Welcome to "Sunset Haven”! A 2 bedroom, 1 bath picturesque lakefront cottage located on the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York State. This property features upper & lower decks, a relaxing 6-person hot tub, a private dock with a large sun deck, a 7ft waterslide, and 2 boat lifts. Fish off the dock, float on a tube (we can rent ours!), relax in the oversized hammock or enjoy a paddle in the 2 kayaks provided for use.

This 2 bedroom, 1 bath property can sleep up to 6 guests and has parking for 4 vehicles. It features upper and lower decks with panoramic views of the lake, a lower waterside patio area with a relaxing 6-person hot tub available for use year-round, a private dock with a large sun deck and a 7 ft waterslide,1 sling boat lift (2000lb max),1 cradle boat lift (4000lb max). Cast a line off the dock for some great fishing, float peacefully in an inflatable tube (we have 2 available for rental!), relax in the oversized hammock or enjoy a paddle around the lake in the 2 kayaks provided for use.

Get up early to see the change in the color of the hills across the lake as the sun rises or watch an afternoon storm roll down the lake leaving the air clean and fresh. Enjoy the lake breeze and the sound of waves lapping against the dock. Fish off the end of the dock in one of the best fishing spots on the lake or enjoy a paddle around the lake in a kayak. The cottage sits on the water's edge and has a gorgeous view of Keuka Lake. The French doors in the living room open to a glass enclosed porch where guests can enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Parking can accommodate vehicles with boat trailers. Bring your boat and use the 4000lb (max) boat lift will accommodate a 16' to a 22' boat. If your short on toys, a swim raft and a canoe with a built in ice chest are supplied for your enjoyment.

Occupancy: This property is closely monitored for responsible renting. The maximum occupancy of each home is the number of guests allowed on the premises at any given time. This includes both day and overnight guests as well as all children including infants.

- "This cottage is RIGHT ON the water. It was perfect for a couple's getaway. The kitchen was well stocked and I enjoyed sitting in the sun porch with a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. The docks and deck were nice for fishing and for just sitting to enjoy the lake. And because the cottage is about 35 steps down from the road it was VERY quiet. My only complaint is with the management company and the fees. The listing said that linens and towels were included, but we were charged a linen service fee. And on top of that was the processing fee, reservation fee, non-refundable damage insurance fee, the cleaning fee and pet fee. So the advertised price/night is VERY misleading. With taxes it ended up being almost double. This was a last minute getaway so we did it, but I'm not sure I would say that this cute little cottage was worth that much. I emailed the management company regarding the linen fee and some maintenance items that needed attention, and did not get a reply from them."

Guests tell me the photos don't do the cottage and property justice. Read our reviews. Very private. Clean. Lots of space. Drive down to the beach. The East side of Seneca Lake has lots of sun and beautiful sunsets. 100 foot dock. New windows, doors and mini-split ac/heat. Ten miles from Geneva for shopping, movies, and food. Two Five Star restaurants within 15 miles. Each year we renovate another part of our little cottage and many of our guests and their pets return every year. One bedroom with two double beds and a large living room with one pull out couch can sleep 4. Cottage is 880 square feet so best for 2-4 people. Minimum stay is 3 nights except July and August when we only rent by the week (Saturday 3 pm to Saturday 10 am). Cozy but may be too small for anyone 6 foot 2 or over. New kitchen appliances, cupboards, air conditioning, and microwave. We added a pellet stove for visits in the early spring or late fall for wine tours, an aluminum boat for fishing, a canoe and 2 kayaks for sunsets on the lake. Enjoy the quiet - pets welcome. Guests and their pets return every year. One of the few places with no stairs to the lake. Everyone enjoys swimming in the lake, laying on the dock, visiting the wineries (we have three within 7 miles and a brewery) and local restaurants. Others have ventured to Ithaca, Rochester, and Canandaigua to visit museums, gourmet restaurants, and historic sites. The bedroom is above the lake so when you wake up in the morning, you can see right onto the lake. The kitchen and dining area are on the bottom floor and look right onto the water. There are many places to walk including a two mile hike up to Sampson State Park.

If you need to get away from the stress of your life, this is the place.

