About Us:
Grouse Haven Cabin was built in 2003-2004 by the current owners. The cabin was named Grouse Haven because while we were building we could hear the Grouse birds in the area “drumming”. The cabin is secluded in a red pine forest with lots of Mother Nature in its surroundings. There are trails for hiking and cross-country skiing. There is also a picnic area located at the lower end of the 90-acre property that you can get to by hiking trails. The cabin is located in the heart of the Finger Lakes with close proximity to Penn Yan, Hammondsport, Watkins Glen, 2-3 miles to Keuka Lake State Park, the Finger Lakes wineries, micro breweries, Keuka college, and more.

- "very nice spot, very quiet, close to area amenities" - "Visited the Finger Lakes for a few days. Location in Penn Yan was perfect; not too far from Keuka and Seneca Lakes. Nearby towns offered plenty of options for restaurants & stores. Relatively quick, scenic drives to and around the lakes. The cabin was as advertised. It is small with few amenities but clean and in a great location. We enjoyed being able to walk right to the outlet rail trail each morning to get a few miles in before we hit the wineries. We did not spend much time at the property itself, but the grounds were taken care of and the owners provided lawn activities & a nice fire pit. While the bathroom & shower are outside of the cabin, they are clean and were not an inconvenience to us. The cabin is near a “main road” but we barely heard/saw any traffic. It was very quiet. The listing’s pictures and descriptions are very accurate…what you see is what you get. The owner was very responsive & made sure we had everything we needed."

Kitchen has silverware, dishes for 6 as well as pots and pans for cooking. Enjoy cooking outside on the Weber grill, LP gas included. This property is located just 7 miles south of Geneva NY and Hobart and William Smith College. Enjoy 7 local wineries within 5 miles of the property. We are just a half mile from Fox Run Vineyards and walking distance to Weavers-View Farm Barn Weddings. There is also an additional 3 season space fully enclosed with windows all around. Other items included are stove/oven, refrigerator,microwave. Roy's Marina has boat rentals just a short distance away, so you can enjoy fishing, skiing or tubing on the lake. Nothing can be tied to the dock due to destruction of the dock and watercraft. I have one smaller spare boat hoist that can handle up to 16 or 17 foot boat
We have outside security surveillance for the security of our property and insurance purposes. There are NO cameras inside any part of the residence. We have two cameras, one is located off the back ( driveway Side of the house) and one is located off the basement door and covers that area.

The space:
Vintage decor and hand-plastered walls combine with brand-new furnishings and an open floor plan to provide a uniquely relaxing atmosphere. (The cottage was built in 2022. Please note, that the final exterior layer of plaster on the outside of the cottage is being completed this summer. This will not impact your stay whatsoever).

Walk to the cottage from the private driveway along a short 100' path. We provide a cart to make it easier for you to carry your luggage. There are two wide steps to climb which bring you to the large covered porch.

Outside, enjoy the porch with chairs, table, a double and a single hammock, new (in 2024) propane grill and fire pit with Adirondack chairs (wood is provided).

Upon entering the cottage, a small nook framed in repurposed local barn wood provides a bench and hooks to hang your coat and leave your shoes. To your left are stairs to the LOFT, complete with an all-natural mattress, bamboo pillows and cotton sheets. Two windows, an open-style railing, a view of the living room and high ceilings in the middle of the loft ensure a spacious and cozy feel. **Please note, the stairs to the loft are steeper than normal steps. We suggest using the railing.

Windows surround the LIVING ROOM, a couch and chaise lounge, invite you to relax. The wood stove provides a cozy atmosphere and plenty of warmth for winter renters. Fiber optic WIFI with a wireless router keeps you connected for streaming to your favorite shows or working remotely.
**Extra Bed: The couch can be used as a twin bed for sleeping upon request for linens.

The full KITCHEN has a refrigerator, freezer, gas stove, gas oven, tea kettle, pots, pans, cookware, silverware, dishes, toaster oven, dish towels, oil, basic spices, organic coffee, french press and organic tea (Note: there is no microwave and only hand towels - NOT paper towels - are provided).

