- "We loved our stay at Newstead Cottage. The relaxed vibe, lush garden and cosiness of the interior come across even better than photos. Normally we stay in a hotel, but in covid-regulated times it was a welcome change to have a tranquil place where we could switch off, listen to birdsong and the odd cockerel crowing... it felt much more like we blended in to Bajan life. The kitchen was superbly equipped with a huge fridge so we could comfortably fix breakfast. Other nice touches were the bedroom air conditioning, comfy bed and clean en suite shower room. Communication with the owner Susan was quick and friendly; there was no housekeeper but full change of linen including beach towels was all left there. We loved how close the cottage was to our favourite beach, Accra. We rented beds and shades from both the hotel and also Tiki Bar. We recommend Baby Doll on the boardwalk for breakfast, Shakers for the ribs, Champers for a special occasion, and Tiki Bar for lunch, the view and watching the world go by. We'd definitely come back."

Caroline the host was awesome and would instantly respond to any questions with great advise as to what to do and see on the island.. I highly recommend this place. Some words of advice - Farther Away is in deed just that - so a rental vehicle is a must. When we were there the beach below was filled with seaweed which is happening right now down the entire eastern side of Barbados (and a a lot of the Caribbean), as a result we couldn't use the beach right by the cottage. I'm told that isn't usually the case just bad luck on our part. There are many other incredible beaches within a 20 minute drive. Enjoy the view and the breeze, its truly a magical spot, and the rum punch provide as a welcoming gift is wonderful!"

It comprises of 3 double bedrooms, lounge, 2 bathrooms and a large patio.
Bedroom 1 has a queen size, 5ft bed, ceiling fan and ample wardrobe space. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have twin beds that convert into superking size 6ft beds. These bedrooms have ceilings fans AIR CON please remember this is charged for, AIR CON 10 hours 9 us per night for all bedrooms , total weekly 63 us. if you use it There is ample wardrobe space.
There are two bathrooms with walk in showers.
The lounge is light and airy, with two large comfortable sofas, easy chair, coffee tables and smart TV you are able to watch Netflix ect.

The cottage was designed to be very open and airy with shutters for windows instead of glass panes, and there is an additional ceiling fan and A/C in the bedroom to keep you cool in the Barbados sunshine. The open plan living area features a very comfortable sitting area and TV with a ceiling fan, and the kitchen is stocked with all the appliances and kitchenware you'll need on vacation. The bedroom has a comfortable queen-sized bed, A/C, ceiling fan, closet space and an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom is unique with an indoor/outdoor shower that has two shower heads, and a beautiful shell and stone vanity.

The cottage is located on the "platinum" West Coast of Barbados, but is tucked away in a neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle. There may be some neighbourhood noises heard from time to time (roosters, dogs, etc). The beach is located just 1km away, and further down the coast are restaurants, bars, and shopping centers. Whilst the cottage is in walking distance of the beach / main coast road, the return trip will be uphill.

Umi is a fully furnished, stand-alone cottage located next to Jahmoon, our vacation home in Dover. This is a walled, fully enclosed property at the far end of St. Lawrence Gap. Umi is surrounded by a flower garden with fruit trees. Very secure and convenient with a private pool.

Umi has one QUEEN-size bed that will sleep 2 comfortably. It's perfect for a couple and very popular with single females looking for a safe and secure spot near the sea. There is a ceiling fan as well as A/C and a spacious yard.

Free WIFI. No cable TV but there is a Roku device that allows access to Netflix, YouTube, etc. Internet speed is fast but we are subject to occasional outages from the service provider.

The cottage is located in the gardens of the main house. It is spacious and has 1 bedroom with Queen bed, bathroom, kitchen and living area. There is also an east facing patio off the bedroom with views of the sunrise. Please note that the AC in the house is disconnected so not available for use. There are lovely breezes the majority of the time and ceiling fans in every room. The cottage is also fully alarmed.

Guests have full and sole access to the pool and pool deck and have a private patio overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with dining table and chairs should they choose to dine outdoors.

- "Villamor is a gem of a find. The cottage is spacious and well equipped. It is very comfortable, both inside and out. The garden and the Swimming pool are delightful. We often returned early because the cottage was our oasis. There are no tourists nearby and you feel very much a part of the real Barbados. You need a car but the Drivers are very considerate and kind on the East Coast. Miami Beach is about 20 minutes away and the East Coast beaches are also easily accessible. Wynette and Doug are always around if you need advice but also are very considerate if you want to be private. Their help with our final leaving day made our journey home much easier. We’ll definitely be looking to return in the future."

"Hedzole" (Hey-Joe -Leh) is a cosy cottage on the west coast of Barbados within walking distance of all amenities and beautiful beaches.

You have all you need with a nice-sized living room, a fully equipped kitchen, fast internet and a private garden, where you can also catch the sun. There are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom and a coin-operated air conditioning unit in the bedroom.

if you are looking for a cheap a small self contained pad just a couple of minutes walk from the beach and a short bus ride (or leisurely 20 minute walk) from the heart of Bridgetown, then consider Sundale Cottage. It is a small cottage with the kitchen and bed in the one space and a separate bathroom. Please note that the bed is around 25% smaller than a normal double bed.

