THE SPACE
Lee's House is newly renovated to with a bright & airy feel and we can't wait for you to experience it!

There are 3 bedrooms. The 1st floor master bedroom sleeps 2 with a king bed. On the 2nd floor, the first bedroom sleeps 1-3, with a bunk bed that has a twin on top, and 2 twins or 1 king on the bottom (your choice). The other bedroom sleeps 2, with a queen bed and walk-in closet. Each bedroom has a fan & AC. We are a child-friendly unit, if you need of a Pack n' Play and/or highchair, please let me know and we will have it setup upon arrival.

Enjoy the spa-like bathroom with a bubble bath or a separate standup shower - your choice! Get cozy in the living room on the sleeper sofa (turns into a double bed) while enjoying the electric fireplace, 55" Smart TV and overlooking the lake across the street. We offer Disney+ & Hulu to all our guests, feel free to log into your own accounts for other streaming services. The eat-in kitchen is fully stocked with kitchen tools & essentials. As a chef myself, I wanted to make sure one has the tools to make anything they want to. If there is something specific you are looking for, please reach out to me!

Ready to BBQ? We have an outdoor dining table, dinnerware, and a grill ready for you. We also have an outdoor fireplace.

There is no street parking. There is a designated driveway which can hold a 2-car max. NOTE: If you have more an 2 cars, please reach out so I can coordinate prior.

We are located within minutes of lake activities for you to enjoy. Walking distance to some of the lake's top attractions such as Jefferson House, Windlass, Alice's, Miss Lotta, Lake Hopatcong Adventure Co & Golf Club. There are multiple marinas within minutes driving where you can rent a boat or launch your own. We are 5 minutes away from Lee's Marina, another park where you can launch your boat for a daily fee. The best place to swim is at Mt Arlington Beach or Hopatcong State Park. Please check out my guidebook for more marina & swimming locations in the area.

GUEST ACCESS
Guests have use of the entire unit except for the basement and cleaner's closet, which are locked. You have full access to the backyard and deck. Please note the property is share with a guesthouse and a studio. In which, access is not permitted (unless you are renting it too). Smoking is not permitted in the house. You can smoke outside in the backyard and deck.

The kitchen is at the far end of the room and there are views from the lake from every part of the living room, kitchen and dining area. A large stone gas fireplace is a centerpiece of this large living area. A large set of sliders open up to a large 38x14 ft. deck with sliver-proof composite planking. The three burner Weber grill is just steps away from the kitchen making grilling a breeze 4 seasons a year. The kitchen is equipped with a large premium refrigerator, ice cube maker, dishwasher, two coffee makers, microwave, toaster, triple filtered drinking water and all the cooking accessories you need. The Southeast lake views offer brilliant sunny mornings yet you can escape the heat of the afternoon. There are two large bedrooms on this level and a large premium full bathroom. One 14x11 ft bedroom features a queen size bed and the other 13x12 ft bedroom has two single beds as we find many of our guests prefer this configuration. A side door leads to a pantry foyer and out to a very private patio that features a brand new Hot Tub. The hot tub is available year round and there is never a day too cold to enjoy its soothing waters and in this private location. Back in the house, a staircase leads up to the third level where you will find the 330 square ft Master Suite. With breathtaking views from high above the lake, you will enjoy a King Bed with brand new mattress, a huge walk in closet and a oversized bathroom with a large shower and a jacuzzi tub.

From the main level, stairs lead down the ground level with large windows that overlook the lake. There you will find the indoor Sauna, a 4th bedroom featuring a twin over full bunk bed and another twin bed. There is also a full bath and a game area.

When you walk down the steps from the main level deck or out the door from the ground level, steps take you down to two separate grassy areas and a 50 ft lake frontage. A distinguishing feature of this property is a huge 39x32 Boathouse build over the water at the end of an 80 ft concrete dock. Steps lead up to an incredible 400 square foot deck where you are virtually surrounded by the lake. And off the deck is a 19x12 enclosed game room that features the ping pong table.

If you have a boat or jet skis, there is docking on both sides of the boathouse. Large concrete stairs lead right down into the water for swimming and wading. Between the bulkhead and the boathouse the water is not too deep so its a perfect place to let the kids play.

We are avid kayakers and we invite our guests to use our premium Wilderness Systems kayaks. You won't find cheap plastic Walmart specials here... a 17 foot Sealution XL will glide thru both flat or wavy water with ease and its effortless to get this craft to 5.5 MPH using my carbon fiber paddle. The other kayak is the 16 foot Freedom for those paddlers who prefer a sit on top configuration... but with a twist.. this kayak is considered the fastest sit on top kayak made. With 43 miles of shoreline to discover, kayaking and boating is incredible on Lake Hopatcong. I will provide paddles and life jackets. I also have rafts and floats if you prefer a more leisurely ride on the water. Please bring your own water shoes and sunscreen!

