We did find that house keeping came 15 mins before checkout time but when they realised we were still finalising our bags and ensuring we had everything they left to return after we had checked out. This was the only fault we found with our stay at Abode. We would recommend the property for anyone looking to stay in Canberra. If you love the outdoors there are a number of nature spots like the Pink Lake across the road to go have a picnic and read a book, Lawson Mountain for a quick uphill walk to ✓ off the cardio workout and catch the sunrise or sunset(my balcony is a good place to catch the sunset too) or 5 km walk back and forth to the Belconnen Lake via the university of Canberra.

If you are driving in from Sydney heading to the snows , stay or base yourself at our place –it is only two hours away to the snow.

Stylish apartment that is close to the airport (7-10 mins by uber), to the city Center (10 mins by uber), and 30 seconds away from Kingston Foreshore bars and restaurants. You will have you bedroom and bathroom and complete privacy. If do feel like hanging out I love an intriguing fun conversation with my guests.
I have Netflix and flat screen tv that is great for watching HD tv series and movies if you like.
My internet is NBN that is super fast and convenient with no download limitations.

The space
You will have the lake view in the dinning area and the quiet for winding down in the bedroom that is located on the other side of the flat. My flat is at a reasonable distance from the restaurants and while you have the view you don’t get the noise.
Kingston Foreshore is one of the most lively and vibrant areas in Canberra. My flat is 30 seconds walk from it and this gives you a wide range of restaurants, bars, and cafes to go to. It is also very close to the airport and Canberra CBD and other nice suburbs such as Manuka and Kingston.

Please note since covid I have setup my desk in the leaving area and I do work from home. I do also have occasional workshops online that I attend to and I will be wearing headphones in the evenings.

You do have a small work desk in your room in case you need to work from home occasionally too.

The space
Canberra is known for its retro architecture and my place is part of that history. The space is in an apartment complex that was built in (around) the 80s, with well proportioned balconies on either side giving a great cross-breeze! You could definitely say that the saying "an oldie but a goodie" could apply to my apartment. The apartment complex is mostly owner-occupied which means that it is generally a quiet, family oriented environment with some heart. There are beautiful established gardens around the place that give the apartment leafy privacy and a feeling of being close to nature. Although the apartment is cosy, it has a beautifully light and peaceful vibe.

I am centrally located in old Kingston. A short walk to everything! You can stroll across the road to the Glasshouse and the Lake or into old Kingston for shops, boutiques and cafes. I am close-by to parks, gyms and a beautiful old heritage pool which is open in the summer months. The Bus Depot markets are across the road on Sundays and the Kingston Foreshore with trendy bars, restaurants and cafes are a short walk away too.

The apartment space is a studio situated in the Nesuto Canberra Apartment Hotel complex, but is my privately owned space that I use when working in Canberra.
