And... when we left later that morning, we realized we had left jewelry behind, and when we called, they actually found it, and mailed it to us, so they were very honest too, which I appreciated. We have left behind things in other hotels and "no one saw anything", so we really appreciated that. They have sherry & port for sampling/tasting all evening, and have a nice tea time around 4 pm, with coffee, tea, and cookies. We really enjoyed our 2 nights, and will be back again. Walking distance to shopping (washington mall?), a number of restaurants, and we walked down to the beach/boardwalk, probably about 10 minutes away as well. Saturday afternoon we ended up walking into Carney's, across from the water, and stayed for hours due to happy hour specials & had a great time, for less :-) Live music, $5 crushes, mistakes may have been made. - "Carisbrooke Inn is a beautiful, quaint, historic house transformed into a lovely B&B. We stayed here two nights in late June 2017. What a wonderful area of Ventnor City... literally just a stone's throw from Atlantic City. We got stuck in traffic near Baltimore, so we arrived later than the usual check-in time. When we called to let them know they said "No problem!", and gave us instructions on how to obtain the key and gain entrance into the property. What a relief! Our room was very clean, although a little on the small side. My husband would like to have had a bigger bathroom and shower, but I was happy that we had a private bathroom. No matter...we spent most of our stay on the boardwalk and at the beach, which was about 1/2 block away! Great location with restaurants and shopping within a couple of blocks. We found the AAAA Bike Shop just 2 blocks away, and rented brand new bicycles overnight to ride around town. There's a back yard area at Carisbrooke where there is plenty of room to park the bikes and lock them up. Then there was the breakfast. Awesome! The Carisbrooke pancakes were light and fluffy... probably the best pancakes I've ever had! My husband went for the made-to-order omelet both days, which he loved. We also enjoyed the late afternoon snacks of cheese and crackers, wine, fresh fruit, and cookies. The refrigerator was stocked with ice cold bottles of water, as well. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the owner was friendly and helpful. Breakfast servers were wonderful. Overall, we loved The Carisbrooke Inn and would definitely stay there again. We absolutely recommend this place to anyone coming to the AC area. Thanks to all!"

There really should be a door bell or video monitoring system so that guests can come and go as they please. We took advantage of the close proximity of all the shops Smithville had to offer by walking for hours and then enjoyed dinner at Fred and Ethels later that night. ⛴️ There’s a ferry to New York which has breathtaking views. There is a free shuttle 3 blocks away that takes you to the ferry. The ferry cost $9 each way but it’s a great experience.
🚶‍♂️The area is walkable and safe. There are a lot of businesses around ao you should not need a car.
🚗 We don’t offer parking but you can get a daily permit from the city ($3).
🛌 We can set either 2 single beds ir one full bed. Please let us know before your arrival. We also offer an air mattress upon request. Please notice there’s a fee for a third guest.