The lake has a long and rich history, discovered by the Lenape Indians 14,000 years ago, this was the chic destination for New York actors and socialites at the turn of the century and the roaring 20s. Today, the Lake is is knows as the largest in New Jersey with 43 miles of shoreline and is very popular for fishing, water sports and restaurant-hopping via boat. There are numerous restaurants and bars in the vicinity, including one just a very short walk away, and also all around the lake featuring lake views and the ability to "boat hop". And the NY/NJ Highlands Trail crosses just 0.2 miles away from the house (you can walk or drive to the trailhead and this section of the trail is outstanding and you will have 6000 acres of lovely terrain to yourself. Your hosts will be delighted to recommend a restaurant, additional places to take a hike in the lovely NJ Highlands, or a day trip.

- "It was very comfortable and spacious for the 6 of us both inside and outside, several places with comfortable seating. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were plenty of linens/ towels. There were plenty of water toys, a ping pong table and more to keep the kids busy. Bob is a very pleasant host who responds immediately to any questions. The neighbor was very friendly too." - "We can't wait to come back. The house truly feels like a home and is so comfortable. We had some tropical/sudden/intense storms when we were here so we went out at every opportunity to soak up the sun, floating in the lake or reading on the deck. We even grilled a bit in the rain and enjoyed the hot tub while a storm rolled in. We also took the Miss Lotta dinner cruise which is nearby. Next time we'll have to hit the mini golf, hiking trails, and rent the boat. There's also a great selection of restaurants and a 24/7 ShopRite we used a lot. Some things to note--not negatives but FYIs: This property is on a cliffside and to get up and down you'll need to climb a lot of stairs. Bob is super responsive and has a list of reasonable requests for the safety of people and property that you'll have to keep in mind. Also, while the kitchen was amazing the pots and pans are very well-loved so next time I'll bring my own cookware. Thank you so much Bob for the incredible stay."

At the bottom of the hill, you will find a shed full of water toys such as inflatable floats, noodles and lounge chairs There is a private launch to launch your small boat, jetski, kayak, or canoe, and also a dock slip for your use to park the watercraft you may have rented from the multiple surrounding marinas.
There are many miles of outstanding hiking and off road vehicle trails that can be reached just steps from the property at the Prospect point preserve.

There's also 2 full size tennis courts as well as 2 full size basketball courts and a children's playground right down the street. There are many great places to eat on the water such as Lola's, Chapala's, The Stonewater, Pavinci's, The Windlass or Alice's, or on land such as the famous Jefferson Diner, Pub 199 or one of our favorites, Little Nicki's which is also, right down the street at Prospect point playground.

A little about the lake itself: Lake Hopatcong is only an hour from NYC yet it feels like a different world out here once you are immersed in "lake time". The lake has a long and rich history, discovered by the Lenape Indians 14,000 years ago, this was the chic destination for New York actors and socialites at the turn of the century and the roaring 20s. Today, the Lake is is knows as the largest in New Jersey with 43 miles of shoreline and is very popular for fishing, water sports and restaurant-hopping via boat. There are numerous restaurants and bars in the vicinity and also all around the lake featuring lake views and the ability to "boat hop".

Our two bedroom, one bathroom 950 square foot lake house provides plenty of space for a group of up to six to get to enjoy lakefront living. Wake up early, brew some coffee and walk out to your own private dock to watch the sunrise or stay up late visiting the seven different bars and restaurants on Lake Hopatcong. If you'd like to stay home and cook in, you can prepare a delicious meal in our well appointed kitchen, with a Weber grill outside on the patio. With brand new mattresses you'll be sure to get a great night sleep waking up ready to get back outside and explore the four mile hike to Liffy Island and back from just down the road. Our home offers easy private parking for three cars, with a flat lawn and easy access to the dock and lake. Our home also has only 10 stairs outside our home and is conducive for guests who have challenges with walking but our home would not be considered handicap accessible.

This home is situated in a relatively quiet neighborhood with quiet neighbors with kids. This is a great house to enjoy and relax, have a bbq, with friends and or family. This is not a party house though. There are other houses on the lake where partying late is what it's all about. This is a home for someone who wants to enjoy their days but not be woken up at night by some party animals going all night.

