The space
Private guest house in the backyard with one driveway spot.

There is a bedroom with a queen-size bed and a full-size pull out couch in the living room with a foam mattress.
Guest access
You will be staying in the back unit, which faces the adjacent street overlooked by the backyard. There is a driveway to park a car for your convenience. You can walk through the gate and it will be the 2nd entrance to the right.
It should be noted we live on a street of identical new-build homes. There is active construction building the remaining units at the end of the road.

1. Are linens included?
Yes! We provide sheets and bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths. Currently we do not provide beach towels.
2. How far are you from the Asbury boardwalk?
We are located ~1 mile (approx 5 minute drive) from the Asbury Park boardwalk and only a half mile from main street home to notable bars like Johnny Mac!
3. How far are you from the beach?
Depends on the beach! We are a 5 minute drive from Asbury Park beach, Ocean Grove beach, and Bradley beach. We are an 8 minute drive from Belmar beach. And we are 20 minutes from Point Pleasant beach.
4. How far are you from wedding venues?
We are about 1.5 miles from the Berkley Hotel and Asbury Hotel.

6.What is the parking situation?
We have a designated parking spot for guests on the driveway. There is free street parking for overflow.
7. Do you provide beach chairs and beach badges?
At this time, we do not offer beach chairs or badges. This is because there are so many beaches to choose from and it’s hard to limit to just one! See our beach badge guide for details on purchasing daily badges!
8. What is the bed/bath layout?
As you enter the home, you will be greeted with a space to store large items like bikes and a small working area with a desk. You will walk up stairs to the main living area, a bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a full bath.
you will have this private, quiet guesthouse all to yourself ..14' ceilings and a 25'x10' balcony to sun on....it comes with 2 free beach passes, and a beach cart with 2 chairs and umbrella......you may have stayed in my front house with the peace sign, now, I am offering my rear guesthouse, originally built in the 1800's as a barn, this redesigned building with 14' ceilings was completely rebuilt in 2003 just 4 blocks from the beach. It is walking distance to everything.
The space
this is a great place for two, however, the property is not set up for children or pets......it is a quiet residential neighborhood retreat up in the trees so there is little tolerance of loud or drunk carrying on.
Guest access
the guests will have access to the garage with 2 bicycles w/locks.......beach towels..........2 free beach badges........ I will be providing blue tooth speakers so you can access your music stations in the guesthouse.
Other things to note
the guesthouse accommodations are on the 2nd floor so if you have problems with the stairs it may not be for you.

The space
Our garage apartment has been a beloved home to friends and family since we moved to Asbury Park in 2016. We lived in it for three years while renovating our main house on 5th Ave.
Upon entry, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen and an open living space, perfect for board games, overnight guests, and kid-friendly playpens and toys. The sliding screen door provides a refreshing cross-breeze during the day.
Off the kitchen is a full bathroom with a sunken shower. Adjacent to the living area, you’ll find two rooms:
Main Bedroom: This spacious room features a queen bed, walk-in closet, reading nook, and workspace. It's the perfect size for a pack-and-play crib.
Sunken Sunroom: A cozy alcove with a loveseat that pulls out to a twin bed, ideal as a dedicated play area or sunny morning reading nook.
The walk-in closet includes a blow-up mattress and spare sheets.
The living room couch can accommodate a fourth guest if needed, though the space may feel tight with four people.
Enjoy strong WiFi and a Samsung Frame TV equipped with all the latest streaming apps.

Downtown Asbury Park is just a 2-minute drive away, with coffee shops within walking distance. A Wegmans, Target, and Costco are conveniently located within 5 minutes off Sunset Ave in Ocean.

While the apartment is situated above our garage and at the rear of our property, please note that both the garage and backyard are not included in your rental.
For guests with pets, you’ll be happy to know that the neighborhood is very pet-friendly and safe, perfect for morning, afternoon, and evening walks.

Please empty all trash and recycling into the designated bins by the assigned parking spaces during your stay and prior to check-out.
If your stay is longer than 3 days, and during one of the below collections days, please bring trash to Comstock Street the evening prior.

Centrally located 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage on the east side of Asbury Park. Beachy shiplap throughout and soothing decor. 3 blocks to the beach and Convention Hall. A quick walk to The Stone Pony and Cookman Avenue.

The space
Historic 1889 converted carriage house with beachy shiplap. First floor has a full kitchen and open floor plan living room as well as a full bathroom. The second floor has 3 bedrooms - one king, one queen, and one twin - as well as a full bathroom. The twin room is the access point for a southern facing large balcony deck. Plenty of large closets for storage and extra supplies. First floor small patio area has outdoor seating and tables.

We love our home in Asbury Park and we are always available to help make your stay more enjoyable. If you need recommendations, or help with directions, parking, reservations, and concerts, reach out at any time!
Because the cottage is located in our gated backyard, and we have 3 young children as well as an elderly small dog, we are firm on the following policies:
No parties
No smoking or vaping of any kind on the premises
No animals
No parking in the driveway (we obtain 1 parking permit for our block for you and/or help you find free street parking on any of the adjacent blocks)
No more than 5 overnight guests, inclusive of all children
