- "This is a very under rated resort. The staff are very friendly and helpful. As soon as we got there we felt so relaxed. The resort itself is a bit off the main road so it’s a bit of a walk to anything but we just rented a scouter to rip around everywhere so it really wasn’t an issue. It’s actually nice that it’s away from everything as you get a more peaceful experience. The whole theme and landscaping of the resort is beautiful as well as an amazing pool. The restaurant is fantastic and really makes it hard to want to go anywhere else. Overall I had a great experience at this resort and would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a relaxing environment, good food, and great staff. Will definitely stay here again. "

The service is incredible, all the staff are very attentive, welcoming and work hard to make your stay perfect. The food and drinks are great, breakfast is very tasty with a great selection. The whole place is well styled, you feel like a Bond villain. It's well located, you feel like you are in the middle of the jungle but with a moped (which you can rent from reception) you can easily and quickly get to beaches, restaurants etc. You can easily spend loads of time here, the views are 10/10, and the rooftop pool is a great place to chill, especially with happy hour drinks! We made the mistake of only booking this place for a few nights as we wanted to try a different part of the island, it turned out to be a disaster with our booked hotel being nothing like the photos. We went back to Varivana ASAP, they welcomed us back and were very accommodating. Overall we'd highly recommend this hotel and we will be back when we're next in Thailand! The only thing I'd say to improve the experience would be to add some music around the pool and bar, particularly at sunset to add to the atmosphere. Some deep/tropical/chill house music would be amazing. "

- "Near restaurants, beach, etc but still off the main strip, made for a great spot away from the noise but close enough to much. The staff are outstanding, got me very good prices on bike rental and tours. Town is walkable but hotel is at top of hill and town has no sidewalks so it can feel uncomfortable to walk at times, but doable and renting a bike is super easy. Great pool, great spa and they host music about once a week, which was nice and couldn’t be heard from my room if I wanted to go to bed early."