This house is directly on the lake, not across the street from the lake, not a house behind another house on the lake, and not a house with only lake access, only lake views. You are on the lake with a dock. Experienced licensed boaters can use the dock to park their boats. No rental boat docking.

Like many lake houses, there are a decent amount of stairs to the lake (not too many from the street). This is not recommended if the stairs would be physically challenging to you.

Upstairs bathroom has new tiles, vanity, and toilet. Completely new bathroom downstairs, with many updates throughout the home. I am continuously making improvements to the home so sometimes you will get a welcome surprise that improves the property over the pictures shown. I do update them though as soon as I can.

This is a 2 bedroom with large entertainment kitchen and 2 full bathrooms. You will have use of the patio overlooking the lake while you grill. You can hang out on the lawn or dock. There are over 9 restaurants/bars on the lake, each with different views and atmosphere. Eat at a different place each night. I can even provide some suggestions depending on what you are looking for and your mood. I have a guide in the house as well.

There are boat rentals available at the local marinas, such as Lake's End and Sanbar Marina. You can call them and tour the lake. Take the boat to the famous Byram Cove and relax with hundreds of other boats.

Boat or drive to the Mini Golf Course at Alice's. I highly recommend Alice's for their food and atmosphere as well. Great hilltop views.

The house has off-street parking for 2 cars. This property is limited to 2 cars as there can be limited off-street parking. There are woods behind the house to add to that vacation feeling. There are plenty of parks locally for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, or whatever you like to do in the woods.

Guests have use basically of the entire home compromised of mainly of the first floor and the partially finished basement. The deck, patio area below deck, the dock with lake access are all accessible for guest. The rear yard runs deep and is extremely sloped and mountainous. It is accessible however exercise great cautious if climbing rocks/mountain in yard. Deer can be found roaming at back.

Kayaks are provided seasonally for free however prior to use, guest(s) are required to complete liability, indemnification, hold harmless waiver.

All are welcome however, please note the following:
1.) The home is perched up into the mountain. There are approximately three flights of stairs to access the main entry of home located on the deck. The stairs are steep because of the slope of the property.
2.) The property may not be suitable for children, infants or the elderly population due to the steepness and amount of the steps as well as the rocky and mountainous terrain that makeup the landscape of the property.

As you go outside to the deck and backyard, you will step into the greatest feature of the entire property. Just steps away from the modern interior and rustic lake atmosphere, you have every outdoor amenity imaginable. The oversized wood deck includes a grill as well as heated seating areas. The outdoor dining table can seat the entire family for an enjoyable family dinner, just steps from the water. And most importantly, spend all summer long swimming and floating your days away in the lake!

Stepping though the front door, you will be ushered into the main living room. This living space is outfitted with an over-sized full leather sectional, perfect for the whole family. Over the mantle sits a 65 inch 4k smart tv equipped with every internet channel you might desire. And don't forget, full lake views sit right out the window for 24/7 enjoyment.

From there, you can make you way into the fully modernized kitchen. This space boasts full marble backsplash and countetops. All of the appliances are brand new stainless to make your modern dinner dreams come true.

In the corner of the kitchen, you will find our coffee bar, complete with everything you would need to make the perfect cup in the morning. The kitchen comes fully furnished with every glass/plate/cutlery/pot/pans/etc, that you imagine. This space is the cook's dream!

As you step across the hall, you will find yourself in the study/office. This office is equipped with a monitor, keyboard, mouse, smart tv, and a natural grain desk with office chair for a perfect working environment. Spend your day working from home and watching the water go by! Also, don't forget about the twin size leather day bed, for the perfect night's rest (or afternoon nap break in office!).

Across the hall is our fourth bedroom equipped with double bunk twin beds. This room is perfect for the kids and has extra storage for clothing along the way! The main floor also includes a full marble, luxury bathroom equipped with everything you'd need for the perfect spa-style shower experience!

As you make your way down the stairs, to the basement, you can step right into the fully equipped game room. The family will have a blast relaxing and shooting pool on this regulation-size table. Or, take your shot at the oversized shuffle board table. Lastly, there is 75 inch, 4k tv and seating area to catch the game or snuggle up for a movie night.

As you take the steps upstairs, you will be able to step into the extra large spa style bathroom. This bathroom features a modern, tiled corner shower In the corner, you will notice the extra deep, soaker tub, perfect for relaxing and pampering. Imagine winding your days down in this spa-style environment.