Enjoy the Lake: This is NOT for you IF you want a high energy vacation. See the herons land on the dock each evening and the ducklings come by each morning. The waves will rock you to sleep. Swim and kayak during the day. Take out the rowboat to fish. Have beach fires at night and visit our many wonderful wineries, breweries, and restaurants nearby. WIFI but no cable TV (just DVD movies). We suggest you relax and get away. This is truly the country and as our friend Simon says, "They aren't building any more lakes."

Our home offers 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds and pillow top mattresses, pull out couch with queen memory foam mattress, 2 full bathrooms, and a separate laundry room. A fully stocked kitchen will provide you with everything you need to cook an amazing meal for your family. The kitchen has plenty of cupboard and counter space for easy meal preparation. A full pantry is available for your personal food. Dining area includes room for 6 or serve dinner on the deck while enjoying the amazing lake view. The living room is spacious and has comfortable seating. First floor of this very appealing 1,250 square foot cottage includes a full kitchen with dining area offering a memorable view; a living room with a decorative stone fireplace and mahogany floor; and a large, bright sitting room with a sofa bed, converting to a downstairs bedroom.

The second floor features two generous bedrooms and a bath. The downstairs sitting room has beautiful, sweeping lake views and opens via a sliding glass door to a 25-foot-long wood deck overlooking the lake. With Adirondack chairs along with a patio table and chairs, the deck is a perfect spot to kick back, relax and enjoy the outstanding view.

Twin Pines Cottage sleeps up to 6 persons - two in each second floor bedroom, and two in the first floor sitting room. All floors are natural wood. The cottage, outfitted with electric heat, is insulated and features an air conditioner in the living room along with ceiling fans in each bedroom. Next to the cottage is a generous parking area with a large lawn and extensive woods beyond. Outside the kitchen is an additional deck with a charcoal grill.

Down the staircase, 90 feet of lakefront offers a dock and lakeside cabana with a table and chairs, mini-refrigerator and fishing gear. Lakeside there are lawn chairs for relaxing, a picnic table and a fire ring for memorable beach campfires.

The cottage interior offers a number of Adirondack-lodge style features including a fieldstone fireplace, barnwood accents, hand-crafted wood entry doors and wood trim with the tree bark intact. Comfortable contemporary furnishings and antique accents combine to create a pleasing, classic interior ambiance. Twin Pines is furnished with two sofas, a recliner, a convertible sofa bed and Oriental rugs. The eat-in kitchen with beautiful granite countertops and oak cabinets is fully equipped. The main second floor bedroom has 18 feet of sliding glass windows overlooking Cayuga Lake.

There are plenty of activities to do in the area too. Located on the Cayuga snow mobile trail if guests want to bring their sleds with them to ride. Sheldrake and Deans Cove public boat launches are minutes away for boating enthusiasts. Boat rentals are available in the area. Taughannak Falls and Seneca State Park offer hiking trails and beach swimming. Sampson State Park has miles of bike paths to enjoy. There are also many golf courses in the area. Deer Haven Park offers tours to observe the biggest herd of white deer around protected by 24 miles of fencing.
Other area attractions within an hour of the cottage include Bristol Mountain Ski Resort, Greek Peak Indoor Water Park, Watkins Glen International Raceway, Cayuga Lake Boat Cruises, Museum of the Earth, Waterloo Premium Outlet Mall, and the Del Lago Casino.

Two bedrooms and the glamorous main bath featuring a fully tiled shower and double sinks are situated off the hall which can be closed off from the living area with a pocket door for extra sound sleeping. The master bedroom offers quests a queen size bed with beautiful lake views. The second bedroom also offers a queen size bed. A bonus room for additional sleeping along with the powder room are conveniently off the kitchen area. The bonus room has a triple bunk set and queen bed.

The lower level features an informal rec room with a ping pong table, foosball, a single and queen futon couch along with the second full bathroom with a shower/tub combo. The covered grilling area is just outside the lower level doors allowing for guests to grill in the shade or out of foul weather.

A wrap around porch/deck runs from the carport to the front of the house facing the lake, and is an excellent location for enjoying the views. A fire pit is located below the house in the yard for enjoying evening campfires and great company! With a two acre yard you will have plenty of room to enjoy all of the outdoor games a family could want.

A short drive or walk down Rapalee Road leads to 40 feet of lakefront, along with a dock for enjoying swimming, sun bathing or fishing. A pair of kayaks and lawn chairs are provided for guests' enjoyment during their stay. While the seasonal dock is not set up to moor a boat, there is a public boat launch less than 2 miles away for guests that are bringing a boat with them.