Off the living space is a full BATHROOM, complete with a large tiled shower, sink, vanity, toilet and shelves to store your toiletries. A bath towel, hand towel and washcloth are provided for each guest. All natural hand and body soaps are also provided.

HEAT/AC: HEAT is provided by a large space heater or the wood stove. Guests should plan to use the stove if temps are below 20 degrees. Wood for the wood stove is provided. There is no AC in the cottage, although the 12-inch thick straw-and-plaster walls are built to naturally keep the temperature comfortable in both summer and winter, and all the windows are operable.

The GROUNDS and Property: The cottage is on the grounds of our farm, Wellspring Forest Farm, a small family-run agroforestry farm producing mushrooms, pastured lamb and maple syrup. In warmer months, the sheep occasionally graze near the cottage as they rotate through our 20 acres.

A short distance from the front of the cottage, there is a .8-mile NATURE TRAIL available all year round to cottage guests (seasonally, the trail can be very wet). The trail is used occasionally by guests of our other rental from May - October; "Secluded Cozy Yurt Finger Lakes, Grill & Fire Pit," ourselves and neighbors.

Farm tours are available by request for $40-$80/group and last about 60 minutes. Meet the sheep, see the mushrooms, taste the sap (depending on the season.)

Other things to note:
About straw bale construction: Straw bale buildings are earth-friendly and provide excellent insulation and the ability to moderate temperature, staying cooler in summer and toasty warm in winter. As in this cottage, straw bales are usually covered in multiple layers of earthen clay plaster, with each layer (from the inside out) getting smoother and more refined. Almost all the construction materials (straw, clay, sand, wood) in this cottage have been sourced locally, from within 80 miles. No plywood or pressure-treated wood was used in the construction. Strawbale buildings are known to create a very healthy environment because the clay literally purifies the ambient indoor air and humidity. The plastered walls, with their natural textures and velvet-like appearance, make for a calming and soft living space.

Welcome to the brand new Rivers Edge Cabin just minutes from downtown Geneva. With a ten minute drive you'll find many great wineries, restaurants, and entertainment spaces. Find yourself relaxing in the screened in porch enjoying the private scape on the canal. Our 90 foot dock can accommodate multiple boats at no extra cost to you. A Perfect place to access Cayuga or Seneca Lake. We offer two kayaks, a firepit and dock chairs, also all included in the rental!
The space
Expect to find a clean and neat space to unwind on your vacation. The cabin is brand new creating a fresh comfortable space to enjoy. There are no shared spaces so you will have full access to the cabin and all of its amenities including parking spaces for your boats and vehicles.
Guest access
We offer self check in and will provide clear instructions to make it easy as possible upon arrival. We will be reachable through the VRBO app at anytime and encourage you to reach out with any questions to ensure you get the most out of your vacation hassle free. We grew up in the area and also love to share our favorite spots and recommendations around.

The Mill Creek Cabins experience is quite unique and special. As you arrive, you'll pass wineries, the beautiful Finger Lakes (either Seneca or Cayuga), Amish buggies, and finally you'll find the Cabins among the Finger Lakes National Forest. Check-in is a breeze and you'll notice that you are one of only three groups who are enjoying the property. You'll start your evening by grilling up some burgers and enjoying the porch. You might take a dip in the hot tub before settling in by the fire pit. Plenty of firewood and charcoal are available for purchase.

When you wake up the next morning, Mary from Taste of Wine Country Cafe will deliver your breakfast. Not a morning person? She'll drop the order on your front porch and you can get it when you roll out of bed. Coffee maker comes with coffee, creamer and sugar. If you are a morning person, maybe you'll enjoy a hike! There's a one mile path around the perimeter of the 40 acre property.

There's so much to do in the Finger Lakes during the day. Lodi is located between Seneca and Cayuga lakes. Mill Creeks Cabins is surrounded by the Finger Lakes National Forest. While it feels completely remote, the beginning of the Seneca Wine trail is less than 5 miles (9 minutes) away. When you get back, you might take advantage of the yard games like volleyball, yard darts, bocce ball, and croquet. After all that activity, you'll probably want to settle in with a movie - each cabin has access to Netflix, Hulu and Disney +, and you can sign into any of your own systems. Or, go a little retro and watch a DVD!

