offer a washer/dryer or dishwasher.
Additionally - There is WIFI, however there is not cable television.

Travelers have so many choices on where to stay. The Heart of Jamestown, a super-host since 2019, located in the center of town. We use Nautica 100% cotton sheets & Ralph Lauren blankets! Walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants, and ferry service to Newport. Beavertail State Park, Fort Wetherill, and Ft. Getty are a bike ride away. Bike, kayak and SUP rentals 1 block away. The space
November 2024 the new King bed arrived! Bathroom remodeled in January 2023, living room with a 65" tv, Cable and internet included, A/C, Full kitchen with Refrigerator, microwave, stove. Located on the first floor of a 3 family, owner occupied home in the heart of town. No pets allowed, and no smoking or vaping in the apartment or on the property! A private entrance allows you freedom to move about as you wish. We are a text away if you have any special needs or request. We are walking distance to all the amenities, restaurants, beach, Newport Ferry, hiking trails. Bikes, kayaks and paddleboards can be rented one block away. Fully stocked with Nautica 100% cotton sheets, Ralph Lauren blankets, towels, kitchen supplies etc. beach chairs and umbrellas also available. A three night minimum.

Guest access
You have the first floor apartment on the West side of the home. Your private entrance is handicapped accessible. I will text you before your arrival with parking instruction and key code information. The bedroom, living room, kitchen, bath are private. There is a koi pond out back with a table for snacking and drinks (this space is shared). A coin op laundry is in the basement. WIFI, and Nest AC provided. One off street parking space.

Other things to note
NO pets, NO smoking, NO parties or loud noise after 11pm on the property or you will be asked to leave. Apartment is for 2 people unless prior arrangements have been approved by Connie. We are located across from the fire station so there is always the rare possibility of the fire horn going off. They do test with one blast at 6pm so be prepared. I am registered with the State of RI as a short term rental. The town asks you to visit their ordinances for noise, trash etc., all of which is common sense. I am 1 block from easy rentals for bikes, kayaks and paddleboards. A walk to the water, food and entertainment.

Enjoy some quiet time in this home located on the north end of Jamestown. Only 7 minutes’ walk to a local beach. The house consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a well stocked kitchen. Enjoy the spacious deck, relax in the backyard and listen to birds chirping. This home boasts nature at its best! While tucked on a quiet street, it’s only a 15-20 minutes’ drive from Newport and a 15-20 minutes’ drive from Narragansett.

Seven nights minimum rental Sat-Sat starting Mid-May to Sept.

The space
Our house has a non-traditional layout with the kitchen, dining room, and 2 small bedrooms and bath on the main floor. The master bedroom with bath and living room is on the second floor, accessible by a spiral staircase.

Other things to note
Our house consists of 3 twin beds, 1 full bed, and 1 king bed. However, our house is only 1038 square feet. Please take that into account when deciding to book our place.

And if that is not enough, it's just a 10 minute hop across the famous Newport Pell Bridge to a second Island paradise complete with all the trimmings which made Newport the City beside the Sea home to the rich and famous!

Guests have free parking and easy self check-in. Beach towels provided in summer months.

Other things to note
Two adults only. No children or pets. No early check in summer. No extra linen for sofa. If you prefer two beds or not taking stairs to go to the toilet in the middle of the night this place is not for you.
