Warm and inviting. The cottage has the feeling of getting away but being close to it all.
The property has a calming vibe and don’t be surprised if you see little bunnies, birds, and even deer walking through.💗 Relax and unwind under the pergola. Enjoy a fire and make s’mores (personal favorite) with the stone fire-pit. They left chocolates in the fridge, coffee, a Kureg machine, bottled water, and supplied body wash and shampoo and conditioner. They also left a dog bed, food and water bowl for our pup! Plenty of cooking pots and pans were also stocked, though we did not have time to cook. The home itself is a mixture of old and new, a quirky cute cottage feel, and the quirkiness just added to the charm of our vintage New England experience. Nice backyard with fire pit, (though we did not have time to do a fire either) The beds were comfortable with nice blankets etc. We wish the owners success in their VRBO business."

This is a brand new Post and Beam style cottage with 2 bedrooms and sleeps 5 comfortably. Open floor plan and large deck over looking a pasture. Built on a 5 acre farm just 10 minutes to local beaches, you will experience old South County living, surrounded by working farms with peace and quiet away from the crowds. A short drive gets you to local beaches. The Galilee Fishing Port is nearby with a very active and productive fishing fleet, one of the biggest in the U.S. The Block Island Ferry is also located in Galilee. Downtown Wakefield is 5 minutes away with local shops,restaurants and markets. Newport is a 25 minute ride, The University of Rhode Island is 10 minutes and Providence is 30 minutes. Sadly our beloved donkey Duke has passed away. We still have our free roaming chickens.

The condo is clean, bright, and comfortable There are beach chairs, beach toys, boogie boards and umbrellas (super helpful not to have to pack all the beach stuff when traveling!) The views are amazing! Love waking up to the boats and ferries and sitting out on the deck in the evenings and listening to the waves. The walk to the beach was one of many reasons why we will continue to come back here! Quick and easy and after dinner we go back so our boys can run on the beach and we can watch the sunset We love using the clamming rakes that are provided and going clamming. The house is stocked with everything you need, Huge lobster pot and lobster crackers! Jim is very responsive and helpful!"

- "We loved the peace and quiet and all the bird life" - "We couldn't ask for much more from a vacation rental. The location is superb being only about 100 yards to the beach through your own private hedge tunnel. It is also close to Rte 1 making all of southern RI very accessible. A theater and one-mile field trail are located at the end of the drive. The beach is a mix of sand and stone (rounded stone) which thins the crowds, but adds to privacy. Waves are usually good - bring water shoes. We were comfortable with four people in the first floor rental. The lodging is simple and clean, and if you like, you can listen to the waves all evening. Shelagh, the host, was welcoming and very helpful on local activities. We do recommend the rental and will likely be back."