The master bedroom is equipped with a 12 inch gel memory Foam king mattress that is guaranteed to set you right to sleep. The oversized pillows and luxury bedding are sure to make your night as comfy as possible. A 60 inch 4k smart tv is mounted to the wall just in case you want to catch a show as you are dozing off. And, don't worry, there is ample storage space for your clothing in the dresser. Most importantly, don't forget full panoramic views of the lake all day long.

Across the hall, the final bedroom also includes two queen-size 12 inch memory foam mattress as well as a 65 inch, 4k smart tv mounted to the wall. These beautiful bedrooms may have the best view in the house as it overlooks the water and backyard.

- "She had a video camera perched inside the house pointing towards the driveway - it has a two way speaker. This is against VRBO's policy, you know, the one she didn't read. I unplugged the camera and she asked me to plug it back in. When I stopped making excuses and finally said it made me uncomfortable, she said "it points outside." I didn't respond. She then notified me that her AND her husband were stopping by to get things out of the garage that weekend. She asked the neighbors if we were throwing parties, then notified me she wasnt coming by after all. On another occasion I switched cars, and she accused me of letting someone else stay there....! You can't swim or fish off the dock, if that's important to you, this isn't the place. An obnoxiously loud window AC is right next to a not very comfortable bed, with cheap sheets (the kind that are thin but still make you sweat because they are essentially plastic). She also sent me the contact info for her cleaning lady, because who wouldn't want to pay a cleaning fee AND a cleaning person!? The place has some upsides...the view. Stay was spoiled by the whole helicopter landlord feeling...and insidious lack of sleep."

It was end of fall season and it mostly rained on the weekend we stayed but the quietness and tranquility was nice. Inside it is just as you see in the pics. Very clean and with everything you need. It’s quite small inside but they really accommodated everything inside to still keep it roomy and not cluttered. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would not bring others with us as it’s just right for two people. If I had one complaint it would be the parking. You get just one spot and it’s quite small length wise. My car was small and fit just right but can’t imagine how my truck would fit there. Other than that we would definitely stay here again. Price was very reasonable and communication from host was on point. Love, love, love the view of the lake from here as well."

Welcome to Lake Hopatcong!

This is a lakefront home. It's not a house across the street from the lake. It is not a house behind another house on the lake. It is not a house with just lake rights. It's not even a house in front of another house on the lake. This house is right on the lake with a dock with beautiful views all year round. You will have private parking for one car.

Please read on to make sure this apartment is a good fit for you. I like to be transparent, so people are happy.

The Interior was just painted. New glass top stove. New mini-split AC/heating system. The bathroom was recently remodeled a few years ago. The outside was just redone as well and still working on it. Lots of updates and more to come so each time you come back you'll see new additions.

This is the downstairs of a two-family home. If hearing someone occasionally walking upstairs, or you are a light sleeper, this would possibly not be a good fit for you. No one is upstairs most of the winter. The property is shared with a really nice upstairs tenant that works during the day. It's a quiet neighborhood with a young family next door so we are not looking for party people to stay here. There is a decent amount of steps (about 25) to walk down to get to the door so keep that in mind. There is a grill outside for your use and the patio is shared but the upstairs tenant rarely uses it because he has his own grill and patio area that he uses. He will pass by to access his boat as will I and my family on occasion. There are camera's on the exterior of the property. I do not monitor them. They are there for emergencies. Please contact me if an emergency arises.

Hi-speed wifi included. You can have access to many steaming accounts during your stay or log into your own.
Summer, Fall, Winter, or Spring there are things to enjoy. Ice fishing, snowmobiles, ice skating, or just walking to the local bars on the lake are a great experiences. Mountain Creek is about a 35 min drive on scenic back roads or head over to PA for various places to ski or snowboard. Mountain bikers paradise with 100's of trails in the area.

Any stays over 58 days require an application, which will include items like a credit check, referrals, income verification, rental history, etcetera. The fee the service charges is under $40 and can be paid by credit card. If you are staying for less than 58 days, this does not apply. Please let me know if you have any questions.

This is probably best for a single person, but I have had 2 people stay as well.

This is an apartment with a lake view. Apartment is completely independent with its own entrance and amenities. It is structurally attached/adjacent to owner occupied main house. Apartment has 1 Bedroom (supporting 2 queen beds), Living room , Dining Room, Kitchen and Deck. You will also have access to our driveway which can accommodate multiple vehicles.

Note: We would be able to provide 1 extra twin size mattress to accommodate 5th person in case you need more space or your group is a bit larger for 2 queen beds, but it may not be guaranteed. If that's your need, please enquire in the app so we can make sure that we can support that.
Guest access
Guests will have full access to the apartment with its own entrance. Apartment have 1 Bedroom, Living room , Dining Room, Kitchen and Deck. You will also have access to our driveway which can accommodate multiple vehicles.

