Plenty of stairs around the resort which can be a challenge if you have mobility issues but there is no other option for the hotel plus you get plenty of exercise which is good as the resort restaurant serves delicious meals at very reasonable prices. There is also a mini mart where you can buy essentials. You do not even have to leave the resort as the snorkeling is right of the beach which is not too busy. - "we just stayed here for over two weeks and enjoyed our stay very much. the ladies (staff) were friendly and attentive. the cabin was good with everything you'd expect from a 4 star resort. perhaps a little noisy from mopeds on occasion but that's common on KT. powerful air con. the infinity pool was great, it became a 'home base' to look forward to after a day out enjoying the island. food was standard Thai offerings, some fish options would have meant me giving 5* ratings across the board. it is up a steep hill off the main road but if you get a moped or taxis that won't be a problem. "High Bar" One (with the connotations that are implied) is right next door and good for chilling on an evening with great views."

- "This was one of our favourite stays while in Thailand for 3 weeks. We stayed in quaint, rustic bungalows. Very picturesque setting, located in beautiful bay. Great little restaurant & bar on site has great food and drink, very reasonable but if you want something else there are places within walking distance. We did intro dive with the resort dive operation - a superb experience - well worth considering if you are staying there. You don't have to be a diver to enjoy this resort. Staff is great. If time was our own we would have extended our stay. Highly recommend for people who don't make a habit of looking for where to assign demerit points - its not perfect but it is beautiful."

- "After reading some mixed reviews, I thought this property deserved a review. I want to start off by saying our room was incredible, we paid for a sea view and boy did we get it! Some of the bad reviews I’ve read complain about it being on top of a hill. This is true however the hotel run a completely free shuttle taxi service which we took advantage of everyday. You could just WhatsApp them and they would come pick you up. Around the local bay it was all day anytime up until 10pm. Then if you wanted to go to beaches further out, there were timetables. The food was nice for dinner. We had breakfast included, it wasn’t as good as other hotels we’ve stayed in on our trip, but there was still the option to have your eggs freshly cooked in front of you so we had scrambled egg/omelette on toast which was fine for us. To top it off, we checked out at 11am, we were allowed to leave our luggage there and when we came back at 2pm, they let us use the shower and then gave us a free shuttle to the pier to get our ferry! I forgot to mention on our arrival they provided a free shuttle from the pier also. Amazing service, would definitely stay again."

- "Owner made sure that everything was arranged during our stay. 2 tumbs up! We had a family bungalow with additional bed and was perfect for our stay with 2 adults and 2 kids. It’s right at the beach and near nice restaurants. It’s just out of the busy bars etc so perfect with no noise at all. Would definitely stay there again. " - "The view from the bungalow was great. All the beds were firm and every room had a twin and double or queen(I didn't measure). All rooms had or were in need of minor repairs. Things like loose floor boards, broken boards on the decks, clogged shower head, a broken hinge on a toilet seat. Lighting fixtures were dusty. I'm nitpicking though. Overall we loved it. Amazing location with a great view and clean enough that I'd return without hesitation. "

During the day tourists arrive by boat to snorkel and sunbath. By 4PM everyone is gone and the island turns to quiet zone. - "I think this place does not deserve the negative reviews it gets. First, there are NO accommodations on the beach. It's a small island; almost everything is on a hill. Cleaning is only every 3-4 days or on request; this isn't a 5-star hotel! This is the ONLY truly Green Accommodation I have encountered; the owner deserves respect & gratitude for trying so hard against the wave of the non-caring. - "Incredible views! Location is quite isolated relative to the small island, so be prepared to scooter (ideally) or taxi quite a bit. Beautiful beaches (Tanote, Shark bay, Freedom) nearby. Staff is friendly and helpful but not all of then speak English. But there will always be someone around who will. Overall a great experience and would recommend to all."