This a great location for beach holiday as you are very close to a very large beach and a selection of restaurants with 2 to 5 minutes walk including:
Bayside @ Nautilus; Coffeys Bar & Restaurant; Sage Bistro; and the Barbados Cruising Yacht Club.

The location is excellent for exploring the island as it is located on the main south coast bus route where in one direction you can get buses to Bridgetown and in the other to Oistins. From Bridgetown you can get buses to all part of the island.

Location, location, location...
Oistins is an area which is well known to tourists/travellers, being famous for its Friday Night Fish Fry, where you can experience great freshly grilled food, live music and entertainment. The cottage is situated on a central residential road with flowing car traffic, and on which buses operate. However, as the property is set off of the main road to Oistins and set slightly back from the road that it is situated on, you are able to enjoy peace & tranquility also.
A number of buses run from Oistins to town (and the various routes along the way, e.g. St Lawrence Gap), and from Oistins straight to the airport and nearby golf course (Durants). Bus stops are within a few minutes walk from the cottage. General amenities such as supermarket, places to eat, bank, are all within walking distance.

- "This little cottage is in the most convenient location, right next to a grocery store, walking distance to bars and restaurants and beach access. We stayed for almost two weeks while working, and it became our comfortable little home. The main room opens to a covered patio, while the bedroom window sits above the pond. There’s a washer (hang dry), a full cabinet of dishes and pots and pans. The property is lovely. The only thing is- if you do not like dogs and cats, although they don’t come inside the cottage, they are constantly in the outdoor areas up against the house and in the patio, just so you know. But the dogs are very nice and people oriented and we had no problems with them. I highly recommend this home!"

We loved the back porch and spent many hours there. Kitchen well stocked with needed items. - "My husband and I visited Barbados for a fertility procedure at Barbados Fertility Center. I searched online for a place that was walking distance to the clinic, restaurants, shopping etc. I found Cherry Garden Villa. Its a 3 minute walk to the main road/boardwalk and 15 minute walk to the fertility center (yes, I timed it). The beauty of the cottage is that it is within walking distance of everything the boardwalk has to offer yet very quiet, without all the hustle bustle of tourist and traffic noise. Mrs. Todd arrange for a taxi to pick us up from the airport. When we arrived, the studio cottage was super clean, air conditioned, with cable, hot water and no vermin. A welcomed respite for wary travelers. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is there: kitchen appliances, pots, plates, comfy bed, etc. My husband really enjoyed the private salt water pool. From what I can gather, they are three rental cottages on the property. The main house where the property owner, Lorna Todd lives, is on the premises as well which is great incase you need their attention immediately. I certainly appreciated Mrs. Todd and her taxi driver for their hospitality. It made our stay super enjoyable. I gave the premises 5/5 stars. Conscious Traveler"

This spacious breathtaking cottage located in the lush tropical forests of the Scotland District of Barbados was designed for those who need a quiet location after other activities that takes them to the more touristy locations or just a holiday space to rejuvenate mind and body after working hard as part of their regular routine. The space is part of a vital ecosystem and so guests will be enthralled by the sounds of the tropical animals inhabiting the environment, from birds to bees and the very popular green monkey. The property though very private is located on one acre of land shared by three sisters or jokingly, "The Three Little Pigs." The property has two adjoining but separate partments. My brother Mark lives in one apartment and is very quiet but helpful. Interaction with family is up to guest.

ScottGullyEcoLodge boasts local seasonal fruits like bananas, plantains, mangoes, cherries, pawpaws, soursops and coconuts. Healing herbs are among the organic garden's delicacies; rosemary, shadon beni and oregano . The many trees surrounding the property lends to fresher breezes and one cannot help but feel healthier and breathe easier in this location. You will stay close to many popular attractions like the St. Nicolas Abbey with its new train tours, the surfing village of Bathsheba and its pools, which are so refreshing and healing as the waters come in from the winds pushed by the North East Trade Winds and then magically calmed by the rocks some of which are part of an old steam engine rail road. Close by as well are: Huntes Gardens and Harrison Cave. Flower Forest Nothing feels better than enjoying the rest of the country and knowing that you are returning to a location of total peace and tranquility.

This cosy 2 bedroom cottage is located in the rustic village of Bathsheba St. Joseph. Beautiful vistas and a fresh Atlantic breeze welcome you to this peaceful area of Barbados. This is a surfers paradise, as you are directly in front of the surf break known as "Parlour" and a 2 min walk to the world famous "Soup Bowl".
Although the generally rough Atlantic waters are not suitable for swimming, there are stunning rock pools that are very safe and offer a totally different experience.
Ideal set up for couples, friends or family to enjoy a peaceful getaway, with the convenience of a minimart nearby, and numerous restaurants within walking distance.
We recommend renting a car for easy commuting, but if you prefer not to, there is a bus stop located in front of the property.

