A beach cottage, as close to the natural habitat as possible in Cape May Point, a TRUE BIRD LOVERS PARADISE ! Only one property is between this home and the Alexander Avenue Beach access with wonderful views of the Delaware Bay, Sunset Beach and the Cape May/Lewes Ferry path. Open floor plan on level one with dining area, living room, kitchen with an island and one bedroom (queen)/ full bathroom (tiled shower stall). Second floor offers spectacular Delaware Bay and Sunset Beach views with a deck, two additional bedrooms, sitting area with a queen size sleeper, bathroom with soaking tub. One bedroom has (2) Twin Beds, Primary bedroom (King Bed) has a small space attached with a twin day bed that offers additional sleeping arrangements. This historic home in quaint Cape May Point, named Song of the Sea, is one of the "Five Sisters" - five identical cottages built at the Point in 1875 by Dr. J. Newton Walker, son-in-law of Sea Grove (former name of Cape May Point) founder, Alexander Whilldin. This is your perfect vacation spot just steps away from the beach. Stroll down the quiet street to Surf Avenue where a sandy path leads through the trees and up over the dunes to a wide white-sand beach with the Atlantic Ocean on the left and the Delaware Bay on the right. Lifeguards protect the beach in summer. In the evenings, watch spectacular sunsets as you relax on the beach.
The property has its original hardwood floors, large walk out windows, wrap around screened porch with wicker chairs and porch swing, and open 2nd floor deck. Be aware that the stairs to the 2nd floor are original and are steep. Use both railings as you go up or down.
This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home can accommodate up to 7 people (six adults plus one child), and features a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area, five individual mini split wall air conditioners, washer/dryer, street parking, fenced in back yard with outside shower, gas grill and patio seating area. Comcast cable and internet are supplied for your entertainment. You can easily walk to Pavilion Circle, a grassy park in the center of town where people gather to play volleyball and children's games during the summer season. The host is easy to communicate with and the house has a detailed information book. There is plenty of room inside the house and a backyard, a screen porch, and an upper deck for stargazing. The home has a large driveway with parking for 4 cars and is located on a double lot with plenty of beautifully landscaped outdoor space. The back of the home has large windows and sliding glass doors to decks on both the first and second floor with spectacular dune and sunset views. Located on the first floor deck is new extra large stainless steel gas Weber grill.There is a huge custom cedar and mahogany outdoor shower at the side of the home. This 1920's beach bungalow updated in the 1960's, third generation in the same family owned by three sisters and a brother, centrally located in Cape May Point on the flyway for migrating birds and monarch butterflies. The high peaked ceiling of the open floor plan living/dining room with a galley kitchen to one side make this 465 sq. foot house feel spacious and cozy at the same time. With two small bedrooms, each containing a single/twin bed and a full-size futon sofa bed in the living room this welcoming house sleeps four persons. Two porches on either side of the house, an outdoor shower, and a gas grill outside of the kitchen add outdoor living space in the incomparable township of Cape May Point.
The large living room window overlooks Pavilion Circle Park. When the outdoors beckons the house is two short blocks to the beach on the Delaware Bay with life guards during the swimming season. A two block walk in the other direction take you to Lilly Lake, otherwise know as "The Duck Pond." A mere half mile takes you to Cape May Point State Park and it's nature walks. LAYOUT: The house has an upside-down layout, with 4 bedrooms on the 1st floor and the kitchen, living room and dining room on the 2nd floor. There are two, brand-new full bathrooms; one on each floor. Downstairs has a bathtub and shower; upstairs has a shower only. See photos for floor plans.

DOWNSTAIRS: 4 Bedrooms & 1 Bathroom

• The counter along the kitchen seats 5 and the dining room table seats 8-10

Living Room & Sitting Area:
• The main area has a sectional couch, accent chair, coffee table and TV and seats 6-7 comfortably

• The sitting area has a sleeper sofa (fits 2), coffee table and accent chair and is perfect for reading or playing games/doing puzzles (which are included as well!)

OUTDOORS: One of our favorite things about this house is the abundance of outdoor space!