The home resides in a residential resort area which allows for great evening walks along the water or your choice of two restaurants. Located in the heart of the Seneca Lake Wine and Beer Trail, Rapalee Retreat is just minutes from several fine wineries, breweries, restaurants, and the Windmill Farm and Craft Market. Watkins Glen and Geneva are only a 15 minute drive as well as Penn Yan and the Keuka Lake Wine Trail.

- "I can’t say enough about this property, they had everything we could possibly need and more! Lots of pots and pans, utensils, and dishes. Top of the line appliances (no Keurig but not a big deal). There’s a closet full of games and books for when you’re not out exploring the beautiful area. Gorgeous sunrises over the lake and not to mention the beautiful decor!…and everything was pristine! The one very minor downfall was that we couldn’t get the Buffalo Bills game on the tv as there is no cable or antenna. We will most definitely be back and highly recommend."

A quiet, quaint lakefront cottage located 2 miles in on a private dirt road, great for walking or bike rides. Cottage is on the east side of the lake, close to Aurora, and several wineries and restaurants.

This is our vacation paradise. When we are not enjoying it with family and friends we rent it out. We don’t treat it as a rental. It has the quirkiness that comes from being our cottage. We are always changing, adding, updating. Our very first renter still comes back every year and looks for what we changed or added. Our cottage has over 200 feet of level beachfront, small dock, and is on a more secluded part of Cayuga lake. On the east shore so there are amazing sunsets. The cottage itself has one large camp style bedroom with one double bed and a twin over full bunk bed. Has a living/dining room, fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom with shower. The outside features a large wraparound covered porch with lots of seating, and amazing views. There is also a sun deck, and BBQ area. Note: There is no tv, or internet. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away from it all and unwind this is it!!!

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this newly updated cottage on Keuka Lake. Everything is near by including the Windmill, wineries, breweries, downtown Penn Yan, restaurants and Marina. Keuka is a hidden gem with limited boat traffic and scenic views.

The cottage is located behind Camp Cory. It is private and semi-hidden with a walk out yard down to the lake instead of stairs. This is perfect for families with little children. The lake is also very shallow and no drop off's.

The space
We are on the Finger Lakes Wine Trail, 1/2 mile from Taughannock State Park, 20 minutes to Ithaca, 4 miles to adorable Trumansburg.
Cottage is rustic, no television, but robust fiber internet connection. Lots of games and puzzles. Covered porches provide outdoor seating and dining. Heat is wood stove, or portable electric heaters supported by newly upgraded electric service. We provide wood. Bathroom has stall shower, bathroom is NOT handicapped accessible. This is a family summer cottage, furnished simply, with lots of history. Setting is magnificent and access to lake is immediate, view is spectacular, atmosphere is rustic, private, and you will feel close to the undeveloped natural lakeside habitat. Great Blue Herons, Ospreys, Mergansers, Loons during migration, and keep an eye out for Bald Eagles.

Gravel driveway leads cars to cottage level; not as steep as many lakefront cottages! Stairs or path lead to lake level and boathouse. Stone beach is expansive, with plenty of room for picnic tables, stone campfire circle, boathouse, large concrete dock, (good for fishing or sunbathing)
Other things to note
We love animals BUT NOT at the cottage, sorry, absolutely no pets. NO Smoking . This is a seasonal cottage. The heat source is the wood stove in the kitchen, and electric heaters, one per room. We will be happy to show you how to manage the wood stove to take the chill off in fall or early spring. Please consider the weather when you book and make a reservation; it may be cold and you will have to rely on the wood stove and electric heaters to heat the cottage. The cottage is an older uninsulated summer cottage which can be used in the fall and spring with the addition of wood stove heat, which can make the cottage quite warm and cozy, but will need to be started and tended. Electric heaters can warm rooms more quickly. Water in the cottage is from a beach well, which tests clean but we bring in drinking water anyway. The nearest grocery store is the Shursave in Trumansburg, about 10 min drive. They package their own tasty breakfast sausage! Trumansburg Farmers Market is on Wednesday evening, 4-7 pm for great local food (and music) including the famous Wide Awake Bread.
The cottage was built to be comfortable in summer before air conditioning existed. There is an ice house from back when ice boats delivered a slab of ice to each cottage. We have refrigerators, but the ice house is still a cool place to keep beverages. We have elected not to install air conditioning because there is a cool evening breeze that comes down the hill each night and refreshes warmth that accumulated during the day. We get by with screens in the windows and fans and hope you will also find that comfortable and more sustainable.