Please note that although all living spaces in the apartment are private and have no overlap with adjacent house, the deck although functionally private , because of its contiguous layout , should technically be considered as semi private; although you will have exclusive access to your own picnic bench.

Apartment offers 1 bedroom with two queen beds, a separate dining room , a living room, a beautiful kitchen and a deck furnished with picnic bench and umbrella. Please check our pictures and if you have any specific question, reach out via messaging. you can park in our long driveway which can support multiple cars, but we will appreciate if you can let us know beforehand of what type of vehicles / how many cars your group may have.

Minutes away from largest lake in NJ, specifically we are close to northern end of Lake Hopatcong, perfect for fishing, kayaking tubing etc. Various marinas (e.g. Bridge Marina and Lee Marina) are near by from where you can rent a boat to enjoy your desired water activities and/or enjoy awesome food offered by many lake front restaurants or just simply enjoy the sunset.

if you are in mood of a hike , we are only minutes away to hiking trails at Mahalo reservation.

This lovely updated and upscale lakeside home offers three levels and is tastefully decorated with high end furnishings. Exceptional location on highly desirable deep water Davis Cove with stunning views of Lake Hopatcong main channel. The Lake House offers spacious bedrooms, beautiful landscaping, brand new 50 Ft dock and large lakeside deck/seating, wood burning fireplace, game room, fully equipped kitchen, new hot tub right on the lake, swimming, fishing/ice fishing, and close to restaurants and bars. The property is lovely all four seasons a year. Great for a family vacation, gathering of responsible friends, special occasion, business travel or a romantic get-away.

The meticulous landscaping offers many varieties of ornamental shrubs and flowers. We think you will agree that this is one of the best locations on the lake in the deep water Davis Cove amidst the multimillion dollar historic estate homes.

There are three spacious bedrooms upstairs including our large master bedroom with a comfy king size bed, sliders that open to a balcony, and stunning views of the lake even as you lay in bed. Bedroom #2 features charming antique furniture and a full-size bed. Bedroom #3 has two very comfortable single beds. There is one full bath upstairs and also a new washer and dryer (detergent and bleach provided). Additional comforters and blankets are provided. Bath towels will be put out on all the beds when you check in.

A covered front porch leads to the main level. The open floor-plan on the main level offers a fully appointed kitchen with with microwave, dishwasher, toaster, two coffee machines (a drip and a Keurig), gas range/oven, wine cooler and higher quality cookware/cutlery/ accessories (I.e Wustoff Professional knives, Caphalon cookware, etc.). The main living area has a large wood burning fireplace (wood is included), 55" HDTV Smart TV with Blu-Ray DVD (I have provided a Blue Ray DVD library), a Netflix account for use by guests and internet access, all the premium movie channels and premium on demand movies and a Bluetooth sound system that will play music off your smart phone. Free high speed WiFi is available all around the house, deck and dock. The main level also features a full bath and a 4th bedroom if you need it with a trundle bed that sleeps 1 to 2. The dining table comfortably seats 6-8 with 3 more seats at the kitchen counter. There is a spacious deck off sliders that overlooks the lake with a table/chairs/lounge and a high quality Weber Genesis gas BBQ grill purchased in 2016 (available for our guests).

A walk out game room (Shelti professional tournament quality Foosball table, board games, card table) is on the lower level which is also equipped with a small kitchen and a half bathroom.

A few more steps down and you are on a large 50x20 Ft. deck right on the water which features a sofa, chairs, umbrellas and a guest favorite - a newer 4 person Signature Spa hot tub . The 50ft dock is perfect for fishing or you can tie-up your own boat or jet ski (or rent one from the many marinas on the lake OR you can rent my boat through Boatbound or Boatsetter). A staircase leads down into the water for swimming in the largely sand bottomed lake. We can provide flotation devises, swim rafts, water-skis and a 3-4 man towable tube with all the riggings. Bring water shoes, particularly for the kids. Bring your own Kayak or you can use our Kayaks - one is a 14 ft. Necky Maribou for more experienced paddlers and one is a high end fiberglass Hurricane Skimmer 116 sit-on-top which is perfect for novices and kids. And don't forget your fishing poles - Lake Hopatcong is one of prime freshwater fisheries on the East Coast.

