Improving the room downstairs would make for an excellent venue for families as it is currently blocked off and unusable. A permanent barrier to the stairwell at the top of the stairs would also be advised."

Absolute beach front. There are only a few properties that are private, exclusive and have direct access to Merimbula's main surf beach. Even fewer also boast incredible ocean views, an outdoor entertaining deck to die for, a heated private swimming pool, a fully fenced yard which means you can bring your canine with you. The area:

Very few properties in Merimbula have private beach access. Beachfront Escapes backs right onto Merimbula's Main Beach. Leave the car at home and walk down the road to Cranky Cafe, take the dog for a walk around the lake or walk (flat walk) into town over the Merimbula bridge for an ice cream or a spot of shopping.

Micks Fishpen Retreat is a 2 bedroom, ground floor with all you will need for your next coastal break.

- "We had to leave after one night due to cockroach climbing all over the place terrible and left management a message and never got a reply. Wouldn’t recommend it for young families." - "I'm sad to say the 2 bedroom unit we rented was in desperate need of a revamp. Everything from the bedding to the kitchen utensils were old, dirty and musty smelling. The bathroom had a revolting smell, the shower and ceiling were mouldy, probably due to lack of bathroom fan. There was also a powerpoint coming out of the bathroom wall that was an obvious hazard. Ants and cockroaches were everywhere! We had to ask for a fan for the bedroom as none were provided. Can manage without AC but not having fans for the rooms was poor. We were shocked that there was no internet/wifi provided. This seems like another basic oversight. For the exorbitant peak prices that we paid for a 3 night stay here, we were sorely disappointed. We won't revisit, and wouldn't suggest anyone with children to stay here due to the level of uncleanliness and safety hazards."

- "Loved having this place as a home base, was walking distance to great parks, cafes, the bay (jetty) and the beach. The pool was so nice to have on the hot days too when the kids were beached out. The town and surrounding towns were just a short drive away which were an added bonus."
