- "Awesome place!" - "The photos are accurate. The home was clean and comfortable and I can’t say enough about the view and the property. We enjoy the outside as much as the inside communication with the property manager was a little on the slow side, but they were very nice and accommodating once we spoke. No complaints. The only downside in the home is that the oven doesn’t work all that well. Took forever to roast anything but no problem, we found plenty of great restaurants to enjoy and spent less time cooking and cleaning! The landscaping is gorgeous and the patio and deck in the back is incredible. The view is beautiful all day long, not just the sunrise. And we even got to watch a thunderstorm from the living room. What a treat to just launch my paddleboard right from the dock in front of the house without having to load it in and out of my car. It was wonderful being able to pull up right to the dock in a rented pontoon boat to pick up our family and then drop them off. My grandkids enjoyed playing on the beach with their bubbles and yard toys. They were so sad to leave and took an extra few minutes to say goodbye to the house before we left. The home is spacious and our family was able to spread out, relax, and just enjoy ourselves without getting in each other’s way. There were plenty of toys and games all throughout the house to keep everyone busy. The air hockey table was a real treat! Highly recommend this home."

Built in 1920, this vintage Cottage-on-the Lake features a large lakeside porch with spectacular views. It provides comfortable seating for 12-14 to enjoy meals, sunsets, or just relax with coffee or a glass of wine. The dining room is a great place to gather for a meal, board games or cards. The flat screen television in the living room has DirecTV service and a DVD player. The screened back porch is a comfy spot to read or watch the bocce players go at it. A well-stocked kitchen has an abundance of dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc. as well as the standard amenities: refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, stove, dishwasher, disposal, and microwave. The laundry room has a full-size washer and dryer.

The upstairs bedrooms include 2 family suites, a private double bedroom and a lake view single bedroom. Each family suite has a queen bed with an adjoining room, separated by double doors, that has a double bed. The master family suite has a full bathroom attached. There is another full bath upstairs. On the first floor there is a single bedroom and nearby half bathroom. The cottage sleeps 14 if all beds are full. The cottage is not air-conditioned but the lake and shade usually keep the temperatures in the comfortable range. Several fans are provided if needed.

The cottage sits on a huge grassy lot with many large trees and shrubs. There is an abundance of play space and room to breathe!

The lake-level patio with tables and umbrellas is great for sunbathing or sitting in the shade while watching people swim. Fishing off the dock can be a fun way to enjoy the lake. A buoy is provided to anchor your boat.

Lovely old home on Canandaigua available, with dock, 3600 pound hoist, and 50' lake frontage. Sleeps eight, plus futon on porch and pullout bed in main-room couch. New kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, etc. New floor throughout main floor. No TV, no chrome, no plastic, for we enjoy the lake instead. On east side and our sunsets are gorgeous. Fire pit, plenty of chairs, and picnic table lakeside. Lovely vacation spot.

This charming cottage is lake side, on the east side of Canandaigua Lake, which travel surveys say competes with Tahoe as "the prettiest lake in the country". This house sits on Nibawauka Beach, serviced by a private road coming off East Lake Road that leads to a private access road for all the cottages on the Beach. Our neighbors are wonderful people and many of them are year-round residents.

The lake itself is about 15 miles long, varies from three miles wide to just over one mile wide at our spot, and largely is 300-450 feet deep. It was cut by glaciers that covered the area 12,000 years ago, and most of the streams feeding it flow from south to north. Its waters are the source of drinking water for dozens of towns and cities on its borders. It has dozens of types of fish in it and myriad animals live on its slopes.

There are a couple of families with active children. So we tell prospective renters right away that this is not a "party house". It is a lovely spot on a lovely lake but if you're interested in late night action you should look elsewhere.

The house is lovely, but basic, and sleeps eight. No TV---but you're welcome to bring your own. A Bose radio is included. Wi-fi is available. There are four bedrooms, a fold-out couch on the front (lakeside) room, and a futon on the porch . The dining room table seats eight or ten. New floor throughout main floor. The living room has three comfortable arm chairs and the large sofa, as well as a very efficient gas heater for the "cool" days. The kitchen has a gas stove, plenty of pots and pans, plenty of dishes and glasses, standard electric "fridge" and freezer, and lots of light. Cuisinart ice cream maker. There is a full bathroom upstairs and a toilet in the barn out back. We are on city water, city gas, and city plumbing.