Guest have access to the whole house except for three locked storage areas, one on each level. There is parking for 3-4 cars maximuim. In warm months, our boat may be docked there and its off limits.. although there is ample room for a boat or PWC if you bring your own or rent one. If you want to rent my Sea Ray 180 Sport stern drive motorboat, I can tell you how to go on Boatbound / Boatsetter where you can rent it... its cheaper and far more convenient than the local marinas... but like the marinas, you must have an experienced boat pilot in your party. I can provide a 3-4 man tube for lake tubing and I also have waterskis.

Bob, your host, lives in the area and are available to assist you to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Also ask about my other rental on the lake if you wish to coordinate the stay of larger parties across the two houses. Both of my lake rentals are rated #1 and #2 in the whole NNJ market based on guest reviews! I take a lot of pride in hosting and strive to do both the big things and little things that will make your stay memorable. Bob will stop by a couple times a week to test the hot tub, water the many potted plants (warm months) and check to see if there is anything you need. I prefer to personally hand-over the keys at check-in and explain the amenities of the house and home safety. All guests must be announced. And please ask about local restaurants, bars, attractions and shopping.... I will leave you menu's for local restaurants and can provide recommendations any time during your stay.

The Area: Deep-water Davis Cove is one of the nicest spots on Lake Hopatcong with 180 degrees lake views. The Lake itself has a long and rich history, discovered by the Lenape Indians 14,000 years ago, this was the chic destination for New York actors and socialites at the turn of the century and the roaring 20s. Today, the Lake is knows as the largest in New Jersey with 43 miles of shoreline and is very popular for fishing, water sports and restaurant-hopping via boat. Our home is on a quiet side street with little traffic and the neighborhood is perfect for walking, running with side roads and hills. There are numerous restaurants in the vicinity and also all around the lake.

Getting Around: 10 minutes from NJ Transit stop in Landing and 15 min from I-80. One hour from NYC and two hours from Philly. Again, there are many restaurants and bars all around the lake and several restaurants and convenience stores within 15 min walk.

Other Things to Note: Off-street parking is limited to 3-4 cars and if you are expecting any visitors who are NOT part of the guest number in your reservation, you must discuss with Bob. This is NOT A PARTY RENTAL and please be respectful to my neighbors. Boat rentals are offered at a number of marinas around the lake and my powerboat is also available to rent .. just ask me for the details. Lake tours and dinner cruises are offered on the Miss Lotta. If you do go boating, please let me point out a few spots where there are rocks.

We are on the main road entering the lake. It is a busy and active road. If you're looking for a quiet getaway or easy lake access, this house may not be for you. The road is busy and their are no sidewalks so kids and pets must be watched carefully.

Guests who appear to enjoy this house the most are here for events and activities: weddings, skiing, boating, hiking, visiting family or event work in the area.

The house is simple, open and cozy. Enjoy coffee on the enclosed front porch, a fire on the rear patio or relax in the living room with exposed ceilings.

The home provides space for both indoor and outdoor gatherings, provides access to a private boat launch and dock slip, parking for up to 4 cars, and all of the updated features to delight.

With elevated eastern facing views that provide the most amazing sunrises of Lake Hopatcong, Hillside Lake Retreat sits hillside overlooking Lake Hopatcong. The views and ambiance of this home are spectacular - lake views from the living room, kitchen, and the master suite. This home has just been renovated while keeping its Lakehouse charm, it features new appliances, a fully stocked kitchen, sparkling clean bathroom, and can accommodate up to 8.

Hillside Lake Retreat has everything your would want to enhance your getaway, whether you are looking for fun on the water in the summer, a special occasion with friends or a romantic getaway and its perfect for all seasons of the year. The home offers an open concept layout that provides views of the lake from almost anywhere you stand.

Upon entering the home, the dining room furnishes a large dining table that can sit up to 8 and a mini foosball/pool table, which leads into the kitchen that is equipped with new stainless steel appliances and a large island for those quick meals before leaving for a fun packed day. The living room furnishes 2 large comfortable sofas to watch the massive 65" LED cable TV.
-Master bedroom also provides stunning views of the lake and furnishes a brand new pillow top mattress that sleeps like a dream.
- 2nd bedroom located upstairs furnishes a full size memory foam mattress on a mechanical bed that reclines, another full size bed, a recliner and also provides Roku TV.
- 3rd bedroom (loft space, does not have wall between hallway and 2nd bedroom), also upstairs, furnishes another full size mattress and 2 twin trundle beds.
All the rooms in this house are equipped with air conditioners to keep you cool throughout the summer, and for the colder months, the electric baseboard heating will warm up any room in under 10 minutes.
As you head outside on the enormous 40 x 15 ft deck that overlooks the lake, you will see modern furniture, a huge 6 burner propane grill, table top fireplace, and TV Mount to enjoy outdoor movie night.

