- "This hostel has a variety of room options (some have terraces) and both the rooms and the common spaces are newly-renovated, well-designed and comfortable! There is also a roofdeck with a spectacular view of Ponta Delgada. The property is a renovated multi-storey 1930's townhouse with a central mahogany staircase (and elevator) that has been in the same family since 1961.The grandson manages the place and is very knowleadgeable about tours and very responsive to requests. Just turn right and walk for 15 ish minutes and you're at the little garden in the main bit if town. My private (en suite) room was nice and clean, although the air con was not working. Could pop a chair on the balcony... would make it usable... Bring your own cutlery - there was a single knife available between everyone staying. I understand that people steal stuff, but it needs to be replaced. Great little corner shop just outside. BUT don't buy much food in one go - there is a single fridge for everyone staying, and no cupboard space. Breakfast food is yogurt and sliced bread, ham, cheese and jam. Single bunk bed, inserted in a mixed dormitory with 6 beds, balcony and air conditioning. Each bed includes a locker (65x50x20cm), electrical socket and reading light.

With only 6 rooms and located in the historic center of Ponta Delgada, in front of the iconic Mercado da Graça, Sky PDL stands out for its wide panoramic views over the city, the sea and the mountains.
Being a building from the first half of the 20th century, it was home of the owner's family, creating memories for four generations. Now the family wants to provide memories for our guests, on the rehabilitated building, with the aim of offering maximum comfort and tranquility, preserving its architectural identity.