• 2nd floor, Back Porch: This is screened-in and runs along the length of the living room/sitting area; one side has chairs and a table to relax, and the other has a table and benches to dine al fresco

Coral Pines is one short block from the beach and is situated on a large piece of property. It has a fully equipped kitchen and an open floor plan. You can see the beach entrance from the front walk. The master bedroom, on the second floor, has a private sitting area for watching television or reading and a private deck bordered by pine trees where you can look at the stars at night. During the day you can lounge on the deck instead of heading to the beach with the rest of the group. There is a den on the first floor where there is some privacy to read a book or check email while others gather in the spacious, sunny living room. The backyard is accessed from the den and is very private. It has a patio with patio furniture and a gas grill. You can actually bird watch from the back yard. You won't be spending much time indoors. When you're not on the beach, you can take a short stroll or a bike ride to the Lighthouse and the State Park. Bring your bikes - the Point is bike heaven. Cape May Point beaches are beautiful. You can walk along the beach to the famous concrete ship or go in the opposite direction for a walk to historic Cape May.

The third outdoor area is a porch off the master bedroom. This is an amazing opportunity to rent in a very desirable neighborhood that is very close to the beach. • Feel free to use house phone for local and unlimited long distance calls at no charge. No international calls please.
• Trash and recycling pick-up on MONDAY. Leave barrels at curb on Sunday after 3 PM and no later than Monday 5:30 AM. Replace barrels beside porch after pick-up, NO LATER than 7:00 PM Monday. The borough actually issues tickets if trash containers are put out too early or removed from curb too late. All paper, cardboard, cans, bottles, and plastics 1-7 must be recycled in the large RED barrel or red tub (single-stream mixed recycling). You may be taking out previous tenant’s trash, but someone will be doing this for you. Thank you!
• Cape May Point also has a trash and recycling drop off center, if you have more trash than the containers can accommodate. It is open Wednesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. until Noon, and on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. It is located on Sunset Blvd, on the left side of the road leaving CMP and driving towards Sunset Beach.
• Cushions for covered porch furniture are in entry closet.
• Mattress cover and pillows for ground floor futon are in the first floor bedroom closet. (The bedroom with the queen bed)
• We have a tankless water heater so hot water takes a long time to start. Don’t give up, the hot water will come.

• Please avoid bringing sand in the house. Use outdoor shower when returning from beach. The shower has low faucets for just washing feet.
• Do not lower air conditioning thermostat below 73 degrees during high humidity, or the air handler will freeze and require defrosting

• There are 4 full-season beach tags for Cape May Point on kitchen window sill. PLEASE return these when you leave or you will be charged for new tags which cost $100 each. Tags are required from Memorial Day until Labor Day. Children under 12 are free. Cape May city beaches use separate beach tags. Lighthouse Beach State Park is free, with hiking trails, but no swimming is permitted, just wading. Higbee Beach State Park (on Delaware Bay) is also free.
• If you use the outdoor gas grill, close the valve on the propane tank when done. The igniter may not work so use long lighter at right side opening to start. One of these lighters should be located in kitchen island drawer.
• Portable Bluetooth radio available on kitchen counter- hold blue tooth button to sync with device
• Cable TV available with premium movie channels as well and Blu-Ray DVD player below cable box – available downstairs as well
• Fire extinguisher on kitchen counter.
• Futon in sitting room next to kitchen is very difficult to open and close, so we have not counted this as bed space.
• Washer and dryer in closet next to kitchen. Use very little detergent as this is high efficiency. We simply pour the detergent directly into tub as it is difficult to access the dispenser cup.

• Summer: Set thermostat to 75 degrees COOL with fan “on”. Leave all ceiling fans on “low” and bedroom doors open for ventilation. Close windows and lower shades. Leave sliding door to enclosed porch open about 6 inches for some ventilation.
• Winter: Set thermostat to 55 degrees HEAT with fan “on”. Leave all ceiling fans on “low” and bedroom doors open for ventilation. Close windows and lower shades.
• Leave door to washing machine open to dry.
• Turn off faucet for outdoor hose.
• Leave beach tags in bowl on window sill over kitchen sink
• Bathroom light dimmer switch on first floor should be fully off.

- "This house suited our need very well. We had two kids and four adults. There are plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms. The couch was a little annoying because it isn’t a full piece and the cushions slide apart. When you have a toddler all of their toys somehow end up in the separated part! Whenever we had a question or concern the property manager and the owner were helpful and immediately available. And the house is so close to the beach! We really enjoyed our stay."