- "Our goal for this trip was to revisit the Finger Lakes area in upstate NY to see the peak fall foliage; hike to see some of the beautiful waterfalls; bike a rails-to-trail distance; walk our small pups on a trail; enjoy the scenery & local cuisine; and just relax. This cabin-in-the-woods accommodation was perfect for all of the above! We knew there would be some driving for 20-30 minutes each day, but that wasn’t a problem given the scenery! So much to see & partake. The cabin offered what we needed for comfort & convenience efficiently. There was ample space for us. The propane stove worked well on the very chilly mornings. The daily offered breakfast was just what we needed to start our day:) The hot tub was an added bonus. Our pups looked forward to a daily walk on the grassy trails beyond the three cabins. We appreciate that extra perk. We would definitely recommend the cabin! Best to use Siri to navigate in the area if not familiar with it. Super communication from the host! Response time was very fast. Thank you for the experience!"

Cabin 8 is located on the hillside over the lake, and it is an approximately 3 minute walk down the driveway and the staircase to access the water. "The Red Tail" is a spacious 2- bedroom cabin located in the heart of the Fingerlakes in Upstate New York. (3000 County Road 143, Interlaken) If you are looking to get away from noise and enjoy the solitude of nature, this is the place for you! The cabin is close to hiking trails in the Fingerlakes National Forest and wineries and breweries on both Cayuga and Seneca Lake. - "We stayed for 3 nights in one of the cabins closest to the water. We had 4 teenagers and everyone had a great time. The kids used the numerous paddleboards available and also fished off the pier for hours. It is only 20 minutes from Ithaca and 30 minutes from Watkins Glen so it was a great location to explore all of the hiking and waterfalls in the area. Taughannock falls park and beach is less than 10 minutes away. The cabin was rustic but with all of the modern amenities. We only really spent time in there to sleep. Each cabin has a full size gas grill and a small but functional kitchen. Jordan was a great host and provided everything needed for the stay. The kids thought the bed in the loft was cool, but the tallest in the group couldn't get up there comfortably. The wifi was great because a lot of the area has spotty wireless coverage. So navigate to where your going before you leave. As others have mentioned it is a lot of steps to get down to the shore, but noone in our group had a problem. We all had an amazing time and have already recommended Spotted Sandpiper to others."

Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. This is a beautiful off grid cabin located out in nature. It’s a one room cabin with two queen sized beds. - "Our family of 4 had a wonderful time decompressing at this cabin. Great wifi and a smartTV made our teens super happy, and my husband and I enjoyed the dock and double kayak. The cabin itself is tiny (there is just enough room to walk around 2 sides of the bed), but has 2 bedrooms with double beds, a living room with a daybed sofa with a trundle, a small dining table (2 chairs and access to 2 sides of the table), a stovetop (no oven), a mini fridge with a freezer, a sizeable fancy microwave, and a tiny bathroom with shower (3'x5'?). The cooking supplies for the stovetop are pretty limited (1 small pan with lid, 2 small skillets), but I think that's because the assumption is that most people will grill out on the super nice gas grill (with propane and loads of extra propane) or charcoal grill or firepit. The porch has a nice glass table with 4 chairs, a sofa, and a coffee table. And you even have your own extra dining space with a picnic table on the mulched area in front of the cabin with the grills and firepit. Cooling: There were 2 fans that worked well and a window air conditioner (with remote) embedded in the wall near the ceiling. Heating: They had an electric fireplace and 2 electric space heaters. Beds: The double beds were comfortable with smooth sheets and a warm comforter. The kids and I used our own pillows, but my husband was happy with the bed pillows. Common Space Amenities: The common space amenities were a real gem! They had games (giant connect 4, cornhole, and spikeball) and balls to play with. A nice green space with sun for soaking in sunshine and running around. A dock with rock beach and a shallow rocky space for little kids to play in. There was a tiny bit of zero entry beach space (like maybe 4'). They had double kayaks, single kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, and floats with all the appropriate life jackets and gear that you could easily access without reservation. Toiletries, Dishsoap, and Water: Hot water was plentiful. They use chlorinated water, which my kids didn't like the taste of, but they provided unlimited gallons of bottled water. They also provided loads of extra propane for the gas grill. In the cabin they provided: 2 tiny bottles of dishsoap (our family of 4 used only 1/3 of a bottle for the 4 days we were there), a dish towel, a dishcloth, a packaged dish sponge, 2 rolls of paper towels, disinfecting wipes, 3 boxes of facial tissues, 2 small bars of soap, shampoo and conditioner."