Outside, the front (lakeside) lawn has a large picnic table with benches, another smaller round table with four separate chairs, and several very comfortable old "sitting" chairs. Shade is provided by a maple on one side and three shade trees on the other, but the middle of the lawn is open and sunny The lake is down a flight of concrete steps to a concrete dock and an extended aluminum dock that leads out about fifty feet. The water at the end of that dock is only about 5 feet deep. An adult can walk out about 100' into the lake and still have his/her head above water. Several times a day several families of ducks paddle calmly past us, but we don't feed them. The Canandaigua Yacht Club is directly across from us and the weekend races are delightful to watch from our front lawn. City-run fireworks are easily seen from the lawn. The sun and moon set calmly over the hills on the other side of the lake over a mile away.
We have a sturdy boat hoist that is listed to handle up to 3600 pounds of boat. It is electrically powered to lift and lower. Fishing is productive at times right off the end of the dock, and certainly better if one takes a boat out into the lake. Rock bass, sunfish, perch, "punkin seeds", etc. are commonly caught and released. Pickerel, large- and small-mouth bass, three species of trout, and catfish are also caught in the lake.

The "barn" in not included in the rental program. But it has a fully functional toilet in a room just inside the back door that is very convenient. The lawn between the house and barn is a pleasant place to sit and let the world go by. Garbage service is included in the rental and is collected once a week. Adequate parking is provided just off the beach road beyond the barn on our "very back yard". We are starting some small silver maples to replace someday the big ones along the private road, so please don't drive over the little ones. Thank you.

The nearest grocery store is about a mile and a half north and it's WEGMANS, on Rt 5&20 just past the Post Office and before the larger shopping center a bit further west on 5&20. Walmart's, Lowe's, and the movie theater are all around the same distance from the cottage on 5&20 to the east. Canandaigua itself has numerous restaurants of all types. The town's Main Street is wide, with flowers in the business area, and has lovely stately homes in the residential area to the north. Finger Lakes Community College is a mile north on East Lake Road and hosts musical programs in its CMAC outdoor pavilion nearly every week during the summer. Tennis courts are there. Kershaw Park is at the north end of the lake, about a mile by boat from our site, and has a large sand beach with wadable water out nearly 200 yards. We hope you never need it, but Canandaigua's excellent Thompson Memorial Hospital, associated with the University of Rochester Medical Center, is only a short distance away from us. Ambulance service is efficient.

Finger Lakes is a special area of New York. A resort area for going-on two hundred years. Explore it and you'll see why. Waterfalls, specialty shops, horse racing, antique shops, Indian Villages, Morman church historical sites, AAA baseball teams, Corning Glass Museum, Niagara Falls, Lake Ontario, Canada is nearby just past the Thousand Islands area. Those are only some of the attractions you could visit. Enjoy!!!
In short, our cottage is in a particularly nice location, privately situated but with easy access to amenities, golf, wineries, and local attractions. Ice cream shops are a short boat ride away, as are good restaurants. Sunsets are miraculously beautiful. Strawberry Cottage is nestled half way down the west side of Canandaigua Lake in a private, wooded setting. The driveway from West Lake Road leads down to this charming lake home, situated just above the lake and surrounded by mature trees, providing a feeling of seclusion and peace.

Built in 1939, Strawberry Cottage offers guests the look and feel of days gone by along with modern conveniences. Beautiful wood paneled walls, a gorgeous field stone fireplace, and an eclectic blend of antique and modern furniture create a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere to enjoy your private getaway.

The main entry in the rear of the cottage leads into the spacious living room, which features a flat screen cable TV, sofas, lounge chairs, and a card/breakfast table overlooking the lake. To the left is a hallway that leads to the first floor laundry and half bath. To the right is a set of French doors that open out to the airy and spacious sunporch. Here guests can sit down to a meal at the dining table that seats 8, situated just off the kitchen, or enjoy conversation or good book on the comfortable sofas and chairs facing the water and outdoor living area. The charming country kitchen is located just off the living room and sunroom, and features beautiful, country farmhouse style cabinetry and plenty of kitchen ware for cooking large meals at home.

