Welcome to "Sunset Haven”! A 2 bedroom, 1 bath picturesque lakefront cottage located on the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York State. This property features upper & lower decks, a relaxing 6-person hot tub, a private dock with a large sun deck, a 7ft waterslide, and 2 boat lifts. Fish off the dock, float on a tube (we can rent ours!), relax in the oversized hammock or enjoy a paddle in the 2 kayaks provided for use.

This 2 bedroom, 1 bath property can sleep up to 6 guests and has parking for 4 vehicles. It features upper and lower decks with panoramic views of the lake, a lower waterside patio area with a relaxing 6-person hot tub available for use year-round, a private dock with a large sun deck and a 7 ft waterslide,1 sling boat lift (2000lb max),1 cradle boat lift (4000lb max). Cast a line off the dock for some great fishing, float peacefully in an inflatable tube (we have 2 available for rental!), relax in the oversized hammock or enjoy a paddle around the lake in the 2 kayaks provided for use.

Get up early to see the change in the color of the hills across the lake as the sun rises or watch an afternoon storm roll down the lake leaving the air clean and fresh. Enjoy the lake breeze and the sound of waves lapping against the dock. Fish off the end of the dock in one of the best fishing spots on the lake or enjoy a paddle around the lake in a kayak. Parking can accommodate vehicles with boat trailers. Bring your boat and use the 4000lb (max) boat lift will accommodate a 16' to a 22' boat. If your short on toys, a swim raft and a canoe with a built in ice chest are supplied for your enjoyment.

Occupancy: This property is closely monitored for responsible renting. The maximum occupancy of each home is the number of guests allowed on the premises at any given time. This includes both day and overnight guests as well as all children including infants.

- "This cottage is RIGHT ON the water. It was perfect for a couple's getaway. The kitchen was well stocked and I enjoyed sitting in the sun porch with a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. The docks and deck were nice for fishing and for just sitting to enjoy the lake. And because the cottage is about 35 steps down from the road it was VERY quiet. My only complaint is with the management company and the fees. The listing said that linens and towels were included, but we were charged a linen service fee. And on top of that was the processing fee, reservation fee, non-refundable damage insurance fee, the cleaning fee and pet fee. So the advertised price/night is VERY misleading. With taxes it ended up being almost double. This was a last minute getaway so we did it, but I'm not sure I would say that this cute little cottage was worth that much. I emailed the management company regarding the linen fee and some maintenance items that needed attention, and did not get a reply from them."

Guests tell me the photos don't do the cottage and property justice. Read our reviews. Very private. Clean. Lots of space. Drive down to the beach. The East side of Seneca Lake has lots of sun and beautiful sunsets. 100 foot dock. New windows, doors and mini-split ac/heat. Ten miles from Geneva for shopping, movies, and food. Two Five Star restaurants within 15 miles. Each year we renovate another part of our little cottage and many of our guests and their pets return every year. One bedroom with two double beds and a large living room with one pull out couch can sleep 4. Cottage is 880 square feet so best for 2-4 people. Minimum stay is 3 nights except July and August when we only rent by the week (Saturday 3 pm to Saturday 10 am). Cozy but may be too small for anyone 6 foot 2 or over. New kitchen appliances, cupboards, air conditioning, and microwave. We added a pellet stove for visits in the early spring or late fall for wine tours, an aluminum boat for fishing, a canoe and 2 kayaks for sunsets on the lake. Enjoy the quiet - pets welcome. Guests and their pets return every year. One of the few places with no stairs to the lake. Everyone enjoys swimming in the lake, laying on the dock, visiting the wineries (we have three within 7 miles and a brewery) and local restaurants. Others have ventured to Ithaca, Rochester, and Canandaigua to visit museums, gourmet restaurants, and historic sites. The bedroom is above the lake so when you wake up in the morning, you can see right onto the lake. The kitchen and dining area are on the bottom floor and look right onto the water. There are many places to walk including a two mile hike up to Sampson State Park.

If you need to get away from the stress of your life, this is the place.

Enjoy the Lake: This is NOT for you IF you want a high energy vacation. See the herons land on the dock each evening and the ducklings come by each morning. The waves will rock you to sleep. Swim and kayak during the day. Take out the rowboat to fish. Have beach fires at night and visit our many wonderful wineries, breweries, and restaurants nearby. WIFI but no cable TV (just DVD movies). We suggest you relax and get away. This is truly the country and as our friend Simon says, "They aren't building any more lakes."

As soon as you turn down our private lane, you'll transition to the feeling of peacefulness. The cottage is on a dead end street limiting traffic to the locals. There is plenty of parking that can accommodate up to six cars. Easy access to the cottage with a level lot makes unpacking a breeze. Upon entering the cottage, you'll feel the warmth and coziness of the home with lake views and a bright open floor plan.

Our home offers 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds and pillow top mattresses, pull out couch with queen memory foam mattress, 2 full bathrooms, and a separate laundry room. A fully stocked kitchen will provide you with everything you need to cook an amazing meal for your family. The kitchen has plenty of cupboard and counter space for easy meal preparation. A full pantry is available for your personal food. Dining area includes room for 6 or serve dinner on the deck while enjoying the amazing lake view. The living room is spacious and has comfortable seating. On a cold winter's night, cozy up in the rocker, turn on the fireplace and watch the snow gently falling over the lake offering an entirely new experience!

Head down to the beach and enjoy some fishing off the dock, take a swim to cool off, sit around the fire pit, play a few yard games or just grab a lounger and soak up the sun.

Our home offers high speed internet, satellite TV, television in the master bedroom & streaming TV in the living room, fully stocked kitchen, grill, yard games, corn hole, board games, puzzles, a small library of books, DVD's & VHS's, 2 kayaks w/life vests, small variety of swimming floats, fishing poles.

We are conveniently located half way on the west side of the lake so a drive in either direction to Geneva or Watkins Glen is convenient. Penn Yan is about 8 miles away and offers shopping, restaurants, grocery store & gas. Variety of restaurants, wineries and breweries to choose from.