The Coop at Crow Nest Farm is a delightfully transformed circa 1900s barn with a private garden patio. Located across from our 1840s barn and cidery, The Coop offers a rustic adventure while not losing sight of comfort and hospitality.

The Coop does not have heating or AC. Dress appropriately
The Coop is not appropriate for the mobility impaired as the ground is uneven and the Coop and barn have uneven floor boards.
Crow Nest Farm, in Trumansburg, NY boasts three adventure bnbs.
The Coop:
Enter into the kitchenette, which includes a Keurig and pods, toaster, microwave, mini-fridge and dishes. Note that The Coop does not offer a full cooking kitchen.
Running water is located close by, in the unattached barn's kitchenette. The barn kitchenette is stocked with pastries and clean dishes.
The shared communal bathroom is also located in the big blue barn. It has a state of the art composting toilet and walk in hot water shower. Your towels, bath mats and washcloths are stocked in The Coop wall cupboard.
The queen bed space has luggage racks and a cupboard for your belongings. Cotton sheets in summer and flannel sheets for the chillier months are matched with an heated mattress pad insuring a cozy sleep anytime. The Coop is NOT heated nor does it have AC. The loft is just for fun with its body pillows and lanterns! Climb the ladder and slide down the rope.
Outside the Coop’s back door is your private gated patio surrounded by the original chicken wire fencing with a bistro table nestled in a flower garden. Enjoy your morning coffee surrounded by blooms. The bunnies live in the garden, maybe you’ll catch them eating their morning carrots!
Our big blue barn hosts Idiot Brothers Cidery, as well as the communal bathroom and rec areas. A poker room, performance space and console tv rec room provide space for early morning and rainy day activities.
To reiterate, the Coop does NOT have a private bathroom, it shares the communal bath in the barn.
The Coop is a standalone cabin with private patio. Your bathroom is located 12’ away in our large barn and is shared with The Bunkhouse, located inside the barn. The toilet is composting and shower has plenty of hot water. The big blue barn is open 24 hours and has recreational areas and space to enjoy a cup of coffee or cider.

In the big barn’s rec room loft you will find monster movies and games, poker chips and cards. The barn has plenty of lounging spaces, but please note that off-limit spaces are marked private. Please be respectful of the guests in our sister bnb, The Bunkhouse, and be quiet during the morning and evening. Enjoy our vintage barn but be mindful of the uneven surfaces.
Anyone on the farm can help with your requests. Text Chris anytime if there’s something you need. We offer privacy and will check in, but in general we leave you to yourselves.

The big blue barn has high speed internet which is easily picked up in The Coop. We do have chickens and Edward, the rooster crows at dawn. Lots of other birds sing loudly also. Earplugs provided in nightstand.

The Coop is not heated, bring warm clothing for fall and spring months. The Coop is not air conditioned but has a ceiling fan.
The Coop is an rustic glamping experience. If you are looking for more amenities, check out our Jetson Suite, located in our Victorian farmhouse. Look over the pictures to see the property - we are not handicap accessible, do not book if you cannot navigate the farm.

Families in particular love our spacious, well-lit yurts with domed ceilings. They’re made of thick vinyl and are insulated for 3-season use. Each has 2 bedrooms (one queen, one full) and fold-down futons in the living area, as well as a kitchenette and a full bathroom with walk-in shower. Sleep 5.

Yurt 2 is up a gravel drive hill, but is accessible by 2-wheel drive vehicles. (We have a Civic who takes it like a champ!)