The stairs in the rear of the living room lead upstairs to the generous sleeping accommodations. At the south end of the hallway is the master bedroom, which contains a queen bed and a full sleeper sofa, a master bathroom with an old fashioned, clawfoot tub with a shower ring, and a small covered balcony overlooking the outdoor living area. To the left of the stairs is a bedroom with a queen bed, and an additional bedroom with 2 twin beds. Across the hall is a full bathroom with a shower. The north end of the hall leads to an additional two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, and the other with 2 twin beds and a full sleeper sofa, and a full bathroom across the hall with a shower/tub combo.

Directly outside the sunporch is a gravel patio, with garden furniture and a grassy area at the top of the stairs for outdoor games. The boardwalk in the front of the property continues to the stairs leading to the deck above the lake and the lakefront. There is natural, pebble beach on the south side of the huge permanent dock, which allows for gradual entry and wading.

Minor things..fans not dusted and they were needed...toilet seat on one toilet too short pinches kids and needs to be to correct size and dryer was only nominally working. Would stay again" - "Recently rented strawberry cottage for a week. We had a large group so we needed the room that this place provides. There was plenty of space for everybody. (We had 11 altogether) There are a fair number of steps down to the water but good railings on the steps and a nice observation deck 1/2 way down. The water quality is good for swimming, but the bottom is rocky and the zebra mussels make water shoes a must. Half of the dock is quite new and made of synthetic material, so no splinters. The other half of the dock needs a few boards replaced but was generally sound to walk-on. There are a few minor drawbacks including the lack of a fire pit for campfires. The master bathroom does not have a shower. ( old-fashioned clawfoot bathtub) The kitchen was well equipped and all the appliances worked properly. There were no instructions for using the TV and we were unable to get the cable working. I did call and left a message for a maintenance person but my call was not returned. A few of the screens were torn and needed replacing. One of the sliding doors did not have a latch which could have been a security issue. There is no air conditioning but there is generally a nice breeze and the ceiling fans helped as well. Caught several fish off the dock. The location is close enough to either Canandaigua Or Naples that it’s easy to go there for dinner."

Generous lakeside lawn! Dock and mooring good for water sports! Our two-cottage compound is ideal for an extended family vacation. During midsummer we rent the two cottages as a unit. Each cottage is fully equipped with kitchen and bath (two baths, in one case), fireplace, and screened porch. They share a large lawn with about 200 feet of level lakefront. If you are like our family, the group includes some active, athletic members and some who prefer to spend their vacation napping in the hammock or doing jigsaw puzzles. This set-up gives you a great combination of family togetherness and privacy.

Our 8-acre property is next to Menteth Creek and looks due south, toward Bare Hill and the receding hills of Naples. We enjoy a stunning view from the west side of Canandaigua Lake!

This property has been in the same family since 1922. The Stone Cottage was built in 1969, replacing an earlier cottage. It has a great room with stone fireplace, cathedral ceiling, living-dining room, and an open stair up to the master suite. The kitchen has a pass-through to the screened dining porch with built-in grill. The living room has a sliding glass door to an open porch enclosed by a low stone wall. There is a rear porch off the kitchen with clotheslines for bathing suit and towel drying. The two first-floor bedrooms have twin beds and a full bath. One of these includes a window air conditioner. The upstairs master suite has a king size bed and a bath with shower. This house also has laundry facilities. Overall occupancy is six, and square footage is about 1600. An extra bonus - a grand piano!

The smaller cottage was built in 1948 for our grandmother -- we call it Gram's House. If you visited your grandmother at a lakefront cabin, this cottage will seem very familiar. It has a large screened porch across the whole front of the house, with a dining room table that expands to seat ten -- also a chaise longue and wicker chairs, and a pass-through to the kitchen. The living room and kitchen are knotty pine with a stone fireplace. The house has three bedrooms, one with queen, one with twins, and one with a twin bed, plus one full-size bath. Occupancy is five, and square footage is about 900 square feet.