The mattresses on the larger beds seem to be the newer "foam" type and I don't always do well with those. However, we all slept very well! Time Peace is a cozy little cottage with a great view. Located right on Seneca Lake with 48 feet of pebble beach lakefront and a nice dock that you can tie your boat to or just lounge on to take in the Seneca Lake Views.

Cottage has one parking space that walks down a few steps or along a sloping driveway to enter the wrap around deck where you can BBQ and have meals while you watch ducks, passing boaters, sunrises or the light show on the lake from the sunsets.

The cozy cottage is studio style with full kitchen, bathroom with stand up shower, low roost type loft. A full sized bed is downstairs along with a couch that pulls out into a full sized bed. The loft space is 2 twin beds that can be pushed together into a King.

Wade in waterfront is perfect for swimming or floating in the waters of Lady Seneca.

The cottage is right off the Seneca Lake wine trail with many wineries within minutes. In addition to the wineries and the lake, we have breweries, hiking, and shopping.

The space
This is the perfect spot to enjoy lake activities and stunning summertime sunsets. A set of stairs leads you down to the lakeside, where you can relax by the water or fish from the shared dock. The gentle, sloping swim area offers an easy entry into the lake. Enjoy an evening campfire at the fire ring by the water’s edge, while relaxing in the surrounding Adirondack chairs. Spend lazy afternoons under the shade of trees or basking in the sun on the grassy lakeside area after a refreshing swim. As evening falls, unwind lakeside around the campfire.

Waneta Lake is known for its excellent fishing, including large-mouth bass, pickerel, bluegill, and more. The most popular catch is the Muskie, often heard jumping at night. Bring your own boat or fish from the 40-foot dock (seasonally, from the end of May to October). If you plan to bring a boat, there is a launch at the south end of the lake, and room to dock it at the lake house during your stay. Please let us know in advance so we can make accommodations. Back-Achers Cottage #1 is located on the west side of Seneca lake half way between Geneva and Watkins Glen. This cottage offers a rustic peaceful get away with a '100 feet of private beach front. Situated on the east side of Waneta Lake just 15 minutes from Hammondsport and 20 minutes from Watkins Glen. Enjoy fishing, swimming, and kayaking right from the back door, or venture out to numerous hiking spots, wineries, and breweries that make the Finger Lakes famous. Central location to enjoy the best of everything the Finger Lakes area has to offer!

The space
This nearly one hundred year old cottage has been recently updated. You'll find a spacious master bedroom with king bed, queen guest room, and open loft area that sleeps two (two twin beds). Modern amenities add comfort to this still-rustic space. Guests should expect a cottage/cabin feel. Expansive deck adds plenty of additional gathering space. Enjoy gorgeous sunsets or soothing rainfall from the covered porch, or head down a few stairs to the lake. Bask in the sun during the day and relax around the fire table at night. Go for a swim, catch some fish, or take the kayaks out to explore the lake. There's about 35 feet of natural lake shoreline with shallow entrance into the water; expect rough terrain, rocks, and weeds - water shoes are highly recommended! Various size life jackets are provided but recommend bringing your own for very small children or extra large guests. An external security camera monitors our main entrance and parking area.

The Chalet at Keuka is a lake lover's dream! Right on the water, you can enjoy panoramic views and beautiful sunsets on the spacious deck, or in one of two Florida rooms! You'll be charmed by our cozy vintage cottage, with interior woodwork created by local artisans. We are in our 13th season of hosting guests from around the US and Europe. You have free use of our paddleboat and 2 kayaks. We offer public water and sanitation, a big plus over cottages with filtered lake water and septic systems.

Wake up to a beautiful view of Seneca Lake at this water front cottage, located just minutes from the village of Watkins Glen, and in the heart of the Finger Lakes Wine Trail. Also just a 20 minute drive to Watkins Glen International Race Track. With three double beds and a pull out couch the cottage sleeps 6 comfortably. Enjoy the large dock for sun bathing and cool off in the lake!

The space
Cool off in the lake on a hot summer day, catch a tan sunbathing on the dock, have a BBQ at the cottage or venture out and enjoy some beverages at one of the many wineries and breweries near by. There is no shortage of relaxation here!