Located just outside Penn Yan on the north end of Keuka Lake, enjoy what this 2-bedroom cabin has to offer. Arriving at Pelican Cabin, you'll park in one of 3 parking spaces, with a short walk to the house. Two steps up to the porch and you'll enter into the open concept upper floor living area. To your left you'll see a sitting area / reading nook and the kitchen. On your right you'll see the dining table and the living room with plenty of seating. Looking straight ahead are the French doors that open up to the deck that has more seating, a small dining table and the propane-gas grill.

Inside, taking the spiral staircase to the downstairs, you'll find the 2 bedrooms, bathroom and laundry room. You'll also find French doors that open up to the lower level outside area that will lead you down about 15 steps to the beach, dock and firepit.

You'll have over 50 feet of lake front and a dock to attach your boat to if so inclined. On this end of the lake, it's very shallow walking out into the water which is great for young children.

It is a short walk to Seneca Farms for ice cream and chicken dinners. Indian Pines Park, which has a great playground and swimming area, is about a half mile away.

Looking for more adventure? Hike the gorge in Watkins Glen, bike nearby trails or relax at The Retreat. Kayaks, paddleboards, fire pits, grills and Adirondack chairs are provided for you to enjoy a fun vacation!

The space
When you arrive at The Retreat, you will have the option to be greeted by your host and shown around the property or you can enjoy a contactless check in. On site are three cozy cabins, each with their own front porch equipped with two Adirondack chairs and a personal grill. Inside, you will find a queen size bed with super soft bamboo sheets, a small table for two, a mini-refrigerator, microwave, an air fryer, AC unit, ceiling fan, and a gas fireplace. The bathroom is supplied with clean towels, toiletries, a hair dryer, and a make-up mirror.

You can enjoy a glass of wine on your cabin porch or walk down to the water to watch the most beautiful sunsets on the dock. If you are seeking more adventure, paddleboards and kayaks are on the shore to use. Don't forget your water shoes if you are looking to go swimming!

Lastly, there is a gazebo with a water view as well as two shared fire pits, one by the shore and one by the cabins. All guests will be provided with complimentary s'more kits for two. :)

Traveling with friends or family and need more space? Contact the host to book all three cabins for a private getaway! Great for work retreats, family reunions, and friend gatherings. If your date is unavailable, contact the host and she can look into availability for the other two cabins.

While staying here you may use the basketball court and laundry facilities within the campground although the cabins are in a more private area without campground traffic. One private bedroom, one set of bunkbeds in a semi private room and a futon that folds out to a bed makes this cabin a great getaway spot for wine lovers, families and lake goers. Select weekends the campground has live music you may enjoy free. One dog allowed during your stay.

Minutes from numerous wineries and only 300 yards from Seneca Lake and Lodi State Park make this a great vacation spot. 54 acres of hiking trails right next-door for your enjoyment. Cabin rental includes use of two kayaks, two bicycles (helmets not provided, and a free bundle of firewood each night if you have used yours. Outside the cabin you will enjoy the picnic table, fire ring, and charcoal grill.

Note: It is 300 yards to the water's edge at the state park. We provide carts for the kayaks, or you can transport in your vehicle. There is a daytime fee part of the year to drive into the state park, but it is always free to walk in.

This cabin is dog friendly for one dog. Due to pets, we do not provide bed linens so you will want to bring pillows, sheets, and blankets.

Welcome to our charming rustic cabin nestled on a working horse ranch! Our cabin has electric, a mini fridge, and bathroom. There is a queen bed and single bed downstairs, with a full bed in the loft by way of stairs.

You will have access to a well-stocked outdoor kitchen with grills, games, and a fire pit. The cabin is a 3-5 minute walk from the parking area. However, if you arrive between 3 and 4pm, your luggage will be carried to your cabin with a pony cart! You don't want to miss that.

The space
You are staying on a working dude ranch in the Finger Lakes National Forest. Your cabin is steps from the horse pasture, where you can wake up to beautiful pastoral views of the dude ranch. Do you like horseback riding? We give generous discounts to our overnight guests.

If riding isn’t your thing, you can take a leisurely walk through the pine trees and gather materials for woodland crafts. In the winter, our property boasts snowmobile trails for winter exploration, ideal for cross country skiing, biking, and invigorating forest hikes. And did we mention? We are right in the heart of wine country - between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes.

