We are neither a hotel nor a youth hostel, but a great alternative to both: it is a place for everyone who appreciates an open, colourful, uncomplicated and warm atmosphere, who likes to meet people from different corners of the world, who likes a little more space than only the hotel room, who would like to cook something for him- or herself, who is looking for a “home away from home” – and that at affordable prices.
The space
As we are a very small hostel, we are particularly suitable for single travellers and couples/2 friends.
We have a total of 3 rooms (2 double and one 4-bed room), as well as a guest kitchen/living room - everything is on the same floor.
The rooms are equipped with a bed, a bedside table with light, a chest of drawers or similar, and in one of the rooms we also have a desk + chair. It's best to take a look at the photos to get an idea of what it looks like in our hostel :)
Each room is a little bit different and we can't tell you in advance in exactly which room you will end up staying (but you will of course be in the room category you booked!).
You can let us know in advance if you prefer the room with the double bed or with 2 individual beds and we will try (not promise ;)) our best to give you that room.
The prices are affordable because you share the bathroom, kitchen, living room and possibly also a room (dorm - if booked) with other guests. The bathrooms, kitchen, shared rooms and all other shared areas are thoroughly cleaned every day.
Guest access
In addition to your room, you have access to the kitchen and living room, as well as the bathroom and toilets...
Other things to note
Our Reception is always open in the mornings between 10:00 - 11:30 and in the afternoons (except for Sundays and public holidays) between 5:30 - 6:30. At these times we are in the hostel and we can do the check-in and check-out "in person".
However, it is possible to arrive outside these times without any problems - we just need to know in advance. (!)
You can arrive in the morning from 10.00 a.m. - the rooms are ready for occupancy from 1.00 p.m. at the latest. If they are ready earlier, you can, of course, "move in" earlier.
If not, you can wait in the kitchen or in the common room and have a tea or coffee. Or you can leave your luggage with us, go out to have a look at the city, and then move into your room later.
And: "We like it green" - i.e. sustainability and protection of the environment is important to us. You are welcome to do your bit and help, for example with the separation of waste, saving energy etc. - you will find plenty of small signs in our hostel ;)
Our beautiful and homely apartment is well served by public transport, 10 - 15 minutes walking distance to the city center, to shops, to art and culture or to the nature (parks/river). The apartment is bright and looks very airy due to the high visible roof structure. There is a comfortable bed, a cozy living room and a fully equipped kitchen. The apartment is suitable for couples, small groups / families and business travelers.
The space
Since 2017 years we have been running a small backpacker hostel and in 20160 we have converted the small rear building into a very nice little flat. The whole cottage was thoroughly renovated and everything is new. It has a surface area of approximately 40m². On the ground floor is a storage room for bicycles etc. and on the first floor is "your" apartment. Due to the high visible roof structure it looks very airy and spacious.
Since the apartment is located in a small cul de sac, it is generally very quiet.
Guest access
There is a small patio with table, bench and chairs, which is located between the hostel and your house and which you are also invited to use.
And do not worry, our hostel is just a small hostel (with 7 rooms), we are not a "party hostel", we do not take groups and we also remind our guests that it has to be quiet outside after 10.00 o’clock in the evening.
I live in the same house and there are usually no problems with noise etc ..
Other things to note
There is a TV in the apartment, you can receiver, however, only the (German) public channels.