Other things to note
Guests should bring their own drinking water as the water from the sink comes from the lake.

Unfortunately, we do not provide firewood, guests should bring or purchase their own. There are two gas stations in Watkins Glen that normally have firewood for sale. Walmart also normally has firewood. There are also private residences along scattered along Rt. 14 and surrounding areas that have stands set up selling firewood.

Towels are provided but guests should each bring a towel just in case. You can never have enough towels at the lake!

We do have WIFI, the info will be provided upon check inI. Also, the cell Service is good at the cottage and a hot spot can be used if your cell phone provides it.

This charming 2-bedroom cottage is situated on 40 feet of private Waneta Lake frontage. A gently sloping lot with stairs leads you down to a lakeside deck and dock, providing direct access to the water. The central location offers easy access to explore the scenic beauty of the Finger Lakes. Spend your day relaxing by the lake, visiting nearby wineries and breweries, shopping, dining, or hiking. In the evening, return to unwind and watch a stunning sunset lakeside.

The space
The Classic Lake Cottage provides the perfect setting for relaxation and family-friendly fun in a peaceful, quiet area. The spacious kitchen and dining area flow seamlessly into the cozy living room, complete with a sleeper sofa and original stone fireplace. The first floor also features a full bathroom and a bedroom with a queen and twin bed. Upstairs, you'll find a large bedroom with beautiful lake views, a queen and twin bed, and a full bath. The loft area includes a workspace with high-speed internet, ideal for remote work.

Outside, enjoy a covered pavilion with a grill and dining area, a lakeside deck perfect for unwinding, and a deck where you can take in stunning sunsets around a campfire overlooking the lake. Bring your own boat or jet ski, or spend your time fishing from the 32-foot dock. Waneta Lake is renowned for its large-mouth bass, pickerel, bluegill, and more, with the prized Muskie fish often heard jumping at night. For even more lake fun, two single-person kayaks and a paddleboard are available for your use to explore the water.

Our special place sits upon 5 quiet acres on the majestic Seneca Lake. With the large wrap around porch, you will get lost in this beautiful setting while sipping on a glass of wine from many of our local Wineries.

On the inside the first thing you will notice is the open floor plan, granite counter tops, and wall to wall windows with views for days. This property sleeps up to 6 guest, has 2 bedrooms up stairs and a large day room that can act as a 3rd.

We want your stay to be as comfortable as possible. We will supply all your cooking supplies, utensils, pots, pans, dish towels. A BBQ Grill will be supplied with propane.

Take in the stunning views of Waneta Lake from this beautiful year-round cottage. It is a beautiful mix of old and new! It’s the perfect get away to the Finger lakes Region of NY! Centrally located near area wineries, Watkins Glen, Hammondsport, Corning, Geneva, and Penn Yan.
If you are an outdoorsy person, you can golf, boat, swim, hike, kayak and fish! If you prefer, there is antiquing, world-class wineries, restaurants, galleries, breweries and more!

The space
The cottage is quaint and comfortable with original part dating back to 1950. This portion is a true lake cottage with original shiplap and pine flooring. The back faces the water with tons of light filled windows! The upstairs has a spacious Owner's Suite with Private 1/2 bath and balcony. The secondary bedroom has queen bed on the first floor for easy access. The cottage is over 1500 Sq feet with plenty of room for you and your friends and family.
We also have a huge driveway that will fit a boat trailer plus a few cars. Our cottage is located right around the corner from the public boat launch!

Please also keep in mind that the cottage is on a lake in the country. There are lake things and country things like small animals and fish. It is a lake, there is seaweed.
**There is a large step from original cottage into newer part of cottage. Please watch your step!

This waterfront cottage has lots of natural light and windows to watch amazing sunrises and beautiful views of Lake Seneca. Hot tub to add to your relaxing stay.

The space
Enjoy the outdoor and private 50 ft. of lakefront, which has walk in water access. Outdoor living area includes a 3 level deck with outdoor eating and seating options and a 2 person hot tub! Also included, dock with sitting area, fire pit, 3 kayaks, 1 paddle board. Lots to do to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Time to clean up and head to the wineries no problem...jump in the outdoor shower to rinse off! Property also includes gas grill.

Extremely tall individuals may need to duck head in some parts of the bathroom. AC for hot summer months is available which can be hard to find in lakefront cottages!