Our cabin is truly a magical place any time of year.

In the winter months cozy up with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and your favorite book or movie. The view of the lake is incredible once the leaves have fallen and the smell of cedar nourishes the soul. Our neighborhood is quiet and the snow covered path to the cabin adds to its tranquility.

Feel alive in the spring as everything comes into bloom! Wine trail events begin to pick up and area hiking trails begin to thaw.

Summer is our peak season on Seneca Lake. Take a refreshing morning swim, enjoy the fire pit and stop for a pint at our local brewery.

Fall is alive with color. The trees lining our property are ablaze with shades of red and yellow. The sun is warm, the air is cool and the local cuisine is at its best.

We feel so fortunate to live in such a beautiful place and are incredibly excited to share the Finger Lakes with you!

Our accommodations are perfect for families visiting the area! We offer a large private master bedroom, which leads right out to our patio. Start your day off right with a cup of coffee and a stunning view of Seneca Lake!! We have an upstairs loft with a comfy bed and plenty of room for personal items. The last sleeper option is our fold out couch in the living area. We have split Heat and A/C wall units to keep our place cool in the summer, and toasty warm in the winter, but we have an electric fireplace just for the fun of of it! Don't forget to bring firewood for our fire pit outside because that is where you want to be at sunset!!! Our reviews have been stellar!Guests rate comfort and amenities as a big bonus for them. The space
The real beauty of our cottages is their location and specifically their lake frontage. The bonus with renting this property is it's not just a cottage, it's a home with a small yard, dock, 2 decks, 2 kayaks, full working kitchen, grill, firepit, 2 private bedrooms, and soooo many spaces to enjoy friends and family.

The lake frontage you will enjoy in several ways starting with the incredible views from being right on Lake Cayuga. My favorite are the sunrises as we look almost directly east. But, sunsets with the clouds and the reflection off the water are also awesome, plus the upper decks get comfortable afternoon shade. Perhaps enjoy a refreshing dip all summer long off your dock. We provide kayaks, paddles, lifejackets, and fishing poles. You might want to take a moment and enjoy a few casts with a chance to catch a big one. Or maybe bring your boat (or rent one) and take your friends out and enjoy some water skiing, it’s a true all sports lake after all. There’s even a fire pit in the yard for bonfires on cold evenings. My wife loves sitting on the deck with friends and playing cards while I grill and everyone gets to take in the feels and some amazing local wines.

Speaking of wines, there are over 20+ wineries within 20 minutes of the house, and 100+ within an hr. Plus, there’s breweries, distilleries, dispensaries, and even a cheese farm nearby and all this is open all year round. Not to mention the small-town, Seneca Falls, famous for being the backdrop to the Hollywood classic “It’s A Wonderful Life” is just a few minutes’ drive away. It has over 15 bars and restaurants plus numerous shops, it’s a great outing while you are here. Or if you want other small-town options, there are several small towns nearby that are all awesome in their own right: Geneva, Auburn, Watkins Glen, Ithaca just to name a few. If gabling is your thing, there are also a few casinos nearby. The del Largo Resort & Casino is 12 minutes away, has a full-service casino: all the table games, slots, sportsbook, spa, bars, nightclub, and music hall featuring great performers with household names. If you want something a little smaller, we are walking distance to Lakeside Entertainment (slots only).

On the other side of things, there are sooo many options to enjoy the outdoors besides the lake. We are just a few houses down from the state park which has a boat launch, sandy beach, & awesome pirate ship playground for the kids. We are a 3 min drive to the Seneca Falls Country Club with renown golf and amazing lake views and it's open to the public. Want world class waterfalls and hiking, look no further than the south ends of the lakes. Watkins Glen and Taughannock Falls (largest waterfall this side of the Mississippi) are incredible to see, hike and even swim. Plus, Finger Lakes National Forest about 30 min south has more hiking than anyone could do on a weekend.

