Our secluded beachfront cottage is perfect for relaxing and cutting off from routine busy lifestyles. Usually, the only sound we hear is the rhythmic hush of waves on the beach outside, birdsongs and the rustle of palm leaves in the breeze.

The cottage is so close to the sea that you can enjoy watching it from your bed and every room and verandah, and the sound of waves will soothe and lull you throughout the day. And our verandah is just as perfect for reading, meditating, snoozing, or just unwinding, as it is for sea-gazing! So very tranquil and scenic with the most spectacular sunsets.
The cottage is part of a large property and adjoins our larger 3-bedroom house but a garden wall and separate entrance means that you will have complete privacy here.

On entering the property, the breezy verandah with wood pillars and traditional terracotta-tiled roof immediately becomes the place where everyone loves to sit or gather. It is also a great space to dine al fresco. Lanterns on the verandah at night set such a lovely romantic ambience.
The cottage has a very comfortable, air-conditioned bedroom, with a queen-size bed and an attached en suite modern bathroom. The windows open up the room even more and let in an abundance of light and sea-breeze.

The kitchen is fully functional and is equipped with a fridge, microwave, induction cook-top, and cookware. Our coffee-station is one of the most scenic ones ever, with a window that overlooks the sea.

Our home is on the bay just across the river from Fort Kochi, nestled in a quiet residential area of colonial Cochin. With a quite beach, beautiful lanes and Chapels it is ideal for a calm and relaxed holiday. It is in the heritage zone of 'Our Lady of Hope Church' (built 1604 AD). It's our Little cottage which we built as our vacation home. A short 5 min ferry ride takes you into the heart of Fort Kochi ,with it's historic places and restaurants all within walking distance .

The space
It's a Portuguese style villa with patio doors all through the house. With back patio and front courtyard, the house has an airy outdoor living experience. The living room has a sofa-cum bed , 5 seater sofa, dining table with chairs and an open kitchen.
We can also provide authentic Kerala style home cooked food, prepared by our caretaker if informed one day prior of whenever you need it . The prices are reasonable and has to be paid directly to him.
You can watch people fishing, relax on an uncrowded beach, view an amazing sunset, watch fishermen working with their Chinese fishing nets, see ships cruise through mouth of the bay or just go for a leisurely stroll through the by-lanes.
An easy 10 minutes drive takes you to Marine Drive -Ernakulam center of Cochin city.

The entire home is accessible. It is not shared by other guests. Car can be parked near the beach or the road just behind our place. Both are around just 50 meters from Tamara. And it's safe

Other things to note
1) We do not rent it to unmarried couples. And friends group of more than four. Please excuse us.
2) As mentioned in the description,We can provide authentic Kerala style home cooked food on prior notice at additional rates.
3) Swiggy and Zomato too is available for food delivery but will take much more time than it shows. So please plan to order much earlier.
4) Cleaning is not done by us during your stay unless it's a long stay . If you need the house to be mopped or do the dishes, my caretaker can do so at a price.
5) We have a dry vaccum cleaner which can be used by the guest for cleaning the Floor . Ask the caretaker to guide you first time if needed .

Enjoy your holidays at this cozy retro style cottage ( an ac bedroom, kitchen and a bathroom )within a large peaceful yard with lots of greenery. It comes with a spacious corridor facing beautiful garden and lawn where you can enjoy your cup of hot tea. You can also take in the view of our century old mango tree, a huge lawn and a pigeon house to start your perfect day. It is situated at a perfect distance from the beach and major tourist attractions in both Fort Kochi and Mattancherry.
