- "Great spot Clean and Tidy" - "A lovely little cottage. Clean, cosy with a few little luxuries. Only issues were - it is advertised as sleeps 5 on book a bach but only has bedding for 4, however the owner happily sorted an airbed. Toilet paper and dishwashing liquid were in short supply, so we bought our own. However, we would still recommend and stay again." - "This cabin/studio is quiet, no shops or streets to visit. Host is in farm house next door. About 10min drive to Springfield or 20mins to Oxford. Lovely and quiet self contained space. "

Forest Lodge is a unique alpine wilderness lodge situated in the heart of the Craigieburn Range.
We are an off-grid lodge relying mainly on solar energy for electricity. Forest Lodge has amazing bush hikes and mountain biking right from the doorstep aswell as incredible night skies and spectacular sunrises.
If you are seeking a mountain escape, rest assured you will find what you are after.

The space
You will have a private 6-bed dorm room to yourselves with a shared communal kitchen and bathrooms.
Linen and bedding is not provided however this is available for hire at an additional charge of $10 per set.

Other things to note
Forest Lodge is an off-grid lodge running mostly on solar power with also a backup generator.
We have limited electricity, no heating or power in the bunkrooms overnight, however there is 24/7 charging in the lounge.
The kitchen is fully furnished yet has no freezer or microwave.