Back at the Cottage:

Inside the cottage, there is an updated kitchen with full fridge, sink, oven, and stove and coffee maker…. There is a nice cozy living area with a new queen size pull out convertible couch. Plus, plenty of board games and cards for rainy days. This is open and adjacent to the dining area and kitchen so everyone can enjoy each other’s company and spend some good quality time together. The bathroom has been completely remodeled and is clean and bright with full stand-up shower. In the back are 2 separate and private bedrooms with doors that close. One has a new queen bed. The other has new double sized bunk beds. All that being said, this is a small cottage from around the 70's. It’s well lived in and well-loved but updated with many convenient modern amenities. The window unit and fans keep it cool all summer and the full-sized forced air furnace makes it a nice toasty spot in the winter too. And while technically it’s a manufactured home, with the yard, deck, dock, and updates it feels more like a warm cottage and home away from home to us. My favorite place to sleep on the whole estate is actually in the end room of the cottage with the window open. It’s the closet bedroom to Cayuga Lake and you can fall asleep to the tranquil waves lapping against the shore.

Outside, there is also a nice deck right outside the door of the cottage with several sitting areas and a grill so you can relax in a variety of ways. It's a perfect birds eye view of Cayuga Lake looking east. And there is a lower deck right before you get to the dock down by the water which is a great spot for coffees or an afternoon cocktail:) Or take the steps down and cool off in the pristine waters of the lake. There's also a bonfire pit for those cold evenings again, overlooking Cayuga.

Just bring yourself and your clothes and enjoy...We provide all the essentials. We have cork screws, bottle openers, pots, pans, grills with propane, and even coffee. Plus, we have basic toiletries too: Towels, TP, paper towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap & hairdryer are all provided. We provide clean sheets, blankets and pillows. There's even a smart tv so you can login to your favorite streaming service in case you want to watch a movie or a big game in both cottages. We tried to think of everything, and are always trying to improve for our guests.

Welcome to The Fish-Inn! This classic lakefront cottage sits on the East side of Waneta Lake just minutes to the Seneca Lake or Keuka Lake Wine Trail,

The space
The Fish Inn is the perfect lake house for your family vacation. There is parking for 3 average size cars. Walk down the stairs to the home and enter into a large open kitchen, dining and living area. The first bedroom is located on the left and offers a queen size bed. Just beyond that is the second bedroom also offering queen size accommodations. The kitchen offers a large stainless steel fridge/freezer along with a stove and sink. Wander past the kitchen through the living area to a large sliding glass door. The top deck is absolutely the perfect spot to enjoy your favorite Finger Lakes Wine.
Back inside there is a spiral staircase that leads to the loft where we offer a full bed and a twin trundle. Across the loft there is another sofa to relax on. There is a gradual slope down to the lakefront to enjoy the dock, kayak or fire-pit.

Nestled on the East side of Seneca Lake is a AUTHENTIC cozy cabin style cottage with a private shale beach five miles from Watkins Glen. There are four lounge chairs on the beach that are perfect for sunbathing along with a dock, diving board. There is a privacy fence around the property. Renters also have access to three kayaks, 18 foot canoe ,boat lift, fire pit, outdoor grill and a perfect view of the evening sunsets.

The Basswood Cabin is a dog-friendly cabin with a kitchenette, 2 BR (one queen and bunk beds), and sleeps 3 comfortably.

This cottage built in 1902 takes you back in time. The Rocks, set in the woods and overlooking the lake, provides a peaceful setting for one to appreciate nature. Sit on the front porch and listen to the birds or watch a magnificent sunset. Because this is an older cottage, you must bring your own drinking water. If you are looking for an upscale, modern place, then you may want to stay elsewhere. BUT if you want to relax and capture a bygone era, you will love The Rocks.

The space
There is a lovely porch, a back patio, a comfortable living room, a dining room with a table for 9 and a well equipped kitchen. On the second floor in the main house, you will find 4 bedrooms and the half bathroom. Harriet’s Room has a queen bed with a window air conditioner. The Children’s Room has 2 twin beds and the Blue Room has 2 twin beds. The Yellow Room has 1 twin bed. The bathroom has a sink, toilet and old fashion claw foot tub. In order to get to an extra room that is attached to the side of the house, you walk out the kitchen door, go 8-10 steps and walk into the Albert Lyman Room. There you will find a bedroom with a queen bed and the bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink.

