There is a main pool area located across a busy road however the resort has two crossing guards to ensure everyone's safety as they cross the road. This is the resort's main pool & beachfront access area with lots of lounge chairs & a smaller children's pool with a water slide. It's lovely & includes a bar/restaurant as well as access to paddle boards. The beach in front of the resort is ok, however there is a long walkable beach to the right (facing the water) with great swimming. Breakfast is served in a dining area at the center of the resort where all the rooms area in a lovely relaxing area. There were lots of options with several hot dishes, breads, cereal, yogurt & fresh fruit, a grill for eggs, bacon etc. They had (3) coffee machines juices, water & chocolate milk.There was definitely something for everyone. We didn't eat dinner at the resort altho food looked delicious. There are lots of great local restaurants nearby. I used the gym several times while we were there, it was never busy & was open 24/7. There's a nice games room with ping pong, billiards & air hockey."

- "I just moved to Kimpton hotel from Centra Reserve. I wanted to have 2 different experience. Centra staffs are over beyond nicer than Kimpton. It is different level. The Kimpton is very dark. They do not offer 5 star service in terms of staff. So if anyone try to compare smile of this country choose Centara vs Kimpton Katalay. I think you will enjoy their hospitality, also the ppl in the front desk - Big (the guy name) he is so nice and all other ladies and pool staffs, restaurant staffs are doing their best. Great staff and service, the location seems quite far from the urban areas such as fisherman’s village but hotel has shuttle bus three rounds a day to go to those places. - "Hotel rooms are called Pages and Chapters. Outstanding staff. They were excellent, can not say enough about how they went, what I thought was well above and beyond my expectations. I loved the red and green ceramic pool tiles after having a blue pool for 15 years. Pool staff was excellent. The entire staff were excellent.
