- "This is a very under rated resort. The staff are very friendly and helpful. As soon as we got there we felt so relaxed. The resort itself is a bit off the main road so it’s a bit of a walk to anything but we just rented a scouter to rip around everywhere so it really wasn’t an issue. It’s actually nice that it’s away from everything as you get a more peaceful experience. The whole theme and landscaping of the resort is beautiful as well as an amazing pool. The restaurant is fantastic and really makes it hard to want to go anywhere else. Overall I had a great experience at this resort and would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a relaxing environment, good food, and great staff. Will definitely stay here again. "

The service is incredible, all the staff are very attentive, welcoming and work hard to make your stay perfect. The food and drinks are great, breakfast is very tasty with a great selection. The whole place is well styled, you feel like a Bond villain. It's well located, you feel like you are in the middle of the jungle but with a moped (which you can rent from reception) you can easily and quickly get to beaches, restaurants etc. You can easily spend loads of time here, the views are 10/10, and the rooftop pool is a great place to chill, especially with happy hour drinks! We made the mistake of only booking this place for a few nights as we wanted to try a different part of the island, it turned out to be a disaster with our booked hotel being nothing like the photos. We went back to Varivana ASAP, they welcomed us back and were very accommodating. Overall we'd highly recommend this hotel and we will be back when we're next in Thailand! The only thing I'd say to improve the experience would be to add some music around the pool and bar, particularly at sunset to add to the atmosphere. Some deep/tropical/chill house music would be amazing. "

The staff are outstanding, got me very good prices on bike rental and tours. Town is walkable but hotel is at top of hill and town has no sidewalks so it can feel uncomfortable to walk at times, but doable and renting a bike is super easy. Great pool, great spa and they host music about once a week, which was nice and couldn’t be heard from my room if I wanted to go to bed early."

Recently to cut a long story short I am not long back from what was an amazing holiday but unfortunately I was involved in a motorcycle accident that left me very shaken, hurt and scared. The staff at this hotel were like my saviours and cannot recommended this resort highly enough. I will forever be grateful for there professional service and support at what was a very difficult time for me. They helped me in everyway possible way from discounted accommodation to helping me with personal care of my injuries. To even running me to and helping deal with banking. If it wasn't for the staff at this resort giving me care beyond of there requirements I don't know who I would have coped. The rooms have a view that is second to none. My room is on the side of a cliff and you can see the blue water down below. If that was not enough miles of beautiful mountains surround you. There is an outside rain shower and the jacuzzi bathtub is also outside but private. It’s not everyday you can soak in a bathtub outside listening to the birds and watching fish breaking on the blue water below. The staff is as good as it gets. The people are friendly and helpful in every way . I can’t say enough about the wonderful staff. They helped me with my luggage, made breakfast, cooked dinner, tended bar, cleaned my room and even rented me a motor bike. They also told me where to go and how to get around the island while providing me a map. On a personal level we talked and laughed at the 360 bar that they also ran. The 360 bar is 200 meters up from the resort and it is an amazing bar that has the best view on the island and maybe one of the best views in the world. The best I have seen. The sun sets over Thailand and the sky treats you with a different work of art each and every night. When I left, the staff booked my ferry and taxied me to the port. She helped me check in and waited until I was settled. This is one of those experiences that has made my life better. Thank you . "

- "Good location on a nice beach lovely breakfast and friendly staff " - "If on a bike, be very careful on the access roads. Concrete is corroded and very steep hills. Very friendly staff and they will move your bike in and out. The road parking down to the pool is is corroded to soil now, so will carry dirt into the room. We were on the top floor and there were reptiles on the roof keeping us awake. We also saw a big legavaan just out on the access road and it ran off into the bush. There are also sea urchins and sea cucumbers in the sea and lots of them. We wore wet shoes whenever swimming. Food in general is double the price of cheaper places so we ate elsewhere. The room was spacious and nice king size bed and they clean it every day if you put the sign on the door. Very nice in general."

The entrance to the hotel doesn’t look great from the outside and you arrive in a big car park but that really doesn’t matter once you get to your room and the swimming pool. "

The place we stayed in was our own personal cabin and the service and vegan menu there was incredible, and I’m a meat eater. We had the bruschetta, the smoothie bowls and the crapes and all was a chefs kiss. Our ferry arrived early and they let us use the pool and got us in early check in. The cabin was so cozy with a deck & hammock. Hotel arranged the scooter for us right from our hotel. I wish I never had to leave!"
