In 2018, we bought this large, damaged house with the plan to renovate it completely and live by the sea. We started by renovating the cottage, to live there with our 6-month-old boy, before tackling the renovation of the big house. And so the cottage naturally became La Petite Maison.
We will be happy to host you, quietly, in this pretty F1 entirely on one level and overlooking the garden.

The space
The small house consists of a bedroom, living room and kitchenette. The bathroom is separate from the toilet. A desk area is set up in the bedroom. Wi-Fi and Ethernet are available, and we are subscribed to fiber optic. The bedroom is equipped with a bed, with a new 160 cm mattress and bed frame.

The apartment is decorated in royal blue and mustard tones, the living room is equipped with a wingback chair and a sofa. Soft lights in the evening promote rest and relaxation.
Novels, comics, as well as a TV with Netflix will allow you to have a pleasant stay.

The kitchen is equipped with an oven and induction stove and kitchen equipment, as well as a dishwasher.


If you need, the garage is at your disposal if you want to park a motorcycle, sidecar included! Independent space for storing bicycles is also available.
For cars, street parking is required, which is a residential area with free parking. We park our vehicles there year-round.

Access to the Petite Maison is via the courtyard and garden.
A wooden walkway allows you to walk along the side of the house and reach the back overlooking our 400 m2 garden and the Small House.
This is attached to our house. So it's a shared garden and access.

Other things to note
The small house overlooks the garden only and is therefore very quiet.
We are a 5-minute walk from the port, the Fish Market and the Pointe du Siege and a protected natural area with lots of birds. We are also a 5-minute walk to the cinema, village, shops and markets.
For the large beach, access is on foot in 30 minutes, by bike and car in 5 minutes.

The space
Our house is in a residential area 15 minutes walk from the beach. The room, completely renovated and decorated in 2019, is located on the ground floor with an independent entrance. The private shower room and wc are adjoining the room and we provide towels, toiletries and bed linen.
For your infusion, coffee or tea, a kettle is available for your use. You can also find some books and guides about the area and free wifi.
From your room you can enjoy the private and independent sun terrace overlooking the garden (facing southeast), ideal for relaxing and having breakfast in the sunny weather.
Breakfast is included and is served at a time that suits you, baguette, croissants, Normandy butter, homemade jam, fresh fruit juice, yogurt and espresso or tea. On request with a supplement of 7€ per person we can offer you an english breakfast.

We live in the house and are available to welcome you upon arrival and departure. The times of arrival and departure are flexible, late arrivals possible.

We have a small king charles horse dog, Faline, very kind and loving who will be present in the garden. At the bottom of the garden we have two beautiful chickens.

We are at your disposal in case of need and we will be happy to communicate with you about Normandy and advise you on visits, walks and good places in the region from which we come.

The cottage is located in the center of the seaside resort of Ouistreham at almost equal distance from shops 300 m, port 600m, the sea 900m and the village 900m! Everything can be done on foot with a very pleasant small shopping center and at competitive prices at 400m. The bus that arrives from the train station and the city of Carn is direct and drops off 100m from the house. I look forward to welcoming you. You have a parking space in a free parking lot 300 meters from the house or in marked spaces 120 meters from the house. Parking in front of the house is prohibited as specified in the house rules.

Other things to note
All errands can be accomplished on foot. When the 2 bikes of the cottage are available, we lend them to guests with a protective cover to put by the guests in case of rain and store on the rack for 2 bikes present on the terrace of the cottage. Bikes are to be returned in the condition in which they were returned ( clean and inflated) . The accommodation must be left clean ( see instructions in the house manual) even if cleaning is taken care of by the owners. The bed linen option is available for stays of 7 nights at high season rates without price reduction. Outside this period, it is an option of €12 for the only usable bed, €5 per person for bath linen and €2 for household linen (tea towel and hand towel).