In the evenings, watch beautiful sunsets as you look to the right over the Delaware Bay .We love to travel with our pets, and know that many of you do also, so we decided to make our home one of the few pet friendly rentals in Cape May Point. The house includes lots of outside living space with a wrap around screened in porch, a second floor wrap around balcony, and a back yard patio area with dining furniture and gas grill for your outdoor dining and recreation. The pet friendly back yard is completely fenced in and includes an outdoor pet washing area for the dogs and a outside shower for the rest. Every room in the home is cooled and heated with individual split level units. Xfinity wireless internet is available for your entertainment. Also available for your convenience is a washer and dryer, and outside shower, and plenty of free street parking. Walk to the Cape May Bird Observatory and Lake Lily and watch birds and butterflies during their fall migration. Downstairs with lovely sitting room and kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Only downside there is there is no ac in the kitchen, only a ceiling fan. But, definitely not a deal breaker. All other rooms have window ac units. There was a couple of things with cleanliness when we arrived, but Debi was fabulous and responded immediately to address this. The location is beyond perfect! Steps away from the beach and beautiful sunsets every night! Alexa is there for questions/music (there is a Sonos speaker, as well, but we couldn’t figure out how to connect). The only thing I would add are some knives for cooking. All in all, a fantastic week at the beach with a wonderful and responsible host!! Would 100% recommend!!"

Vrbo utilized long & foster to take our request. We struggled with communication, and our rental was occupied upon our arrival. The owners did their best to expedite our access to the home. Rushed cleaning, etc. We did receive our deposit so we assume the owners found their home in order, after our departure. The Deans."

Our house sits 300 feet from a white sand beach in quiet, picturesque Cape May Point. The house has an open floor plan and spacious outdoor decks. With it's three bedrooms, it's a special place for families, couples, or bird watchers to escape.

Glad Tidings sits in the heart of Cape May Point, just two blocks away from the lighthouse and the Cape May Point State Park and Bird Observatory. Guided walking tours are held in the internationally known bird sanctuary with seasonal bird and monarch butterfly migrations from early Spring into the Fall.

The house is also close to Sunset Beach with it's lovely sunsets and Cape May diamonds.

The house is a duplex. Each floor has a private entrance and can sleep 6 individuals. There are 3 bedrooms and a sleeping alcove. You will enjoy access to the entire floor as well as high-speed internet, telephone, high definition TV, refrigerator, washer/dryer, microwave, oven, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and central air-conditioning.

Each floor has its own spacious deck. The house also features a large outdoor shower, gas grill, and a backyard deck. There is also a storage area with things like umbrellas, beach chairs and beach carts as well as some sand buckets for play.

There is also a washer/dryer outside the house.

Other things to note
Guests must bring their own sheets and pillowcases, towels, bath mats, dishtowels, shampoos and toiletries. Bed comforters are provided. If, because of Covid concerns you feel more comfortable with your own bedcovers, then certainly bring them along.

One very short block from the beach ( 6 beach badges included) with a relaxed and cozy feel this house is bigger then it seems. With three large bedrooms and three baths, an extra work space with a built in bunk bed for an extra guest and a washer and dryer. The backyard is very private and completely fenced in and perfect for dogs. There is an outdoor shower and a grill and fire pit. The front room has a fireplace and the back porch is the perfect summer retreat.

Description of Space:

The large master bedroom on the second floor has a queen bed and a private deck, it also has its own three quarters bathroom with a steam shower and grab bar.

The two bedrooms on the second floor each have two single beds in them and share a full bathroom.

The room off of the laundry room on the first floor has a loft for one person to sleep and a large work area.

The front living room area has a sofa sleeper that pulls out into a large single bed and has a built in brick a gas fireplace.

The three quarters bathroom on the first floor is handicapped equipped.

We have a full kitchen with a large array of dish ware and cook ware, including crock pots and a fryer. The kitchen was recently upgraded with a new stove, refrigerator and dishwasher.

There is a large separate dining area off of the kitchen that can seat up to eight.

The back sunroom is likely the most comfortable room in the house with couches, books, games, puzzles, a large tv and the back yard surrounding it.
We have one of the few full backyards on the point that is completely fenced in and very private with a grill and fire pit.

There is also an outdoor shower for rinsing off or showering.

There are mini splits for air conditioning in the sunroom, living room, office space/laundry room, master bedroom, and one bedroom upstairs. The other bedroom has a traditional air conditioner unit.

