Cozy and peaceful, air-conditioned studio/cottage by the sea about 4 km from the center of Loviisa. A separate small house is located next to the owner's house. Built in 2023.

The apartment is small and clever (about 18m2) and is therefore best suited for 2 people (extra mattress possible for a child).

The space

Welcome to enjoy the unique natural landscape of the Ahvenkoskenlahti nature area. Surrounded by sea, bird-rich reeds, butterflies, forest and meadows. Our property is located by the sea in Loviisa, close to the idyllic historical mill environment of Strömfors. We have an easy place for cyclists and motorists to rest, a marked cycling route passes by us. A private dock, sandy beach and rowing boat are available to everyone. We also have sheep in the field and you can pet them.

The space
In the courtyard building, in the courtyard of our house, there are three newly renovated rooms with lofts for 2-4 people: Tammi, Kataja and Pihlaja, each room named after the nearest tree. All rooms have a view of the sea. The rooms are small (about 13m2 + loft 6m2), but cozy and thanks to the loft, four people can sleep well in the rooms. Our guests have praised the comfortable beds, and thanks to the underfloor heating, the rooms stay warm and dry even in cool and humid weather. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is served on the covered terrace. The rooms have their own refrigerators and there is a shared microwave, kettle and gas grill. The three-room shared building next to the barn has a newly renovated bathroom with a shower, a washing machine and a dryer. With a separate entrance, the same building also has 2 composting toilets and a sink.
Wood-heated beach sauna with terraces and hot tub available for an extra fee of 45 eur/ 1.5 h, towels and soaps included. Paddleboards and canoe available for an additional fee, fishing also possible.

Guest access
Our guests can stay in the garden, on the covered terraces and on the beach. Surrounded by forest nature, sea and meadows. The nearest services are in Ruotsinpyhtää (8 km) and Loviisa (16 km).

During your stay
We live in the yard, so you can get advice and instructions whenever you need them between 9 am and 10 pm.

Other things to note
Two dogs, a human-loving border collie and a small Maltese dog, as well as a curious cat, visit our yard. We are a pet-friendly destination. If you want to fish, please contact us in advance.