The property has level lawns surrounding the cottages, plenty of parking space, and a large open field between the cottages and West Lake Road. There is a tennis court (fair condition, shared) on the property, and lawn area for croquet, badminton, or frisbee. Our lakefront has a stone breakwall in front of the houses, a 16-foot dock with ladder, a swim raft and a shale beach (perfect for stone skipping). Lake bottom is shale. Visitors will have the use of one rowboat, two two-person kayaks, and two one-person kayaks. We do not offer the use of any motorized boats or a hoist. However, we do have a mooring for motorboats, and past guests have brought their own or rented a boat for daytime use from a nearby marina. The shale beach area is level, so you can back a trailer to the lake and launch your small or mid-sized boat from there. The property has plenty of mature shade trees and perennial gardens. We have a large and heavily used bonfire spot near the beach. Indoors, there is no dishwasher, but we do have a washer and dryer, streaming TV, internet access, WiFi, and a VCR and DVD player.

We only rent for a few weeks a year, typically in July and August, though we sometimes add some May, June, or September weeks to our schedule. We do allow up to three cats and/or dogs pursuant to a pet fee. Dogs must be well-behaved and under 50 lbs.

We had 8 adults and two young children. Everyone had comfortable sleeping arrangements, bathrooms were adequate, and the kitchens were well equipped for putting together family meals. There's a large table on the porch of Gram's cottage where we enjoyed our evening dinners. Our hosts provided us with an orientation to the property and kept in touch with us throughout our stay. Any questions or concerns that we had were addressed promptly. The location on Canandaigua Lake provides a gorgeous view of the lake. The property has a large lawn area between the cottages that our grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed. There are so many nice areas to hang out, including a rope hammock that the children enjoyed sharing with an adult. Access to the water is easy and there is a large shallow area near the shore that is perfect for playtime in the lake. The hosts provide a kayak and a canoe, and life jackets in a variety of sizes. The kayak was very popular with our family and was used everyday; sometimes multiple times during the day. When searching VRBO, the cottages appeared to be exactly what I was looking for. I was not disappointed!"

Located on beautiful Canandaigua Lake in Upstate New York this waterfront cottage is on Deep Run Cove a quiet private road just off East Lake Road four miles from the north end of the lake (Routes 5 & 20). Situated in a tranquil cove this property boasts quiet calm crystal clear water in the morning and spectacular evening sunsets. A short walk down this charming private road is Deep Run Park, a small public beach with life-guarded swimming.

This property has only 5 steps, as well as, a ramp leading to the cottage from the ample parking area. Once you are on cottage level there are no steps to enter from the roadside of the cottage allowing for easy accessibility.

The first floor includes a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy living room, dining room, full bathroom with shower/bathtub and a bedroom furnished with a queen bed. The first floor also boasts a sunroom that provides a spectacular view of Canandaigua Lake. When you are not outside enjoying everything this cottage property has to offer the sunroom is bound to become your favorite room in the cottage.

The cottage is 4 miles from Route 5 & 20 – so its close to everything….. Roseland Waterpark, CMAC, plenty of shopping including Wal-Mart for that last-minute 'anything' you forgot to pack, the famous Wegman's Grocery, the New York Wine and Culinary center, movies, fine dining, take-out restaurants, clothes shopping, gift shops, pharmacy, concerts, book stores, wineries, etc.

Driving a little further will take you to the Finger Lakes Racetrack and Casino.
If you prefer an afternoon of shopping, visit the Waterloo Premium Outlet Center for some fantastic bargains or visit the renowned Eastview mall (30 minutes away) where you will find many high end stores and of course many more restaurants.

Just up the path from the private deeded swimming beaches, our newly remodeled cottage (after last year‘s devastating destruction by a tree) has been carefully decorated to ensure comfort to make you feel at home. This 2 bedroom 1.5 bath cottage has many spaces to enjoy including the enclosed porch & back deck.

