Alan and his team are very friendly and knowledgable about Chaweng. I ended up being the only guest staying during the end of my time and genuinely can’t fault anything. A large selection of motorbikes for hire and plenty of tours can be booked through Nids. There’s a 7/11 with cash machines and a currency exchange around for convenience amongst the bars of Soi Reggae. I had the optional breakfast most mornings and it was spot on, eggs, bacon, fruit and coffee. There is a nicely sized swimming pool too, that is clean with plenty of chairs and loungers. Unfortunately it was raining most days (which can’t be helped) but the dirt road along the lake leading to nids did get a bit churned up. Easily manageable if you take it slow on the bike. Thanks for the great stay Alan, much appreciated. "

Large single storey house, entrance is through a large French window from the terrace, onto a large living/dining room, and open kitchen also opening onto a rear terrace. Access to the bedrooms and the bathroom/wc is via a wide, bright corridor whose windows overlook the rear terrace where travelers can access to dry their laundry or towels. The 2 large bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans, air conditioning, large king size beds (180×200), a mini refrigerator, a large dressing room, a large chest of drawers, a table/make-up mirror area, a safe . Each bedroom has a large window equipped with blinds overlooking the terrace and the spa. The large terrace in front is partially shaded. Travelers can enjoy a swing, relaxation areas with tables and armchairs, as well as a large Spa for 4-6 people.

The nearest beach is down the hill, but the more popular beaches are a 15-45 min. drive away. There are a few restaurants nearby (refer to the Airbnb Guidebook), and our Thai cook, Dia, can prepare vegetarian/vegan meals, if requested a day ahead of time. You can also request help with transportation, laundry or other services. If you are keen to practice recycling, we keep a compost and collect glass, plastic and cans. On your arrival, you will find a basket of fresh fruit and flowers, along with complimentary teas and coffee, muesli or granola, UHT milk, olive oil, sugar, honey and other condiments. There is also excellent quality filtered water available in the kitchen. The fragrant soaps are also yours for the taking.
If you have a choice of when to travel, we suggest you avoid mid-March-April, which the hottest season of the year. The house heats up during the day and without AC, you may be uncomfortable. Likewise, avoid all of November, which is the monsoon season when it can rain heavily every day.