At the bottom of the hill, you will find a shed full of water toys such as inflatable floats, noodles and lounge chairs There is a private launch to launch your small boat, jetski, kayak, or canoe, and also a dock slip (right side of slip) for you to park the watercraft you may have rented from the multiple surrounding marinas.

There are many miles of outstanding hiking and off road vehicle trails that can be reached just steps from the property at the Prospect point preserve.

There's also 2 full size tennis courts as well as 2 full size basketball courts and a children's playground right down the street. There are many great places to eat on the water such as Lola's, Chapala's, The Stonewater, Pavinci's, The Windlass or Alice's, or on land such as the famous Jefferson Diner, Pub 199 or one of our favorites, Little Nicki's which is also, right down the street at Prospect point playground.

- This property is equipped with a RING security surveillance system. Security cameras are located on the garage, viewing the driveway, the front deck, viewing the front door, and the rear deck, viewing the rear door. All devices are recording audio and video 24/7.

- This home does not sit on a level property and is settled on a hill, hence the name "Hillside Lake Retreat". Guests are able to drive down or walk down the hill "private driveway, please reference photos" to get to the lakefront.

- Kayaks and Pedalboat are locked, code to unlock will only be given once liability waiver is signed and completed, as well as a photo with guest and lifejacket are presented to property manager (Text)

- Property owner maintains access to the detached double garage on street level by restricting guest vehicle parking to only 1 vehicle in asphalt driveway. There is a gravel driveway closer to the front door as well as multiple other parking spots on the lawn that are available for guests use.

- Ramp side of dock slip is utilized by property manager and family. They are only able to board their boat and leave the property immediately, they are not able to hang out in the yard or anywhere else on the property while guests are visiting and will not impede guests privacy or right to enjoy the property in any way shape or form.

The Television in the bedroom has the same identical mount as the mount located on the deck. Just lift the TV from the mount in the bedroom and slide it right on the deck. Bring the ROKU along and enjoy movie night or the game outside with the breeze.

The space
This is an apartment with a lake view. Apartment is completely independent with its own entrance and amenities. It is structurally attached/adjacent to owner occupied main house. Apartment has 1 Bedroom (supporting 2 queen beds), Living room , Dining Room, Kitchen and Deck. You will also have access to our driveway which can accommodate multiple vehicles.

We also provide a fairly large office space with ergonomic / standing desk (of flexible height) and an office chair to go with it . Please check pictures and amenities description for office.

Note: We would be able to provide 1 extra twin size mattress to accommodate 5th person in case you need more space or your group is a bit larger for 2 queen beds, but it may not be guaranteed. If that's your need, please enquire in the app beforehand so we can make sure that we can support that.

Guests will have full access to the apartment with its own entrance. Apartment have 1 Bedroom, Living room , Dining Room, Kitchen and Deck. You will also have access to our driveway which can accommodate multiple vehicles.

Please note that although all living spaces in the apartment are private and have no overlap with adjacent house, the deck although functionally private , because of its contiguous layout , should technically be considered as semi private; although you will have exclusive access to your own picnic bench.

Lee's House is newly renovated with a bright & airy feel and we can't wait for you to experience it!

There are 3 bedrooms. The 1st floor master bedroom sleeps 2 with a king bed. On the 2nd floor, the first bedroom sleeps 1-3, with a bunk bed that has a twin on top, and 2 twins or 1 king on the bottom (your choice). The other bedroom sleeps 2, with a queen bed and walk-in closet. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan. We are a child-friendly unit, if you need of a Pac n' Play and/or highchair, please let me know and we will have it setup upon arrival.

Enjoy the spa-like bathroom with a bubble bath or a separate standup shower - your choice! Get cozy in the living room on the sleeper sofa (turns into a queen-size bed) while enjoying the electric fireplace, 55" Smart TV and overlooking the lake across the street. We offer Disney+ & Hulu to all our guests, feel free to log into your own accounts for other streaming services. The eat-in kitchen is fully stocked with kitchen tools & essentials. As a chef myself, I wanted to make sure one has the tools to make anything they want to. If there is something specific you are looking for, please reach out to me!

There is no street parking. There is a designated driveway which can hold a 2-car max. NOTE: If you have more than 2 cars, please reach out so I can coordinate prior.