The space
You will find everything you need: a washer and dryer, a loaded kitchen, a DVD player, 2 flat screen televisions with Roku. The back-yard features a large deck, lots of seating and a table and chairs and a gas grill. The front yard has a fire pit.
In the master bedroom there is a full bed and adjoining bathroom. There are 2 twin beds in the bright and lively 2nd bedroom and a ½ bathroom with a full-size washer and dryer off the hall. You will certainly enjoy the lovely enclosed front porch which highlights a day bed for relaxing or sleeping. The living room has a sofa with a pull-out queen Tempur-Pedic mattress. There is a window air conditioning unit that keeps the cottage cool and forced air heating for those cold fall and winter days and nights.

The Dollhouse has 2 BRs (2 full beds), kitchen, bath, liv. rm, WiFi, cable, patio, BBQ, outdoor fireplace, picnic table, 2 kayaks and 100 ft. shared beach. They are ideal for a large family, or group of friends that want to vacation together but still want a little privacy too. These cottages are not directly on the water but just a few hundred ft to the swimming beach.

These cottages are 5 miles to Canandaigua where you’ll find fine dining, shopping, hiking, fishing, and farmers markets. Both cottages are only a few steps to beautiful Canandaigua Lake. The space
This is a beautiful lake-adjacent single family house. We are not directly on the water but instead are about 70 feet from Deep Run Park Beach. This sandy beach is staffed during the summer months with lifeguards on duty for your safety.

Canadaigua Lake is the finest lake of the Finger Lakes region. Canadaigua Art and Music Center, the local wineries, Lincoln hill farms, restaurants, shopping, and a quaint little downtown make Canandaigua Lake with its crystal clear water the best of the Finger Lake. And yes we are just 7 minutes from Wegmans!!! If you’re traveling with your family a Lakeside retreat will keep your mind at ease as opposed to a Lakefront house. Have the peace of mind that your children will be safe throughout your stay as this house doesn’t have a private dock and they cannot just walk right into the water from this location. Deep Run Beach has lifeguards on duty and it’s just 70 feet away from your front door

Deep Run Beach is open for swimming and picnics from Memorial Day through Labor Day. There are 8 picnic tables, grills and restrooms available for public use. The beach has an on-duty lifeguard from 10:00am - 9:00pm. Take a dip in the lake to cool off from the summer sun and enjoy a good meal with friends and family! Only service pets are allowed in the park.

We have a very small, but dedicated work space, just across from the bedroom.

There is a grill and a fire pit .

We have 2 (two) tandem kayak (2 person) for you to enjoy on Canadaigua lake and 4 life vests.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire property, including a small putting green, tiki bar, back patio, fire pit, Adirondack chairs. There are two tandem kayaks and paddles for you to enjoy. There is a very small dedicated workspace just outside the bedroom.

All season house in historic Crystal Beach/Cottage City. Minutes walk to Eastside Bar and Grill, deemed Canandaigua’s secret gem with LIVE music and great margaritas. Lake access is 500 ft (1 minute walk) to launch kayaks, paddle boards, or (very) small boats and a great place to watch stunning sunsets over Canandaigua Lake. St. George’s Grocery is also a short walk, with an ice cream counter and sub shop— also select groceries and beer. Boatworks is 1 mile away for boat rentals and launch.

Spacious (1800 sq ft) 3 level home with Canandaigua Lake access. 4 bedroom (2 King, 2 Queen) and 2.5 bathroom— plenty of space for everyone. On demand hot water heater offers endless hot showers with excellent water pressure. Lower level suite includes wet bar, large screen TV, and private bathroom. Pocket doors can be closed for added privacy or loud football games on the big screen tv. First floor office with attached private bathroom. There is a south facing deck/patio and a north facing deck— perfect for outdoor dining and sun lounging. Enjoy the fire pit any night of the year— some wood included. Located in a semi secluded, somewhat woody area, lots of parking. The layout of the original Cottage City remains, with the convenience of quiet, low traffic roads to wander safely and quietly. Close to Canandaigua City, Naples, and Bristol Mountain. 4 miles to CMAC performing arts center, Star Cider& Wegmans.