First level of the cottage is fully available for guests usage. Door to the basement downstairs is locked for safety. Garage is also not accessible, yet there is plenty of free parking spaces outside.

We are adding a beautiful barrel sauna with a panarama window, perfect way to relax and take in the beautiful views of the lake. Perfect for any season!

The green space next to the house is perfect for yard games, fires and relaxing in the hammock.

The water front has a lot to offer - Adult Kayaks (2), youth kayak (2), canoe (1), flippers, dock for jumping off and relaxing. Please access water, and use kayaks/canoe and dock at your own risk.And always use a life jacket!

The house is located 10 minutes away from Penn Yan - close to grocery stores, and restaurants. The house is on well water and Septic tank. The water is well water and sometimes does have an odor. Welcome to Seneca Sunrise Cottage, where nature's beauty awaits you. With its cozy ambiance and awe-inspiring views, you'll feel a sense of belonging right away. Located directly on Seneca Lake, as well as on the FLX wine trail, and only 10 minutes from the famous Watkins Glen State Park, Seneca Sunrise Cottage offers a multitude of experiences. The space
After parking you will walk down the stairs leading towards the sparkling water.
Upon entering the cottage the first thing you'll notice is the beautiful natural sunlight pouring in from the large windows and skylight, which also provide a gorgeous view of Seneca Lake.

You will walk into the kitchen, with the bathroom to your left and the living room directly in front of you. The kitchen has everything you need to make your meals, or to store your delicious leftovers from the nearby wineries/restaurants.

The living room has comfy seating, a 47in smart tv with a fire stick, a gas fireplace for cozy nights, games, and of course another lovely view of the lake.

The master bedroom welcomes you with its king size bed, and hooks and drawers for any storage needs.

The second bedroom provides two single beds with the glorious colors of the sunrise reflected in the decor, and a dresser for storage.

But of course we all know the real draw is the outside! Walk out onto the large deck and you'll find dining seating, an outdoor heater, covered areas to sit and enjoy a soft summer rain, a propane fire table, and plenty of seating to relax and soak in the sounds of Seneca Lake!

As if that wasn't enough, walk further down towards the lake to the boat house where you can recline on loungers soaking in the sun, stretch and move on the yoga mats right on the dock, kayak or stand up paddle board on the lake, or sit in the boat house for same shade, drinking your coffee or wine. There's even a tv available if you desire to hear the laps of the waves at night while watching your favorite show.

Other things to note
There are lake houses on both sides of Seneca Sunrise Cottage so we ask a respectful noise level to be maintained.

A release must be signed if the kayaks and/or SUP wants to be utilized.

Because of the unpredictable nature of Seneca Lake, we ask guests to please bring outside dock furniture in to the boat house if a storm is on the forecast. This will prevent your lovely loungers from going for a swim...it's happened!

Welcome to Seneca Lake! Our place is located 7 miles south of downtown Geneva, NY! Our waterfront cottage is on a secluded dead end, private road. There are literally steps between the back deck and the waterfront! We are in the heart of wine country- with access to over 40 wineries that call Seneca Lake home. Our location has all the best the Finger Lakes region has to offer- restaurants, vineyards, water fun, and the best views!

The space
1,100 sq. ft cottage featuring two bedrooms and one bathroom. Each bedroom hosts a queen size bed. The cottage is open concept, with amazing views of Seneca Lake.

The kitchen has all of the appliances you may need to make your stay feel like home- stove/oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot (standard drip pot), a full size fridge, and dishwasher. The kitchen is stocked with dinnerware, silverware, and basic cookware.
*Please note, we have all the appliances and kitchenware you may need for your stay, but we do not stock any food or drink for guests (including coffee/tea, cream, sugar, spices, oil). Guests must bring in and take out their own goods for consumption.
We have one TV in the cottage (in the main living space). It operates with Roku, connected to the wireless internet located in the cottage. The cottage does not have cable TV at all. You can access your own Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, or home cable provider through the Roku platform.

The open layout is great for gathering and enjoying your time at the lake. The family/living room features large vertical windows that provide the perfect view of the 70 sq. ft of lake frontage. Enjoy the beautiful sunrise from the back deck as you'll have a panoramic view of the sun coming up over the lake!
Have your meals on the back deck, just steps away from the water's edge.
There is a charcoal grill available for use outside as well. Please supply your own charcoal and lighter fluid.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire cottage, deck and yard surrounding the property, and of course the lake and dock! The water is approximately 4 ft' deep from the end of the dock.
The swimming area extends from the grey dock towards the left all the way to the wood toned dock.