- "This is a perfect surfers location. Beautiful surf directly across the street, the pictures are accurate, the neighbors are friendly and sitting on the porch watching the surf was heaven. It is not "fancy" - if you have a high maintenance American with you this will not be your rental, but if you want a perfect surf spot to enjoy the views and relax book it. The owner was accessible by What's app as was the car rental co. Be sure to stop for groceries before getting to Bathsheba (only a little market nearby very pricey) and walk to the local spots for meals (some are open on weekends only). We needed a car. On the island you will need GPS (google maps worked) - roads are not well marked. The owner of the VRBO set us up on a fabulous fishing trip - caught Wahoo, Mahi and Barracuda. Definitely recommend if you have the right group. We will be coming back. "

Crotona provides a lush tropical experience in an exclusive walled garden with pool.
We have two 1 bedroom apartments, and one 2 bedroom apt each with private open space, and easy access to the pool. Each 1 bed apt has an additional day bed in the living room, suitable for a child. We are in a quiet neighbourhood, only 2 minutes walk to the boardwalk, shops, restaurants, bars and the sea. Walk 10 minutes towards Bridgetown to enjoy horse racing at the Garrison Savannah on Saturdays. Walk 10 minutes to enjoy excellent surfing anywhere from "Sunset" at Rockley Beach to "Brandons" at the drill hall near the Savannah. Walk a little further along the beach to the Hilton, grab a flying fish cutter at Cuz's famous snackette. Walk a bit further along the beach at Carlisle Bay till you come to Lobster Alive, where you can have lunch and cool out with Art and the jazz band on a Sunday afternoon.

- "We loved the grounds of this place and that it was so private. There are only 3 cottages and the main house where the hosts live. The pool is beautiful and the landscaping is amazing. Mark and Priscilla are wonderful hosts who was always available and it was lovely getting to spend time with them. The upper cottage was set up nicely. Both Mark and Priscilla have their art work on the walls and as both are good artists, it was nice to have that.Although the listings says that there is air conditioning, like most of the places in Barbados, that air con is only in the bedroom. The apartment gets quite hot. The listing need to be updated to state that the air con is only in the bedroom as, when we were comparing places, we picked this one thinking that the entire cottage has air, based on the listing.We were told that there had been a quick turn around to prepare our place. We wish that the cottage had been checked prior to our check-in as it was not really ready for us. We had to ask for the cleaner to come back as it was dirty. The cleaner needs to be fired or trained. The light on the kitchen table has so much dust on it, it looks like fur. We had to wash every plate, glass, coffee cup, and the utensils before we could use them.It would be nice to have a baking sheet to use in the oven. It would also be super to have a couple of loungers at the pool.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and really liked our hosts. "

Location, location, location...
Oistins is an area which is well known to tourists/travellers, being famous for its Friday Night Fish Fry, where you can experience great freshly grilled food, live music and entertainment. The cottage is situated on a central residential road with flowing car traffic, and on which buses operate. However, as the property is set off of the main road to Oistins and set slightly back from the road that it is situated on, you are able to enjoy peace & tranquility also.
A number of buses run from Oistins to town (and the various routes along the way, e.g. St Lawrence Gap), and from Oistins straight to the airport and nearby golf course (Durants). Bus stops are within a few minutes walk from the cottage. General amenities such as supermarket, places to eat, bank, are all within walking distance.

- "Our stay at this cottage was truly fantastic, and we will be sure to return again. The cottage is beautifully furnished and equipped with all the amenities we needed to have a comfortable stay. The cottage was clean, modern and cosy, and had a very relaxing feel. The location was perfect, with the nearest beach being less than 5 minutes walk away and within a ten minute walk from the cottage there were places to eat, a supermarket, bank and more beach. Across the road from the cottage is a convenience store where you can buy essentials, such as food items and toiletries. I would recommend that you try Oistins Fish Fry on a Friday night, which is just a short walk away from the cottage. My girls were kept well entertained with the board games that were in the cottage and the large garden where they could play until their hearts were content. Philip Drive is a quiet, old Barbadian neighbourhood with beautiful Coralstone homes set among some big old trees. In the immediate area you will find the residences of the Governor general of Barbados, the central bank governor, the British high comissioner, the Canadian high commissioner as well as homes of many leading business people and heads of international agencies. The Canadian high commission is also in the area. Pine gardens is an upscale community with large heritage type properties. It is very close to the main town called Bridgetown where you can find the hustle and bustle of the city with it's many duty free shops. It is very close to Belleville where there are many doctors and dentists offices, emergency medical amd hospital there also. We are 2 mins frm Canadian high commission, 5 mins from the Brittish H.C &10 mins US Embassy. We are 5 mins away from our popular crystal clear south coast beaches. Nothing is far from Philip drive.
You can take a short walk to the beach. If you like or There is a bus stop just 10 mins walk from your cottage to go to other beaches and attractions on the south coast. There is a different bus stop 10 min walk to go to the west coast of the island. Alternately we recommend a reliable taxi service or our car rental service available on site Ask host for rate. The airport is approx 18 mins away.

The East Coast is the ideal place to see the best sunrises in the island. Sunrise usually occurs between 5:30am and 6:00am, depending on the time of year. You will have a front row seat right from the veranda.

Bus stops are about 2 minutes walk from the cottage.