The space
We use CDC cleaning protocols on all surfaces and linens. The 4 bedrooms have had the quilts and extra pillows removed. All surfaces (railings, nobs, handle, switch, lamp, remotes, faucet, bath and kitchen fixture) through out the house are sanitized after each rental.
The linen service ($65) provides towels, sheets, and kitchen linens.
Housekeeping is to clean as stated above. Housekeeping is NOT a MAID Service. The house and contents are to be left as they were upon arrival. If not left that way there will be an Extra Service Fee of $100.

Guest access
Great WiFi for those virtual visits to family and friends. Bring your own cable for Ethernet connection and work from a vacation home. The kitchen has all the pots/pans you could need to cook up those delicious new recipes we are all discovering. This is a home away from home, with lovely quiet beaches and backyard grill to cook up your favorite seafood or bring in food from takeout. Our home will provide you with a safe clean escape.

Other things to note
If you prefer using your own pillows and linens please let me know so the beds can bed left bare. Linens are picked up at 9:30 on check out day. Please have them bagged by the front door. Leave unused linens in 1st floor bath vanity shelf, right side. Please contact me with questions.

LAYOUT: The house has an upside-down layout, with 4 bedrooms on the 1st floor and the kitchen, living room and dining room on the 2nd floor. There are two, brand-new full bathrooms; one on each floor. Downstairs has a bathtub and shower; upstairs has a shower only. See photos for floor plans.

• The counter along the kitchen seats 5 and the dining room table seats 8-10

Living Room & Sitting Area:
• The main area has a sectional couch, accent chair, coffee table and TV and seats 6-7 comfortably

• The sitting area has a sleeper sofa (fits 2), coffee table and accent chair and is perfect for reading or playing games/doing puzzles (which are included as well!)

Completely renovated in summer 2021... we designed this house to be your home away from home. Here's a bit more detail about what to expect. If you have questions, just ask!

LAYOUT: The majority of the space is on the first floor, with the living room, dining area and large cook's kitchen in the A-frame section. Toward the back of the house is a wet bar, laundry, 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms (brand-new, one with a bathtub, and the other a shower). Along the side of the house, through the back kitchen door, is a screened-in porch. The 2nd floor is the A-frame main suite, with sitting room, the 3rd bathroom (also brand-new with double vanity and walk-in shower), and the 4th bedroom, with outside deck. See photos for floor plans.

DOWNSTAIRS: Open floor plan living space with vaulted A-frame ceiling, several large floor-to-ceiling windows, and lots of seating.

Kitchen & Dining:
• The kitchen is brand new, with all the things you'll need to whip up delicious meals (6-burner gas range and stove, microwave, coffee maker and grinder, toaster, blender, griddle, lobster pot, knives, mixing bowls, etc.)
• The island seats 3 and the dining area with built-in seating seats 6-8

Living Room & Bar:
• The main area has a sectional couch that seats 7 comfortably, coffee tables, side table
• The console cabinet under the TV is stored with games and puzzles for all ages

• 2nd floor, Back Porch: This little hidden oasis is on the backside of the A-Frame, with a sectional outdoor sofa and lounge chairs.

You can see the beach access from the front yard and can easily walk to the beach. The nest is located across from Cape May Point State Park and near the Light House, Sunset Beach and the Bird Observatory and is only 2 1/2 miles to downtown Cape May. Note: no linens provided.

We do not provide linens due to our constant turnover. There are 2 Queens upstairs, 3 Fulls and a twin downstairs.

Our spacious beach house is available for weekly rentals in the summer and a minimum of 2 nights the rest of the year. In the summer, we have a Friday to Friday check in & check out. We have 4 bedrooms. We are Four blocks from guarded & secluded beaches. Family friendly neighborhood, very short bike ride to Lighthouse, nature trails, winery and town.
Rentals are weekly from June 1 through September 14.

We like to be upfront about our policies, to avoid any confusion as to what type of vacation rental you will be booking. Paradise at the Point may be a great fit for your group, but big parties are not acceptable. Before booking, please take the time to consider what your group’s vacation plans entail to see if everyone will consider this property to be a good fit.

- The primary renter must be a minimum of 30 years of age.
- Absolutely no prom, high school, college or spring break renters.
- If you have falsely represented your group, your lease is considered null/void and you will not have use of the property. No monies will be returned.
- Only those stipulated in the rental agreement are allowed. No outside visitors.
- All interior areas of this house are 100% smoke free. Any smoke detected after your departure will result in the loss of your security deposit.
