The cabin is fully furnished and fully equipped and has been put together with comfort and convenience in mind to ensure your next break is a relaxing one.

Sandy Toes has a main room with a super comfy queen sized bed, the second room has a triple bunk with a double on the bottom and single on the top and there are two fold out single beds for the larger families. We also have a porta cot if you require it. Please advise which beds you will require so we can have the linen ready for your stay.

We love our environment so everything we use for cleaning and laundering is environmentally friendly.

The garden is lovely - your dog will love it.Fire up the barbie in the afternoon and you will never want to leave.Walk to the famous and popular Broulee Beach, Candlagen Creek and the awesome Broulee Brewhouse. Places like this are very rare around Broulee so get in quickly!

South Durras is located about 4 hours drive south of Sydney on the Princes Hwy. It is also 2 hours from Canberra. It is a unique village as it is completely surrounded by Murramarang National Park. The Eurobodalla nature Coast is truly unspoilt and has some of the cleanest beaches in NSW. Come and see our piece of paradise!

During winter months, there is no take-away food available in the village on Monday and Tuesday nights, but you have full kitchen facilities in the Shack.

We have another Airbnb located in our house on the property which we rent out (see listing 'Banyandah' - South Durras). Your space in the Shack is completely private, separate and out of their way.

Our most basic yet comfortable family cabin.

This cabin has a partly renovated laundry with large tub and flushable toilet. Guests have the use of a shared shower block.

Indoors consists of one bedroom (comfortable Queen bed), large bathroom, toilet, living room, kitchen and dining area. The well-equipped kitchen contains a 4-burner gas cooktop, microwave oven, refrigerator, all cooking utensils, electric jug, toaster and complimentary tea (bags), coffee (instant), salt, pepper, cooking oil, kitchen paper etc Large bifold doors lead onto a spacious undercover outdoor deck (this is a favourite chill-out spot). A versatile Weber gas barbeque is situated on the deck.

The property is totally off-grid. Ceiling fans provide a cooling breeze, a ducted gas heater provides wonderful warmth in winter. Rainwater is harvested in a large on-site tank...we love it but if drinking natural water is an issue please either bring bottled water with you or boil and cool the tankwater before drinking.

PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE WILDLIFE. You will be visited during your stay by an assortment of wildlife. Kangaroos, wallabies, possums and goannas are regular visitors. Birds including bower birds, kookaburras, finches, lyrebirds, cockatoos, magpies and the stunning Superb Fairywren frequent the grounds. NOTE THAT PETS ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN AT ALEXANDER'S COTTAGE.

We have no TV, washing machine, oven or hairdryer due to totally relying on solar for power. However, there is a 4-burner gas cooktop and a gas BBQ for cooking as well as a microwave, kettle and toaster.

In keeping with the natural, eco-friendly lifestyle we DON’T offer Wi-Fi, televisions or mod cons. What we DO offer is peace and tranquility, with the beach and bush at your doorstep, allowing you to escape the rat-race and recharge.

The space
The cabins are simple but comfortable and have everything you need for a fantastic get away. Cabin 2 is fully self contained with kitchen, dining table, own toilet and shower and large deck. The cabin has a Queen bedroom and 1 single bunk bed in the front room. Sleeps 4. As all water for the site is either collected or carted in, we ask all guest to BYO towels and bed linen.