Because this is an older cottage, there isn’t a modern HVAC system. There is a great gas burning fireplace, electric baseboard heat in the living and dining room as well as space heaters in the bedrooms for chilly nights. The cottage doesn’t have air conditioning, other than in Harriet’s Room. Usually, there are nice breezes from the lake.

When you rent The Rocks, you have full use of the entire house, the 90’ of lake frontage, the dock and 1.5 acres of property.

There is comfortable parking for at least 4 cars. The lower part of Warner Road has concrete water diverters and may scrape the bottom of low to the ground vehicles. The drive down the tree lined road to the cottage is magical on sunny days. If you are lucky, you will see chipmunks, rabbits, woodpeckers and owls just before the cottage and lake come into view. If you like nature, you will enjoy The Rocks.

Guest access
The entire house will be for you use during your stay. You will enjoy the large beach area, the dock, the 4 parking spaces and the 1.5 acres of woods.

There are about 20 steps to the beach. Be sure to bring water shoes for all your guest because of the stones and zebra mussels. Seneca Lake is a fresh water lake that is refreshing (chilly.). For safety purposes, diving or jumping is only allowed off the end of the main dock where the water is deep enough.

Cedar Cabin is the dog-friendliest of a trio of dog-friendly cabins in the Finger Lakes. Cedar Cabin is the only cabin in the Finger Lakes with a fenced in backyard for your dog(s)! This cabin has a full kitchen, including dishwasher, a bathtub and separate shower, air conditioning and private hot tub. It is a 1BR cabin with a queen sized bed and a full-sized pullout queen sofa bed. Cedar Cabin is distinctly decorated with a wine barrel theme.

Savor a cup of coffee or sip a delicious Finger Lakes wine on our large 50’ x 12’ covered porch overlooking Cayuga Lake. Dining and seating areas, as well as a propane BBQ and fire pit. This is a great site for families to gather and still have plenty of private space. 1000 sq. feet of interior space, plus a huge porch directly overlooking the lake.

Rental includes a boat slip with electric hoist. 2 reserved parking space. (More available by request and availability.) Only about 30 feet from staircase leading directly to our private beach that only our renters at The Spotted Sandpiper can use!

Guests can also enjoy our complimentary recreational boats, including kayaks, paddle boards and a couple canoes. Life vests also provided, but guests are encouraged to bring their own to insure the best fit. (Especially for younger children!) These are recreational boats only, and guests should never take them farther from shore than they can safely swim.

Need more space? The Spotted Sandpiper has 2 houses, 9 cabins, and 2 yurts (plus three glamping units and 2 airstreams) spread over 4 acres. We're a great gathering spot for family reunions, wedding parties, and groups who just want to stretch out.

The Spotted Sandpiper is located in the woods with frontage on Cayuga Lake and bugs love the woods and water! They're savvy at finding their ways indoors (these are cabins after all). If the bugs are ever "bugging" you, we're always happy to help. Please also note that because we're surrounded by mature trees we love and maintain in the fall they may produce nuts which periodically fall (acorns particularly). We reduce our nightly rates in this season accordingly.

Guests have access to the Overlook Lodge, as well as our beach, common green space, and the guest services building. (Laundry and extra bathrooms inside)

When you wake up the next morning, Mary from Taste of Wine Country Cafe will deliver your breakfast between 8-9. Not a morning person? She'll drop the breakfast on your front porch and you can get it when you roll out of bed. Coffee comes with creamer and sugar. If you are a morning person, maybe you'll enjoy a hike! There's a one mile path around the perimeter of the 40 acre property.

There's so much to do in the Finger Lakes during the day. Lodi is located between Seneca and Cayuga lakes. Mill Creek Cabins is surrounded by the Finger Lakes National Forest. While it feels completely remote, the beginning of the Seneca Wine trail is less than 5 miles (9 minutes) away. When you get back, you might take advantage of the yard games like volleyball, yard darts, bocce ball, and croquet. After all that activity, you'll probably want to settle in with a movie - each cabin has access to Netflix and Hulu, and you can sign into any of your own systems. Or, go a little retro and borrow a DVD from the Office!