The space
1,500 square foot lakeside home with 75' of level lake frontage. Owners also own and rent "Emery Rise on Seneca Lake, Waterfront Escape." Each parcel of property has its own dock (June '17) and it's own separate lake frontage, designated swimming area, and yard to utilize.
The space has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Larger bedroom has King bed. 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed.
Hardwood floors throughout home. The kitchen contains stainless steel appliances (refrigerator and stove) and updated countertops and flooring.

Please note that there is only one TV in the home and it’s located in the main living room. It is a smart tv with app access, but no cable is available! The cottage does have wireless internet for guest use.

We provide all linens and bath towels. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, plates, silverware, etc. The coffee maker is a regular drip pot that will require you to bring your own coffee and filters.

Our space is light, bright, and airy. The windows in the main family room provide a panoramic view of Seneca Lake. The property is level and provides zero entry access right into the lake (no break wall, cliffs, or stairs!). There is also a large Lifetime brand picnic table for alfresco dining. There are Adirondack style (plastic) chairs available to sit by the water or on the dock.

Our space is perfect for a family or two couples who do not mind sharing one bathroom.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire home and surrounding property. Parking is available for 2-3 vehicles.

Welcome to our cozy 4 bedroom 3 bath cottage nestled in scenic Aurora. Enjoy the magical experience of being in a quaint Upstate NY town while still being near all major locations. A quick drive to Ithaca, Cornell/IC, and most wineries! Easy lake access plus ample space makes this a perfect family getaway. Aurora is a small town, so the whole place is one big Neighborhood. With great restaurants, scenic walks, and a lake in your backyard, this is one neighborhood you'll never want to leave!

The space
The home has a large gravel driveway with parking for 3-4 cars. Outside you will find a spacious yard and deck for soaking up the summer sun or taking in the fall views. Upon parking in the driveway, guests will enter the home through the front door on the side deck. We use a self check-in process, so no waiting around on keys! After entering the home, you are greeted by a bright, open kitchen perfect for cooking. Bar stool seating and a dining area gives plenty of seating options for the whole group with a TV to entertain those not cooking. A half bath is located just off the kitchen, as is laundry.

Continuing through, a spacious yet cozy den with two plush couches is off the living room. A TV is included for nights in. Off of the den is a charming bedroom with piano and queen bed. A screened in porch is also off of the den for the outdoor lovers.

Moving upstairs, a bright and spacious primary bedroom greets guests at the top. Ample storage, an attached bathroom, plentiful natural light, and a TV are just a few things to expect! The attached primary bath gives both standing shower or bath options via an Americana style tub. A towel warmer is also available for those brisk NY nights.

Down the hall guests will find two more bedrooms: one with another queen bed and one with two twin beds. Each bedroom offers the same airy, filled with natural light feeling as the primary. A desk is included in the queen bedroom for those who need to get work done as well! A third bathroom is located by the two bedrooms for ease of access.

The outdoor areas give ample space for enjoying the scenery and outdoors. A firepit in the yard is a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the area. Lake access is also available across the road for swimming or fishing!

All spaces are set up for guests, but please note that the detached barn is off limits. Parking is available for around 3 cars. The large yard and back deck are also available!

Other things to note
Please note that we have a strict no smoking, no parties/events, and no pets policy. Our neighbors are close and the neighborhood is tight-knit, so we kindly ask that outside noise is limited after 9:00pm. There are also 5 parking spots available for guests. Please also note that all STR guests will be subject to New York Penal Law §240.20 or any successor statute regarding disorderly conduct.

Charming 1940’s seasonal cottage on Cayuga Lake. Enjoy lake access, swimming, kayaking, fishing, and evenings by the fire. It’s the perfect get away to relax and unwind. Located close to Taughannock Falls State park and on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail. Lots to see and do around the area. Visit the quaint Village of Trumansburg, or head into Ithaca or Watkins Glen, both just a short drive.

