Featuring guided tours and accommodations alongside animal enclosures, Jamala Wildlife Lodge is located next to the National Zoo and Aquarium. Guests enjoy free WiFi and and an outdoor pool. African cuisine is served in the dining room. All bookings include a zoo tour experience where guests see a variety of animals including lions, tigers, cheetahs, bears, monkeys, giraffes and zebras. Overnight safari experiences are also available. The air-conditioned accommodations options include private suites and rooms, bungalows and a tree house. All offer a private bathroom, a refrigerator, tea/coffee making facilities and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Some accommodations offers a spa bath or bathtub. Jamala Wildlife Lodge is 8 minutes' drive from Manuka Oval. It is 10 minutes' drive from central Canberra and the Australian War Memorial.

A place to sleep and eat out at many cafes or restaurants nearby. A home away from home with a large yard. Can host 2 people but when booking you need to enter 1 person as the system may not let you book for 2 then we would add the extra cost for the 2nd person at check out.
Holiday stay, this one (1) bed room cabin with ensuite in attached to an existing 2br townhouse is bed and breakfast environment so ''not suitable for cooking any meals''. microwave oven, or continental breakfast may be provided at additional cost.
Weekend or 7 day stay preferred but longer term considered subject to further house rules and conditions. Located in suburb of Palmerston. Outdoor cooking may be arranged if required.
pets are limited to felines, rodents, reptiles fish and birds, do not include livestock or ungulate or canines or wild life or prohibited imported species.
Please advise if you require a heater or fan at time of booking. Looking forward to hear from you. All introductory questions welcome.

HOUSE RULES
keep place tidy day to day, take out rubbish regularly, strictly no cooking inside whether by byo stove, oven, air fryer or other cooking appliance, if cooking inside occurred by means other than microwave oven, extra bench or tables cleaning fee will be charged from $160. Where oil fume residue or splatter occur to surfaces such as walls or ceiling a repainting wall/ceiling fee from $800 will apply.
wipe shower tiles dry after use, Foto ID scan required on check in, we do not wait inside for your arrival but will greet you at the street entrance. Please arrive strictly within assigned check in time. No shoes to be worn inside, owner's personal belonging may be on premises please respect. Abide by full house rules which may be posted on notice board in the living room.
The property is over 30 years old so take it easy when turning taps or handles or operating switches. Consider if this place is right for you before requesting a booking. Looking forward to leaving a great review for nice guests.
Hot water supply is limited to one shower per day per person. Beds and furnishings are indicative only and may vary on the day. The cabin contain access to the main house for owners periodical use, do not enter. Free wifi is available at the shopping centre or byo data packs for all internet requirements. Free community Laundromat is in Gungahlin Town Center

Make your own tea and coffee in the dining room. Blankets and linen, towels available on demand.
For heater in winter or fan in summer add extra $5-10 per night per person for excess electricity (where usage is higher than $5 per day, usage may be confirmed at separate electricity meter and extra charges apply per KW hour), once you have paid the heating fee, you will then be issued with 1 heater or a fan. For all Cooking use microwave oven or kettle inside.
Cold water tap has been decommissioned in the bathroom, use hot tap only or mixer tap in the tearoom. Attend to kettle while boiling water.

wipe shower tiles and glass doors dry after each use, turn on fridge at power point behind fridge, Check-in time is between 4pm and 8pm (we sleep early), do state what hour you will arrive or we can nominate a few times. self-check-in facility not available but you can self-check-out if using door code.

Hot water will be switched on at check in then heated over 6 hours ready for shower. No free wifi on premises. Reviews left without reading the full house rules above will cause economic loss to the owner and the guest may be charged loss of rent of up to 7 days stay.

Where guest was approved for stay at below the market price of $60 per night, the guest consent for owner to have access to the owner's second bedroom entry via front glass hinged door in the cabin living room.

Electricity included for hot water and general power is up to $5 per day, additional usage must be requested to avoid power outage if exceeding the allowance.

Ask about our self cleaning option, where you professionally clean at check out and be refunded your cleaning fee less admin margins. Guests staying more than one week and opting to self clean, an inspection may be necessary each week.