We are located within minutes of lake activities for you to enjoy. Walking distance to some of the lake's top attractions such as Jefferson House, Windlass, Alice's, Miss Lotta, Lake Hopatcong Adventure Co & Golf Club. There are multiple marinas within minutes driving where you can rent a boat or launch your own. We are 5 minutes away from Lee's Marina, another park where you can launch your boat for a daily fee. The best place to swim is at Mt Arlington Beach or Hopatcong State Park. Please check out my guidebook for more marina & swimming locations in the area.

Guests have use of the entire unit except for the basement and cleaner's closet, which are locked. You have full access to the backyard and deck. Please note the property is shared with a guesthouse and a studio, in which access is not permitted (unless you are renting it too). Smoking is not permitted in the house. You can smoke outside in the backyard and deck.

Other things to note
Lee's House is a peaceful getaway by the largest lake in NJ. The lake is my happy place and I am delighted to share all the beauty this area has to offer with you.

Newly built in 2021 you’ll enjoy the entire basement level of this lake front home with private entrance. Hosts occupy the first floor of the home. It is located on the Northern end of Lake Hopatcong which is perfect for waterskiing, tubing, kayaking, fishing, or just sitting on the dock watching the sunset. We are minutes away from many hiking and biking trails. Rent a boat at Bridge Marina for a day and explore the largest lake in New Jersey. Only 5 miles from Interstate 80.

My wife Debbie and I will enjoy having you in our home. We are just steps from the Lake Forest Yacht Club. You can have front row seats on our Dock for their yearly Wakeboard Competition and Fall Boat Racing.

We are just a 5 minute drive from the Mahlon Dickerson Reservation where you can enjoy the outdoors with a short or long hike or ride a trail bike.

Bridgeside Lake Retreat is nestled on the northern portion of Lake Hopatcong right next to Brady Bridge, Bridge Marina and Lakeview Marina. This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom lakefront property had been completely remodeled and features all brand new appliances and fixtures.

Guest access
Guests of Bridgeside Lake Retreat have exclusive access to the entirety of the property as well as access to 2 pedalboards and 2 kayaks

- This property is equipped with a RING security surveillance system. Security cameras are located on the 2nd floor overlooking the driveway, on the shed facing the front of the house and on the shed facing the yard and dock space. All devices are recording video and audio 24/7.

- Kayaks and Paddleboards are locked, code to unlock will only be given once liability waiver is signed and completed, as well as a photo with guests and lifejacket are presented to property manager (Text)

- Left side of dock slip is utilized by property manager and family. They are only able to board their boat and leave the property immediately, they are not able to hang out in the yard or anywhere else on the property while guests are visiting and will not impede guests privacy or right to enjoy the property in any way shape or form.

Private lakefront house on a level lot with direct access to the lake (no stairs.) This property is great for families and groups looking for a longer stay or just a long weekend. Spacious new dock/deck with outdoor patio seating, makes it easy to spend time outdoors. The house provides the perfect space for a group of six to enjoy lakefront living. In the first level you will find the bedroom with a queen bed, shared bathroom, washer/dryer, kitchen and dining room area. The second level is a huge open space that has a bedroom setup with two queen beds and living room area with balcony.

Our home is a two bedroom, 1.5 bath lake front property on the northern shores of Lake Hopatcong. Each bedroom is equipped with a queen bed and the third bed is a pull out couch. You'll have complimentary access to a canoe and kayak, which we require you to wear life jackets when using. The deck is massive and overlooks the serene beauty of the lake. The lake front property allows you to experience the fullness of Lake Life!

Newly renovated 4BR/3.5BA lakefront property with multiple sitting areas, both inside and outside, is the perfect spot for relaxing and having fun with family and friends. Our two bedroom, one bathroom lake house provides plenty of space for a group of up to six to get to enjoy lakefront living. Wake up early, brew some coffee and walk out to your own private dock to watch the sunrise or stay up late visiting the seven different bars and restaurants on Lake Hopatcong. If you'd like to stay home and cook in, you can prepare a delicious meal in our well appointed kitchen, with a Weber grill outside on the patio. With brand new mattresses you'll be sure to get a great night sleep waking up ready to get back outside and explore the four mile hike to Liffy Island and back from just down the road. Our home offers easy private parking for three cars, with a flat lawn and easy access to the dock and lake.

WINTER BOOKINGS RELATED TO SNOW: We do have someone who comes to the house to do snow and ice removal BUT they are not able to be at the home 24 hours a day as the snow falls. We provide multiple shovels, and calcium to melt the snow and ice in the driveway with the expectation that if you need to get out of the driveway in an immediate manner while its snowing, that you plan to do so yourself.