The space
This is a charming seasonal cottage. No central AC but there is a portable unit in the upstairs bedroom. We have electric baseboard heat on main floor of cottage.
There are stairs from the parking area to the cottage and from the cottage to the lake, so please keep that in mind.
Water source is lake water. Fresh water is supplied for drinking and cooking.

Guest access
Entire cottage and boathouse.
No access to the boat on the lift is permitted. There are no boat lift privileges and no overnight mooring permitted.

Sometimes the Finger Lakes can experience rain, wind and thunder storms during summer months. We can’t predict the weather or New York State Electric and Gas power outages that might result from a storm. We are not responsible for power outages or bad weather that might occur during your stay. We always hope for the best sunny days and hope your stay will be filled with fun.

The space
This two-bedroom, multi-level, apartment is in a two-unit, late-century home located directly on Cayuga Lake.  

It features amazing lake views from every level, of all three floors.

The first floor, entrance area, houses the bathroom and first bedroom with a full-sized bed.  On the second level, you’ll find the living room and the second bedroom with a king-sized bed with a spectacular view of the lake. The living room is furnished with a sleeper sofa to accommodate two guests, if needed. This floor also features a large sun deck, overlooking the lake where you can relax and enjoy the scenery. The kitchen is located on the third/bottom floor and equipped with cooking utensils and coffee makers. The kitchen, also, offers direct access to the lake-level deck and outdoor dining/bbq area.

The space
Very special Keuka Lake cottage on a quiet street in a highly desirable high-end neighborhood with miles of lakeside walking in either direction. Lots of room for outdoor entertaining and gathering at the water, on the new deck or up at the house. Either way, you have unsurpassed views of the lake. Spend all day floating on a raft, sitting on the dock, boating, fishing, and swimming. Parking in driveway for 2 cars and 2-3 more at street.

The lakefront has beach to wade in or you can jump off the end of the dock right in! Plenty of seating for lounging and eating and a fire pit with Adirondack chairs. Two kayaks available for use.

The cottage, which is situated up by the street, has amazing views of the lake and has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. House has a galley style kitchen filled with sun, with all the amenities including a dishwasher, coffee bar and everything you will need to cook or bake for a special family meal. Or grill outside on the Weber while enjoying the views. On the front of the cottage is a large screened-in porch great for meals, relaxing and watching the boats go by. Cottage sleeps 7 in new, comfortable mattresses. There is a Washer/ Dryer in the bathroom. We provide clean sheets and towels and as you will see from our reviews, everything is clean and fresh.

So much to do in the area, our house is close to so much. Walk or ride a bike to the Olney Place for coffee and breakfast. Wineries and public golf course right up the street. Penn Yan restaurants and groceries 10 minutes by car. Canandaigua 30 min by car with restaurants, shopping, Roseland Water Park and CMAC. Have your kids bring bikes, skateboards, and roller blades!

Park at the road, descend down steps to enter into the main floor of the house.

On the main floor, there is the kitchen, living room, half bath, and one bedroom that includes a sofa bed, a desk and laundry.

The living room opens to an open air deck that overlooks the lake. There is a dining table and BBQ grill there. From this deck, you can descend down to the beach via stairs.

From the main level, ascend upstairs to 3 bedrooms and 1 full bath.

The beach is 50 ft wide and has a fire pit and dock with mooring whips for a boat. Plus 2 kayaks.

The large private beach and boat dock are a rarity in the area. There is lots of room to wade from the shore into the refreshing cool water – or jump from the dock. Other things to note
We recently added an air conditioner to the back living room, where the queen sized bed is. It does a nice job cooling the living room and kitchen on days when it is needed. We have not been able to figure out (yet) how to put a unit in the windows upstairs. But there are a ton of windows , both upstairs and downstairs that create a nice cross breeze most of the time. At night the windows on the east side typically have a cool wind coming down from the hills, even on hot days. When really hot, we find if you keep the windows upstairs shut and blinds/curtains closed in the day, then open everything up at night, it will be quite comfortable.

Guests have access to the whole property however, a dedicated portion of the lakefront is used by our guests from Ripley’s Roost. The swim float and fire pit area are used jointly and a great opportunity to make new friends.

Other things to note
Due to abuse by previous guests, The Cottage in the Pines will NOT allow Bachelor or Bachelorette type parties to take place. Any such party taking place will be reported to AirBnB and an additional $1000 fee will be assessed. To this end, we will no longer accept reservation requests from guests with fewer than three reviews and a 4 star rating.
